A viral video has revealed that CVS is locking up darker makeup shades behind security devices while lighter ones sit open — because stores secure what thieves steal most, and the data backs it up.

A shopper at CVS captured the scene with lighter skin-tone foundations and concealers displayed freely, no locks and no tags, yet the darker shades were all secured behind anti-theft devices.

This isn’t “racism.” It’s basic loss prevention. Retailers don’t waste money locking up products that don’t walk out the door. They follow the numbers.

The wider retail theft crisis makes it crystal clear why. The National Retail Federation’s 2025 Impact of Retail Theft and Violence report shows shoplifting incidents jumped another 19 percent from 2023 to 2024 — on top of a staggering 93 percent surge since 2019.

Retailers reported double-digit increases in both shoplifting and merchandise theft heading into 2026, with aggressive thieves becoming the norm. Losses are projected near $48 billion this year alone.

Stores aren’t profiling customers. They’re protecting their shelves from repeat patterns of theft. And those patterns line up with hard crime statistics.

Nationwide arrest data from 2019 — the most comprehensive recent breakdown available — reveals Black Americans accounted for 26.6 percent of shoplifting arrests while making up just 13 percent of the U.S. population.

Court Backs First-Grader in Suit Over School Reaction to ‘Any Life’ Matters Drawing

Can a “schoolyard dispute” warrant federal court intervention? Do first-graders have First Amendment rights? The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit just gave a resounding yes to both questions.

The case centers on a first-grader identified in court documents as B.B. After her teacher read a story about Martin Luther King Jr., B.B. drew a picture of her and her multiracial friend group. “Black Lives Mater [sic] any life,” it said. Sweet, right?

Apparently not to the administrators at Viejo Elementary School in California’s Capistrano Unified School District. The school’s principal, Jesus Becerra, spoke with B.B. about her drawing, allegedly telling her that it was inappropriate. According to B.B., she was also barred from recess for two weeks.

B.B.’s mother, Chelsea Boyle, sued, alleging that her daughter’s First Amendment rights had been violated.

A federal district court sided with the school and Becerra, holding that B.B.’s drawing was not protected by the First Amendment. “This schoolyard dispute—like most—does not warrant federal court intervention,” wrote U.S. District Judge David O. Carter in the court’s 2024 opinion.

Now, the 9th Circuit has weighed in and reversed course. “We hold that elementary students’ speech is protected by the First Amendment,” the appeals court ruled, vacating the lower court’s decision and sending the case back for reconsideration.

“Schools may restrict students’ speech only when the restriction is reasonably necessary to protect the safety and well-being of its students,” the 9th Circuit judges wrote.

Former TV Reporter Arrested After Palomar Mountain Shootings Investigation

A former television news reporter has been arrested in connection with two shootings in San Diego County that investigators say may have been motivated by race, as reported by The New York Post.

Ricardo Berron, a former on-air reporter for the Spanish-language networks Univision and Telemundo, was taken into custody on March 10 at San Diego International Airport as he was preparing to leave for a vacation, according to authorities.

Following his arrest, Berron briefly addressed the allegations when speaking outside his home in Chula Vista.

“Pretty soon everything will be cleared up,” Ricardo Berron told the California Post at his $900,000 home, where he lives with his wife and children.

Berron, 46, is a married father of five. The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac approximately 11 miles from downtown San Diego. The property measures about 1,700 square feet.

Law enforcement officials say Berron is facing potential hate crime charges connected to two separate shootings involving Hispanic victims on Palomar Mountain, located about 67 miles north of Chula Vista.

Authorities believe the same suspect was involved in both incidents.

Investigators allege Berron targeted the victims because of their ethnicity.

Pro-Palestine Activists in Virginia Paint Watermelon Mural, Angering Black Residents Who Say it’s Racist

Pro-Palestinian activists in Richmond, Virginia have painted a watermelon mural on a local building. The seeds of the fruit are arranged to spell out ‘Free Palestine.’

The watermelon has long been a symbol of Palestinian activism, but it is also seen by many as a black stereotype and some black residents are not cool with the painting as a result.

This is a classic case of woke leftism being aligned with racist tropes and not even realizing it.

Richmond mural supporting Palestine sparks debate over watermelon imagery in Black community

A mural is drawing attention from Black community leaders who say they don’t have a problem with the message, just the watermelon imagery.

The mural, at the intersection of Brookland Boulevard and North Avenue in Richmond’s Northside neighborhood, depicts a darker-skinned Palestinian woman holding a slice of watermelon, with the seeds spelling out “Free Palestine.”

Dr. Faedah Totah with Virginia Commonwealth University said the symbol traces back to 1967, when Israel occupied the West Bank and Gaza Strip and banned the Palestinian flag.

“The Palestinian flag has four colors, red, white, black, and green, which also happens to be the color of a slice of a watermelon,” Totah said. “So, what ends up happening when you ban the flag is that people become creative in finding different ways to express their national identity.”…

The mural is located in a historically Black neighborhood undergoing gentrification. Jonathan Davis, the former president of the Richmond Crusade for Voters and also a former president of the Battery Park Civic Association, said the imagery gave him pause.

“I was taken aback because of the imagery that it represents, a watermelon up to the mouth of a Black woman,” Davis said. “So to me, understanding the history of our people and what happened during the Jim Crow era and how those images were used to demean us and make fun of us and ridicule us and run us out of the business, it really bothered me.”

So-Called ‘Moderate’ San Francisco Mayor Signs Ludicrous Reparations Scheme That Could Award Each Black Resident $5 MILLION

The People’s Republic of San Francisco has decided to enshrine race-based reparations into law with the help of their alleged ‘moderate‘ mayor.

As the Daily Mail reported, San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie gave black residents of his city an early Christmas gift by signing a reparations bill that could grant each one of them a whopping $5 MILLION in reparations. The legislation was signed on December 23.

Per The Daily Mail, here is how this scheme will unfold:

The ordinance establishes a reparations fund, as recommended by the city’s African American Reparations Advisory Committee (AARAC) in its 2023 report.

The legislation establishes the fund but does not allocate any money to it, setting up the framework for any future contributions, whether they be through the city or privately donated.

The AARAC is tasked with developing ‘recommendations for repairing harm in our black communities,’ according to its website. Per the 2023 report, every eligible African-American adult in San Francisco should be handed a $5 million lump sum to ‘compensate the affected population for the decades of harm that they have experienced.’

Approximately 50,000 black people live in San Francisco, and the qualifying requirements remain unclear.

This move also comes despite the city facing a whopping $1 billion budget deficit. But this did not deter Lurie in the slightest.

“For several years, communities across the city have been working with the government to acknowledge the decades of harm done to San Francisco’s black community,” Lurie wrote.

“While that process largely predates my administration, I am signing the legislation to create this fund in recognition of the work of so many San Franciscans and the unanimous support of the Board of Supervisors.”

Roughly a week before Lurie signed off on the plan, the city’s Board of Supervisors voted in favor of it.

Hunter College Professor Caught on Hot Mic Making Racist Comments About Black Students

Hunter College has placed associate biology professor Allyson Friedman on leave following widespread backlash over comments she made during a virtual public meeting that were captured on a hot mic, as reported by The New York Post.

The incident occurred Feb. 10 during a New York City School District 3 Community Education Council meeting. Friedman, who attended as a parent of a public school student, was inadvertently heard interrupting a Black eighth-grade student who was speaking about concerns over the potential shutdown of her Upper West Side public school.

A recording of the meeting circulated online, prompting swift criticism.

“They’re too dumb to know they’re in a bad school,” Friedman was heard saying while her microphone was unknowingly unmuted.

“If you train a black person well enough, they’ll know to use the back,” she added. “You don’t have to tell them anymore.”

‘Charlie Kirk Wasn’t Assassinated, He Died From White on White Gun Violence’: Florida State Dem Rep

Ashley Viola Gantt criticized efforts to commemorate Charlie Kirk, arguing that he should not be honored in Florida and that discussions surrounding his death should be framed with more precise language.

Speaking about proposals to mark a day of remembrance, Gantt said the First Amendment already protects free speech and questioned the need for additional recognition.

“We want to talk about exercising free speech. Let’s ball so the First Amendment protects free speech. We don’t need this day of remembrance for a man that was mediocre and racist, and I say mediocre at best, he was not a Floridian,” Gantt said.

“He had no ties to Florida other than owning property.”

Gantt added that Florida is home to individuals and organizations who promote what she described as non-divisive free speech.

“We have a number of Floridians, both individuals and organizations that promote free speech that is not divisive, like this individual was,” she said.

Addressing how Kirk’s death has been characterized in public discourse, Gantt emphasized the importance of word choice.

Here’s what everybody’s missing about Newsom’s statement to ‘low IQ’ black voters…

Every election cycle, super-rich, out-of-touch white Dem politicians try to convince us that they’ve got some mega magical connection with minority voters. They claim to understand minority struggles, speak their language, and know exactly what these communities need. How do they know this? Well, nobody’s known until now. Apparently, wealthy white liberals understand black voters because they also have low SAT scores and can’t read.

Yes, you heard that right.

Gavin Newsom just announced this to the world.

At an event that was supposed to focus on outreach to black voters, Newsom twisted himself into a pretzel, trying to present himself as relatable to black folks. Instead, Gavin wandered straight into the kind of tone-deaf territory that has swallowed Dems whole for years. Not the open hostility kind of stuff, but something just as evil. That soft, patronizing vibe is called the “bigotry of low expectations.”

For readers who may not be familiar with the phrase, it refers to a mindset the left encapsulates, where they believe minority groups need special intellectual or behavioral allowances because they’re so unskilled and unable. They dress up this bigotry as compassion or empathy, or even “rescuing.” But the real world sees it for what it is: condescension.

And Newsom just handed that critique gallons of fresh fuel.

Here is the moment that’s making the rounds online. While trying to emphasize that he’s a totally-relatable-and-not-elite-kinda-guy, Newsom basically called all black people low-IQ dullards.

Democrats Are Obsessed With White Men

You can’t turn around these days without seeing some leftist somewhere whining about white men. As a white man, it seems like every Democrat is an obsessed stalker – it’s enough to make us want to take out a restraining order. I speak for all white men in this piece because, after watching a week’s worth of fawning coverage of the death of Jesse Jackson that glossed over or ignored his racism, affair (oh, the stories I’ve heard) and grifting, I remembered who he simply appointed himself a “leader” and the corporate media crowned him the spokesman for black people, so I’ll take the job for whitey for today.

What is the obsession the left has with us? It’s flattering, I suppose. We’ve done pretty well, though you never know it from the way Democrats talk about us. We created democracy, pretty much all the rights everyone enjoys and all the concepts behind them, in one way or another. Literally all the technology Democrats use to complain about us – television, computers, internet, print, etc. Hell, even the languages most liberals speak. We don’t sit around and demand everyone rub our feet over the endless list of things we’ve created and/or made better, but not being screamed at for the penis envy of bigots isn’t too much to ask.

But there’s no money in honesty with Democrats; bigotry pays well on the left and victimhood is their Bitcoin.

Bigot trash and child of criminal immigrants, Wajahat Ali, hates white men and can’t stop talking about us. Maybe he blames us for his corrupt parents and their role in the fraud scheme that got them sent to prison? He’s mad about it, rather than at them for their role in it – can’t really blame him, how wants to believe the worst about their parents? But we didn’t have anything to do with it.

Ali was whining to fellow bigot Joy Reid about us, “The fragility of mediocre, terrified white men is destroying America.” We’ve done pretty well for “mediocre, terrified” people, considering all we’ve accomplished. The enlightenment alone would be enough for us to rest on the way our subset of Greeks basically rest on creating democracy and feta cheese, but we didn’t.

Newsom Lashes Out with F-Bomb After Getting Roasted For Telling Black Crowd He Can Relate to Them Because He “Can’t Read”

California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom came under fire for telling a black crowd that he can relate to them because he can’t read.

Newsom kicked off his book tour this weekend in the South and things went awry during his stop in Atlanta.

The tour for his new book, titled, ‘Young Man in a Hurry: A Memoir of Discovery,’ started in Nashville on Saturday.

On Sunday, Newsom told a predominantly black crowd in Atlanta that he’s a ‘960 SAT guy who can’t read.’

“I’m not—you know—I’m not trying to impress you (pointing at Mayor Dickens). I’m just trying to impress upon you that I’m like you. I’m no better than you. You know, I’m a 960 SAT guy. And I’m not trying to offend anyone—trying to act all there if you got 940—but literally, a 960 SAT guy,” Newsom said.

“You’ve never seen me read a speech because I cannot read a speech. It may be the wrong business to be in,” he said.
