Here’s the Dirty Little Secret Behind the Democrats’ Collapse
Another day, another story about the Democrats suffering a total loss of confidence with the American people. My black, shriveled heart is pumping pure schadenfreude these days, particularly right now as it occurs to me the core problem vexing today’s Donks.
They got what they wanted.
Democrats weaponized the federal bureaucracy against the president who was elected to run it, handicapping the implementation of his policies and eventually helping to drive him from office. The Bad Orange Man was out of office, presumably forever, once the weaponized judiciary was done with him.
They installed a puppet in the Oval Office, one who would sign pretty much anything they put in front of him… even if they had to have him do it by autopen.
They jacked up peacetime federal spending to wartime levels while opening up the southern border to everyone from legitimate refugees (I’ll stipulate there were at least a few in the mix) to sex traffickers to cartels to actual terrorists.
They got their Green New Deal via the so-called Inflation Reduction Act, funneling a trillion dollars to Democrat-affiliate “winners” whose products would be mandated on buyers while handicapping the losers with crushing regulations.
They took Iran off the Naughty List, helped turn Europe’s worst war in 80 years into an overlong grift-fest, and showed enough daylight between Washington and Jerusalem to make the Oct. 7 terror invasion nearly inevitable.
They got men’s sexually aberrant behavior — a predatory form of autogynephilia (and not to be confused with genuine gender dysphoria) — elevated to “the civil rights issue of our time,” as Joe Biden put it on several occasions.
All the while, Democrats’ most important constituencies in education, entertainment, and the media enjoyed a flood of unaccountable dollars from the American taxpayers. All they had to do was breathlessly repeat — and in the case of inconvenient truths like the Hunter Biden laptop or COVID’s leaky lab origin — enforce the party line.
They even got the GOP House to play along for the second half of Biden’s term by locking in Democrat spending priorities with a series of continuing resolutions.
I could go on. And on. But you get the point.
EYES ON SERBIA: Opposition Politicians and Students are Plotting Secret Coup and CIVIL WAR – With Likely Outside Assistance – Starting with Saturday’s Protest – PLANNING SESSIONS CAUGHT ON AUDIO
Last May, lawmakers in Serbia elected a new government with several pro-Russian ministers.
Two of the current regime’s ministers are pro-Russian and were sanctioned by the Biden regime. President Aleksandar Vučić refused to join Western sanctions against Russia while allowing Moscow propaganda outlets such as RT and Sputnik to spread their narrative throughout the Balkans.
The current Serbian government is not a member of the EU but has requested a formal bid to join the Union.
Of course, the tyrants and globalists running the EU will not stand for such irreverent treatment from a future member state.
So what does the EU and Washington do when a smaller, weaker, and independent country gets out of line? They run a coup and eliminate the current regime, of course.
The US has plenty of experience overthrowing and replacing regimes with more compliant leaders.
This Saturday – just hours from now – protests are planned in Serbia against the sitting, democratically elected government. The protesters do not approve of the current leadership’s positions especially its standing on the Ukraine-Russia War.

MAGA Florida Homeowner Fined $60K for Massive Trump Banners Beats County in Lawsuit
A MAGA-loving Florida homeowner won a lawsuit against Walton County this month after racking up more than $60,000 in unpaid fines for hanging massive pro-Trump banners for several years on the side of his house on County Road 30A.
Walton County code compliance officials told homeowner Marvin Peavy that his various Trump banners violate the scenic corridor code after someone filed a complaint, WJHG reported. Peavy refused to take his banners down, and the county began fining him $50 daily for his displays. Peavy argued the county code violated his First Amendment rights.
“Their laws cannot supersede my First Amendment right, so they came after my constitutional rights which they cannot do. It woke me up as a patriot,” Peavy told NewsChannel 7 in November. “I’m very happy that they came after me and I woke up, I’ve got great lawyers. We feel very good about what’s going on. The U.S. Supreme Court has already ruled that you can have signs on your home. They cannot do anything about it.”
FOIA Requests Target Biden Administration’s Financial Surveillance
Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) has proceeded with filing a number of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests with the Treasury Department, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The goal is to receive relevant information regarding the Biden administration’s alleged weaponization of government and censorship.
This is yet another attempt to shed light on how third-party groups and organizations were used to circumvent a number of constitutional prohibitions.
ADF’s focus this time is on the previous administration’s policy of using the issue of domestic extremism to, in fact, negatively affect its political opponents – in the cases brought up in these FOIA requests, via access to financial records of US conservatives.
An iteration of the Big Government-Big Tech collusion, which has been investigated by Congress, this one is about Big Governments and Big Banks suspected of having worked together to achieve political goals. But not always by collaborating directly – and this is one of the aspects ADF wants to understand better.
Namely – the involvement of private organizations and businesses hired (“outsourced”) in one way or another, to help banks identify what were designated to be purveyors of misinformation, and domestic extremism.
The FOIAs also aim to reveal the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) role in flagging what are said to be “conservative-coded” transactions (the keywords here are reported to be, “Trump,” “MAGA”, etc.)

In yet another disturbing escalation of leftist harassment tactics, President Trump impersonator and conservative activist Shawn Farash and his wife, Brennan, became the latest victims of a dangerous swatting attack at their home in Tennessee on Thursday night.
Law enforcement officers were dispatched to their residence after receiving a false report of a double homicide and an alleged plan for “suicide by cop.”
The terrifying ordeal comes just hours after TGP contributor Patty McMurray reported on two other conservatives—independent journalist Nick Sorter’s parents and X influencer Gunther Eagleman—being similarly targeted.
This pattern of leftist intimidation against outspoken conservatives shows no sign of slowing down, with radical actors weaponizing law enforcement to silence and terrorize their political opponents.
For those unfamiliar, “swatting” is a criminal act where bad actors call in false emergency reports—often claiming violent crimes like murders or hostage situations—to provoke an armed police response at a targeted individual’s home. The results can be catastrophic, with innocent people being placed in imminent danger as law enforcement officers, unaware of the hoax, arrive prepared to engage a violent suspect.
The Dems Are… Winning?! Hakeem Jeffries: ‘We Have the Republicans on the Run!’
To me, it sounds like a nail bragging about its rivalry with a hammer. (Or a bag of doughnuts bragging about its rivalry with Lizzo.) But nonetheless, here we are:
“We have the Republicans on the run!” announced House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.
Turns out the Democrats aren’t just bravely battling back against President Trump. They’re actually winning — and now Old Man Trump is running scared!
In a call with party leaders, Jeffries described Trump’s recent speech to Congress as “one of the most divisive speeches by a president in American history” and predicted, because of the economy, MAGA’s end was nigh:
Because it’s collapsing on his watch. They made promises with respect to lowering costs. Costs aren’t going down, they are going up. Inflation is going up. You know what’s coming down? Donald Trump’s poll numbers, because he is mismanaging the economy and the American people are feeling it…
We have them on the run in terms of health care – particularly as it relates to Medicaid. House Democrats stand on the side of Medicaid and the American people. Republicans are trying to enact the largest cut to Medicaid in American history, and we need to keep the pressure on them legislatively and in communities all across the country.
That’s Jeffries’ battlefield assessment: Finally, everything is going the Democrats’ way. They’ve got the momentum, baby! And Jeffries wasn’t done:
We have to continue to call them out on their extremism — we will do that. And all of that is being done in service of trying to pass massive tax breaks for their billionaire donors like Elon Musk and wealthy corporations. So, we have them on the run, and we’re going to keep our foot on the gas pedal. [emphasis added]
See? Things are going so swimmingly; the Dems just need to keep their foot on the gas and they’ll cruise to victory. Easy-peasy!

There’s a new media narrative that’s just beginning to pick up steam, and it goes like this: Trump hit his high point on Election Day, and ever since then, he’s been falling in the polls. The public feels deceived and tricked by his broken promises, especially with the economy. Trump is weak, vulnerable, and afraid. Finally, the Democrats have all the momentum!

Remember Kerensky: The Failure of Reformist Regimes
The Trump administration assumed power in the thick of public fury, following five years of brutal despotism, economic decline, and many years, if not decades, of declining trust. The intensity of the public mood is rarely reported by legacy media without condemnation. The denials of regime failure by the entire establishment in every sector has only caused incredulity to grow and spread.
No matter how much you think people are angry, you are likely underestimating the level of public disgust with the regime, not just in the US but all over the industrialized world.
In 2024, it reached such a fevered pitch that the seemingly impossible happened with the election of a former president who had been subject to nonstop media demonization, lawfare without precedent, and even assassination attempts.
The attacks only helped him. Trump’s party was swept into power. That includes control of a Congress with many members who seem to be unaware of the urgency of the moment.
Under such conditions, this cannot be the end of the story. There is a long history of reformist governments failing to act fast enough to quell public demand for change. It is typical that such governments underestimate the fire behind the historical forces at work. They come to believe that the problem is fixed by a personnel change, whereas the real issue is systemic and comprehensive.
The classic case is Russia, 1917.
The government of Alexander Kerensky (1881-1970) ruled Russia for only eight months, following the toppling of the Romanov monarchy and before the Bolshevik Revolution of October 1917. It was supposed to be an agent of calm reform; it ended as a parenthesis between the old regime and the new.
Kerensky was a lawyer, a reformer, and a non-communist supporter of labor-led social democracy. Active in anti-government protests and denunciations for years, Kerensky seemed like the right man for the job. He had one foot in the old world and one in the new.
On taking power, he found himself in the position of making judgments about the pace and path of reform efforts. He had to deal with a collapsing economy, revolutionary fervor among the workers and peasants, and grave suspicion toward the whole of the ruling classes, the military in particular.
He proclaimed Russia to be a Republic of the Western variety and had every intention of holding elections and shepherding into being a new type of ruling regime in Russia. The war would end, land would go to the peasants, inflation would stop, and people would find their voice in government.
Just not yet. It had to be orderly, in Kerensky’s view.
His mistake was in thinking that he was in charge of the motion of history. He made a fateful judgment in thinking it was all about him and not the movement that gave rise to his position. He decided to continue the war and make one final push for victory. That included an intensification of conscription in the midst of inflation. That decision ended in disaster.
Dems Are Hoping to F-Bomb Their Way Into America’s Hearts

I hope that all of you who live in federal time slave states are adjusting to whatever sort of springing it was you did on Saturday night. That must have been a lot after the rigors of celebrating International Women’s Day. So. Many. Sandwiches.
My friend Ed Morrissey did a deep dive at HotAir about the present state of Daylight Saving (NO “S”!) Time, and whether the government is going to do something about it. Given my notorious lack of faith in the federal government, I know whatever it does regarding DST will just make it worse.
We’ve been spending a lot of time lately examining the thoroughly wretched state of the once-functional Democratic Party. The struggle is real for present-day Dems. It’s an especially rough go for the Dem water-carriers in the mainstream media. Once the water is carried, the lipstick has to be put on the pig, and they’re forever running low on that these days.
The kinds of things that they are forced to spin for their masters at the Democratic National Committee aren’t exactly flattering. This is from something that Rick wrote over the weekend:
For Democrats, the experience is particularly unnerving. It has unmoored many of them from civilized society and sent them on a search for “authenticity.” As Politico reports, “one unifying thread as they try to invigorate their connection to the American voter has been a reach for profanity.”
You know, I have to give credit where credit is due: This is definitely a novel concept for bouncing back after a major electoral defeat. It’s certainly more cost-effective than traditional political outreach methods like television advertising or direct mail. And who needs fresh policy ideas when you can bond with the voters by simply wagging a salty tongue?
I’ll admit to being a little torn here. Lately, I think it would be nice to go for a day or two without writing another “Yeesh, look what the Democrats are up to now” column. Then again, that’s a rich vein of material to keep mining. There’s also the fact that this particular iteration of the Democratic Party is so filled with lunatics that there is some variety to the expressions of madness.
To the surprise of no one, Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas shows up in this story. She is rapidly establishing herself as the Queen of the Democratic toilet. If the Dems ever do eventually come up with any coherent plans for emerging from the political exile that they are in at the moment, there’s a good chance that Crockett’s perpetually open foul mouth will interfere with them. I’ve got a feeling about this one. In fact, I told Paula last week that we might want to get more pictures of Crockett for our photo library because I’m sure we’re going to be writing about her a lot in the coming months.
None of it will be flattering, by the way.
