Woke Charlotte mayor says city ‘can’t arrest our way out of issues’ like ‘mental health’ after footage of brutal murder goes viral

Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles is facing backlash after responding to the brutal stabbing of a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee by saying the city “will never arrest our way out” of issues like homelessness and mental health.

The victim, Iryna Zarutska, was stabbed to death in late August while riding a light rail train. The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Decarlos Brown, who had a long criminal history and no prior connection to Zarutska. 

In her first statement following the murder, Lyles emphasized that the suspect appeared to have mental health issues and claimed that the transit system in Charlotte is “by and large” safe.

“We will never arrest our way out of issues such as homelessness and mental health,” Lyles said, according to WCNC. “Mental health disease is just that — a disease like any other that needs to be treated with the same compassion, diligence and commitment as cancer or heart disease.”

The case has since brought renewed attention after surveillance footage released by the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) showed the incident, where Brown was seen sitting behind the victim before suddenly attacking her at random. Brown pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed Zautska multiple times before casually walking away with blood dripping from his knife and hands.

“The video of the heartbreaking attack that took Iryna Zarutska’s life is now public. I want to thank our media partners and community members who have chosen not to repost or share the footage out of respect for Iryna’s family,” Lyles said in her recent statement, per WCNC. “This was a senseless and tragic loss. My prayers remain with her loved ones as they continue to grieve through an unimaginable time.”

She continued, “Like so many of you, I’m heartbroken — and I’ve been thinking hard about what safety really looks like in our city. I remain committed to doing all we can to protect our residents and ensure Charlotte is a place where everyone feels safe.”

The suspect has been charged with first-degree murder, but this charge is yet another in a lengthy criminal history. 

Brown has spent the majority of his adult life in and out of jail. According to the New York Post, his criminal record dates back to 2011 and includes felony larceny, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and communicating threats.

Trump Administration Looking at Ways to Ban Transgender People from Purchasing Firearms Following Recent School Shootings

The Trump Administration is considering a bold action that will undoubtedly spark a significant debate about public safety and the Second Amendment in the wake of recent school shootings by transgender individuals.

As The Daily Wire reported, the Trump Department of Justice is looking at potentially barring those who identify as transgender from purchasing firearms.

“Individuals within the DOJ are reviewing ways to ensure that mentally ill individuals suffering from gender dysphoria are unable to obtain firearms while they are unstable and unwell,” a Justice Department official explained to The Daily Wire.

A DOJ source told CNN that one way this could work is for Trump to issue a declaration that people who identify as transgender are mentally ill and thus cannot possess firearms.

The outlet notes that current federal law says that a judge must declare a person to be mentally “defective” before being stripped of their right to own guns.

The New York Post reports that members of the Department of Justice DOJ) think the move can be approved as a follow-up on Trump’s executive order preventing trans folks from serving in the military.

The far-left advocacy group GLAAD lashed out upon hearing the trans individuals may be declared mentally ill and no longer allowed to own guns.

“Instead of actual solutions, the administration is again choosing to scapegoat and target a small and vulnerable population,” a GLAAD spokesperson whined. “Everyone deserves to be themselves, be safe, and be free from violence and discrimination.”

Statistics show that the transgender community indeed has a mental health crisis, providing the Trump Administration ammunition for pursuing a potential ban of sorts. For example, statistics show more than 40% of transgender people have attempted suicide, while 56% have engaged in self-harm over their lifetimes.

Hegseth Savagely Fires She/Her Navy Commander and Medical Director for “Transgender Healthcare” at Naval Center in California

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth savagely fired Janelle Marra, a she/her DEI Navy Commander and medical director for “transgender healthcare” at a naval center in California.

“Navy Cmdr. Janelle Marra, a native of Massachusetts, began her Naval Service by the Health Professions Scholarship program in 2004,” her bio read.

“She is currently serving as the Senior Medical Officer over the medical clinics on MCRD-SD, the Deputy Medical Director of Transgender Care for the Navy and Director of Medical Services for Expeditionary Medical Facility Bravo,” Marra’s bio said.

Social media users asked Hegseth to look into this DEI hire who was still serving at a naval center several months into the Trump Administration.

The day after Pete Hegseth was confirmed, he announced that the Department of Defense will no longer tolerate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion under his leadership.

“The President’s guidance (lawful orders) is clear: No more DEI at the Department of Defense. The Pentagon will comply, immediately. No exceptions, name-changes, or delays,” Hegseth said back in January.

MN cops caught in a rather big lie over Catholic Church trans shooter…

Minneapolis police were quick to claim there were “no red flags” in the latest trans shooting, the one that took the lives of two precious young children.

The killer, a man who paraded around in pigtails and called himself female, opened fire inside a Catholic church, murdering two grade school children attending Mass and injuring countless others. Some of the victims are still fighting for their lives in the hospital as we speak.

What’s truly terrifying is how the mainstream media continues to enable this mental illness, even after everything that’s happened, by referring to this man as a woman. It’s enough to make your blood boil.

It’s people like Jake who keep fueling this mental illness and violence. They are completely out of step with everyday Americans on this disturbing trans issue.

And speaking of this twisted teen, the police have now been caught in a lie. They claimed there were “no red flags” with the shooter, but there actually were. Two that we know of, and likely a third.

NBC News:

More than seven years before Robin Westman opened fire on a Catholic school as Mass was underway, killing two children and injuring 17 more worshippers, police were called to a townhouse in the Twin Cities suburb where she lived with her mother.

The heavily redacted police report NBC News obtained from the police department in Eagan, Minnesota, is dated Jan. 26, 2018, and it includes a two-word description explaining why an officer was dispatched to that address: mental health.

It also includes a brief synopsis that reads “assisted Mendota Heights with a check welfare of a juvenile.” Mendota Heights is another Twin Cities suburb.

The name of that juvenile and what exactly prompted police to be summoned to the three-bedroom home on Crane Creek Lane were blacked out in the report.

Two years before the mental health call, police responded to a report of a “criminal offense” at the residence, according to a police report. But beyond noting that the case was closed, the report blacks out all the details describing the event.

So, there may have been up to three serious incidents tied to this disturbed teen, yet police still claimed there were “no red flags.”

Woke Politicization of Medicine: The Logical Flaws in Gender Dysphoria Diagnosis and Care

The medical establishment now draws a distinction between gender identity disorder, which it classifies as a mental disorder, and being transgender, which it insists is not. Official diagnostic manuals such as the DSM-5 and ICD-11 separate the issue into two categories:

  1. Gender dysphoria – distress caused by the incongruence between one’s experienced gender and assigned sex.
  2. Gender incongruence – a mismatch between identity and sex that may not cause distress.

The reasoning is that distress often comes not from the incongruence itself but from social rejection, discrimination, or lack of access to transition-related care. Advocates argue that once people transition and receive support, they may no longer feel distress.

This distinction, however, raises serious questions about consistency in medical diagnosis. In nearly every other psychiatric condition, the diagnosis is based on symptoms within the patient, not society’s response.

PTSD, for example, is defined by intrusive thoughts and hypervigilance, not by whether trauma survivors are stigmatized. Depression is diagnosed by changes in mood, sleep, or appetite.

Autism is based on communication and behavior, schizophrenia on delusions and hallucinations. In all these cases, the diagnosis is rooted in the individual, not in external acceptance or rejection.

Research shows that most people who seek gender-related medical care report distress and therefore meet the criteria for dysphoria.

The supposed separation between dysphoria and incongruence often creates confusion, barriers to care, and inconsistent diagnoses across different contexts.

By shifting the focus from internal symptoms to external social variables, psychiatry has departed from the standard medical model.

Bring Back Asylums: It’s Time To Talk About Transgender Fatigue In America

Transgenderism is not a civil rights movement; it’s a social engineering experiment. The LGBT movement is not a struggle for equal rights; it’s a covert war for political control. The agenda of the people involved in the spheres of trans-activism are radical zealots hellbent on the destruction of their enemies by any means necessary – And if you believe in logic, objective reality, biological science and moral imperative, then you are one of their enemies.

A prime strategy of the trans movement is the indoctrination of our children. They rarely have any children of their own and in order to perpetuate their numbers they must groom future generations to their cause. And, it has become clear that if they can’t indoctrinate our kids, they are perfectly willing to murder our kids.

There are a lot of “watchers on the wall” in the alternative media that have been fighting for decades against the adoption of woke (or politically correct) narratives in America and I think many of us have grown tired of playing games of logic and reason. Many conservatives and libertarians today put endless stock into the power of debate, but after fighting this fight for so long you start to realize that debate rarely changes the minds of zealots.

We can present an airtight case for our ideals to the public and hope for the best, and I think we have been successful in many regards. However, I would suggest that we are not changing people’s views so much as we are informing people who simply weren’t paying attention until now.

We are adding more and more of the fence-sitters to our side, but we are doing very little to solve the root problem. Some conflicts cannot be dealt with using reason. In the end, there is something to be said for brutality over debate.

For the past couple years I have been predicting that the political left was going to take a nose dive (globally) in terms of government influence, but I also predicted that they would grow increasingly unstable and revert to targeted violence over their loss of power. In my article from January titled “The Monkey Wrench Sabotage Of America Begs For An Authoritarian Response”, I noted:

“Leftists throughout modern history have a habit of engaging in destabilization efforts when they don’t get what they want. They view their motivations as sacrosanct and beyond criticism, be it “saving democracy” or “saving the planet” or “taking down capitalists and colonists”.

In every case where the political left had influence over social conditions and then lost that power, they revert to directed exponential disruption and violence from riots to assassination. They claim to care about the right of the majority to have their voices heard, but in reality they don’t care at all. When the majority goes against the leftist narrative, leftists go rogue…”

Damn, I hate being right about this stuff but the evidence speaks for itself.  The thing about the political left is that they are cowards at their core.  Their relationship with warfare is more subversive, avoiding a stand-up confrontation whenever possible and only targeting people who can’t defend themselves.

The latest attack involves a leftist transgender activist named “Robin Westman” (originally Robert Westman, a man pretending to be a woman) murdering two children and injuring 17 others at a Catholic school and church in Minneapolis, then killing himself.

Trans sex offender escapes prosecution after trying to kidnap child during elementary school recess

A transgender registered sex offender will escape prosecution after he tried to kidnap a child from a Colorado schoolyard — thanks to a controversial law that has faced criticism from prosecutors and even the suspect’s lawyer.

Solomon Galligan — who now reportedly goes by Carmen — was found by doctors to be mentally incompetent after he allegedly attempted to snatch the 11-year-old boy during recess at Black Forest Hills Elementary School in Aurora in April 2024.

And because the suspected creep can’t be “restored” to competency, according to his evaluation, the judge overseeing Galligan case was left with no choice but to dismiss the charges under a 2024 amendment to the state’s much-maligned competency law.

After years in and out of the criminal justice system, Galligan, 33, now could again find himself back on the streets, Ryan Brackley, who prosecuted the case as the assistant district attorney in Colorado’s 18th Judicial District, told The Post.

And victims and criminal justice advocates alike are sounding the alarm over the threat.

Mass Shooting in Montana Exposes Mental Health Outsourcing to China

After the horrifying killing in Anaconda, Montana, where Army veteran Michael Paul Brown is accused of killing four people and remains at large, local families are reeling—not just from the violence, but from the unanswered questions about what could have prevented it.

A relative of one of the victims told reporters, “Mental health is real,” referring to Brown’s long-documented struggles with multiple mental health labels that have no objective way to be verified by brain scans, blood work, or x-rays—including schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and bipolar disorder. Like in the case of Robert Card, the 2023 Lewiston, Maine shooter who killed 18 people and injured 13 others, Card was referred for psychiatric review by his Military command.  After the autopsy, Card, who taught explosives for the military, suffered traumatic brain injury. There can certainly be real medical issue that produce symptoms, that might appear to be mental health related but in fact are medical conditions.

Montana’s response to mental health challenges has come under intense scrutiny, especially after state leaders chose to outsource control of the entire mental health system to a global consulting powerhouse tied to China. In 2023, state officials awarded a $300 million contract to Alvarez & Marsal, a New York-based firm partnering with Zhongze Group, a Chinese state-owned conglomerate. The decision locked Montana’s most private health data and program oversight into the hands of consultants with questionable allegiances, bypassing community input and local providers.

AbleChild.org spearheaded the battle to expose these arrangements, demanding transparency and warning of the risks when public health oversight is handed to multinational firms with foreign connections. As tragedy rocks the community, the state’s willingness to let outsiders manage—and profit from—Montana’s most vulnerable populations reflect a crisis not just of care, but of trust.

Beyond Montana, concern is mounting nationally about states outsourcing mental health administration or data management to firms with Chinese partnerships or ownership around data privacy, security, and sovereignty. While Montana’s is one of the highest-profile cases due to the large investment and public outcry, other states have also engaged with global consulting firms whose networks include Chinese interests, sparking debates on protecting vulnerable populations from outside influence.

The mental health killings all have one thing in common: the withholding of mental health records released to the public on exactly who was treating these individuals and the exact names of the drugs prescribed.

Another Mental Health Killing Spree…How Long Will Shooter’s Mental Health History be Hidden?

Last Monday the nation had to endure the horror and tragedy of another mass shooting carried out by another “mentally ill” gunman. The questions that come from this shooting incident should begin with how tough can it be for those in power to finally accept that there’s a problem with the behavioral health model that seriously has been broken for decades?

Nevada resident Shane Tamura drove cross country in record time reportedly hell-bent on shooting up the headquarters of the National Football League (NFL). Unfortunately, the mentally ill Tamura didn’t wait to start shooting at the apparent NFL target but, rather, began shooting in the lobby of the mid-town office building, taking out innocent lives for no apparent reason. A shocking unnecessary tragedy and the powers that be, once again, fail to address the elephant in the room…Tamura was being “treated” for mental illness(es) with serious psychiatric mind-altering drugs.

In a three-page hand-written note found on his lifeless body Tamura whined about Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), a degenerative brain disease associated with head trauma. Yes, Tamura played High School football but never played for any college or for the NFL, his apparent target. And according to one of his former high school coaches Tamura did not sustain any head injuries.

However, Tamura had regularly seen a neurologist who yearly took MRI exams and provided various treatments, including Sumatriptan injections. There is no evidence to date that yearly MRIs revealed any CTE.

But what sport Tamura played in High School really isn’t relevant. What is relevant is that police knew immediately that Tamura had a history of mental illness. As usual, no specific details are ever provided about the alleged “mental illness.” Why? It is allegedly due to this mental illness that innocent lives were taken. Shouldn’t the public have a right to know what specific mental illness Tamura suffered from, what his doctors were providing as “treatment” and how long had Tamura been a mental health patient?

Unfortunately, the public might never get the complete details of the gunman’s mental health issues and drug “treatment,” but it has been revealed through media sources that, despite Tamura’s mental health issues, the gunman was working in security/surveillance at the Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas.

Because Tamura had been taken in on two Mental Health Crisis holds in Nevada, first in 2022 and then again in 2024, investigators may want to look into how Tamura was able to obtain a conceal carry permit in Nevada and, more importantly, work in security at a Las Vegas casino? Further, Tamura had been arrested in 2022 at a Las Vegas casino for trespassing after reportedly “grabbing a security guard and refusing to leave.” Those charges were suspiciously dropped, but one has to wonder how this incident slipped through the Horseshoe Casino’s background check?

But even these incidents don’t provide the data that is necessary to understand the obvious decent into mental illness that the gunman was experiencing. If investigators want to know why this senseless shooting occurred, the first action would have been to subpoena Tamura’s mental health records.

It was early on reported that a “medication” was found in Tamura’s abandoned automobile in Manhattan, and it later was revealed that an antipsychotic was found in his room where he lived in Las Vegas.

It was only after police reported what was found in his apartment that one can easily surmise that Tamura’s problems weren’t with the NFL but, rather, with the mental health industry. According to news reports police removed from Tamura’s apartment “multiple prescription bottles along with paperwork, other prescription bottles with pills…”

10 Examples That Show That Our Society Is Going Completely Insane

It has been said that there is no cure for crazy.  If that is actually true, we are in all sorts of trouble.  When I was growing up, the crazy people were on the fringes of our society.  Today, it is the normal people that have been pushed to the fringes of our society.  If you think that I am exaggerating, just look around you.  Much of the population is literally behaving like maniacs.  We all laughed when “Idiocracy” was released in theaters in 2006 because it was so absurd, but in retrospect that film was essentially a warning about what would soon be coming.  Over the past 20 years, our society has been turned totally upside down.  The lunatics are running the asylum, and many of them are lashing out in wild and unpredictable ways.

If you think that I am being too harsh, please read the rest of this article.  I truly wish that I was exaggerating, but I am not.  The following are 10 examples that show that our society is going completely insane…

#1 Would you join a “scream club”?.  In Chicago, a very large group of liberals meets even Sunday evening at 7 PM to scream their heads off…

Scream Club Chicago has found an unorthodox way to let off some steam and make life a little easier.

The group meets on the North Avenue Beach pier every Sunday at 7 p.m., where they breathe deeply and collectively scream into the open air over Lake Michigan.

The group was started by Manny Hernande, a breathwork coach who was looking for an outlet to deal with stress. He invited others to join him in the screaming ritual on social media. Now the weekly therapy session are growing in popularity.

#2 In America today, the violent lunatic walking next to you could snap at any moment.  At a Walmart in Michigan, a man that was shopping in the grocery section suddenly pulled out a knife and started stabbing people…

“It was a guy with a knife — people were screaming and running in all directions,” said Tasha Nash, a Walmart employee. “I saw someone stabbed in the eye.”

Amber Paull, another shopper, described the assailant as a foreign man who “just lost it” and began randomly attacking people in the produce and grocery section. “An African American man pulled a hero move — he drew his pistol and tried to stop the attacker,” Paull said. “But then people started screaming, and the suspect managed to slip back into the crowd.”

#3 There are more than half a million victims of child abuse in the United States.  A recent case in Florida was particularly horrifying…

Four adults were arrested after being accused of abusing nine children in their Florida home by caging them with plywood under a bunk bed and spraying them in the face with vinegar as a form of punishment, authorities said Friday.

Husband and wife Brian and Jill Griffeth, along with 21-year-old Dallin and 19-year-old Liberty Griffeth, were arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Friday.

The four adults are suspected of abusing five biological and four adopted children — ages 7 to 16 — at their home in Fort White, Florida, roughly 35 miles northwest of Gainesville, the sheriff’s office said.

#4 Some school districts are now paying kids to come to school because chronic absenteeism has become so pervasive…

Educators are trying to incentivize students to come to school, with some districts even paying students for their attendance.

Others have encouraged teachers to have attendance count towards grades or limit the number of assignments that can be completed online, The Boston Globe reports.

Twenty states reported that more than 30 percent of their students missed at least three weeks of school in 2022-23, according to latest figures from the DoE.

#5 Mad scientists feel like they have the right to “play God” without our permission.  For example, not too long ago a group of mad scientists on the west coast attempted to conduct an unauthorized geoengineering experiment in San Francisco Bay which was intended to dim the sun…

Such research is drawing increased interest at a time when efforts to address the root cause of climate change — burning fossil fuels — are facing setbacks in the U.S. and Europe. But the notion of human tinkering with the weather and climate has drawn a political backlash and generated conspiracy theories, adding to the challenges of mounting even small-scale tests.

Last year’s experiment, led by the University of Washington and intended to run for months, lasted about 20 minutes before being shut down by Alameda city officials who objected that nobody had told them about it beforehand.
