The DNC’s 2024 Autopsy Is Here, and Oh Boy, It’s a Dumpster Fire

The DNC has finally released its 2024 election autopsy, and if you were hoping for a moment of genuine Democratic self-reflection, prepare to be disappointed.

The report took forever to see the light of day, and DNC Chairman Ken Martin’s explanation for the delay was something else. “When I received the report late last year, it wasn’t ready for primetime — not even close — and because no source material was provided, it would have meant starting over. I could not in good faith put the DNC’s stamp of approval on the report that was produced,” Martin said. So the party that wants to run your healthcare couldn’t manage to produce a competent internal review? That’s comforting.

Of course, most of what the autopsy actually concludes isn’t exactly earth-shattering. Democrats didn’t just lose because of Donald Trump. They lost because they’ve spent years drifting away from working-class voters, men, rural America, and irregular voters, while banking everything on anti-Trump messaging and demographic assumptions that turned out to be dead wrong.

Gee, we’ve been saying that for years.

The report traces these organizational, messaging, and cultural failures back more than a decade. That’s the Democrats’ attempt to spread the blame thin enough that no one person has to own it.

I’m sorry, but that’s still such a cop out. Remember, Democrats have had Hollywood, the public school system, and virtually the entire media apparatus doing their bidding for years. With all that infrastructure, losing this badly isn’t a messaging problem. It’s a “you” problem, and from what I can tell, the document doesn’t acknowledge this at all.

Still, some of the admissions in the report are interesting.

“A persistent inability or unwillingness to listen to all voters has provided the other major party with opportunities for advancement,” the report states. It’s not wrong. The party that claims to speak for ordinary Americans stopped listening to them somewhere along the way. The report even concedes it directly. “The party’s connections with working Americans and their families were forged through decades of organizing and engagement,” but “we have lost these relationships.”

That’s a nice way of saying that Democrats have become the party of the coastal elites, not the average American.

There’s also an acknowledgment that Democrats became addicted to identity politics and abstract rhetoric at the expense of kitchen-table issues. The report calls on Democrats to “focus less on abstract issues and identity politics, and connect with voters on the issues they say matter most, including the economy, disaster relief, and addressing housing affordability.”

THEY’RE NOT HIDING IT ANYMORE: Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass Comes Out and Says She’s Open to Letting NON-CITIZENS Vote in City Elections – “We Need to Explore It!”

Radical Democrat Mayor Karen Bass just admitted on camera that she’s willing to hand voting rights to non-citizens in Los Angeles.

Bass responded to a question about far-left Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martínez’s push to let non-citizens vote in local elections by declaring: “Well, I think we need to explore it.”

The exchange, which took place during a Politico California Playbook discussion, laid bare the Democrats’ desperate endgame.

Soto-Martínez, who has endorsed Bass, wants to rewrite the city charter to allow non-citizens – including those here illegally – to cast ballots in city council and school board races. Bass didn’t shut it down. She didn’t call it unconstitutional. She didn’t say it would destroy election integrity.

Instead, she leaned in.

Bass tried to soften the blow by claiming some cities only let “legal” non-citizens who pay taxes vote, but she quickly pivoted to defending sanctuary city policies she rammed through even after Trump’s first election.

California Bureau Chief Melanie Mason:
Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martínez, who has endorsed you, wants to explore ways to let non-citizens vote in city elections. I know that some cities already do this, but, you know, politics is all about timing. With Donald Trump in the White House, is this the right time for Los Angeles to go down this path?

Karen Bass:
Well, I think we need to explore it. Now, I’ve not seen exactly what he’s calling for. I have a little familiarity with what happens in other cities. For example, some cities will allow people to vote in city council and school board elections because they pay local taxes. But they are not necessarily undocumented. They might be here completely legally but have not finished the citizenship process. So, we’ll wait and see.

But, you know, I mean, some questioned that around sanctuary cities too. But we made that into law even though Trump had been elected. And it was because our population of vulnerable immigrants were terrified. That provided a measure of security for a minute. And no one anticipated we’d have the military roll up on us.

Humiliation Ensues for Failed LA Mayor Karen Bass After She’s Confronted with a Brutal Question Regarding City’s Homelessness Crisis

LA Mayor Karen Bass has made the best case for why Spencer Pratt must replace her after she got confronted by an actual reporter with a question over a major broken promise she made to voters.

During an interview on CNN on Tuesday, journalist Elex Michaelson pointed out that Bass failed miserably to keep a promise she made in 2023 to end street homelessness in three years. As everyone knows, LA still has one of the worst homelessness problems in the country.

Bass responded by essentially admitting she was too naive to understand the bureaucracy rampant within the government, but insisted she was making progress. How embarrassing.

She also claimed that this was the first time there had been any decrease in homelessness.

But Michaelson was unimpressed. He told Bass she was only 17.6% of the way toward her goal after three years and asked why anyone should trust her to finish the job.

Bass’s only response was to tout her meager progress, which, at this rate, would amount to only 1/3 of her initial pledge.

HOW CURIOUS: Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger Signing Executive Order to Keep ICE Away From Polling Places 

Virginia’s new Democrat Governor Abigail Spanberger has just announced that she is signing an executive order to keep ICE agents away from polling places.

Why do you suppose such a thing would be necessary?

Democrats assure us that illegal aliens are not voting because they are forbidden from doing so by law. So why would they be worried about ICE showing up at polling places? It just doesn’t make any sense.

NBC News reported:

Virginia Gov. Spanberger to sign order on dealing with federal agents at polling places

Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanberger said Tuesday that she plans to issue an executive order on Wednesday to help election workers respond if federal agents show up at polling sites in Virginia.

Speaking at a conference hosted by the Center for American Progress, a progressive think tank, Spanberger said the order would include details on “how Virginia state employees or people working in support of Virginia’s state-run elections can react to, in this particular case, federal agents who might be appearing at a location where the worry is that they’re principally there to intimidate or scare people.”

Some election officials and Democratic politicians have worried that President Donald Trump — who routinely makes false claims of widespread voter fraud — might interference in this year’s midterm elections, which are run by the state and local officials across the country.

“Throughout history, we have seen efforts at intimidating voters. My worry is that we will continue to see those heightened,” Spanberger said. “The reality is that the challenges and the fear that people might have when going to the polling place is real.”

Colorado Democrats pass law requiring campuses to stockpile abortion drugs

The Colorado legislature recently passed a bill stipulating that all colleges and universities be required to provide abortion pills either in their campus pharmacies or via prescriptions to obtain them off campus. 

The bill passed the state Senate last week and the House in late April, but pro-life and religious leaders told The College Fix that the measure will isolate young women and pressure them to abort their unborn babies.

House Bill 26-1335, sponsored by Democrat Rep. Lorena Garcia, requires higher education institutions “to maintain a stock of abortion medication to dispense to students enrolled at the institution” if there is a pharmacy on campus. If there is no pharmacy, it requires health centers to provide prescriptions for students to obtain abortion pills off campus. 

It stipulates that any institution of higher education, whether public or private, must provide access to abortion pills unless doing so would jeopardize its “federal grant participation, … modify the generally accepted standards of medical practice, or conflict with the institution’s sincerely held religious beliefs or practices.”

If signed into law by Democrat Gov. Jared Polis, the bill will go into effect Aug. 1, 2027.

Nathan Fisher, associate director of the Colorado Catholic Conference, expressed concerns about the bill in an interview with The College Fix. “HB26-1335 will force college-aged women into an isolated environment with one perceived option: abortion.”

The bill holds additional religious concerns for the conference. Fisher told The Fix that while there is a religious exemption for institutions as a whole if they have “sincerely held beliefs,” this is not sufficient. 

Fisher said the exemption “does not protect the First Amendment rights of speech and expression for the millions of students on non-religious campuses whose student tuition and fees will be used for abortion medication or the college faculty and staff who will be forced to permit or even prescribe the medication.”

The College Fix also contacted Rep. Garcia, Sen. Katie Wallace, and Rep. Kenny Nguyen, the lead sponsors of the bill, to ask about the religious freedom concerns, as well as the reasoning for including private campuses in addition to public. None responded to two emailed requests over the past two weeks.

The text of the bill states that “true equality cannot be achieved without access to reproductive health care, including abortion.” 

In her introduction of the bill earlier this spring, Rep. Garcia said a key issue is that “your life is on campus when you are in college, and that limits the ability to access certain services that might not be on campus when you’re there.”

Garcia said Colorado has a “constitutional right to abortion care,” so “it is imperative to make sure that all of our institutions ensure that that right exists.”

In the same session, Rep. Nguyen, a co-sponsor, emphasized the importance of abortion “accessibility.”

“I believe that reproductive rights are truly under attack in the federal government, and this continues to codify laws in the state of Colorado to protect access to abortion,” Nguyen said.

However, Lydia Davis, spokesperson for Students for Life of America, described abortion pills as “anti-woman.”

They have “injured and hospitalized women, proving these drugs have never been about ‘healthcare’ or ‘supporting women,’” she told The Fix in a recent interview.

When asked about the Colorado bill, Davis said that “these deadly drugs have killed millions of babies, harmed women, and polluted our water systems with chemically tainted fetal remains flushed into our sewer systems. This bill would turn college campuses into abortion distribution centers and continue transforming our sewers into cemeteries.”

Democrat Senate Hopeful Graham Platner Admitted Taliban-Compromised Network Was Used for ‘Phone Sex’

Things keep getting more problematic for the Democrats, who have hitched their Senate hopes on Graham Platner, the candidate running to oust Susan Collins in Maine. Platner has a deeply troubling history of attacking police officers, dismissing rural Americans as racist, and blaming women for being victims of sexual assault, telling them to ‘grow up.’

Earlier, we learned that Platner had even more troubling Reddit posts, where he admitted to committing lewd acts in portable toilets. Here’s some of what Fox News Digital reported on that:

In one March 2017 post on Reddit’s r/Military forum, Platner responded to a discussion about nostalgic military smells by writing: “I still have to jerk off every time I sit in a portas—-er … that blue water smell conditioned me.” 

But Platner’s depravity goes far beyond the porta-potty. In fact, his sexual proclivities risked the safety of his fellow service members. 

In reporting exclusively to Townhall, additional unearthed Reddit posts reveal that Platner used a cell phone network infiltrated by the Taliban to have phone sex. 

Platner made the comments under the username P-Hustle, and he confirmed in October of last year that the account belonged to him. In January 2020, Platner posted that he used Roshan, an Afghan cell phone network, to have ‘phone sex’ with his girlfriend:

In 2010-2011, I was in Afghanistan as a rifle squad leader with the Army and I was blown away that everyone had cell phones and the command didn’t seem to remotely care. Hell, the unit I replaced gave me a Roshan phone with some minutes on it, which I totally used to have phone sex with my girl.

Hakeem Jeffries Melts Down With Bitter Rants at Voters, Athletes, and Reality Itself

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries used a progressive event on Tuesday to say House Democrats must defeat MAGA Republicans electorally and “break their spirit,” while also joining the NAACP and Congressional Black Caucus in backing a call for black athletes to boycott SEC institutions in certain southern states over redistricting disputes, as reported by Red State.

Jeffries, D-N.Y., who has led House Democrats since Rep. Nancy Pelosi stepped down from leadership in November 2022, made the remarks as Democrats look ahead to the November midterm elections and the possibility of reclaiming control of the House.

During the progressive panel, Jeffries said House Democrats view the current political moment as a fight against “MAGA extremists.”

Jeffries, who could become House speaker if Democrats take the majority, said that “part of how we as House Democrats view this moment, either MAGA extremists are going to break the country, or we’re going to break them, and our goal is to break them.”

He also predicted Democrats would retake the House.

“As a guarantee, we are taking back control of the United States House of Representatives in November,” Jeffries said.

“We will defeat them,” he continued. “We have to beat them electorally, and then we have to break their spirit, because of the extremism that’s being unleashed on the American people, that’s completely and totally unacceptable.”

What This Graham Platner Adviser Just Said Will Leave You Aghast

I suppose you can’t criticize them for not avoiding the truth because they know Maine’s Graham Platner has baggage, but wow—what an academic and detached way of putting it.

Platner is expected to be the Democrat trying to unseat incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins. There’s the Nazi tattoo, the training with groups similar to Antifa, and a range of disturbing Reddit posts that were reportedly homophobic, with some mocking PTSD. I’m sure you’ve read Amy’s wild post about Platner by now: the man admitted to using a network compromised by the Taliban for phone sex during his deployment in Afghanistan in 2010-11. And how does his political team explain this behavior? 

Well, he’s a real guy, and that’s what voters want.

“When real people run for office, that embodies the good parts of it. It also embodies the realities that people live real lives,” said top advisor Morris Katz on Katy Tur’s program on MS Now. 

Yeah, Katz man, more often than not, that’s led voters to reject the candidate you described. Also, the Democratic Party isn’t the working class party. It’s comprised of rich, smug, and overeducated white college kids.

Democrats Are Betraying Black Voters. Imagine What They’d Do To America.

Picture this: A political party that spent 10 straight years screaming it alone could save American democracy from destruction, now caught on record ready to carve up the voting power of its most steadfast supporters just to claw back control.

That party is today’s Democrats, and the evidence should send a chill through every Republican and clear-thinking independent ahead of these midterms.

For a full decade, Democrat leaders positioned themselves as democracy’s last line of defense against Donald J. Trump and anyone who dared support him. This narrative powered their 2018 U.S. House takeover, fueled Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign, sustained his presidency, and defined Kamala Harris’s 2024 effort.

Even after crushing defeats in 2024, they kept sounding the alarm about threats to institutions and norms. Their Virginia maneuvers and fresh polling data now expose that entire pose as pure fraud.

Late last year, Democrats in the Virginia Legislature rammed through a constitutional amendment on strict party-line votes during a chaotic special session. The goal was simple: scrap the existing bipartisan redistricting rules so they could redraw congressional maps whenever they wanted, outside the usual census schedule.

They pushed it through a second time in 2026. The new lines turned Virginia’s fairly even 6-5 congressional split into a grotesque 10-1 Democrat lock. Nearly half the commonwealth’s voters back Republicans, and they would get just nine percent of the seats. Meanwhile, Democrats, with a slim electoral edge, would seize 91 percent.

Democrats put the referendum before voters on March 6, the very first day of early voting, under the slick slogan of restoring fairness. Early ballots made up roughly 45 percent of the total. The measure squeaked by with a 3.38 percent margin. Flip just half those votes and it would have lost.

The Virginia Supreme Court saw the con for what it was.

On May 8, Justice D. Arthur Kelsey delivered a ruling that killed the entire scheme. Democrats had voted on the amendment on October 31, 2025, after early voting for the general election was already underway and more than 1.3 million ballots had been cast. That timing directly violated Article XII, Section 1 of the Virginia Constitution, which demands two separate legislative sessions separated by a full House election. The court correctly tossed the process. Virginia’s lawful 2021 maps stay in place.

MS NOW’s Sanders Townsend: Clyburn’s District ‘Looks Like It Was Gerrymandered’

On Tuesday’s broadcast of MS NOW’s “The Weeknight,” co-host Symone Sanders Townsend said that Rep. James Clyburn’s (D-SC) district “already looks like it was gerrymandered.”

While speaking with Clyburn, Sanders Townsend said, “Congressman, we have a map of the sixth congressional district that you currently represent, and we’re going to put it on the screen. Before the creation of this district, South Carolina had actually not elected a black representative to Congress for about 93 years, 1897, I believe. The district’s southern border touches Georgia. It goes around the center of Charleston. It cuts through Black Belt farmland to the state capital of Columbia. It contains the Gullah Geechee coastal homeland. The district is home to both of the state’s two historically black colleges — two of the state’s historically black colleges, and even some of the poorest people in the United States. That’s Barnwell County, Allendale County. It is rural. The district itself already looks like it was gerrymandered. I don’t understand how you represented people in Columbia and Charleston. So the way in which they are talking about eliminating this particular district and carving it up, I think it is, yes, about you, sir, but it’s also, specifically, about the voting power of black people to elect the representative of their choice.”

She then asked Clyburn about arguments from Republicans that he’s to the left of the state, which Clyburn answered by saying the state votes about 40% Democratic. Clyburn also stated that he gets votes from white voters as well.
