Democrats Hate Anyone Who Doesn’t Love Crime And Fraud As Much As They Do — Even Leftists

Democrats hate certain other Democrats and leftists about as much as they hate you, and their targets are quite revealing.

In Los Angeles, elected City Controller Kenneth Mejia has unearthed significant social services fraud and waste and is pushing to fund more investigators — without success — so he can dig deeper. Mejia is way left, a high-octane Bernie bro who ostensibly “left” the Democrat Party in 2024. He has at times identified with the Green Party, apparently because the Democrats were much too far to the right for him. But Mejia is also a certified public accountant and a true believer in leftist social intervention, and he takes it personally when people steal from government programs that are supposed to help the poor. Mejia’s investigators are the reason a homeless services contractor in Los Angeles is awaiting trial on a massive list of state and federal felony charges for fraud.

Mejia revealed earlier this week that real estate and private equity “executives” as well as multiple “billionaires” are “pouring money” into the 2026 controller’s race to “oust” him amid his reelection bid.

ICE Humilates Far-Left Boston Mayor Michelle Wu in EPIC Fashion After She Signs Executive Order Barring Agency from Conducting “Unconstitutional and Violent” Operations

ICE agents delivered a humiliating and richly deserved blow to Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s ego on Friday, one day after she tried to hamstring them for doing their jobs.

As WHDH reported, Wu signed an “An Executive Order To Protect Bostonians From Unconstitutional and Violent Federal Operations.”

Specifically, the order bans federal officials, including ICE, from using city property for immigration enforcement operations.

Wu’s office says the order is designed to “protect residents from illegal federal overreach, prioritizing de-escalation, and reaffirms that Boston will hold anyone accountable who commits violence, property damage, or any criminal conduct in the City, including federal officials.”

“The Order confirms that the Boston Police Department will investigate all crimes committed in Boston— including those committed by federal agents—and, if appropriate, we will make referrals to the City’s local law enforcement partners, the Suffolk County District Attorney and the Massachusetts Attorney General,” Wu said in a statement obtained by WHDH.

“Additionally, the Order bars federal immigration agents from using City buildings, parking lots, and parks for their operations, bars immigration enforcement in non-public City spaces, and reaffirms that the City’s public buildings, including schools, libraries, senior centers, and community centers are available to residents for designated purposes only,” she continued.

Wu explained during a press conference that her executive order was in response to the actions of federal immigration enforcement and the deaths of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

She also whined that ICE agents were wearing masks to safeguard their identities, refusing to identify themselves, racially profiling residents, and not using body cameras.

That Was Fast: In Less Than a Day, Kamala Harris Reverses Name of X Account After Widepread Mockery

In an attempt to appear “hip’ with younger generations by co-opting some of their lingo, on Thursday, the 2024 presidential election loser, Kamala Harris, rolled out a new name for her X account. The account was initially used during her failed campaign but was rebranded as headquarters67.

The next day, Harris, however, after being universally mocked, changed the name yet again.

With headquarters’67, Harris was trying to show how ‘cool’ and ‘hip’ she is by co-opting a Gen Alpha meme using ’67.’

The New York Post noted, “Alpha brainrot slang ’67’ that kids sometimes facetiously used when asked a question they’re too lazy to answer properly.

The effort fell flat.

Rather than buzz around the name change and what it might mean for Harris’s political future, it only reinforced how phony and performative she is.

Investigative reporter Chris Rufo noted, “My children have informed me that ’67’ is already old, tired, and cringe, so once again, Kamala is coming up short.”

Other X users reminded people that Harris admitted she really thinks about younger generations, “They are stupid.”

OF COURSE: Democrat Senator Jon Ossoff Opposes Voter ID But Requires ID to Get Into His Campaign Rally

Like the rest of his party, Senator Jon Ossoff of Georgia opposes the idea of voter ID, but you better have an ID if you’re planning to attend his campaign rally this weekend.

This is true of the Democrat National Convention as well. People have pointed out for years that you can’t get into the biggest Democrat party on the planet without a photo ID.

Somehow, this double standard is lost on every member of their party.

Sen. Ossoff to Require ID at Campaign Rally While He Fights ID Requirements to Vote

Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) insists on security when he interacts with the American public but not when Americans cast their ballots.

The Georgia senator is requiring government-issued identification for members of the public to attend his election rally Saturday while opposing similar requirements to cast a ballot in elections.

Ossoff has emerged as one of the strongest fighters against election security measures, not only opposing the SAVE Act to require government-issued identification verification to vote but even introducing legislation to enshrine into laws the right to vote without proving one’s identity. His bill, the misleadingly labeled Right to Vote Act, would make it harder for states to ensure election integrity by implementing voter ID.

“Jon Ossoff is about to vote against the SAVE Act, but is requiring a government-issued ID to get into his rally in Atlanta tomorrow,” a campaign account for Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA), a candidate in the Republican primary to take on Ossoff, posted Friday. “There should be more security in American elections than there is to listen to Jon Ossoff’s lies.”

At the bottom of this graphic, it clearly states that a valid photo ID is needed to get into the event.

Democrats involved in ‘illegal orders’ video say they won’t cooperate with DOJ probe

Two Democrats who participated in a video that urged members of the military and the intelligence community not to follow illegal orders are refusing to comply with an investigation by the Justice Department.

Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., said in a post Thursday that she sent a letter informing Attorney General Pam Bondi and the U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C., Jeanine Pirro, that she would not comply with the Justice Department’s inquiries or their request that she sit for an interview about the video.

Slotkin said the Trump administration is “purposely using physical and legal intimidation to get me to shut up.”

“But more importantly, they’re using that intimidation to deter others from speaking out against their administration. The intimidation is the point, and I’m not going to go along with that,” she said in her post.

Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, D-Pa., said in her own post Thursday that she would also refuse to comply with the Justice Department’s “request for me to submit to a voluntary interview” about the video.

“I will not be doing that,” Houlahan said. She continued, “What is happening now crosses a line when the power of the federal government is turned toward intimidating people.”

Six members of Congress, all of whom served in either the military or intelligence services, posted a 90-second video in November telling members of the military to refuse illegal orders, spurring a series of social media posts from President Donald Trump condemning the move.

Slotkin, Houlahan and Reps. Jason Crow, D-Colo., and Maggie Goodlander, D-N.H., all reported last month that federal prosecutors had contacted them about the video.

Asked about the lawmakers’ defiance of the Justice Department’s probe, Pirro’s office declined to comment.

The Justice Department has not yet responded to a request for comment.

Slotkin said her letter urged Bondi and Pirro “to retain their records on this case, in case I decide to sue for infringement of my constitutional rights.”

She said Thursday that Trump’s continued social media posts about the six lawmakers who posted the video led to “threats [that] went through the roof to myself, my family, my staff.”

It wasn’t too terribly long ago that the Left was demanding the widespread use of police body cams. They claimed, contrary to all evidence, that police were engaged in systemic racism and targeting Black Americans in law enforcement efforts, and that police intentionally shoot more Black suspects.

The Left was really hoping cameras would show rampant police brutality. Instead, the public got an eye-opening glimpse into the violence and danger police face on a daily basis. That’s why the narrative is shifting around body cams, with the Left now calling them “tools of propaganda” because they no longer support the Left’s narrative.

On February 2, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced ICE agents would be wearing body cams nationwide. Just two days later, New York Magazine dropped this story, attacking body cams once again.

The worst 40 minutes of April’s life are a hit on YouTube. The lengthy, humiliating clip has 195,000 views and more than a thousand comments, nearly all insults and jokes at April’s expense. It includes her full name, unobscured face, and clear voice. April can’t bring herself to watch it through, but she’s read every comment. She fantasizes, sometimes, about replying, letting everyone know that she’s no longer the person in that video. “This is April,” she would write, “and I’ve now been sober for three years.”

It happened during the pandemic, back when April’s addiction was at its worst. She was in her third year of college, and her small southern city was a sleepy place. Just about the only thing to do, she tells me, was drink. And so she drank. On the night in question, she got into a fight with her best friend: It was late, they were a few shots in, and things got heated. He stormed out, and she drove off to look for him. She was “completely tweaked.” She crashed into a parked car and was arrested on the spot. The video starts as the officer steps from his cruiser, clicking on his body camera. April looks frantic and disheveled. She protests that she’s sober and tries to talk her way out of things. That doesn’t work, and the video ends at the county jail. The commenters call her a “liar” and a “brat.”

April was sentenced to a year’s probation, and during that period, she changed a lot in her life. She took time off school and joined Alcoholics Anonymous. Her family supported her recovery, even attending her two-year celebration. Today, her life is markedly different. Three years clean, she’s finished her degree and now works as a schoolteacher. Her job is exhausting, but she has a sense of purpose: She’s fulfilling a lifelong ambition. She’s in a relationship, too, and she’s finally feeling a little more grounded.

God, I’ve always disliked this line from leftists trying to force me into their unhinged political camp: if you’re not white, you must be on their side. First, this revelation shocks me—I didn’t realize I wasn’t white. I also won’t get so angry at differing opinions that I risk fighting police and getting shot in the face.

I’m sure he knows he’s not white, you idiot. What does that matter, and why are you so obsessed with it? I mean, we know why, but you people truly are lower than scum. Also, please keep lecturing about the hardships of the black, Asian, and Hispanic communities. No one knows that better than white wine-guzzling white progressives, who are overeducated, wealthy, and the representation of privilege. Scathing Report Exposes Rashida Tlaib’s Alleged Connections to Terrorist Groups: ‘Serious Concerns’

A bombshell new report from ISGAP Action, a nonpartisan organization focused on combating antisemitism, is putting Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib (MI-12) in a glaring spotlight, accusing the congresswoman of maintaining a disturbing pattern of ties to individuals and organizations linked to U.S.-designated terrorist groups.

Groups such as Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

Go ahead and color me shocked. RedState readers, of course, will recognize Tlaib as a lawmaker nearly unmatched in her willingness to side with terrorist organizations in nearly every scenario.

The ISGAP briefing details everything, from her campaign shelling out nearly $600,000 to a consulting firm run by an activist with deep connections to terror-aligned networks, to sharing stages with convicted PFLP operatives who’ve praised violent resistance.

“Key areas of concern include her participation in conferences organized by or featuring individuals affiliated with U.S.-designated terror organizations,” they write. “For instance, Tlaib has shared the stage with Wisam Rafeedie, a convicted PFLP operative, and spoken at events where banners of Samidoun (a group designated as a terror proxy by the U.S. government) were prominently displayed.”

“Her comments at these events have included the glorification of ‘martyrs’ and calls for continued resistance, aligning her rhetoric with the ideological framework of jihadist organizations.”

The PFLP is well known for having claimed responsibility for the deadly bombing of a 17-year-old girl.

Model City: Portland’s Journey From Symbol of Chic to Shabby

In December, bestselling author and humorist David Sedaris wrote a New Yorker magazine essay about a recent trip to Portland, Oregon. While on a walk to a donut shop, he “lost count of the strung-out addicts I passed on my way” before eventually encountering four homeless people huddled around an empty baby carriage and smoking drugs right on the sidewalk. Moments later, a dog belonging to one of the addicts rushed out and bit him. 

Following the incident, Sedaris, a former methamphetamine addict himself, was struck by the fact that most people in Portland didn’t seem concerned about the state of the city – even the medical worker who treated him appeared more concerned with the dog’s well-being than what had happened to him: 

I mean, how hard should it be to get a little sympathy when an unleashed dog bites you? What if I were a baby? I wondered. Would people side with me then? What if I were ninety or blind or Nelson Mandela? Why is everyone so afraid of saying that drug addicts shouldn’t let their dogs bite people? Actually, I know why. We’re afraid we’ll be mistaken for Republicans, when, really, isn’t this something we should all be able to agree on? How did allowing dogs to bite people become a Democratic point of principle? Or is it just certain people’s dogs? If a German shepherd jumped, growling, out of one of those Tesla trucks that look like an origami project and its owner, wearing a MAGA hat, yelled, “Trumper, no!!!,” then would the people in my audience be aghast?

That one of America’s most progressive cities has become a laughingstock in one of the country’s more progressive magazines is a sign of Portland’s ongoing troubles. Like other big cities with major challenges, such as Chicago and San Francisco, Portland boasts many lovely areas and vibrant neighborhoods. But it is also defined by a range of pervasive problems – including crime, homelessness, drug addiction – that are less the consequences of modern society than self-inflicted wounds created by ineffective policies. If Portland stands out from other beleaguered cities, it is because its decline has been so swift.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass Accused of Altering LAFD Report on Wildfires to Lessen City’s Liability

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is accused of making changes to a report by the LAFD following last year’s wildfires because she allegedly wanted to lessen the city’s liability over their response to the disaster.

Bass and Governor Newsom have been widely criticized for how they handled the fires and for the lack of rebuilding a year after the blaze.

Naturally, Bass denies that she altered the LAFD report in any way.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is under fire this week after a Los Angeles Times report claiming she successfully altered in her favor a critical after-action report on the devastating southern California wildfires that killed 31 people.

While Bass has repeatedly denied that she interfered with the report, the Los Angeles Times reports, citing two sources, that Bass was concerned that the city could be exposed to legal liability for its lack of preparedness and removed or softened language implicating the city.

One of the key changes, according to the Los Angeles Times, was altering details about failures to fully staff and deploy resources leading up to the fire, an issue that has drawn intense scrutiny over the past year.

The report cites a “Bass confidant” who said “the mayor didn’t tell the truth when she said she had nothing to do with changing the report.”

Bass, who has also drawn criticism for flying to Africa for an event days before the fire broke out despite hazardous conditions in the forecast and warnings about fire risks, has denied the accuracy of the reporting.
