“We’re Done Discussing”: Biden Civil Rights Chair Clings to Power With Help From GOP Appointee

A Joe Biden appointee, with the help of fellow Democrat commissioners and one Republican-appointed commissioner, clung to power as chair of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, blocking a vote Friday on President Donald Trump’s designees to lead the commission.

In January, Trump designated two-decade veteran Republican commissioner Peter Kirsanow to be the new chairman of the Civil Rights Commission, replacing Rochelle Garza, who was appointed chair by Biden in 2023. Garza was the losing Democrat candidate for Texas attorney general in 2022.

The president also designated Commissioner Stephen Gilchrist to be the vice chair and named Carissa Mulder, a staffer for Kirsanow, to be the new staff director of the commission.

However, Garza has declined to step down as chair and didn’t allow a vote on a new chairman and vice chairman. While the president designates who among the commissioners he wants to lead the commission, the commissioners actually vote on the two positions.

The commission has eight members, split evenly among Republican and Democrat appointees. Four members are appointed by the president, two are appointed by the House, and two are appointed by the Senate. The commission was established in 1957 with the task of investigating and reporting on important civil rights issues.

At Friday’s meeting, Republican-appointed Commissioner J. Christian Adams moved to vote on all three Trump designees—Kirsanow, Gilchrist, and Mulder. He first moved to vote on Mulder.

“On Aug. 6, we received word that the president has nominated Carissa Mulder to be the staff director,” Adams said. “As everybody knows, there’s been a vacancy in this position all year long, since the inauguration.”

Garza cited procedural grounds to block Adams’ motion.

“We’re done discussing. I’ve already ruled the motion out of order,” Garza said. “The statute requires that the president request a concurrence from the commissioners, and our policies, our procedures, the statute requires a formal communication that indicates that.”

Adams responded that the White House did, in fact, notify the commission.

Vice Chair Victoria Nourse, also a Biden appointee, jumped in to say, “Everybody who’s on this commission knows it’s a first-year class that requires actual official notice, not just hearing through the grapevine.”

Adams, the president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation, took exception to the characterization, saying, “That isn’t what happened. Come on. There was a written notice.”

“If we want to pretend that we didn’t hear about it, let’s just keep pretending, and we’ll let consequences fall where we might,” Adams said.

Garza appeared to grow upset and replied, “That sounds very threatening.”

“It wasn’t a threat. It’s reality,” Adams said. “The president has designated a staff director. But you don’t even want to allow a vote.”

The three other Democrat appointees on the commission voted to support Garza’s ruling to not vote for Trump’s choice of Mulder for staff director. Gail Heriot—appointed to the commission by Senate Republican leadership—abstained.

Though appointed and reappointed by Republicans since 2007, Heriot is listed as an independent on the commission website.

Adams made another motion to add a vote for the chair and vice chair to the agenda. This time, Heriot went a step further and voted with Democrats to kill the motion.

And then you go back a bit and look at all the declassified documents released by Tulsi Gabbard and John Ratcliffe and Kash Patel that show the entire Russiagate hoax was quarterbacked by President Obama and Senator Hillary Clinton…

And then you just think about this whole rotten sequence — what you see is the collapse of the legal and Deep State forces against Mr. Trump.

In many ways, you could argue it’s the collapse of the Democratic Party.

Not only because the Deep State couldn’t bust Mr. Trump, and the forces of treachery and sedition couldn’t break Mr. Trump, and the prominent liars are themselves now facing criminal indictment, and making it all worse for that crowd — Mr. Trump himself was re-elected.

Which was the Obama-Clinton Deep State’s worst nightmare.

And as far as the Deep State goes, it appears that all of those people who participated in the Russian hoax and various other phony trials — well, they’re getting fired from their jobs. And they’re all lawyering up.

And on top of all that, here’s Mr. Trump running a vastly successful administration — in terms of economic policy, domestic policy, foreign policy, you name it.

Deep State Meltdown: Trump-Russia Hoaxer Joel Willett Whines on X After Tulsi Gabbard Revokes His Security Clearance

The Deep State is in full meltdown mode after Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard followed through on her promise to clean house and revoked the security clearances of 37 corrupt officials tied to the Trump–Russia hoax.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported Tulsi Gabbard stripped security clearances from 37 Deep State officials tied to the Trump-Russia hoax.

“Being entrusted with a security clearance is a privilege, not a right. Those in the Intelligence Community who betray their oath to the Constitution and put their own interests ahead of the interests of the American people have broken the sacred trust they promised to uphold. In doing so, they undermine our national security, the safety and security of the American people and the foundational principles of our democratic republic,” Tulsi said.

One of those names on the list? Joel Willett.

Joel Willett, a former Army and CIA officer who has now taken to social media crying about his “service” while smearing Tulsi and President Trump.

Willett is a veteran of the U.S. Army, with additional service in the U.S. Intelligence Community and at the National Security Council, where he served in the White House Situation Room.

Deep State Exposed: Biden Officials Implicated in Globalist Romanian Coup – File Reportedly on DNI Tulsi Gabbard’s Desk

A bombshell revelation is brewing in Washington. According to a high-level source inside the Trump administration, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is now reviewing a secret dossier on the December 6, 2024 coup d’état in Romania—one that points directly to former Biden regime officials.

The file reportedly names three top Biden operatives: disgraced Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, his assistant James O’Brien, and U.S. Ambassador to Bucharest Kathleen Kavalec. Their fingerprints, according to the source, are all over Romania’s election annulment.

In a scheme that looks eerily familiar, the Biden crew allegedly teamed up with Romanian insiders—including former Foreign Minister Luminita Odobescu, ex-Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, and former President Klaus Iohannis—to overturn Romania’s presidential vote under the tired pretext of “Russian interference.”

Sound familiar? It certainly ought. to. It’s the same playbook the globalist, anti-American establishment used against President Trump in 2016—copy, paste, repeat.

This week, former Romanian presidential candidate Călin Georgescu dropped a stunner while speaking outside the Bucharest District Police Department, where he’s forced to report weekly under judicial control.

He said, quote:

“As you have seen, the brave DNI Director Tulsi Gabbard has exposed all those who fabricated the file of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, where President Trump won fair and square. I guarantee that the file of the annulment of the elections in Romania is also on the table of the U.S. intelligence services, with clear perpetrators identified, former high-ranking officials from the Biden administration as well as their tools in Bucharest.”

Georgescu went further, blasting French President Emmanuel Macron’s meddling in Romania, promising he’ll be “sent packing with his tail between his legs.” Does he know more than he’s letting on?

The Trump administration has clearly taken notice. In May, the Department of Homeland Security revoked Romania’s entry into the Visa Waiver Program—a move Romania’s own foreign minister later admitted was punishment for the fraudulent annulment of its elections. T

What on earth is happening to this country? How, over the course of 250 years, did we go from prizing self-government to allowing a corrupt, self-serving ruling elite to dominate us with terror campaigns, brute force, and psychological warfare?

Don’t be fooled: the madness, mayhem and malice unfolding in America is not politics as usual. It’s not partisan hardball. It’s not bureaucratic overreach.

It’s theft in the gravest sense imaginable: the theft of our nation, the theft of our sovereignty as citizens, the theft of our constitutional republic.

This isn’t just corruption—it’s a betrayal of the very purpose for which governments are instituted. As John Locke warned, when those in power break the social contract by seizing rights they were appointed to protect, they no longer govern with the consent of the people—they rule by force, and the people are justified in resisting.

The Declaration of Independence echoed this principle: “When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government.”

What we face now is just such a train of abuses—systematic, strategic, and swift.

The government is seizing what does not belong to it: our voice, our rights, our power to choose and to resist. It is robbing us of the very tools of self-government—accountability, transparency, representation, free speech, bodily autonomy—and replacing them with coercion, propaganda, and force.

So when the White House threatens to withhold FEMA aid from states that won’t endorse its foreign policy? That’s theft.

When the president attacks the courts for calling out executive overreach? That’s theft.

When the media is muzzled, the police state expands, and new concentration camps rise? All of it—theft.

We are being robbed blind in broad daylight by the very individuals entrusted with safeguarding our rights and our republic.

Despite his assurances to the contrary, Donald Trump never had any intention of draining the swamp. He is the swamp.

Yet make no mistake: this didn’t start with Trump. The groundwork for this theft was laid long before—through successive administrations, both Republican and Democrat—that expanded executive power, hollowed out the Constitution, and normalized the rule of force over the rule of law.

What Trump has done is remove the mask, weaponize the tools of tyranny, and accelerate the dismantling of the republic in full view of the people.

Here are just a few of the many ways the Trump administration—no different than its predecessors in motive, yet far more brazen in execution—is stealing the birthright of the American people and cementing the transformation of the republic into a government of wolves.

‘Shadow Government’ Bureaucrats Exposed For Stoking Woke Insanity In Red States

A new report from the State Leadership Initiative (SLI), released Wednesday, is sounding the alarm on how conservative states are quietly adopting woke policies, driven by little-known national bureaucratic organizations.

The report, first reported by Fox News, details how a web of well-funded national associations, often posing as nonpartisan or professional groups, is behind this trend, pushing what SLI calls “shadow governance.” These groups set policy frameworks, control federal funding, and offer “best practices” that lean heavily into left-leaning priorities, according to Fox News.

Among the organizations exposed in the report are the National Association of State Treasurers (NAST), the National Association of Medicaid Directors (NAMD), and the National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE). SLI’s report examined 23 of the largest associations and found widespread embrace of DEI initiatives, transgender ideology policies, and ESG principles.

One example highlighted in the report points to NAMD’s push for equity over outcomes in Medicaid reform. In its 2021 Regulatory Priorities document, NAMD listed 11 “broad issues” for improving state Medicaid programs, with “advancing equity in Medicaid” as the top focus. The document reads, “Equity work should include a focus on racial and ethnic minorities, rural populations, Tribal populations, and any other groups experiencing disparate health outcomes, with an understanding that inequities are multidimensional and often fall across multiple population characteristics or categories. We also see discrete areas where focus would be beneficial, bearing in mind that the work to advance equity in Medicaid is holistic and branches across all issue domains.”

“Conservative leaders are fond of declaring victory,” the report reads. “They win elections, pass legislation, and appoint agency heads with great fanfare, yet, on issue after issue, the administrative state trudges forward in open defiance of their mandate: enforcing equity initiatives, embedding climate policy, and advancing bureaucratic priorities wholly alien to the voters who ostensibly elected the government. This disconnect is not incidental. It is structural.“

“The ideological left does not need to win a single statehouse so long as it controls the bureaucratic bloodstream,” the report added.

In a statement to Fox News, SLI founder and president Noah Wall said about the revelations that, “Every single one of these associations pushes DEI.” “It doesn’t matter how specific—whether it’s a fish and wildlife group or a treasury department—DEI is a core part of their programming.”

Wall demanded Republican governors to crack down on the quiet push for far-left policies and called for accountability.

Tulsi Gabbard Reveals Deep State Operative James Clapper’s Russia Hoax Wasn’t His First Intel Scam — He “Manufactured” the WMD Lie That Led to the Iraq War

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard accused former Obama DNI James Clapper of being a serial political manipulator, exposing that the Russia Collusion Hoax wasn’t his first rodeo in deception.

Gabbard unloaded on disgraced former DNI James Clapper during her appearance on the Pod Force One podcast with Miranda Devine of the New York Post.

Gabbard is accusing the longtime Deep State operator of not one, but TWO of the most catastrophic intelligence failures in modern American history, the phony Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) narrative that dragged the U.S. into a forever war in Iraq, AND the sham “Russia Collusion” hoax used to undermine President Donald Trump.

The “Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) narrative” refers to the false claims made by the U.S. government primarily under President George W. Bush and his administration that Saddam Hussein’s regime in Iraq possessed active WMD programs, including chemical, biological, and potentially nuclear weapons.

Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, CIA Director George Tenet, and National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice were central in pushing the WMD case.

Then-Secretary of State Colin Powell famously presented the WMD case before the United Nations in February 2003, using satellite photos and intercepts that later turned out to be deeply flawed or outright false.

At the time, Clapper was the Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), responsible for analyzing satellite imagery and other geospatial intelligence. The NGA’s assessments of potential Iraqi WMD sites contributed to the overall intelligence community’s conclusion that Iraq had such weapons.

Clapper later conceded that the intelligence community’s assessment was wrong, describing it as building “a house of cards” based on faulty assumptions that ultimately led to the conclusion that WMD were present when they weren’t. 

“My fingerprints are on the infamous national intelligence assessment of October 2002,” he said during a 2018 event promoting his book Facts and Fears at GW’s Jack Morton Auditorium.

“[The intelligence community] built a case in our own minds, a house of cards it turned out that led us to the conclusion with pretty high confidence that they were there, and it turns out they weren’t,” he added.

“It represented closure for the country and closure for the intelligence community and certainly personal closure. It was certainly a profound event, and I will never forget it,” he said.

Was the Death of Seth Rich a Hit by the Deep State?

“The truth is stranger than fiction” (as attributed to Mark Twain) 

Conspiracy theorists have long thought that Seth Rich’s death was an assassination facilitated by the Deep State — a Machiavellian hit by the Deep State to cover for its operation known as Russian Collusion because Rich could expose it as false from the beginning.  It was an actual “Spy vs. Spy” episode, straight out of Mad Magazine — except our side went full Stasi against the American people.  There were the DOJ, FBI, CIA, ODNI, and others in the Intelligence Community (I.C.), except NSA director Adm. Mike Rogers (See more).

With the bombshell release of documents (and here) by DNI director Tulsi Gabbard and more releases every day, Rich’s death at the hands of the Deep State is no longer a conspiracy theory.  I agree with Director Gabbard’s conclusion: Accountability and the rule of law must be restored.

Their goal was to subvert the will of the American people and enact what was essentially a years-long coup with the objective of trying to usurp the President from fulfilling the mandate bestowed upon him by the American people. …

Their egregious abuse of power and blatant rejection of our Constitution threatens the very foundation and integrity of our democratic republic.  No matter how powerful, every person involved in this conspiracy must be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, to ensure nothing like this ever happens again.  The American people’s faith and trust in our democratic republic and therefore the future of our nation depends on it.

Gabbard spoke at the regular White House press conference.  CNN cut away while Gabbard was speaking.  Why?  Fraud by omission on a significant news story of the day?  The legacy media are up to their usual spin.  Politico was less biased than the rest so far.  Politico does have a link to the documents.

The circumstances surrounding the death of Rich are well known to the American Thinker readers.  I will limit this piece to new information.  I did glean one thing from these releases that is significant to the death of Seth Rich, which I’ll explain soon.

METRO DC police quickly attributed Rich’s death to a street robbery gone bad.  Any Deep State involvement was swiftly dismissed as a fantasy of conspiracy theorists by the authorities and echoed by the legacy media. 

Attorney Ty Clevenger and I have made many attempts to bring information about Rich’s death to the congressional oversight committees.  The silence has been deafening.  I empathize with A.G. Pam Bondi and FBI director Kash Patel.  Especially since the DOJ, FBI, ODNI, and CIA are principals in this conspiracy — who destroy, withhold, hide, curate, and create evidence under the guise of classification, ongoing criminal investigations, or national security from the American people. 

The absence of information leads to speculation and conspiracy theories.  Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn (ret.), a victim of egregious lawfare by the Deep State, is beginning to wonder.  Gen. Flynn knew too much, as likely did Rich.  People have little awareness of what it takes to put together a good criminal case, let alone prosecute it, especially when the DOJ is in the tank.  People’s expectations often stem from fictional accounts in movies and TV, where everything typically happens within 60 to 90 minutes.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) joined Fox News to discuss the increasingly disturbing revelations coming out about the Deep State attacks against President Trump that have been underway from the time he announced his candidacy in 2015.

Barack Obama, James Comey, James Clapper, John Brennan, and every major mainstream media outlet lied for years to the American public by claiming “Russia hacked the election” to get President Trump elected in 2016. Further, their alleged source, Crowdstrike, NEVER had Evidence that the DNC was hacked or that Russia was involved.

They all knew this was a lie.

On Thursday, FBI Director Kash Patel called out the crooked Clinton campaign after the declassified Durham annex revealed Hillary personally approved the Trump-Russia hoax and said there is more to come.

Rep. Grace told Fox News’ Harris Faulkner that if you didn’t already believe in the deep state, after the new revelations, “you absolutely should” now.

Rep. Grace said, “If you didn’t believe in the deep state then, you absolutely should believe in the deep state now. This was a political hit job worth about $32 million from the top down in the White House all the way down, using agencies like the CIA, the FBI, and the DOJ to kneecap Donald Trump before an election. Maybe it didn’t manipulate votes.”

“However, the way that the mainstream media covered it as fact, the way that they blew President Trump up over this and smearred him, et cetera, that’s on their I hope that the DOJ will have real bona fide criminal referrals, indictments, and that people go to jail for this conspiracy.”

“It’s illegal, it’s criminal.”

“Thank God that Donald Trump had the courage and he had the strength of millions of Americans also across the country to support him as he fought back against all of the lies, against all of the hoaxes, and against the deep state who was trying to take him out.”

During an interview on OANN with former Rep. Matt Gaetz, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard accused the Obama Administration and its loyal media mouthpieces of orchestrating and perpetuating a “historic lie” to sabotage Donald Trump’s presidency before it even began.

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier this week, Gabbard’s second explosive document release contains indisputable evidence: Barack Obama not only knew the Russia Collusion narrative was bogus — he ordered it.

The so-called Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA), rushed out in January 2017, was a politically motivated hit job — a fabricated intelligence document, pushed by CIA Director John Brennan, and blessed by Obama himself — designed to frame Donald Trump as a Russian asset.

During a surprise appearance at Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s briefing, Gabbard called out the media to their faces:

TULSI: “I’m not asking you to take my word for it. I’m asking you in the media to conduct honest journalism — and for the American people to see for yourselves.”

But instead of owning up to their role in pushing Obama’s fake narrative, the so-called “mainstream” media scrambled to bury the truth.

CNN’s Response? PANIC. The network infamously known for breathlessly reporting the Steele dossier and pushing the Russia hoax cut the feed as Gabbard detailed Obama’s criminal involvement.
