American embassy worker killed while jogging in Ukraine

An American working at the US embassy in Ukraine was killed while jogging in Kiev in what the country is investigating as an “intentional murder”.

The woman, believed to be the wife of a US foreign service officer, died in hospital after being found unconscious from a head injury by railway tracks near the city’s Nyvky Park, according to Kiev Police.

The US Embassy in Kiev confirmed the death in an online statement, saying they were heartbroken to report the death of a member of the embassy community.

“Officials from US Embassy Kyiv are currently working with authorities to determine the circumstances of the death,” the statement said.

Official: Toilet display mocking mail-in voting is a crime

A Michigan resident’s apparent joke showing disdain for voting by mail is no laughing matter for one election official.

The resident put a toilet on their lawn with a sign that says, “Place mail in ballots here.”

Barb Byrum, the Democratic clerk of Ingham County, filed a complaint with police over the display, saying it could mislead people who aren’t familiar with the voting system.

“It is a felony to take illegal possession of an absentee ballot,” Byrum said Friday.

“Elections in this country are to be taken seriously and there are many people who are voting by mail for the first time this election,” she said.

Bigfoot Researcher in Alabama Arrested for Attempted Murder

In a troubling story out of Alabama, a Bigfoot researcher has been arrested for attempted murder after allegedly shooting at a sleeping man. The unsettling incident reportedly occurred earlier this month when, authorities say, Gwendolyn Michelle Jones “shot a Ruger LCP .380 handgun multiple times” at an unnamed individual while he was asleep in his bed. According to court records, “once the victim awoke, he witnessed Jones standing across the room holding the pistol. She then fired additional rounds while standing in the hallway.” Fortunately, it would appear that the man escaped the situation unscathed as Jones was subsequently arrested by police and charged with attempted murder, attempted first-degree domestic violence, and first-degree criminal trespassing.
