Lockdown Mongers Can Point Fingers, But The Science Is In: They’re To Blame

Anthony Fauci, leading leftists, and their malicious band of media mouthpieces have all been sticking their fingers in the dike of the lockdown strategy. But as the data blows holes in the idea of lockdown inerrancy and the science gushes out, the ruling class is getting swept up in the current of their own failures, flailing at their opponents in a desperate attempt to divert blame.

For more than a year, proponents and opponents of COVID-19 lockdowns have played tug of war over safety and freedom, with both camps declaring fealty to science despite opposite messages. Thanks to the ruling class who insisted shutting down would save lives, that became the conventional wisdom. Fauci, President Joe Biden, and their allies in the media called for nationwide lockdowns, with Biden condemning Trump for leaving the decision to states and Fauci saying this time last year, “I don’t understand why” a nationwide stay-at-home order isn’t happening.

As is so often the case, however, the conventional wisdom was wrong. A new study from Chicago University economist Casey Mulligan validates what the anti-lockdowners knew all along: Lockdowns are a bad idea. After workplaces implemented mitigation measures, they became far safer environments than people’s homes.

Rachel Maddow Says She Will Have to “Rewire” Her Brain to Not View Maskless as a “Threat”

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow reacted to the CDC’s announcement on face coverings by saying she would have to “rewire” her brain in order to not perceive those who don’t wear masks as a “threat.”

The CDC said yesterday that those who had been vaccinated could remove their masks in indoor settings (aside from a bunch of exemptions, including airports, public transport, hospitals and care homes).

This prompted Maddow’s brain to short circuit as she expressed the difficulty she would have in dispensing with the idea of treating those who don’t wear masks as dangerous lepers.

“I’m going to have to rewire my self so that when I see somebody out in the world who’s not wearing a mask, I don’t instantly think ‘you are a threat’ or you are selfish or you are a COVID denier and you definitely haven’t been vaccinated,” said Maddow.

How A Year Of Unfounded, Contradictory CDC Guidelines Destroyed That Agency’s Credibility Forever

No other government agency has accelerated its own demise in the last year faster than the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It’s stuffed to the brim with scientists and doctors and virologists, yet instead of rising to the occasion of a global pandemic, the bureaucracy shattered its reputation and credibility beyond repair.

As Americans slowly learned more about the novel virus and its risks over the course of the last year, they looked to the CDC for expert guidance. The agency responded by only confusing Americans, issuing guidance that not only contradicted their own previous guidelines but also the very thing they claim to represent: science.

FBI threatens up to 5 years prison time, fines for faking COVID-19 vaccine record cards

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is warning Americans that making or purchasing a fake COVID-19 vaccination record card is illegal and could be punishable by fines or imprisonment for up to five years, or both.

“If you did not receive the vaccine, do not buy fake vaccine cards, do not make your own vaccine cards, and do not fill-in blank vaccination record cards with false information,” the FBI’s public service announcement warned on Tuesday. “By misrepresenting yourself as vaccinated when entering schools, mass transit, workplaces, gyms, or places of worship, you put yourself and others around you at risk of contracting COVID-19.”

The bureau said that unauthorized use of agencies’ official seals, including the Health and Human Services Department and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is a crime punishable under Title 18 of United States Code, Section 1017, as well as other applicable laws.

The Seychelles is the most vaccinated nation on Earth. But Covid has surged

The Seychelles is causing concern for world health experts after a rise of Covid-19 cases among fully vaccinated individuals.

The World Health Organization said Tuesday that it would review coronavirus data from the Seychelles, an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, after the health ministry said more than a third of people who tested positive for Covid-19 in the week to May 8 had been fully vaccinated.

The Seychelles is viewed as having conducted a very successful vaccination rollout so far; it can boast having the highest share of people vaccinated against Covid-19 anywhere in the world, above Israel and the U.K.

DOCTORS ALARMED BY OUTBREAK OF “BLACK FUNGUS” THAT INFECTS PATIENTS’ BRAINS

India, already in the midst of a catastrophic wave of COVID-19 infections, is now facing a dual health crisis: dangerous “black fungus” infections developing in recovered patients’ brains.

Typically, mucormycosis is an extremely rare infection caused when mold takes root in a person’s brain, lungs, or sinuses, The BBC reports. A healthy person’s immune system can typically fend it off — the actual fungus is surprisingly common — but India is now seeing a surge of infections among COVID patients and survivors — and doctors are struggling to save patients from the disease and its horrifying 50 percent mortality rate.

“We are already seeing two to three cases a week here,” Renuka Bradoo, the head of the ear, nose, and throat wing at Mumbai’s Sion Hospital told the BBC. “It’s a nightmare inside a pandemic.”

The problem appears to be is that doctors are treating severe coronavirus patients with steroids, which are life-saving in the moment but weakens their immune systems after the fact. That’s especially the case among people with diabetes, who make up a large percentage of India’s mucormycosis patients.

Ohio Governor Lifts COVID Mandates; Uses Federal Funds for Million Dollar Lottery-Style Drawings for Vax Recipients

American COVID-19 concerns have led to recommendations and mandates that many believe have been and continue to be unsafe, invasive, extreme, ineffective, and unnecessary.  This includes “contract tracing” for school children and adults (see 12345).

Since COVID vaccines became readily available, the focus has shifted to pressuring Americans to “get the shot” despite increasing reports, testimonies, and warnings about side effects and deaths after receiving it.  Children’s Health Defense has been tirelessly updating their newsletter with incidents that are often being glazed over or sparsely reported at all.  Recent media coverage by Bill Maher and Tucker Carlson have also provided viewers with reasons to be hesitant about “rolling up their sleeves”.   Of course, American vaccine side effects, injuries and deaths have been happening for decades (see 123,).  That’s also why many remain hesitant.

But none of this has stopped the push to “take the shot” by businesses and elected officials.  Last month, Kentucky governor, Andy Beshear offered to lift additional mandates after 2.5 million residents were vaccinated.  Last night Ohio governor Mike DeWine announced that he is cancelling COVID mandates and using federal funds to set up a lottery for vax recipients.

CDC grossly exaggerating outdoor transmission rate: COVID-19 experts

The CDC is greatly exaggerating the risk of COVID-19 transmission outdoors, claiming there is a roughly 10 percent chance — when in reality the figure is less than 1 percent, a report said Tuesday.

The higher federal figure “seems to be a huge exaggeration,” Dr. Muge Cevik, a top infectious disease doctor at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, told the New York Times.

Dr. Aaron Richterman of the University of Pennsylvania added, “I’m sure it’s possible for transmission to occur outdoors in the right circumstances.

“But if we had to put a number on it, I would say much less than 1 percent.”
