CIA Director Ratcliffe Vows to Uncover COVID Origins, Combat Chinese Influence.

Newly confirmed Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director John Ratcliffe is launching a probe into what the United States intelligence community knew regarding the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, Radcliffe is directing investigators to review evidence held by the CIA and others that indicated the virus leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.

The CIA has faced scrutiny regarding its analysis of COVID-19’s origins. Allegations surfaced that agency analysts were influenced to dismiss the possibility of a lab leak. While the virus’s emergence in China is undisputed, the lab-origin theory has gained renewed attention.

Ratcliffe, who was sworn in after his confirmation on Thursday, also slammed his predecessor, John Brennan, for leading the agency astray during President Barack Obama’s tenure. “It would be fair to say his tenure was one of the worst things that has ever happened to the agency,” the new CIA director said.

Threats posed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) will also be a top priority under Ratcliffe. He highlighted, referencing conversations with President Donald Trump, the significance of understanding the origins of COVID-19, which he believes are linked to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Ratcliffe has committed to addressing this issue transparently and promptly.

Trump to Halt Gain-of-Function Viral Research Via Executive Order, Per Report

Of course, the big news comes with possibly an even bigger caveat: according to the WSJ’s source, bird flu might be exempt from the temporary ban, which would beg the question: why?

If the gain-of-function pause should apply to anything, it should be to the virus that the public health authorities have promised over and over and over would be the trigger for pandemic 2.0.

This is not a permanent ban, and ostensibly it does not apply to private-sector actors.

But let’s not look a gift horse in the mouth.

Via Wall Street Journal (emphasis added):

The Trump administration is preparing an executive order that would halt federal funding, at least temporarily, for a risky and controversial kind of research into viruses that makes the pathogens more dangerous or contagious.

The goal of the order would be to stop scientists with U.S. funding from conducting “gain-of-function” research on viruses that could endanger human health, people familiar with the plans said.

Some viruses, such as the H5N1 bird-flu pathogen, might be exempt from the order, one of the people said.

The order hasn’t been finalized, and its specifics are a work in progress, the person said.

*Some Republicans have blamed the Covid-19 pandemic on gain-of-function research. Defenders say it helps scientists assess the potential of pathogens to infect humans and find ways to combat them.

“Some Republicans” blame COVID-19 on gain-of-function research? How about various American spy agencies, the House Oversight Committee that did a two-year investigation into the issue, and “anyone with common sense”?

WHO Top Scientist Was ‘Primary Collaborator’ of Peter Daszak — the Researcher Under HHS Scrutiny for Coronavirus Experiments in Wuhan

Jeremy Farrar — chief scientific officer of the World Health Organization (WHO) and a central figure in efforts to suppress speculation about a possible lab origin of COVID-19 — collaborated on a viral discovery project in Southeast Asia involving Peter Daszak, a scientist at the center of that speculation, according to grant documents.

A 2010 National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant proposal describes Farrar as the “primary collaborator” in Vietnam of a controversial organization that has come under scrutiny for its work on novel coronaviruses with the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The organization was then called the Wildlife Trust, but would soon be renamed EcoHealth Alliance.

At the time of the 2010 grant proposal, Daszak was the president of the Wildlife Trust, while Farrar helmed the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where he had worked as a clinician since 1996.

The Oxford team was slated to ship its samples to a lab at Columbia University, not to Wuhan.

Still, the apparent connection between Farrar and Daszak — who faces possible debarment from U.S. tax dollars — could present a previously unknown conflict of interest on the pandemic origins question at the highest levels of the WHO.

Both Daszak and EcoHealth are under debarment proceedings by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for inadequate oversight of high-risk coronavirus research in Wuhan.

The revelation comes at a time of uncertainty about the future of the U.S. relationship with the WHO. The Financial Times reported that the incoming Trump administration could announce a withdrawal from the organization as early as day one. Farrar became the chief scientist at the WHO in May 2023.

A second WHO investigation into the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic — launched after Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said publicly that the first investigation’s findings, including that a lab origin was “extremely unlikely,” had been inadequate — has been delayed for years.

Reached for comment, WHO spokesperson Tarik Jasarevic did not respond to questions about the apparent Farrar-Daszak partnership.

On the future of the U.S. relationship with the WHO, Jasarevic pointed to comments Tedros made in early December 2024 stating that “I think it would be good to give them some space for the transition and I hope, I believe they will do the right thing.”

On the second phase investigation, Jasarevic said that the group of global scientists charged with the report, the Scientific Advisory Group for the Origins of Novel Pathogens, “is currently working on an independent assessment of the origins of SARS-CoV-2 … We don’t know when it will be completed.”

Farrar and Daszak did not respond to emailed questions.

HHS Cuts Federal Funding to EcoHealth Alliance, ‘Nonprofit’ That Bankrolled Wuhan Lab

Ahead of Trump taking office, it looks as if the Department of Health and Human Services might be in a little bit of a burn-the-records-and-clean-house-before-the-SHTF mode, if for no other purpose than to give the appearance, at the eleventh hour, that it takes its fiduciary responsibilities seriously — which, of course, it doesn’t, and hasn’t for a very long time, including the last four years under the Biden regime.

Peter Daszak, COVID arch-villain and close confidant of Anthony Fauci, through whom Fauci funded government cash to the Wuhan lab that almost certainly sparked the global pandemic, is now officially cut off from receiving federal funds for at least five years, as well as EcoHealth Alliance, his “nonprofit.”

Via House Oversight Committee (emphasis added):

Today, after an eight-month investigation, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) cut off all funding and formally debarred EcoHealth Alliance Inc. (EcoHealth) and its former President, Dr. Peter Daszak, for five years based on evidence uncovered by the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. In a new letter, HHS states “that a period of debarment for Dr. Daszak is necessary to protect the Federal Government’s business interests.” This letter also confirms that EcoHealth terminated Dr. Daszak’s employment effective January 6, 2024. EcoHealth and Dr. Daszak facilitated gain-of-function research in Wuhan, China without proper oversight and willingly violated multiple requirements of its multimillion-dollar National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant.

US Lawmakers Call For Curbs On Clinical Trial Collaborations Linked To Chinese Military

A bipartisan group of lawmakers has asked the U.S. government to consider new rules restricting U.S. biotech companies from conducting clinical trials with entities linked to the Chinese military.

In a Jan. 9 letter to Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party said the proposed restrictions will “help ensure U.S. biotechnology does not fall into the hands of the PRC,” referring to the acronym of communist China’s official name, the People’s Republic of China.

The letter, signed by Reps. John Moolenaar (R-Mich.) and Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Ill.), chair and ranking member of the committee, respectively, along with Rep. Neal Dunn (R-Fla.), said biotech competition between the United States and the PRC “will not only have implications for our national and economic security, but also for the future of healthcare and the security of American medical data.”

The letter cites Beijing’s 14th Five-Year Plan—which “identifies dominance in biotechnology as critical to ’strengthen the PRC’s science and technological power’ and calls to deepen military-civil science and technology collaboration in the sector”—and a publication by a former president of the Chinese military’s National Defense University, which discussed the potential to create new synthetic pathogens that are “more toxic, more contagious, and more resistant.”

The lawmakers praised the proposals issued by the Bureau of Industry and Security in July 2024 to expand export controls to military and intelligence end users as “a welcome update.” They suggested the measures could be further strengthened by requiring a license to conduct clinical trials with medical institutions linked to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

Specifically, we recommend updating the definition of ‘Military End User’ to state medical infrastructure owned or operated by the national armed services of the PRC and other countries as appropriate constitutes a military end-use if a U.S. person is seeking to engage with the institution to conduct a clinical trial,” they added.

The Epoch Times reached out to the Commerce Department for comment and did not receive a response by publication time.

The letter is a sign of growing concern over China’s role in the biotechnology industry.

In August 2024, the same committee wrote to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), asking the agency to ensure that U.S. clinical trials are not contributing to human rights abuses in China’s Xinjiang region or aiding the transfer of U.S. critical intellectual property to the PLA.

Citing official data, the letter said U.S. biopharmaceutical companies over the past decade had run hundreds of clinical trials that had at least one Chinese military entity among the research partners and conducted trials in hospitals in Xinjiang, “where the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is engaged in genocide of the Uyghur population.”

Bioterror Roundup: Biden’s $300 Million Bird Flu Bonanza and SV40 News

Biden awards hundreds of millions for bird flu tests, ‘research into potential medical countermeasures’

Lady Dr. Jill (not a real doctor) or Antony Blinken or some disembodied Oz-type voice on the White House intercom system or whoever runs the shitshow over there has heard the pleas from CCP bioterrorist Leana Wen to ramp up the PCR fraud in the runup to the full-on Pandemic 2.0, which I covered a few days ago, and acquiesced using other people’s money (or more accurately, money that doesn’t actually exist, tacked onto the bloated deficit).

Via U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) (emphasis added):

Today, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced it would award $306 million dollars to continue its H5N1 Avian Flu response. While CDC’s assessment of the risk of avian influenza to the general public remains low, USDA and HHS continue to closely collaborate with Federal, State, local, industry and other stakeholders to protect human health, animal health, and food safety…

CDC will award approximately $111 million in funding for additional enhancements to our ability to monitor H5N1 at the local, state and national levels:

$103 million to jurisdictions for increased monitoring of individuals exposed to infected animals, testing, and outreach to high-risk populations (such as livestock workers)

$8 million to manufacture, store, and distribute additional influenza diagnostic test kits for virologic surveillance

NIH will award approximately $11 million in funding for additional research into potential medical countermeasures for H5N1:

$11 million to the Centers for Excellence for Influenza Research and Response contracts”

What an amazing display of sadomasochism that we all just take for granted: the government conjures money out of thin air in the People’s name, hands it over to bloodthirsty technocrats, and in so doing sows the seeds of the techno-slaves future abuse that they themselves financed in the name of protecting them from a virus that the government created in the first place, also using made-up money that doesn’t exist and that will eventually trigger a meltdown, which will then be used just like bird flul to further subjugate them and strip them of whatever meager freedoms they might have left so AI can tell them when they have enough credits to take a Tesla taxi to visit their domestic terrorist grandmother in a bird flu concentration camp.

For Democracy™.

Mysterious fog sweeping US sparks bioweapon fears amid alarming echoes of secret 1950 military program

A thick, ‘mysterious’ fog has descended upon a wide swath of the US, sparking fears of another ‘Operation Sea Spray.’

For one week in September of 1950, the US Navy sprayed massive amounts of bacteria into the air two miles off the coast of San Francisco, California.

The aim of this secret biological warfare experiment was to learn how vulnerable large US cities like San Francisco would be to a biowarfare attack by terrorists.

The bacteria used were Serratia marcescens, which can cause respiratory issues and meningitis, and Bacillus atrophaeus that can be lethal immunocompromised individuals.  At the time, the Navy believed these bacteria were harmless to humans.

But when Bay Area residents began rushing to the hospital, it became clear that was not the case.

After inhaling thousands of bacterial spores, 11 people checked into Stanford Hospital near San Francisco with very rare, serious urinary tract infections that doctors ultimately determined were caused by the experiment.

One patient, a man named Edward Nevin who was recovering from prostate surgery at the time, died.

Now, 75 years later, some Americans fear this may be happening again as they claim an ‘unnatural’ fog with a ‘burning chemical-like smell’ has plagued their communities in recent weeks.

A Succinct History of The US Bioweapons Program

The United States didn’t have a bioweapons program after World War II, but certain Deep State actors really, really wanted one. So what did they do? They recruited German and Japanese scientists from both countries which had quite an extensive bioweapons program. It was called Operation Paperclip.

Now, before you utter the words “conspiracy theory”, please know that RFK Jr. just mentioned Operation Paperclip in a recent speech. He certainly did. Because it’s real. You can watch the full clip here.

Who recruited these evil scientists? The CIA of course, placing them as the heads of research labs, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies. RFK Jr. then proceeds to tell us about the experiments they did on the unwitting American people. They sprayed toxins everywhere, from airports to the Pentagon air conditioning system, just to see what happened. They poisoned the water at NIH. They filled light bulbs with bacteria and placed them in the New York City subway system. When the bulbs broke, which they inevitably did, harmful microbes filled the space. RFK Jr. says some of the microbes are still there today. He says that 200 aerial dosing tests were done in seaside cities as well as Midwestern cities.

We’ve all heard of German and Japanese ingenuity and efficiency, and by 1969, the US had a bioweapons program that RFK Jr. describes as “equivalent to a nuclear program.” The scientists even bragged at how cost effective their program was, saying that they could kill at a cost of 29 cents per person.

Former State Department Official David Asher: Americans “Will Soon Learn” COVID Origins Truth

Revelations that senior US intelligence officials in the early days of the virus pandemic suppressed research indicating a Chinese lab leak as the origin of Covid-19 surfaced in a new Wall Street Journal report titled Behind Closed Doors: The Spy-World Scientists Who Argued Covid Was a Lab Leak” late this week.

The investigation by WSJ’s Michael Gordon and Warren Strobel shows the disagreements within the intelligence community over Covid origins…

But an investigation by The Wall Street Journal shows that the disagreements among intelligence experts over what should be included in the report ran deeper than is publicly known. Nor were the FBI scientists the only ones who believed that the intelligence directorate’s review didn’t tell the whole story.

Three scientists at the National Center for Medical Intelligence, part of the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency, conducted a scientific study that concluded that Covid-19 was manipulated in a laboratory in a risky research effort. But that analysis was at odds with the assessment of their parent agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and wasn’t incorporated in the report presented to Biden. -WSJ

Specifically, who decided to exclude input from the Defense Department and the FBI—the only agency to conclude with “moderate confidence” that a lab leak was the likely origin—from the August 2021 briefing to President Biden and the subsequent official federal conclusion that Covid most likely originated naturally?

David Asher, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute and former head of State Department investigations into Covid origins, joined Vince Coglianese, host of WMAL’s “The Vince Coglianese Show,” on Friday evening to discuss the cover-up of Covid’s origins during the Biden administration.

FBI Scientist Claims Biden Regime Silenced Lab Leak Evidence Linking COVID-19 to Wuhan Facility

In a shocking revelation, former FBI senior scientist Dr. Jason Bannan has claimed that the Biden administration deliberately sidelined critical evidence linking the origins of COVID-19 to a lab leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Despite years of denial and censorship from government agencies, Big Tech, and mainstream media, the lab-leak theory—once dismissed as a conspiracy—has gained substantial traction, now supported by findings from the FBI and other experts.

Since the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic, government officials and medical institutions have fervently dismissed the lab-leak hypothesis, labeling it a “conspiracy theory.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and Dr. Anthony Fauci have repeatedly downplayed the possibility of a lab leak, insisting instead that the virus was transmitted from animals to humans.

Meanwhile, Big Tech and mainstream media giants have censored discussions on the topic, banning and discrediting voices that dared to question the official narrative.

Earlier this month, the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic concluded its two-year investigation into the COVID-19 crisis, unveiling its final report titled “After Action Review of the COVID-19 Pandemic: Lessons Learned and a Path Forward.”
