Far Left NJ Rep. and Democrat Nominee for Governer Mikie Sherrill Smears Charlie Kirk as “Christian Nationalist” Who Wanted to “Roll Back” Rights for Women and Minorities

On Friday, the House of Representatives adopted a resolution to honor the “life and legacy” of Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated last week while speaking on a college campus in Utah.

H.Res. 719, titled “Honoring the life and legacy of Charles ‘Charlie’ James Kirk,” was introduced by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on September 16, 2025, and co-sponsored by 165 House Republicans. No Democrats co-sponsored the resolution.  The measure condemns Kirk’s assassination and praises him as a “courageous American patriot” who championed free speech and constitutional principles, and calls for unity against political violence.

While the measure got bipartisan support,  58 Democrats voted against the resolution.

Fox News reports that the resolution passed 310-58 with 95 Democrats voting yay,  58 voting nay,  22 not voting at all and 38 voting “present.”

Far-left Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ), who is also the Democrat nominee for governor, smeared Kirk following the resolution, claiming Kirk was a “Christian nationalist” who wanted to roll back rights for women and minorities.

Per Fox News:

“I take my oath to the Constitution seriously. I believe in free speech and that the First Amendment wouldn’t be necessary if it were only meant to cover language we agreed with,” Sherrill said in a statement.

“It is meant to protect people like Charlie Kirk who present vile dissenting views. But it is also meant to protect teachers, doctors and TV comedians who may express views the president doesn’t like.

“Charlie Kirk was advocating for a Christian nationalist government and to roll back the rights of women and Black people. This flies in the face of every value I hold dear and that I fight for,” she added. “But the Constitution protects free speech, even for those I vehemently oppose.”

Her ridiculous claims received pushback on social media.

Hillary Clinton on Kimmel, Kirk: ‘Very Clear Example of Using the Power of the State to Suppress Speech’

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Friday weighed in on the fallout surrounding Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension, addressing both the late-night host’s removal and the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk during an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria.

When asked if Kimmel’s suspension amounted to state censorship, Clinton replied: “Well, I think this is a very clear example of using the power of the state to suppress speech. It is a direct government action to try to intimidate employers, organizations, corporations, much of which we’ve already seen, to remove an opponent, even though it’s a comic.”

Clinton continued:

Look, I had no idea when I was in public life and listening to the jokes that were made about me and the attacks that were, you know, coming from people like Jimmy Kimmel and others that I could have called up the head of the FCC and said, take them off the air. I don’t like what they’re saying. I mean, of course, this was a particularly sensitive time because of the terrible crime that was committed, the murder of Mr. Kirk.

But you know, you defend free speech in terrible times, and you defend free speech that is used against holding people in power accountable through satire, humor, barbed attacks, you defend it even when it is offensive, and they have unfortunately taken the view that we believe in free speech, as long as we’re making the speech and your speech agrees with us, otherwise, we’re against free speech.

Clinton later amplified the remarks on X, posting: “In America, we defend free speech in terrible times. We defend free speech even when it’s offensive. We defend free speech.” She restricted comments on that post as well as one she made one week after Kirk’s assassination congratulating American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten on her book Why Fascists Fear Teachers.

Weingarten’s excerpts, published in Rolling Stone days after Kirk’s assassination, accused conservatives of being “fascists” and “Nazis,” likened book bans to Nazi Germany in 1933, and warned that Trump and Elon Musk were acting as “shadow governing partners.” The release drew attention because Robinson, the 22-year-old suspect charged with Kirk’s murder, inscribed “Hey fascist! Catch!” on bullet casings, according to authorities.

Teachers across several states were investigated or fired after posting celebratory or hostile messages about Kirk’s assassination, with examples including posts such as “America became greater” and “1 Nazi down.” A new website, charliesmurderers.com, reported receiving thousands of submissions documenting celebrations of Kirk’s death.

Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) said such rhetoric reflects a dangerous climate created by years of partisan demonization. “And now, Charlie Kirk has been murdered,” Hunt told Breitbart News. “This is not rhetoric. These are lived realities.” He asserted that Democrats and their allies “have vilified, censored, and targeted conservatives at every turn for over a decade,” adding that political violence against conservatives is now “normalized by silence, excuse-making, or even tacit encouragement from the left.”

Clinton herself previously described Republicans as her “enemies” during a 2015 Democrat debate. Asked which adversary she was most proud of making in her political career, Clinton responded, “Well, in addition to the NRA, the health insurance companies, the drug companies, the Iranians; probably the Republicans.”

The dispute surrounding Kimmel began after he mocked Trump’s mourning of Kirk’s assassination, joking it was “like how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish,” and suggested Robinson may have been part of the “MAGA gang.” Authorities later identified Robinson as the suspect, describing him as left-leaning and in a relationship with a male who identifies as female and who “hates conservatives and Christians.” Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed those details, and investigators stated Robinson admitted responsibility in a message to the partner.

Federal Communications Commission chair Brendan Carr cautioned ABC and Disney that broadcasters risk their licenses if they mislead the public, saying Nexstar Media Group did “the right thing” by suspending Kimmel. Sinclair Broadcasting also halted broadcasts of Jimmy Kimmel Live and announced a special tribute to Kirk would air in its place. ABC affiliates cited the need to uphold community values and maintain constructive dialogue. Carr noted that networks could “do this the easy way or the hard way,” signaling further review of their obligations under federal law.

The “Charlie Kirk Act”, Free Speech, Propaganda, And A Censorship Nightmare

As of the date of this writing, September 17th, 2025, it is Constitution Day. Despite this, in 2025 America, the Constitution is being eroded more than ever before. Just read any of constitutional attorney and founder of The Rutherford Institute, John W. Whitehead’s essays on the matter.

The infringements are endless, with masked agents running amok, disappearing people off the streets, extrajudicial executions at sea, military deployed domestically as law enforcement, unconstitutional wars waged, illegal mass surveillance on every American, warrantless search and seizure, debt-based Fiat currency, and so much more.

This isn’t happening in a vacuum. The only way for Americans to sit by and allow their freedoms to die at such a magnitude is to keep them perpetually distracted and apathetic. This is why 5th-generation warfare comes in so handy for the ruling class. Keep the entire population besieged from all sides at all times, economically, biologically, informationally, neurologically, so utterly saturated, so deep in the trenches, they don’t even realize they’re in a war.

When the average tax cattle are so exhausted from capitalist exploitation just to meet the bear standards for survival, so psychologically fatigued from the constant influx of doom porn, and the various other ways that the rat race is designed to keep us exhausted and unfulfilled while being simultaneously bombarded with socially engineered algorithms feeding into echo chambers it’s easy to keep the masses focused on manufactured outrage and fake culture wars, or shallow celebrity gossiping and rigged sports-ball entertainment. Blissfully unaware or uncaring of how their rights are being stripped away every day

The most fundamental of these freedoms is guaranteed to us in the 1st amendment — freedom of speech, freedom of expression, among others. That simple principle is the litmus test of a free society: Can you speak your mind freely without reprisal from the state? For believers in America’s founding ideals, the answer should be a resounding yes. And yet politicians and citizens alike oftentimes seem all too keen on allowing their principles to be pulled by puppet strings, ethically ambiguous and logically inconsistent.

Last week’s heinous murder of controversial conservative pundit Charlie Kirk has brought these issues to the forefront of our current discourse. Kirk based his entire brand on exercising the First Amendment, engaging in public debates with individuals whose ideological position opposed his own until he was ultimately gunned down last week.

Already, there are numerous discrepancies in the official story of the assassination, and much in line with the old adage of not letting a good crisis go to waste, the usual suspects have wasted no time in exploiting his death to ramp up the divide and conquer rhetoric. On the heels of attempting to make him a martyr, many on the right who previously grandstanded for free speech are now openly demanding the erasure of the rights that Charlie himself embodied.

But let’s not mince words here and call a spade a spade; none of this being said is to put him on a pedestal. Charlie Kirk was a professional liar, a propagandist of the highest degree who promulgated blatantly false, oftentimes bigoted, authoritarian rhetoric. He built a career off of perpetuating the fake left versus right dichotomy, exploiting the base he cultivated by inflaming the fears, anger, hatred, sadness, and anxieties of conservatives. While this was probably not Kirk’s intention, as he himself was likely just as much a victim of government propaganda that ultimately fomented his views, it was most definitely the result. Yet despite all of this, anyone who claims to actually support free speech should still support his right to express his ideas, no matter how much one may disagree with them.

Ohio School Board to Debate Whether Two Teachers Who Mocked Charlie Kirk’s Death Should Be Fired

The Miamisburg school board in Ohio is meeting on Thursday night to debate whether two teachers should remain employed after appearing to mock Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who was horrifically assassinated at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.

Band teacher Steve Aylward allegedly posted a comment on his Facebook page about 31-year-old Kirk’s death, appearing to suggest he called for his own assassination, and social studies teacher Rachel O’Connor was caught on video allegedly telling students Kirk was a “terrible person.” A video of her comments subsequently went viral on social media, WDTN reported

Petitions have reportedly been made, both for and against the educators continuing to hold state-funded positions of influence over young minds.

Parent and Miamisburg alum Tony Huey, who had O’Connor as a teacher, created an online petition calling for the teachers to be terminated. He told the local outlet that her remarks about Kirk “isn’t something that shocks me coming from her.” He said many parents like him do not want teachers who make derisive comments about a man who was publicly assassinated influencing their children. He said he hopes the school board makes the right call.

“If they don’t, this is definitely something, you know, I’m going to take further,” he said. “Maybe the next Miamisburg City Council meeting that they have and even further than that if we need to.”

The Miamisburg school board will meet Thursday night at 6 p.m. The public will be given a chance to speak at the end of the meeting.

‘Trump next please’: Democrats on Bluesky call for MORE political violence

If you used the Bluesky app in the past couple of days, it would be hard not to notice just how bloodthirsty the Democratic Party has become — especially in the wake of the assassination of the right’s beloved Charlie Kirk.

One trend on the social media app has taken BlazeTV hosts Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson by surprise.

“There are a ton of crazies over there,” Savage says on “Blaze News: The Mandate.” “I am not on there, but they are basically saying, ‘Who’s next for all of this?’”

Leftists have been posting who they hope falls victim to the same fate as Charlie Kirk.

The most repeated names on this list include President Trump, J.K. Rowling, Joe Rogan, Matt Walsh, Ben Shapiro, Libs of TikTok, and Elon Musk.

“Charlie Kirk is dead (and has been for a few hours), Trump next please,” one user wrote on the left’s version of X.

“Unfortunately, this is what we will have to continue to deal with,” Savage says.

Blaze Media D.C. correspondent Christopher Bedford is also completely disturbed.

“The threats are real. The copycats are going to happen,” Bedford says.

“This really is a point where we can decide that we’re going to get better, or we can decide that we’re going to get much worse, much more quickly. And it’s going to take a serious turn by society, a serious rejection by the American left, by the universities — not just these businesses and these sports teams, but by the university system — of this kind of crap in order for this to actually have any kind of impact,” he explains.

“There needs to be significantly more accountability than there is right now. And funds need to be taken,” he continues. “And all these nonprofits that for the last five years have spent time funneling money towards bail funds for rioters, towards printing T-shirts that have guns on them with the trans flag that says ‘defend it’ … these people who fund groups that are professional agitators — well, those funds need to be ceased, and those boards of directors need to be investigated. These are crimes.”

Man Arrested for Allegedly Plotting to Murder Republican New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte With Pipe Bombs

A 22 year-old man was arrested this week for allegedly plotting to kill New Hampshire’s Republican Governor Kelly Ayotte with pipe bombs.

The suspect, who is apparently not very smart, shared his plans with people on the internet and even with his female roommate, who spoke to police, telling them that he showed her the materials he planned to use for the explosive device or devices.

It’s amazing that this transpired just a week after the assassination of Charlie Kirk. It shows that there are many people on the left who have no intention of slowing down the political violence.

Townhall reports:

New Hampshire Gov. Ayotte Targeted in Alleged Pipe Bomb Plot by 22-Year-Old

A 22-year-old has been arrested after he allegedly threatened to murder New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte using homemade pipe bombs.

Independent reporter Breanna Morello posted on X: “Investigators say Tristan Anderson boasted about his plans to his roommate on Snapchat, displaying the materials he planned to use.

Anderson allegedly posted anti-Semitic messages about an “Israel Deep State” before targeting Catholic Governor Kelly Ayotte with threats.

His social media included violent posts, like threatening to “kill” New Hampshire committee members he believed misrepresented residents.

His roommate reported to police that Anderson owned guns and showed her fireworks, metal tubes, and bags of nuts and bolts, which he allegedly planned to use to make pipe bombs.

Anderson allegedly texted a threat, media reported.

“I’m going to target the NH Mayor Kelly ayott,” the message reads. “With my weapon of mass destruction.”

This person has now ruined his life. Was it worth it?

Pentagon denies report that military will use Charlie Kirk killing to recruit ‘generation of warriors’

The Pentagon is denying a report from NBC that claimed military leaders are considering launching a recruitment campaign tied to the legacy of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

The NBC article, published on Thursday, alleged that top Pentagon officials were weighing a new initiative to frame Kirk’s assassination as a ‘national call to service,’ with slogans such as ‘Charlie has awakened a generation of warriors.’

The report cited two anonymous officials who said Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness Anthony Tata was leading the effort, and that chapters of Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA, could be used as recruitment hubs.

Pentagon press secretary Kingsley Wilson has since firmly rejected the claims in a statement to Fox News Digital, calling the NBC report ‘100% wrong’ and accusing the outlet of publishing misinformation based on anonymous sources.

‘This is not happening, yet Fake News NBC published this report as if it were true using anonymous sources with no knowledge of what the recruitment task force at DOW is working on,’ Wilson added.

The Pentagon also released the original statement it had provided to NBC prior to publication.

MTG Expertly Smacks Down Jasmine Crockett After the Disgraced Congresswoman Echoes Jimmy Kimmel and Claims that Charlie Kirk’s Assassin is a MAGA Republican

Disgraced Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) got a much-deserved mackdown after not learning from Jimmy Kimmel after he lost his ABC show for defamatory comments regarding the Charlie Kirk assassination.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the left-wing Kimmel told his late-night audience on Monday that a MAGA REPUBLICAN murdered Kirk and accused the right of trying to score political points off of it.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel claimed.

After his comments, Nexstar announced that all 32 of its ABC broadcast affiliates will preempt “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” indefinitely, blasting Kimmel’s sick comments about Kirk’s murder as “offensive and insensitive.”

However, Crockett decided to echo Kimmel during a congressional hearing on Thursday and claim Robinson was all MAGA. To back up her lie, she cited an article from far-left Yahoo.

But Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) would not let Crockett off the hook and schooled her with some basic facts. She pointed out not just the fact that it has been proven Robinson was a radical leftist, but the assassin had a transgender lover who called himself a furry.

MTG next pointed out that the type of language and lies utilized by Crockett contributed to not just Kirk’s assassination, but also the near-assassination of President Trump and the 2017 Congressional Baseball shooting, where Rep. Steve Scalise was nearly killed.

MTG went to warn Crockett that these types of lies will no longer be tolerated.

Louisiana law professor suspended over Charlie Kirk post: ‘I will 1000% wish death on people like him’

Southern University has suspended and is investigating law Professor Kelly Carmena over her celebration of political activist Charlie Kirk’s murder.

Shortly after Kirk’s death, Carmena made a Facebook post stating: “I will 1000% wish death on people like him. He is the epitome of evil, and I have no compassion, not even a minute ounce of it for people like him who go around spewing hate the way he does.”

Her Facebook profile says “protect trans kids” and “show love.”

Carmena did not respond to requests for comment from The Fix.

University Board Chairman Tony Clayton told news outlets that Carmena spread speech that “is tantamount to participating and inciting violence.”

“Distasteful statements should not be tolerated particularly as it relates to death,” Clayton said. “That is tantamount to participating and inciting violence and spewing hate.”

Southern University is located in Baton Rouge. Its director of communications, I’Tyonnie Jackson, sent The Fix a statement saying the “Law Center is aware of a recent social media post involving one of our employees that has raised concern.”

“The views expressed in that post are the individual’s own and do not reflect the values or positions of the Law Center. We are reviewing this matter in accordance with the institution’s personnel policies and procedures. The Law Center is committed to fostering an environment of respect, inclusivity, and professionalism both online and offline.”

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill told reporters the “comments posted by this individual were abhorrent.”

“Whatever your opinion is of Charlie, his assassination marked a dark day for all Americans and should be resoundingly condemned,” she said. “This individual has a constitutional right to have opinions and social media amplifies them. But she does not have a right to teach at a public law school.”

Murill also condemned similar celebrations of Kirk’s murder, calling for “consequences.”

House members to get $10k a month for personal security after Charlie Kirk assassination

ouse members will get $10,000 a month for personal security after the assassination of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk, the chamber’s leaders announced.

The effort follows the assassination last week of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk.

On Wednesday, House leadership made the decision to double the monthly total currently available to legislators in a pilot program created this summer to increase security for members, POLITICO reported.

House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil said that the funds to increase the pilot program amount were previously allocated and have been repurposed to bump it up to $10,000, according to the Washington Examiner.

Several House Republicans discussed their dissatisfaction over the $10,000 monthly amount with House Speaker Mike Johnson and Steil.

The additional security funding comes after Kirk, 31, was shot and killed by an assassin last week at Utah Valley University during a Turning Point USA event. Tyler Robinson, 22, has been arrested as the suspected shooter.

Later, when asked if Republican leadership would add more money for member security to the stopgap directly, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise said there were “ongoing conversations.”

“We said that at the beginning of the week — is that we’re working with our members to find out how to properly make sure that everybody has the security they need to be safe,” Scalise said.

New York Democratic Rep. Joe Morelle said that “more needs to be done” to ensure the security of lawmakers and congressional staff, “but this is an important and necessary start.”

Steil said, “The goal is having leg[islative] branch [appropriations], which is engaged right now in a conference, of them identifying the appropriate funding level as we go forward.”

The additional security funding announcement comes after a $32 million injection in funds for a program that has been in existence that lets Congress members request security through partnerships between the Capitol Police and local law enforcement agencies. The $32 million is part of the stopgap spending bill. The expansion of the pilot program is funded from a separate pot of money from the current fiscal year.

“The funding can be authorized, we need to make sure that that money is in the right buckets,” Steil said.
