Kamala Harris teases potential 2028 platform: ‘I know this is going to be controversial’

Kamala Harris on Friday signaled she’d support abolishing the Electoral College and packing the Supreme Court – an indication that the former vice president has moved further to the left since her disastrous 2024 presidential campaign.

“I know this is going to be controversial coming from me, in particular,” Harris said in remarks at the National Urban League Conference in Nashville, Tenn., before laying out part of her potential 2028 platform.

“We need to revisit the Electoral College. We need to revisit the point of expanding the court, to 13 justices like we have 13 district courts. We need to revisit, if they so want, statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C.,” the former vice president argued.

Abolishing the Electoral College – a plank on the Democratic Socialists of America platform – is not a position Harris held during her failed 2024 presidential campaign. Harris lost both the Electoral College and popular vote to President Trump that year.

Similarly, Harris didn’t back court packing in 2024. The former vice president instead favored term limits and subjecting justices to a binding code of ethics.

Powerful Democratic Donors Terrified About 2028 Due to ‘Floundering’ DNC: Report

The Democratic National Committee has had a no good, very bad year. That, of course, does not bode well for the 2028 presidential election cycle, and powerful Democrat donors have noticed.

According to Politico, the DNC’s embarrassing missteps under Chair Ken Martin have donors griping and looking for alternatives.

One donor, for instance, described the DNC as “sort of floundering right now.”

And that might have been the most generous assessment Politico received from more than half a dozen donors, donor advisors, and bundlers — those who collect many individual donations — nearly all of whom spoke anonymously.

“Nobody wants to give [Martin] or DNC money at this point, but worry is focused on the day after the midterms, because the DNC is more of a presidential player,” a Democratic bundler said. “It’s beyond embarrassing and it’s not going to get better until he is gone.”

Meanwhile, one donor advisor warned that the DNC’s failures under Martin mean that contributions will dry up after the 2026 midterms. That could change, however, if the DNC replaces Martin.

“We need an overhaul, and I think that’s what my folks will be in support of. And if that happens, there will be end-of-year giving, December will be a boom,” the donor adviser said. “But if it’s Ken, and it’s just the same — same old nonsense — I can’t make the case.”

Harris 2028 White House bid ‘not going to happen’: Former Biden aide

A former Biden administration aide said Tuesday he doesn’t believe former Vice President Kamala Harris would have much of a chance at winning the White House in 2028 if she runs again.

During an interview on Fox News’s “America Reports,” Michael LaRosa, former first lady Jill Biden’s press secretary, told host Gillian Turner that voters “are not going to give Kamala Harris a third at-bat.”

The conversation started because of a New York Magazine article, which identified Harris as the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2028.

Minyon Moore, a Democratic strategist, said to the outlet, “She’s been listening to the American people and really trying to figure out what’s impacting them and how she can be of service to them.”

LaRosa pushed back on this directly, arguing that Harris has decades of political experience and needs to instead “start leading.” He added that voters want a new presidential candidate.

“She follows. She doesn’t take risks. She calculates. She doesn’t answer questions, she equivocates. She’s got to get over that if she wants to make a connection with people, but I don’t think she’s going to get a third at-bat,” LaRosa said.

LaRosa offered his own choices that meet his qualifications when asked by Turner.

“I want somebody who can run the country. I want somebody who is competent. I love Rahm Emanuel, Gavin Newsom. I like Pete Buttigieg,” he said.

Newsom has not committed to running, saying on CBS News’s “Face the Nation” earlier this year that he needs to make the choice with his family.

LaRosa, currently a communications strategist, said his preferred 2028 candidates are not limited to those three but that he wishes for a candidate who will lead rather than follow the wave.

Harris’s office did not respond immediately to a request for comment from The Hill regarding LaRosa’s remarks.

Vance Is Positioning Himself for 2028—But No Candidate Is Free

Vice President JD Vance is clearly beginning to separate himself from the disastrous foreign policy that has dragged the United States into another Middle East war. The BBC reported that Vance has accused members of the Israeli government of trying to manipulate American public opinion against diplomacy with Iran. He is no longer speaking in the timid language traditionally used in Washington whenever Israel is involved. He is openly telling Israeli officials that the United States cannot continue financing every military ambition dreamed up in Jerusalem.

Vance asked Israel’s critics of the proposed Iran agreement a question they apparently cannot answer: “What is your exact proposal? You’re a country of 9 million people. You can’t just kill your way out of solving every single national security problem that you have.”

That is an extraordinary statement from an American vice president. Washington has spent decades pretending that every Israeli military operation is automatically in the national interest of the United States. No one is permitted to question Israel and blind loyalty is required on both sides of the aisle, which is perhaps the only aspect Dems and Republicans can agree upon.

Vance also said, “I find this whole freakout in Israel a little bit odd because I think that it comes from a place of mistrust, and I think that America has earned the trust of that region of the world.” He urged Israel to “give a little bit of credit to the United States of America, which I think has been an incredible partner for the Israeli government for a long time.”

Vance can see 2028 coming, and he understands that the MAGA base did not vote for endless war. Trump campaigned against the neocons, condemned the Iraq disaster, and promised to prevent World War III. Yet the United States is now bombing Iran, defending Israel, protecting Gulf shipping, and spending money that Washington does not have.

Why Democrats Can’t Do Better Than Kamala Harris in 2028

There are only two lanes to the Democratic presidential nomination two years from now, and one of them is already blocked — by Kamala Harris.

Get ready for the Kamala comeback, followed, in all likelihood, by a replay of her crushing defeat by the Republican nominee.

Believe it or not, the ex-VP occupies what counts as the “center lane” within the party, and for most of the last three decades that’s the one that’s led to the nomination.

Republicans used to be the party of orderly succession, even if the candidate whose turn had come looked like a certain loser: think Bob Dole in ’96.

But recently, it’s been Democrats who’ve tended to pick a party elder as their nominee:

Al Gore, as a sitting VP, might not have been remarkable in 2000, but in ’04 it was John Kerry, in ’16 Hillary Clinton, and in 2020 Joe Biden — with only Barack Obama butting ahead of the line in 2008.

Democrats like a known quantity, a reliable liberal who isn’t too overtly radical; the radicalism can wait until after Election Day.

So they’re leaning to running Harris again, even if donors aren’t happy about it: They blew nearly $2 billion on her campaign and aligned PACs in 2024, only for Harris to lose every battleground state to Trump.

It won’t be donors who decide the party’s 2028 nominee, though, and ordinary Democrats actually find Harris reassuring.

She’s a familiar face, after all, commanding practically universal name recognition.

Harris checks the identity-politics boxes that may be as important as winning to Democratic primary voters: Their ticket must have a woman, and it can’t be all white.

And after being vetted as a VP and undergoing the trial-by-fire of the ’24 campaign, Harris isn’t likely to surprise voters with any extremist tattoos or sexual-assault allegations — things that can’t be taken for granted among Democrats nowadays.

Then there’s the revenge motive: What better way to repudiate the Trump era and reverse the ’24 humiliation than by making the woman he defeated president?

Democratic primary voters are still smarting from Hillary Clinton’s drubbing in 2016: by 2028, the election of America’s first female president will have been postponed 12 long years, and feminists in the party aren’t willing to wait any longer.

These are the reasons Harris tops almost all polls of 2028 Democratic hopefuls, with an 11.6-point lead in the RealClearPolitics polling aggregate as of mid-July.

“She comes in with 99 percent name ID and everyone else is going to have to raise money and buy it,” a former Harris aide tells New York’s David Freedlander.

The donors might prefer just about anyone else, yet they’d have to pour an enormous amount of cash into another candidate just to make him or her recognizable.

Don Lemon: I’m ‘Serious’ about running for president in 2028

Disgraced former CNN host Don Lemon revealed in a recent interview that he is “totally serious” about considering a 2028 presidential run.

On Wednesday, appearing on the “Can’t be Censored” podcast, hosts Travis Dhanraj and Karman Wong asked Lemon directly about his political ambitions. The former anchor surprised the hosts by stating that he is “totally serious” about potentially running for president of the United States.

“Do you have political ambition? Is that true?” Dhanraj questioned.

“No, but people keep asking me if I’m running for president,” Lemon responded. “And I don’t know. I might. I’m serious. I don’t know. I might, because people keep asking me to do it, or if I’m going to do it.”

“I actually think I would be a really good president of the United States,” he continued.

The View Descends into Chaos After Joy Behar Admits Democrats Must Run a White Man to Win

Friday’s episode of the liberal talk show The View descended into chaos when co-host Joy Behar argued that Democrats need to run a white man in 2028 to have any chance of winning back the White House, sparking an immediate pushback from Ana Navarro.

During the heated exchange, Behar insisted she was simply focused on “winning” in what she called an “emergency” situation under President Donald Trump.

There is something hilarious about women who spent years demonizing white men suddenly treating them as saviors and their only path to victory.

Behar began by floating a list of white male candidates she believes could actually win, naming Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, and former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

She framed the suggestion as cold political reality, telling her co-hosts they needed to face facts after watching the country for decades.

Behar stated, “Maybe I’m too old at this point for this conversation. But I’ve been watching this country for a long time. And you’ve got to be in reality. These past few years that President Donald Trump has been in office, he’s practically destroying democracy. This is an emergency we’re in.”

Navarro jumped in, saying, “I hate it when I hear you say that it’s gotta be like a white man, cause I then feel that it becomes like a self-fulfilling prophecy. And I don’t want.”

2028 Democrat Presidential Hopeful Exposes Party Civil War Against Its Socialist Wing

Gov. Josh Shapiro sat down with Dana Bash on CNN’s State of the Union this weekend and said the quiet part out loud: his party is being overrun by its socialist and far left flank.

Bash pressed Shapiro on Darializa Avila Chevalier, who won the Democratic congressional primary in New York’s 13th congressional district last month while running as an open socialist.

Chevalier’s platform includes abolishing prisons, opening the borders, ending deportations, and granting mercy even to violent criminals.

Bash also noted that Chevalier attended a pro-Palestinian rally on October 8, 2023, one day after Hamas terrorists slaughtered, raped, and kidnapped their way across southern Israel.

According to Bash, that rally featured antisemitic rhetoric defending the attack. Bash asked Shapiro how he feels, as a Democrat, about someone with those views heading to Congress.

Shapiro tried to have it both ways.

“Well, her district voted for her,” he said. But that statement also came with a convenient disclaimer. “But I have profound differences from that particular candidate, based on the citations that you read there. And she’s not someone who, you know, seemingly, I would agree with on many things, or that we share similar values. She ran on the Democratic ticket, I guess as a socialist; her voters in that district determined that she was the one they wanted representing them.”

Note the hedge. Shapiro was describing someone who wants to shield violent criminals from deportation and who reportedly stood in solidarity with people cheering a massacre of Jews. Yet, the strongest word he could summon was “seemingly.”

Bash followed up by asking what Chevalier’s win says about the Democratic Party. Here Shapiro dropped whatever remained of the diplomatic pretense. “I think that what our party has to go through, that will be very healthy, and something that we’ve not really done since the 1992 elections, is to have a battle over what we believe in,” he said.

Billionaire Tech Mogul Peter Thiel Warns Woke AI Company Anthropic Could Rig 2028 Election for Democrats

Billionaire technology Peter Thiel warned that AI company Anthropic could use its technological advantage to influence the 2028 presidential election in favor of Democrats.

Speaking at the Aspen Ideas Festival, Thiel suggested that Anthropic, which he described as a “woke liberal company,” was “winning the AI race” and could use its advanced AI models to “rig the elections in 2028.”

Thiel, who co-founded both PayPal and Palantir, argued he company would be able to “completely outwit” any efforts by Elon Musk to counter it through X because of the power of its technology.

Anthropic has declined to comment, referring reporters to a previous blog post on election integrity and political bias.

The company has clashed with the Trump administration, which has even designated it a “supply chain risk” because of the restrictions it wants to place on military programs.

CEO Dario Amodei is known for his left-wing views and has likened President Trump to a “feudal warlord.”

Kamala Harris Reaches Out to Mamdani and AOC, and Yes, That’s What It Means

Well, it looks as if Kamala Harris is indeed planning to run for president in 2028, and that she is counting on the Democrat Party’s rapidly growing Marxist wing to propel her into the White House. Yes, it could mean the end of the United States as a free nation, particularly given the Biden regime’s taste for authoritarianism (hounding the social media giants to silence COVID dissidents, trying to establish a Disinformation Governance Board, treating pro-lifers as if they were terrorists, etc.). About that, Harris has never shown any concern, and now she seems more focused on the pursuit of raw power than ever before.

That was clear from the fact that, as Fox News reported Wednesday, Harris is “courting New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and other progressive power players as 2028 speculation builds around another possible White House bid.”

Mamdani is a committed Marxist and Twelver Shi’ite Muslim who has already set in motion efforts to make the city government, or Mamdani’s cronies in Marxist NGOs, New York City’s biggest landlord, which would cement the far left in power for the foreseeable future and almost certainly seal the demise of the city that is the very symbol of capitalism and the financial capital of the world.

Instead of reaching out to Mamdani and trying to forge ties with him, Harris and other pillars of the Democrat establishment ought to be shunning him and his ilk, and making it abundantly clear that their party is not a Marxist, anti-American outfit. That, however, would require a sane world.

In this one, Harris also met with another socialist, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Swizzle Stick), “behind the scenes at a Black women empowerment summit in Chicago,” which also indicates that Harris is still pretending to be black. Among her numerous notorious statements, AOC, herself a rising star in Democrat circles, once declared that “a system that allows billionaires to exist” is inherently immoral, and insisted as recently as May 2026 that it is impossible to earn a billion dollars without breaking the law.

As if embracing more or less open Marxists weren’t enough, Harris went for the full leftist/Islamic trifecta, as she has “reportedly has also been reaching out to pro-Palestinian groups after she faced pushback from those groups during her 2024 presidential run. Harris reached out to at least one group that was part of the ‘Uncommitted Movement’ that developed as a result of President Joe Biden’s handling of the Israel and Gaza conflict.”

Just days after the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas massacre of 1,200 Israelis, Old Joe Biden gave Gaza $100 million in “humanitarian aid,” which means that he was funding Hamas’ jihad against Israel. Hamas was in control of Gaza, and so the money went to Hamas. (The Biden regime wasn’t about to give the money to Israel to distribute.) And since Old Joe was supplying the money for food and medicine and schools and the like, the money that Hamas had planned to spend on all that was then freed up to pay for rockets, bombs, tunnels, and other accoutrements of jihad.

Yet even that wasn’t enough for the far left, which demanded that Old Joe repudiate Israel altogether. Harris, in meeting with a group that hated Israel so much that it wouldn’t vote for Old Joe, was signaling that she was prepared to throw the Jewish state under the bus in order to get into the White House.
