Secretary of War Pete Hegseth Responds to Reports He’s Considering a 2028 Presidential Run
On Friday, NBC News reported Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is considering running for President in 2028.
In the report, NBC News, while using anonymous sources, claimed Hegseth has told close friends and family members that he’s considering running in 2028.
On Friday night, the Secretary of War responded to the report in a post on X and wrote, “100% false.”
He added, “We told NBC that, but they just lie w/ anonymous “sources.”
“My only job: Make the Department of War Great Again. Carry on Patriots, and enjoy your Friday night,” concluded Hegseth.

Hegseth and his wife, Jennifer, have floated the idea of a presidential run for the past few months, believing he has some of the same attributes that have made Donald Trump popular with the MAGA movement, the people said. Trump’s core voters appreciate Hegseth’s toughness, defiance and conservative stance on social issues, they said.
Hegseth’s appearance at the Iowa State Fair on behalf of a Republican congressman earlier this month kindled both surprise and speculation about his possible presidential ambitions.
Iowa has long been a springboard for presidential campaigns. The state’s caucuses have traditionally come first in the nominating calendar, making Iowa a magnet for presidential hopefuls.
AOC officially rejoins Democratic Socialists of America as she eyes possible 2028 presidential run
New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has officially rejoined the Democratic Socialists of America group.
The congresswoman, among House Democrats’ most progressive members, signed up for an annual membership in 2018, then let her membership lapse for seven years, the news outlet NOTUS reported Thursday
She is the most prominent politician affiliated with the organization, which had considerable success in this primary season in knocking off some long-standing Democratic incumbents.
Recent polling shows Ocasio-Cortez a favorite among potential Democratic presidential candidates, and her decision to rejoin the DSA could score points among Democratic voters who appear to be moving further to the left in the midterm cycle.
The DSA confirmed the she rejoined the organization in August, and told NOTUS that it’s not usual for the DSA to discuss membership status of individuals. However, with Ocasio-Cortez appearing to be weighing a 2028 presidential bid, the organization decided to announce her membership.
Dem Senator Stumbles Into Word Salad After Anderson Cooper Asks Him What’s Wrong with Ensuring Voters Are Eligible
Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut struggled to give a clear answer on Monday when asked by CNN’s Anderson Cooper about President Donald Trump’s executive order related to mail-in ballots.
Earlier in the day, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Trump’s order related to ensuring only U.S. citizens vote by mail-in ballot could go forward.
The directive requires states to send a list of the names of those receiving mail-in ballots so their eligibility to vote can be verified, with the Department of Homeland Security working in conjunction with the Social Security Administration.
“The Federal Government has an unavoidable duty under Article II of the Constitution of the United States to enforce Federal law, which includes preventing violations of Federal criminal law and maintaining public confidence in election outcomes,” the order read.
The U.S. Postal Service was instructed not to deliver ballots to those unverified as citizens.
Further, states are required to have “unique ballot envelope identifiers, such as bar codes, [to] enable confirmation that only citizens receive and cast ballots, reducing the risk of fraud and protecting the integrity of Federal elections.”
“In your view, what is the harm in the Department of Homeland Security creating a list of eligible voters?” Cooper asked Murphy.
“Well, ultimately, Trump doesn’t want people to vote, and he’s going to be very selective about who he doesn’t want to vote. He doesn’t want people who are more likely to vote for Democrats to vote,” Murphy said.
“So he’s going to instruct either the Department of Homeland Security or the Postal Service, potentially, to remove people from the voter rolls or to profile people for removal from the voter rolls that are more likely to vote for Democrats, for instance, people who live in cities,” the lawmaker continued, as Cooper remained expressionless.
So his argument apparently is that if non-citizens vote, they are more likely to vote Democrat.
Murphy, who is reportedly considering a 2028 run for president, then went off the topic of voter integrity entirely, saying Trump is using his position as president to enrich himself.
Top Iowa Democrats Urge Kamala Harris to Stay Away From Their State Ahead of Midterms
Two of Iowa’s most prominent Democratic candidates have urged former Vice-President Kamala Harris to stay away from their state ahead of the midterms.
Iowa gubernatorial candidate Rob Sand was asked by POLITICO’s Jonathan Martin whether he wanted Harris to come and campaign for him.
“No thanks,” he responded: Let’s move on. We need some new leadership.”
Asked whether Harris should run again in 2028, his answer was similarly emphatic.
”No,” he said.
Radical ‘Maoist’ Faction of the DSA Says AOC is Too ‘Moderate’ to Run for President in 2028
There is apparently a ‘Maoist’ faction of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), called the ‘Liberation Caucus’ and according to them, far left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is too ‘moderate’ to run for president in 2028.
This is going to be news to the millions of Americans who see AOC as a leading figure of the radical left. She is still a member of the DSA chapter in New York City.
If AOC is a moderate, what does that say about the rest of them?

The Democratic Socialist of America (DSA) Liberation Caucus is rejecting Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., as a potential candidate for Democrats in the 2028 presidential election, arguing she is too far removed from the socialist agenda.
“Liberation condemns Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s continued retreat from socialist politics and rejects any effort to present her as the future presidential standard-bearer for DSA, or for the broader socialist movement,” the DSA Liberation Caucus wrote in the statement.
DSA slammed Ocasio-Cortez as an “opportunist” and condemned her vote to defend Israel’s right to exist and for not holding firm as an anti-Zionist.
“In short, it was determined that she had failed to meet conditions concerning Palestine solidarity,” the statement said.
After withdrawing a conditional endorsement of the “Squad” Democrat in 2024, DSA’s National Political Committee “determined” that Ocasio-Cortez hosted a public panel with an alleged Zionist organization — the Jewish Council for Public Affairs.
She was also trashed for joining a group of House Democrats to co-sign a statement — after voting against providing Israel with supplemental weapon funding — that voiced support for Israel’s right to have defensive systems.
WaPo’s Assessment of Potential 2028 Dem Field Reads Like a Program for a Sad Circus
We have a lot of fun mocking the hopefuls for the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination these days. Hey, train wrecks are fascinating in so many ways. There will be plenty of time to worry about one of them actually winning when 2028 gets here, but for now, let’s just have at the spectacle of stupidity they have over there.
While we content ourselves with effortless mockery, the Democrats’ flying monkeys in the mainstream media have to pretend that their best hopes for regaining the White House aren’t merely a bunch of Stalin knockoff goofballs.

The Washington Post frequently takes a look at the Democratic field and assesses the viability of each potential candidate at that time. Sports fans call it a power rankings. I’ll give you the first four paragraphs of the latest WaPo look at the Dems just to set the tone:
The Democratic field for president is still wide open and unsettled. The very early list includes former presidential candidates, governors, senators, House members and celebrities. While no one on this list has officially declared, some candidates have been more open than others about wanting to run.
Ahead of November’s midterm elections, the field is starting to take shape as a major debate roils the party: Is the surging progressive movement helping or hurting Democrats’ chances to take back the White House in two years?
Some Democrats argue it’s time to embrace bold, progressive policies to boost their party’s popularity among working-class voters. Others think centrists will stand out.
“I think Democratic voters are going to get incredibly pragmatic when it comes to 2028,” said John Anzalone, who served as the chief pollster for President Joe Biden’s winning 2020 campaign.
The MSMers are still fleshing out how they want to deal with the commie insurgents. Some are so freaked out that I’ve actually seen hints of journalism from them. I’ll probably write something about that next week. The author of this article has opted for — I love using this word regarding leftists — whitewashing the mess with the “surging progressive movement.” It’s the set-up for her mention of “centrists” in the next paragraph.
There are no centrists in the Democratic Party, not even relative to the Democratic Socialists of America. Also, as I’ve been writing all summer, the only real difference between the establishment Dems and the DSA upstarts is the average age of the people claiming to be one or the other. What WaPo is trying to do here is make it seem as if there has been some sort of Dem course correction by asserting that there are objective ideological differences in a party that hasn’t allowed them since Lyndon Johnson was a young racist.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shrugs off past ‘defund the police’ comments, joking ‘Woke 1 was crazy’
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., dismissed her and other socialist politicians’ past extreme controversial comments on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday, joking that the “Woke 1” era was “crazy.”
Host Jon Karl asked Ocasio-Cortez to comment on Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong and her controversial comments, such as calling for Thanksgiving to be canceled or for prisons to be abolished. Hong has sought to backtrack on some of her past views as she seeks the Democratic nomination in her state.
“I have a local city councilman that has this saying, ‘Woke 1 was crazy,'” Ocasio-Cortez said laughing, adding, “And I think that what’s important is that we have to assess what a candidate is saying now.”
Harris Renews Calls To Pack The Court Despite Poll Showing Most Americans Agree With Its Decisions
Kamala Harris is again promising the radical wing of her party that she will pack the Supreme Court. Pete Buttigieg and others have done the same to pander to the extreme left. These calls are increasing among Democratic leaders despite a recent poll showing that the Court remains the more popular institution vis-à-vis Congress, and that the majority of Americans agree with its major decisions.
The Marquette Law School poll shows that the Court remains slightly underwater in popularity (47% favor, 53% disfavor), but it is still much more popular than Congress or the two political parties. Moreover, that popularity is increasing, not decreasing, as a result of recent decisions. It was at 44% in 2025.
The mantra to pack the Court is premised on the false claim that the Court is ideologically robotic and partisan. That claim has always been disconnected from the actual voting record of the Court. Forty-four percent of cases are decided unanimously by the Supreme Court. When nearly unanimous cases (8-1 and 7-2) are included, that figure jumps to over 60 percent.
The liberal justices themselves have pushed back on the Democratic narrative. Justices Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan, and Sonia Sotomayor have all contradicted these claims. Justice Kagan recently spoke publicly on these claims, “rejecting claims that the high court’s conservative majority is in President Donald Trump’s corner.”
The most recent poll shows that Americans agree with most of the major decisions in the last year.
Dimwit Kamala Harris Warns that SAVE Act Will Force People to Prove Who They Are to Vote — How Are Democrats Supposed to Win?
How are dead Democrats supposed to produce an ID to vote?
Dimwit Kamala Harris, likely the densest candidate to ever run for president, a woman who struggled to complete full sentences without some nonsensical rambling diatribe, spoke out against the SAVE Act on Friday.
Unfortunately, she thought it was a good idea to post her thoughts on social media.
Big mistake.
She obviously is unaware of her limitations.
On Friday, Kamala Harris warned Americans that the SAVE America Act will force people to prove who they are to vote!
The horror!
Kamala Harris: This president is trying to push this SAVE Act, which basically would require that for people to register to vote, you’re gonna have to have proof of who you are through a passport, which a lot of Americans don’t have, or a birth certificate. Same point, obstacles to make it difficult for you to register to vote.
And then you got the states. 19 states have already passed laws to make it more difficult to vote, and the ones that that haven’t passed a law are doing it in practice in many places around our country. Why? ‘Cause they’re scared of you. They are scared of your power, the power you have, the power of your voice through your vote.
So the work we have to do right now, let’s make sure everybody, one, check your voter registration status ’cause you know they’ve been purging the rolls. Make sure you register to vote. Even if you thought you are, just make sure. Next, let’s make sure that everybody we know is registered to vote if they’ve not registered before. And then let’s encourage everyone, vote early where they can, vote by mail where they can, and vote.
It’s gonna make a difference.
