Katie Porter’s Nasty, Abusive Attitude Is Standard, Antisocial Democrat Behavior

Reaction to newly surfaced videos this week of California Democrat gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter being an absolute horror of a human being to others is largely summed up as, “Wow, what a witch.” But there’s something deeper to consider when you put it in the context of Democrats more broadly and their extensively documented tendency to wreak havoc on innocent and unassuming people.

For the uninitiated, one of the videos featuring Porter has her in a contentious back-and-forth with a California-based TV journalist asking the loud-mouth congresswoman if she feels the need to appeal to any voters who supported President Trump in the last election. To that wildly offensive query — How dare a Democrat be questioned whether they can persuade potentially reluctant voters? — Porter threatened to walk out of the interview, scolding the journalist for giving her an “unhappy experience.” In another video, which is several years old, Porter is seen talking to a web camera with a smile — this was an apparently more happy experience — before she erupts in a volcanic rage at a woman who steps into view behind her. “Get out of my f-cking shot,” she says with the hardest f sound her two massive front teeth could muster.

This woman is a renowned monstrosity. Text messages between Porter and one of her congressional office staffers made public in 2022 showed her haranguing the poor girl over having been infected with a highly contagious, airborne virus called “Covid” and Porter blaming the staffer for spreading it. “It’s really disappointing,” the then-congresswoman said to her. The staffer profusely apologized and explained she had a lapse in following the office’s medical testing protocol due to the death of a loved one. “Well you gave me covid,” Porter replied. “In 25 months, it took you not following the rules to get me sick.”

In response to the video wherein Porter is screaming profanity at an adult woman behind her, Porter said it’s because she holds her staff to a “high standard,” and she said she was hoping to be more “intentional at demonstrating my gratitude” for the peons who do her dirty work. Independent journalist Josh Barro perfectly summarized the comment as “stereotypical therapy-speak from the sort of person who is rude because she thinks being politically progressive is a substitute for being interpersonally pleasant.”

Barro said it as if he could be talking about any random miserable person, but this is a pattern specific to Democrats: unpleasant, antisocial people who belittle and demean anyone they perceive as inferior (which, incidentally, includes anyone unlucky enough to staff their offices and anyone who can’t help them win reelection).

Everyone working on Capitol Hill or paying granular attention to politics in Washington knows this. Stories of Democrat leaders behaving toward their staffs in abhorrent ways are legion. A lot of those stories are on record and many more are casually shared among people who work in town. When I lived in Washington, a friend of mine who resided near the home of Georgia Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock told me he would see the senator dropped off each day in a car driven by what was obviously an office staffer. That staffer would get out of the driver’s seat, walk to the back to open the door for Warnock, who handed the staffer his bag. The two would then walk to the senator’s front door, with Warnock in the lead. Once Warnock was inside the doorstep, he would take his bag and the staffer would then call a ride share service to pick him up, since the car he had driven was Warnock’s.

Mind you, staffers are not paid by the members they support. They’re paid by American taxpayers, with money allocated to each congressional office. And it is simply a point of fact that you never hear these stories about Republican members. Tell me one story you’ve heard about Donald Trump or J.D. Vance or Marco Rubio or Mike Johnson or any Republican treating their official staffs this way. I’ll wait.

New Complaint Calls for Investigation Into Southern Poverty Law Center’s Tax Exempt Status

Calls to investigate the tax-exempt status of the far-left extremists at the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) are increasing with a new complaint filed with federal authorities. The complaint calls for a full review of the organization’s status as a “charitable” organization.  The charitable designation offers significant tax benefits to the organization.

The Federalist reports that the Center to Advance Security in America (CASA) submitted a complaint to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Acting Commissioner Scott Bessent, requesting a full review in light of the SPLC’s “hyper-partisan political activity.”

CASA Director James Fitzpatrick told The Federalist, “American taxpayers should not be expected to subsidize an organization that engages in daily attacks on Republicans, compares those who hold mainstream conservative beliefs to the KKK, and who consistently labels conservatives as engaging in ‘hate’ without any reference to any other political parties or ideologies.”

“We believe the American people are entitled to a full investigation into this urgent matter.”

Per The Federalist:

Addressed to Treasury Secretary and Acting IRS Commissioner Scott Bessent, the legal complaint obtained by The Federalist requests that the federal agency launch an investigation into the SPLC over “several serious concerns about [its] compliance with federal law regarding tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) including but not limited to it no longer fulfilling a charitable purpose and its partisan political activity.”

As described by the nonprofit watchdog InfluenceWatch, the SPLC is a “controversial left-of-center advocacy group that claims to be a watchdog of extremist groups.” The organization “has been criticized for its financial practices and for characterizing non-violent conventional conservative organizations as equivalent to violent extremists.”

As further noted by Fitzpatrick in CASA’s complaint to the IRS, the SPLC “liken[s] normal, mainstream, conservative beliefs, to that of the KKK” and labels “political candidates and government officials, only Republicans, on their hate lists or hate watch articles.” The leftist group notably characterized Turning Point USA — the organization founded by the recently assassinated Charlie Kirk — as a “hard right” group that embraces “white nationalist” conspiracies.

****

Fitzpatrick went on to note that the SPLC’s status as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt “charitable” organization allows it to “raise money or financing while avoiding state and federal income taxes, unemployment taxes, and in some cases property or other state taxes.” This also means that donors’ financial contributions to the group can be tax deductible.

A few months before Charlie Kirk’s political assassination, SPLC’s “Year in Hate and Extremism” report, named Turning Point USA (TPUSA) a “hate group.”

Massie Introduces Bill to Stop the Government From Propagandizing Americans

Representative Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) wants to make it illegal for the federal government to target Americans with propaganda. Republican leadership has already blocked recent attempts to do this.

Massie introduced on Wednesday a bill to repeal the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2013. Representative Scott Perry (R-Pa.) co-sponsored the proposal. Massie explained in a press release:

The 2013 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) included the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act, legislation that ended a prohibition on the federal government exposing American audiences to its propaganda. I voted against that NDAA, and I offered an amendment to the 2026 NDAA to reinstate the original prohibition, but Speaker Johnson blocked a vote. The Smith-Mundt Modernization Act needs to be repealed. Taxpayer-funded fake news should not be used by the federal government to wage influence campaigns against the American people.

The Congressman brought up Johnson’s block from mid-September on his X account when it happened.

It just so happens this issue was one of the first votes Massie cast after entering Congress in 2012. He pointed this out during a phone call with The New American on Friday. Massie opposed the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012, and many years later he hasn’t changed his views. He said his time serving on a select subcommittee on the weaponization of the federal government and the way the federal government behaved during Covid mania have emboldened him to sponsor this kind of legislation.

Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) introduced a companion Senate bill last month dubbed the Charlie Kirk Act. He said in a statement about the bill:

From the end of World War II until the Obama administration, it was illegal for the US government to use the State Department’s foreign broadcasting apparatus to target American citizens with propaganda. In 2013, these protections were taken away. My legislation restores this safeguard under the name of an American martyr for freedom of speech and freedom of thought: Charlie Kirk. As Charlie’s vital work so ably demonstrated, Americans can figure out the truth for themselves without government telling them what to believe.

When asked what propaganda campaigns the State Department or the USAGM are broadcasting, Massie said, “We can’t know,” adding that they wouldn’t have lifted the restriction if they weren’t broadcasting, or at least planning to broadcast, such propaganda. “I think it was a CYA by the government,” he told us.

CNN’s Kasie Hunt Suggests Every American Commits Mortgage Fraud… and Federal Housing Director Bill Pulte Wants Answers

CNN’s Kasie Hunt ran cover for Letitia James after a grand jury returned an indictment on Thursday.

Corrupt New York Attorney General Letitia James was indicted by a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia on Thursday.

According to the DOJ, Letitia James was charged with two crimes: Bank Fraud under 18 U.S.C. Section 1344 and False Statements to a Financial Institution under 18 U.S.C. Section 1014.

CNN’s Kasie Hunt suggested every American commits mortgage fraud on Thursday evening to water down the charges against Letitia James.

Federal Housing Director Bill Pulte wants answers after Kasie Hunt suggested every American commits mortgage fraud.

“We will start by requesting information into the VERY concerning public statements of Ms. Kasie Hunt that she has knowledge of individuals who are committing alleged mortgage bank fraud. If Ms. Hunt is aware of anyone committing fraud, we will need to know — and now,” Pulte said.

Inside the Hunter Biden-linked proposal to sell off land around the US Embassy in Romania

Future first son Hunter Biden was tied up in an eyebrow-raising proposal to sell off land around the US embassy in Bucharest, Romania to a group that included a Chinese company — as part of an effort to help a local real estate tycoon beat corruption charges.

The scandal-scarred former first son — whose ties to Romania date back to when his father, Joe Biden, was vice-president — became involved in the proposal after he agreed in 2015 to help the developer, Gabriel Popoviciu, fight criminal charges, according to a forthcoming book by New York Times reporter Ken Vogel.

The would-be land deal, which came about shortly after Biden left office as vice president in January 2017, was floated in an apparent attempt to convince Romanian prosecutors to drop the real estate fraud case against Popoviciu.

The proposed deal centered on Popoviciu potentially handing over a portion of his land holdings around the US embassy to CEFC China Energy — a Beijing-linked firm that paid Hunter and his uncle James Biden millions in 2017 and 2018.

Under one apparent deal structure, CEFC would own as much as 47.5% of the joint venture, according to Vogel’s tome “Devil’s Advocates: The Hidden Story of Rudy Giuliani, Hunter Biden, and the Washington Insiders on the Payrolls of Corrupt Foreign Interests.”

In an effort to sway prosecutors, it was suggested that the Romanian government could go on to collect revenue from the arrangement.

Hunter, now 55, acknowledged being involved in the potential deal in multiple ways — including as Popoviciu’s attorney and as part of the “purchasing group.”

The deal ended up folding in 2017 as Hunter and his partners battled it out.

The Dark Enlightenment: Captivating Youth to Embrace Monarchy

“If Americans want to change their government, they’re going to have to get over their dictator-phobia.” These are the alarming words Curtis Yarvin, who’s largely considered the founder of the so-called Dark Enlightenment, an idea that’s being used to deceive American youth into supporting the destruction of the Republic and its replacement with a modern technocratic dictatorship.

The Dark Enlightenment (DE) is a loosely defined intellectual movement that emerged in the early 2010s. Tech-accelerationist wings of the DE even argue that artificial intelligence should be unleashed in government to help lead.

Proponents of the DE claim that “democracy” is a façade to make it appear that the people have a say in their government while in reality Establishment insiders call the shots. Of course, there is some truth in this: There is an invisible, unelected government behind the visible, elected government of the United States, oftentimes called the Deep State. However, the DE misses the brilliance and success of America’s constitutional republic and how restoring the republic (no, the Founding Fathers did not give us a democracy) is our only hope for saving and restoring our freedoms.

Upending the Enlightenment

Understanding the context behind the phrase “Dark Enlightenment” illuminates and simplifies the nature of the movement.

The DE, sometimes called neo-reactionism, is a radical addendum to the Age of Enlightenment. The Enlightenment occupied about a century of history, mostly in Western European and early American culture, from the late 1600s through the late 1700s.

The Enlightenment was a challenge to absolute authority, monarchy, and aristocracy. Its thinkers, such as English physician and philosopher John Locke — often cited as the thought architect behind the Declaration of Independence — and Charles Montesquieu — a French judge and historian — articulated natural rights and individual liberties.

It was the positive elements of the Enlightenment that fueled the American Revolution, gave inspiration to America’s system of government, and helped liberate the New World from the authoritarianism of the Old World.

The Dark Enlightenment, a term coined by tech-accelerationist Nick Land, wishes to return to elements of what the Enlightenment overcame.

Antifa Leaders Have Run Away To Sleepy European Fishing Villages…

Following President Trump’s designation of Antifa as a terrorist organisation and directions to federal authorities to dismantle the extremist outfit, prominent leaders of the group are leaving the U.S. in order to escape arrest and prosecution.

Trump press secretary Karoline Leavitt shared an article out of the Washington Examiner Thursday detailing how “Several high-profile antifa leaders have fled the country or are actively making plans to abscond overseas.”

The piece continues, “Mark Bray, a financier of transnational antifa operations and antifa’s foremost thought leader in America, announced he is fleeing to Europe, settling in Spain specifically, under the pretext of safety concerns following negative media attention.”

The article further notes that “the leaders of Rose City Antifa, the most notorious American antifa cell,” are now “holed up in Europe.”

“Caroline Victorin (née Gauld), one of the founding members of the Portland-based antifa faction, was discovered this week hiding with her husband, Johan Victorin, a Swedish-born activist and another Rose City Antifa architect, in the coastal town of Varberg, Sweden.”

They’ve literally run away to sleepy fishing villages in Sweden.

Manipulation: Media’s Illegal-alien Sob Stories Are Meant to Deceive

There’s a certain technique often used by journalists, one designed to get you not thinking, but feeling. It involves opening an article with a human-interest story, and it’s figuring prominently right now with the illegal-migration controversy. It may go something like this:

Lupe entered the United States as a wide-eyed child from Mexico, having high hopes and dreaming bold dreams. Growing up in Arizona, she toiled as a maid to support her family. But using a false document to land a job resulted in a felony conviction, making Lupe ineligible for DACA; any path to legalization was closed to her. Now in her 30s, Lupe must endure the continuous fear of deportation. She has been robbed of opportunities her peers take for granted, such as driver’s licenses or college aid. Once a hard-working immigrant, Lupe is now an outcast, one of America’s modern-day lepers.

Heart Over Head

Of course, the idea is to engage your emotions and not your intellect. You’re supposed to identify with Lupe and not identify policy-specific imperatives. It’s not supposed to occur to you that Lupe isn’t an “immigrant,” as stated above, but a “migrant” at best. (The former term implies entry via a legal process.) You’re not supposed to think about illegal-alien crime and its many American victims. You’re not supposed to contemplate the strain on resources and infrastructure, such as schools and hospitals. You’re not supposed to wonder about how the billions of dollars illegals cost our system affect our ability to help fellow citizens, such as veterans. It’s not supposed to dawn on you that deportation isn’t punishment. As with children who’ve run away from home, it’s merely the returning of people to where they’re meant to be.

You’re not supposed to trouble over the cultural and political implications of absorbing millions of sometimes unassimilable aliens. No, you’re not supposed to consider facts, figures, realities, or statistics at all. You’re not to realize that making policy for 343 million people based on one person’s situation ignores that the “good of the many outweighs the good of the few.” You’re only supposed to identify with Lupe. You’re to be governed by your tears, not Truth; by what momentarily feels good, not what is good.

Putin Says Russia ‘Very Actively’ Developing New Nuclear Weapons

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Oct. 10 that Russia is “very actively” developing and testing new nuclear weapons and that Moscow may soon make a formal announcement about the progress of its latest strategic systems.

Speaking to reporters after a summit in Tajikistan, Putin said the development of new weapons was proceeding successfully and that Russia’s nuclear deterrent capabilities are now more advanced than those of any other nuclear power.

“I believe that we will have an opportunity to report about the new weapons that we announced a while ago,” Putin said, according to Russian state media Tass.

“These weapons are being developed and undergoing tests. The tests are proceeding successfully.

“The novelty of our nuclear deterrence capabilities is higher than in any other nuclear-weapon state—and we are actively developing it all. We are developing what I mentioned earlier, in previous years—we are working to finalize it.”

The remarks follow Moscow’s recent offer to voluntarily maintain the warhead limits set by the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New START) if the United States does the same. The treaty, signed in 2010 and extended by five years in 2021, is the last remaining major arms-control accord between Washington and Moscow. It limits each side to 1,550 deployed strategic nuclear warheads and 700 deployed long-range missiles and bombers.

Social Contagion: Suicide Rates Among Gen Z Have Spiked Over Past Decade

Suicide rates among Gen Z adults have unnaturally increased in the U.S. over the past ten years according to new figures.

Axios Notes that there has been a 16.4 percent increase in suicides among the demographic between 2014-2024.

The locations where the rise is most prominent, the report notes are in the South and the Midwest, with black and Hispanic men, accounting for a huge 85 percent of the increase.

A Stateline analysis of data also shows that Georgia experienced the largest increase in suicide rates over the past decade, among 18 to 27-year-olds, with the state’s suicide rate in the age group increasing by a massive 64.9 percent.

North Carolina and Texas both saw a 41 percent increase in suicide rates, while Alabama had a 39 percent spike, and Ohio a 37 percent increase.

Alaska recorded the highest suicide rate among Gen Z, standing at 49 percent per 100,000 people, an increase of more than a third since 2014.

Suicide became the second-highest cause of death among young Hispanics over these years, surpassing homicide. And for young Asians, suicide became the number one cause of death.

Stateline notes that while men are far more likely to take their own lives, the rate for suicide among women has shot up “from about one-fifth of the rate for men to one-fourth in 2024.”

The report quotes American University professor Dave Marcotte, who notes that suicide rates among all age groups had been steadily falling for decades before beginning to rise in again in 2000.

Interestingly, while suicide rates for middle-aged people soon began to fall again, the rates among young people have just continued to increase.

Marcotte explained, “There’s likely no one magic answer to this. Future job prospects for this generation are not what they were for older generations. Today’s generation is not guaranteed a position in society that’s better than their parents. That’s one hypothesis.”

Psychology professor at San Diego State University Jean Twenge suggests that the huge uptake of social media is a likely factor, with those born after 1995 having become adults when smartphones became ubiquitous.
