Michigan Senate Candidate Abdul El-Sayed Apologizes for ‘Pain’ Caused by Remarks Following Synagogue Attack

Far-left Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed has apologized for remarks he made following an antisemitic attack on a Detroit-area synagogue.

El-Sayed acknowledged that his attempt to provide “broader context” in the immediate aftermath was a mistake.

He addressed the controversy Saturday while speaking before the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus, whose members had expressed concerns about his candidacy and links to Islamism.

In March, Ayman Mohamad Ghazali drove a truck into Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township, injuring a security guard in what authorities described as a targeted attack against Jews.

El-Sayed condemned the violence at the time, saying there was “never a justification for attacking innocent people,” but added that “violence is a cycle” and “hurt people hurt people.”

Becerra’s Mexican Consulate Network: Is The California Governor Frontrunner Running A Foreign Influence Operation?

Xavier Becerra, California’s AG turned HHS Sec turned likely Gubernatorial candidate, got his start in politics thanks to a foreign coordinated influence network that funnels through Mexico’s consulates, says a recent Government Accountability Institute (GAI) report. The gigantic network was built by Becerra, in part, through his alignment with nonprofit organizations that have coordinated for decades with Mexico’s 50+ US consulates. Mexico’s former Foreign Minister said it best: “We are already giving instructions to our consulates that they begin propagating militant actions — if you will — in their communities.” That is not a metaphor. Mexico’s consulates have run voter registration drives and distributed how-to guides on crossing into the US and evading Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

As “my family,” Becerra aids the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA), an organization running multiple operations both north and south of the border. The DOGE project called CHIRLA a “civic pipeline” of immigration services to Democratic voter mobilization. The group has sent activists to obstruct live ICE enforcement operations and has called for dismantling the Department of Homeland Security entirely.

UnidosUS — formerly the National Council of La Raza — is next. Becerra has given keynote speeches at their annual conferences, with travel expenses covered by the group. Unidos was founded under a written agreement with Mexican President Carlos Salinas, which Mexico’s Foreign Ministry described as “an instrument of Mexican foreign policy.” Unidos directors have held meetings with Mexican officials specifically to strategize resistance to Trump administration enforcement.

The Logan Act — the very law now trending nationwide — outlaws U.S. citizens’ engagement with foreign governments to change their positions on disputes with the United States. GAI President Peter Schweizer argues this coordination goes beyond politics. In 2024, Mexican leaders explicitly endorsed MALDEF and Unidos as vehicles for “collective action” toward reclaiming the American Southwest.

On September 11, 2017, Becerra attended a private luncheon with Mexican diplomats during their mission to organize resistance to Trump’s DACA termination. That same day, he filed a lawsuit that ultimately preserved DACA in federal court. Coincidence or coordination? The State Department has begun a national security review of all 53 Mexican consulates. The question now is whether DOJ will follow.

US Deports Ex-Ecuadorian Minister Tied to Cartel Murder of Presidential Candidate

ICE overrode judge’s decision blocking José Serrano’s removal.

Ex-Ecuadorian minister José Serrano, accused of aiding a cartel murder presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio in 2023, has been deported by ICE.

Ecuadorian conservative Presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio was assassinated at a campaign rally in August 2023.

Fernando Villavicencio was reportedly shot in the head three times.

Supporters of the popular conservative, Fernando Villavicencio, managed to capture a suspect after the assassination.

A grenade was also found at the scene.

The criminal gang “Los Lobos,” based in Ecuador, later claimed responsibility for the assassination.

José Serrano’s removal took place even after a US judge blocked Serrano’s removal arguing he may be tortured if returned to the South American nation.

ADL, Jewish Groups Lobby California to Classify Jews as a Race, ‘Not Just a Faith’

The Anti-Defamation League and a host of major Jewish groups are lobbying California to pass a bill to classify Jews as a race/ethnicity and “not just a faith.”

They’re hoping the reclassification will be implemented nationwide.

From The Jewish Telegraphic Agency, “California could become the first state to list ‘Jewish’ as an ethnicity”:

California could become the first state in the nation to consider “Jewish” an ethnic and racial identity, rather than just a religious affiliation.

A groundbreaking bill, which was recently approved by the State Senate and is awaiting a vote in the Assembly, would expand California’s legal definition of ethnicity “to include Jewish identity” in demographic data collection. In other words, state agency forms would need to include a “Jewish” category in questions that allow for voluntary disclosures of ethnicity or race.

If the bill, SB 1387, goes on to become law, this requirement would also apply to public entities ranging from public schools to unemployment offices to prisons. But the clock is ticking, as Monday, Aug. 31, is the final day of the year that California lawmakers can pass legislation. The governor then has until Sept. 30 to sign bills into laws or veto them.

The ethnicity legislation has been a priority among many Jewish groups across the Gold Rush state, who believe that Jewish peoplehood should be tied to far more than just religion — and that the law should reflect this unique relationship.

Democratic state assemblyman Josh Lowenthal told the Jewish News Syndicate in April that he co-sponsored SB 1387 to improve Jewish communities’ “ability to access public resources” and “protection within the judicial system.”

“Lowenthal said the state relies on demographic data to ‘fairly allocate public health and educational resources, as well as monitor the effectiveness of its programs for represented communities,'” JNS reported.

“We know that good data creates good policy, so this will allow us to be able to inform better policy in the future,” Jewish California CEO David Bocarsly told The Forward. “The goal of this isn’t to get more resources for our community; it’s to get the right amount of resources for our community.”

“If the California bill does become law, Bocarsly expressed hope ‘that other states and hopefully the federal government would also follow suit,'” JTA noted.

These groups for decades have been insisting that race doesn’t exist and is just a social construct, but now they’re leading the charge for Jews to be classified as a race to secure “the right amount of resources” for their people.

Much of the Jewish community as a whole, with the ADL leading the charge, shifted hard to the right after October 7th, and their support helped propel Trump into office.

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt’s shift from an anti-racist liberal to a hardcore Jewish nationalist and MAGA conservative perfectly encapsulates their changing priorities.

New Documents Confirm Fauci’s NIAID Provided Cover for CIA Bioterrorism Research — CIA Helped Obtain the Viruses and Controlled What Data Could Be Shared

As The Gateway Pundit has reported for years, Fauci was never merely a public-health doctor.

After the anthrax attacks, Vice President Dick Cheney and the Bush administration remade NIAID into the civilian hub of U.S. biodefense.

Billions poured in. High-containment labs proliferated. Dual-use research on the most dangerous pathogens exploded, work that Fauci later funneled, through EcoHealth Alliance, to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The new documents fill in how early that partnership with the intelligence community really was.

According to Sen. Rand Paul:

“JUST RELEASED: The official hearing record of Anthony Fauci’s “testimony” before my Committee—which ultimately led the Committee to hold him in contempt. Beginning on page 96: previously unreleased documents I entered into the permanent congressional record, like this one showing CIA funds were transferred to Fauci’s NIAID.”

An undated interagency agreement obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation confirms that Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases worked directly with the CIA on sensitive research involving viruses and biological threats.

The eight-page agreement shows that the CIA’s Biological Technology Center initiated a collaboration with NIAID involving “forensic microbiology” research for the intelligence community.

Fauci served as director of NIAID from 1984 until 2022.

According to the documents, the CIA planned to leverage existing civilian research programs at NIH to support intelligence-related biological research.

Unclassified NIH virus research would be used to “augment and complement” the CIA’s own research and development.

The CIA would even help Fauci’s agency obtain the pathogens needed for the research.

The arrangement also gave the spy agency control over what could be released publicly.

Although the resulting research was reportedly considered sensitive rather than classified, NIAID could not share the data without first receiving permission from the CIA.

In other words, Fauci’s supposedly civilian public-health institute was working alongside America’s premier spy agency on research involving dangerous biological agents, with the CIA controlling access to the findings.

The project reportedly sought to expand the government’s ability to conduct comparative forensic analyses of complete viruses rather than examining only individual genes.

This is not ancient history. It is the origin story of the same apparatus that later funded bat-coronavirus experiments in Wuhan, steered the intelligence community away from the lab-leak hypothesis, and produced the “Proximal Origin” paper that media and public-health officials treated as gospel.

Documents released this year by Sen. Rand Paul and then-DNI Tulsi Gabbard showed Fauci briefing CIA officials, feeding the IC a hand-picked list of NIAID-funded scientists, and denying under oath that he had discussed viral research with intelligence agencies.

The new CIA–NIAID agreement shows the relationship was baked in from the start.

20,000 people in Oregon have now received legal psilocybin therapy, and the outcomes are overwhelmingly positive

In 2020, Oregon became the first US state to approve the use of psilocybin therapy, and new data suggests that the psychedelic drug is being used to great effect at state-regulated clinics.

Among those accessing legal psilocybin therapy in Oregon, the majority report significant improvements in mental health, wellbeing, and life satisfaction in the three months after treatment, with very few patients experiencing adverse events.

Since 2023, more than 20,000 people have legally accessed psilocybin therapy in Oregon, with 26 treatment centers currently holding licenses to administer the drug. Using data from 24 of these clinics, researchers analyzed the experiences and outcomes of 346 patients, all of whom underwent treatment between November 2024 and March 2026.

“Most participants were highly satisfied with their psilocybin experience, would recommend their licensed service center and facilitator, felt the experience was beneficial, and that their goals for seeking services had been met,” write the study authors.

One month after taking the drug, 92.2 percent of individuals stated that they had benefited from their treatment, with 58.6 percent ranking the experience among the 10 most meaningful events of their life.

Prior to treatment, 63 percent of participants said they were satisfied with their lives, yet this figure rose to 82.3 percent three months after taking psilocybin. On average, scores on a standard test that measures wellbeing rose from 22.1 at baseline to 25.3 at the three-month follow-up.

Senate Probes Flock Safety Over 20 Billion Vehicle Scans

The US Senate has joined a host of other actors in putting pressure on Flock Safety, a maker of automated license-plate readers, over misuse of its technology by law enforcement and others.

The Senate’s scrutiny came in the form of a letter that was sent by Republican Senator Josh Hawley, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Counterterrorism, on August 26.

The senator gave Flock Safety CEO Garrett Langley until September 8 to answer a series of questions and produce documents.

We obtained a copy of the letter for you here.

The investigation targets the scale of the operation, the retention of data collected from the more than 120,000 cameras across 49 states that Hawley said the company has, as well as customers’ search capabilities.

Hawley’s letter says the cameras produce more than 20 billion vehicle scans every month. The scans are then turned into records that can be searched by customers.

Hawley’s concern is that this is turning the act of driving a vehicle into a record that can be searched – and he said that Congress has never authorized the creation of such a network.

“But Americans do not surrender their privacy rights when they drive to work, drop their kids off at school, or go to church,” the senator wrote. “Congress never authorized the network your industry has built.”

The letter seeks information on whether customers can run statewide or nationwide searches of vehicle or driver data, and if this is the default option. The retention periods, both default and maximum, are also of interest to Hawley, as is the number of confirmed misuse cases since January 1, 2021.

Hawley also wants to know what information customers must provide to justify a search, what restrictions Flock imposes, and what the accuracy is when it comes to complete and correctly attributed vehicle identification. The frequency of incorrect alerts is also a question.

Flock is also asked to provide details about the data the devices capture, whether the data is linked to any outside source, and whether multi-factor authentication is required of all users.

And in a question that goes beyond the plate readers, Hawley wants to know if Flock has the capability to biometrically track people.

The request for documents includes contracts with governmental customers, prices and fee schedules, information about pilot programs, discounted or donated equipment, and help given to customers to secure federal, state, or private grant funding.

Wyoming GOP Gov. Mark Gordon Whines About ‘Aggressive, Unexpected’ DOJ Election Monitors – Orders Investigation

Wyoming Republican Gov. Mark Gordon is complaining about federal election monitors sent to observe last week’s primary elections.

Gordon is also ordering an investigation after Justice Department officials attempted to examine voting procedures in the state.

Two DOJ monitors arrived at a polling location in Cheyenne last Tuesday as part of a federal effort to ensure elections comply with voting and civil-rights laws.

According to Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee, the monitors asked questions about election procedures, sought to speak with voters and requested access to voting equipment.

Local officials refused some of those requests, and Gordon was less than pleased.

“It was aggressive, unexpected, disruptive and certainly didn’t seem to show respect for the state,” Gordon moaned.

“We’re going to get to the bottom of it as best we can.”

ICE to Deploy Boston Dynamics Robot Dogs for Its Enforcement Operations

Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) is preparing to deploy robotic dogs as part of its immigration enforcement operations.

The agency planning to spend as much as $2 million on Boston Dynamics’ four-legged Spot robots.

The Department of Homeland Security says ICE needs remotely operated robots capable of entering dangerous locations where sending officers could put them at unnecessary risk.

According to procurement documents, the robots will be used for “inspection, situational awareness, and hazard assessment” in confined, unstable and otherwise difficult-to-access environments.

ICE is expected to spend between $1 million and $2 million purchasing Spot robots and accompanying equipment.

With individual units costing roughly $75,000 before additional equipment, the contract could put dozens of robotic dogs into service.

Does the Flu Vaccine Prevent Death?

Dear Editor,

My letter is concerned with a topic of utmost importance: The effect of the flu vaccine on flu-related death. That’s the ultimate endpoint of interest for vaccine effectiveness (VE) research, yet it is not captured in most studies that employ the test-negative design.

Faksova et al. (January 2026) reported in your journal results from a large cohort study of the flu vaccine in 2024–2025 in elderly residents (age≥65) of three Nordic countries. The estimated VE against flu-related death was 63%, which corresponds to a risk ratio (RR) of 0.37. How robust is the result? What does sensitivity analysis show?

The authors relied on a matched design to avoid confounding bias, a major threat in observational research. Unvaccinated members of the cohort were matched to the vaccinated (one-to-one matching) on several variables, including key comorbidities.

Sweden was not included in the mortality analysis (small numbers), and the mortality graphs were displayed by country (Denmark, Finland). I will examine the data from Denmark, a matched cohort of over one million people.

Graphs of cumulative mortality by vaccination status were displayed as of 14 days after a matched index date. For a vaccinated person, the index date was the vaccination date; for their unvaccinated counterpart, that matched date was just a random date on the calendar. I will return to this point later when we discuss their health status.
