Special Operations Command Hires Diversity and Inclusion Chief Who Posted Anti-Trump Memes

United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) has hired as its first “chief of diversity and inclusion” a person who posted anti-Trump memes on his Facebook page, including one that compared the former president to Adolf Hitler.

After his hire was announced, some of Torres-Estrada’s apparent social media posts began circulating.

A Facebook account appearing to belong to Torres-Estrada posted on June 2, 2020: “Here I leave this and slowly retire (to continue working from home)…” along with a meme of then-President Donald Trump, holding up a bible in front of St. John’s Episcopal Church after Black Lives Matter protesters set fire to it, next to a photo of Hitler.

N.J. teacher ordered to alter Trump t-shirt in yearbook photo wins $325,000 settlement

A New Jersey teacher has won $325,000 settlement against school district after she was scapegoated for removing the phrase “TRUMP Make America Great Again!” from a student t-shirt in a school yearbook photo. That’s according to a story at NJ.com.

Teacher Susan Parsons says she was flooded with hate mail and received death threats after the alteration of the student photo became public in 2017, says NJ.com.

Parsons reportedly said it was the principal’s secretary who ordered her to alter the student’s t-shirt in the yearbook photo after saying, “That has to go.”

But when the controversy made headlines, the school district blamed the teacher, says NJ.com.

Nation’s first ‘vaccine passport’ coming to New York

The nation’s very first “vaccine passport” is coming to the Big Apple. 

The program, dubbed the “Excelsior Pass,” is an app that will allow New Yorkers to prove their vaccination status, or recent history of a negative COVID-19 test, in order to gain entry to events and businesses, Governor Cuomo announced in a news release Friday.  

“Similar to a mobile airline boarding pass, individuals will be able to either print out their pass or store it on their smartphones using the Excelsior Pass Wallet app,” the news release explains.

DHS PREPARING TO USE PRIVATE CONTRACTORS TO “SCOUR PUBLIC DATA AND SOCIAL MEDIA” TO COMPILE DISSIDENT CITIZENS FOR WATCH LIST AND NO FLY LISTS

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is now getting ready to hire public companies, individual contractors outside government, to scour public data and social media in order to provide information for the new “domestic terror watch lists.”  From the description it appears DHS is going to pay “big tech” (Google, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, SnapChat, Twitter, etc.), via contracts, to hire and organize internal monitoring teams to assist the government by sending information on citizens they deem “dangerous.”

Gee, what could possibly go wrong with this?…

NBC is reporting on these new developments as the U.S. intelligence apparatus is preparing to go live with the assembly of lists of Americans who “could be” potential threats to the government; and need to be watched.

However, even NBC is beginning to realize the consequences: “DHS planning to expand relationships with companies that scour public data for intelligence and to better harness the vast trove of data it already collects on Americans. The department is also contemplating changes to its terrorist watch listing process.”

The Pentagon is investigating whether special operators have committed war crimes, and if their commanders have even been checking

The Pentagon’s Inspector General is investigating US Central Command’s (CENTCOM) and US Special Operations Command’s (SOCOM) handling of potential war-crimes cases within their operational jurisdiction or by their units.

CENTCOM is one of the more important unified combatant commands in the US military, as it is responsible for the Middle East and parts of Africa. SOCOM is responsible for developing, equipping, and employing most US special-operations units.

According to the Inspector General, the objective of the investigation is two-fold: First, to evaluate and determine the extent to which CENTCOM and SOCOM developed programs compliant with the Defense Department’s Law of War requirements and aimed at preventing or reducing potential war crimes, and second, to determine whether CENTCOM and SOCOM properly investigated allegations of potential war crimes.
