Jesse Jackson Jr., son of the late Rev. Jesse Jackson, has come out swinging against the Democrats who shamelessly turned his father’s funeral into a hate-filled anti-Trump spectacle.

Jackson, who has largely stayed out of the spotlight during this mourning period, issued a fiery statement blasting the political opportunists who hijacked the solemn event to push their divisive agenda during the homegoing service for his father at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition headquarters in Chicago on Saturday.

On February 18, Jonathan Jackson Jr. pleaded during a press conference for people not to bring politics into his father’s funeral services.

“Dad believed that funerals were not for the dearly departed. He believed funerals were for the living. He believed they were great gathering meetings.

No two lives in human history will have the same number of people attending their funerals, nor will the same people be at their funerals. Your friends aren’t my friends, and my friends aren’t your friends. We don’t know the same people. You don’t know the same people that I know.

Do not bring your politics, out of respect to Reverend Jesse Jackson and the life that he lived, to these homegoing services. Come respectfully, and come to say thank you.

But these homegoing services are welcome to all — Democrat, Republican, liberal, and conservative; right-wing, left-wing — because his life is broad enough to cover the full spectrum of what it means to be an American.

We only ask people to come and be respectful in the context of the extraordinary life that he lived. Dad would have wanted us to have a great meeting to discuss our differences, to find ways of moving forward and moving together.”

FBI secretly seizes election records from Arizona’s largest county as voting probe expands

The FBI is expanding its criminal probe into suspected election irregularities, secretly obtaining a large tranche of voting records from Arizona’s largest county with a recent grand jury subpoena, multiple people familiar with the probe told Just the News.

The sources, who spoke only on condition of anonymity because of the secrecy of the grand jury probe, said FBI agents are receiving gigabytes of electronic election data from Maricopa County, about a month after the bureau first disclosed an investigation into election irregularities by raiding a warehouse near Atlanta and seizing ballots from the 2020 election conducted in Fulton County, Georgia’s largest metropolis.

Election irregularities in Arizona and elsewhere

The subpoena comes five years after the GOP-led Arizona state Senate conducted a lengthy investigation into the 2020 election and concluded there were significant irregularities.

More recently, the bureau was alerted to a report filed by Republican and Democrat election observers who believed they observed irregularities in November 2024 at a warehouse in Arizona where blank and filled-out absentee ballots were observed in the same location, according to the sources.

Congress has never released the report from the staffers who were sent to observe the 2024 election in Maricopa County, which includes Arizona’s largest city of Phoenix.

But House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil recently hinted at the significance of the report in an interview with the Just the News, No Noise television show.

“We’re digging back through those reports that were submitted by our election observers that were deployed across the country,” Steil said. “This is where working hand in glove with other federal government agencies is so important.

“We have reports documenting instances that occurred in Arizona and across the country, and we are reviewing those in real time and working hand in glove with federal partners to make sure that the law was followed in every jurisdiction in the country,” he added.

Rhode Island Bill Could Turn Gun Owners Into Criminals for Keeping the Firearms They Legally Bought

Two new bills introduced in the Rhode Island legislature are taking aim at legal gun owners, and one of them could easily turn lawful gun owners into criminals overnight, simply for maintaining possession of the firearms they legally purchased. 

Each of these bills, by themselves, represent a major infringement on the right to keep and bear arms, but taken together they pose an existential threat to the Second Amendment rights of Rhode Island residents. 

Any gun or magazine ban that allows existing owners to maintain possession of their arms can be amended in the future to remove those protections, and that’s exactly what H8073 does with so-called assault weapons. The state’s ban on the sale and transfer of modern sporting rifles, which was only adopted a year ago, would be expanded to prohibit the possession of those arms beginning July 1 of this year. Simply keeping the gun you lawfully purchased could result in a ten-year prison sentence and/or a fine of up to $10,000.

Then there’s H7755, which would expand the state’s “Responsible Firearm Purchasing Act.” Under the current law, anyone purchasing a handgun must provide the seller with a valid “training certificate” issued by the Rhode Island Attorney General, and after the sale has been approved they’re subjected to a 7-day waiting period before they can take possession of their handgun. 

H7755 would expand that requirement (and waiting period) to all gun sales in the state. In order to simply purchase a gun to keep in the home you’d have to take an 8-hour training course complete with a live-fire requirement, and then pass a written test developed by the Attorney General’s office.

Lindsay Graham Met With Israeli Intelligence In Attempt To Lobby Trump On War With Iran

Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham made multiple trips to Israel in recent weeks to gather ammunition for his push to get President Trump to strike Iran, sitting down with members of the country’s spy agency along the way.

“They’ll tell me things our own government won’t tell me,” Graham told the Wall Street Journal (WSJ). The South Carolina Republican also admitted to advising Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the best way to pitch Trump on military action, according to the same report. Netanyahu ultimately presented intelligence to the president that helped convince him to green-light the operation, WSJ reported.

Israel Hayom, an Israeli outlet, confirmed the tight relationship between Graham and Netanyahu, describing the senator as one of four central figures behind the war. The outlet reported that Graham flew back to Mar-a-Lago from his Middle East tour carrying word that Gulf states wanted the U.S. to act, a message that clashed with what was being reported publicly at the time.

Your dollar bought less at the grocery store this year than last. The Federal Reserve added trillions to the money supply. These facts are connected, but understanding how requires grasping one of economics’ deepest puzzles: why does money have value at all when it cannot directly satisfy our needs?

You hand a bill to a merchant in exchange for bread. This simple act, repeated billions of times daily, reveals a profound mystery. The paper in your wallet feeds no one, yet everyone accepts it. Why?

For most of human history, money was a tangible commodity: precious metals, cattle, salt, shells—goods with inherent utility. Gold and silver served as money for millennia because people valued them as ornaments before anyone thought to use them in trade. Modern fiat currency—unbacked paper declared valuable by government decree—is a recent innovation spanning barely a century.

When the Federal Reserve chairman announces another round of monetary expansion, he acts on assumptions about money’s nature that would have seemed absurd to every generation before ours. Understanding what actually makes money valuable—and what happens when authorities manipulate it—reveals truths central to the current inflation debate.

Supply and Demand: The Foundation

Like any good, money’s value is determined by supply and demand. When the money supply increases while demand remains constant, each unit becomes less valuable—its purchasing power declines. This is not a complex theory, it is simple economics applied to money.

We have been covering in TGP about the severing of ties between the US Government and the AI company Anthropic over disagreements that arose in the Department of War, and quickly led to a complete ban of their products and services in all agencies.

Anthropic also deserved one of the classic dressing-downs by US President Donald J. Trump.

So, after all that, the company’s CEO Dario Amodei came to public with a controversial claim about his AI models, saying he wasn’t sure if his company’s AI models have gained consciousness.

Amodei was mercilessly trolled by social media users, including billionaire Elon Musk.

Fox News reported:

“’Anthropic CEO says Claude may or may not have gained consciousness, as the model has begun showing symptoms of anxiety’, read a post on X by cryptocurrency-based prediction market Polymarket, to which Musk replied, “He’s projecting.”

Epic Fury, Epic Incoherence, Epic Propaganda

The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps did not confess to accidentally bombing a girls school in the Iranian city of Minab last weekend, killing 165 students. Israeli warplanes weren’t involved, either, and U.S. military investigators have tentatively concluded that U.S. forces were responsible.

Here’s a huge and amazing story from Fox News on Wednesday: Thousands of Iraqi Kurds launch ground offensive in Iran. Absolutely nothing of the kind occurred, not even close, as Fox itself was later obliged to admit in a sideways kind of way.

A major US radar installation at Qatar’s Al-Udeid Air Base was not destroyed by an Iranian drone strike in the early hours of the war. The USS Abraham Lincoln was not hit by four Iranian ballistic missiles last Sunday. And no, 650 U.S. troops were not killed in the first two days of fighting. The number of U.S. servicemen who lost their lives: six.

Elon Musk’s X has been an absolute swamp of “fake news” and video-game imagery and burning buildings in Dubai that actually burned in Tel Aviv last summer. I can’t even be bothered to debunk a fraction of it. More pressing business is at hand.

Let’s get something important out of the way, up front.

Its about what we mean when we talk about “the war.”

The wildly ambitious American-Israeli operation that began last weekend as a now-or-never confrontation with the hydra-headed Khomeinist military-industrial theocracy in Tehran had become, by the third day, another war altogether.

By Wednesday the war was primarily an all-out Khomeinist war against a dozen countries in the Greater Middle East, a war of survival that was itself merely an immediate extension of the war the regime had been waging against the Iranian people since last December.

The European Union’s foreign affairs and security chief Kaja Kallas described the state of play succinctly on Wednesday: “Tehran’s strategy is to sow chaos and set the region on fire. By indiscriminately attacking its neighbours, the regime is making a strong case for its own demise.”

The war Kaja Kallas described is merely the most urgently prosecuted campaign in the same war the Iranian regime has been waging in various forms and phases, both subterranean and out in the open, by regional proxy and by state satrapy, ever since 1979.

The many Khomeinist wars against Israel and by necessary extension against the United States and the rest of “the west” have been waged most consistently and brutally against the democratic rights of the Iranian people themselves, especially Iran’s women and Iran’s minorities.

Those are the “forever wars” you haven’t been hearing much about over the past week in all the complaints, from the “left” as well as from the “right,” from certain Liberal Party pseuds and Code Pink noisemakers and batshit MAGA influencers Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly about what the White House has gotten itself into.

Elizabeth also alleged that Joaquin Arambula, who is running for Fresno City Council, got so drunk during the day that she had to drive him to work, and a government car sometimes took him back home.

Due to Joaquin’s alleged transgressions, Elizabeth is seeking spousal support and child custody for the couple’s three children, who are 11, 14, and 15.

In even more potentially foreboding news for Joaquin Arambula, his wife says she has documented proof of his misdeeds.

For example, the petition shows that Joaquin Arambula checked himself into Reflections Rehabilitation for a whopping $30,000, seemingly confirming at least part of his wife’s allegations.

Joaquin Arambula says that his wife is twisting the facts and seeking financial gain.

As War Rages In Iran, UK MoD Surveys Troops On Wearing Makeup And Nail Polish

While flames engulf Iranian oil depots following U.S. and Israeli strikes, and Iran retaliates with missiles targeting the UAE and Israel, the UK Ministry of Defence has sparked backlash by circulating a survey to troops about relaxing appearance standards. The questionnaire asks if male soldiers should be allowed to wear makeup, nail polish, and longer hair, ridiculously framing it as a push toward “gender-free” policies.

The timing of this clownish behaviour couldn’t be worse. The survey, originating from Army HQ in Andover, proposes uniform rules on hair, jewelry, and even facial aesthetics like fillers and microblading for all genders.

The review builds on recent shifts in UK military policies. In 2024, the Army reversed a long-standing ban on beards. Back in 2019, then-Defence Secretary Ben Wallace floated allowing men to use camouflage-colored makeup. And in 2017, instructions emphasized avoiding gender-specific language like “best man for the job.”

Shadow Defence Minister Mark Francois slammed the initiative, stating, “Upgrading to mascara from camouflage cream is hardly likely to deter Putin.”

An Army spokesman pushed back, clarifying, “As the Chief of the General Staff has said, the Army is focused on enhancing our lethality and fighting readiness. There are no plans to change policy – and this was not an official Army survey.”

This comes against a backdrop of escalating conflict in Iran. U.S. and Israeli forces have conducted devastating strikes on regime oil depots, with reports of “fire rain” over Tehran after the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a daytime assault. Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of UK gas shortages with only days’ reserves left. Iranian drones and missiles have struck Dubai skyscrapers and airports, killing civilians.

In addition, U.S. President Donald Trump has publicly dressed down UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer for what he calls a tardy response to the crisis.

In a social media post, Trump dismissed Britain’s offer to send aircraft carriers, writing, “The United Kingdom, our once Great Ally, maybe the Greatest of them all, is finally giving serious thought to sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East. That’s OK, Prime Minister Starmer, we don’t need them any longer — But we will remember. We don’t need people that join Wars after we’ve already won!”

Another week, another ‘Randy Andy’ scandal.

By now, having lost all his British royal perks, titles, and honors, having been arrested, currently under investigation, one could imagine that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, exiled in a Sandringham farm, couldn’t care less if yet another compromising picture of him has been released by the US DOJ.

But, in fact, it’s the compounding effect this has on his investigation, and also the consequences being faced by his daughters.

The undated images, small and low resolution, are among the 180,000 photographs released by the DOJ under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

They’re more of a blur, these new photos, but they keep the spotlight on Andrew after a slew of compromising photos and documents destroyed whatever was left of his life.

In the meantime, people around Andrew are also suffering grave reputational damage.

His daughter, Princess Eugenie, had to resign from her role in an anti-slavery charity, as the relentless fallout from the Epstein documents continues.

“[She] served for seven years as a patron of Anti-Slavery International.

On Sunday, the princess, 35, stepped away from her role at the world’s oldest human rights organization, the Observer reported.

The charity said in a statement to the outlet, ‘After seven years, our patronage from HRH Princess Eugenie of York has come to an end. We thank the Princess very much for her support for Anti-Slavery International. We hope that she continues to work to end slavery for good and deliver freedom for everyone’.”
