Having it both ways…

Unsurprisingly, San Francisco will put into place a government vaccine mandate, meaning no one, including employees, will be able to enter bars, restaurants, gyms, or theatres without having taken the shot.
A negative COVID test or proof of natural immunity will not be an option.
As of August 20th (October 13th for employees), the only way to engage in a social life in the city will be to have been vaccinated.
A “COVID compliance team” will be activated to “reeducate” businesses, according to reports, but the enforcement will be down to business owners.
A father and son traveling from the mainland United States to Hawaii have been arrested for allegedly falsifying vaccination cards and now are facing up to a year in prison and fines.
Norbert Chung, 57, and his son Trevor Chung, 19, were both arrested on Sunday at Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye Airport. The attorney for the Chungs told KHON-TV that after being arrested the duo flew back to California, where they were tested for COVID-19 and the results came back negative. The father and son then flew back to Oahu, where they are now going through the court system.
The Chungs were accused of falsifying their coronavirus vaccination cards. Investigators from the Department of the Attorney General made the arrests after receiving a tip before the tourists arrived in Hawaii, according to USA Today.
The Chungs were arraigned on Thursday morning.
Gary Yamashiroya, a spokesperson for Hawaii Attorney General Clare Connors (D), said the father and son face up to one year in prison, as well as a maximum of $5,000 in fines.
In order to travel to Hawaii, visitors must self-quarantine for 10 days. Travelers may obtain an exemption from the quarantine by being fully vaccinated, then uploading their vaccination record document to the Safe Travels website or providing a hard copy of their COVID-19 vaccination card when arriving in Hawaii.
Since the quarantine and “Safe Travels” rules were instituted in 2020, the attorney general’s office created a task force to catch anyone who violates the order.
“Part of that task force, our job is to investigate community complaints that come in about what’s going on with visitors that may or may not be cooperating,” said Arthur Logan, special agent of criminal investigations for the Department of Attorney General.
“Prior to Sunday, there were many, many hours put into the investigation that culminated on Sunday and where we are even today,” Logan told KHON-TV.
“There are multiple investigations that we have and are continuing to do,” Logan warned. “This is the first one that culminated in the arrests such as we have, but that’s not to say there are more to follow.”
If only George Orwell could see what we have become. Today I am writing this article in the midst of a deep state of sadness. I have to admit, I haven’t been this sad in a very long time. In fact, I don’t even know if I am going to be able to complete this article. What they are doing to this country that I love is really starting to get to me emotionally.
America is supposed to be a beacon of liberty and freedom for the entire world, but now we are on the cutting edge of the global trend toward authoritarianism. I know that a lot of people have been leaving the United States in recent years in an attempt to escape the madness, but at this point we see authoritarianism on the rise just about everywhere. Just look at New Zealand. Just look at Australia. Just look at the Philippines. At one time people were fleeing to those countries, but now they have become some of the most authoritarian regimes of all.
I feel so frustrated because I feel like I have been banging my head against a brick wall. Over the past decade, I have written countless articles warning that we were losing our liberties and our freedoms, and very large numbers of people all over the globe read those articles.
But did they do any good?
Entrust, a U.S.-based IT corporation owned by Nazi Joseph Goebbels’ step-grandchildren, is expected to earn about £840,000 from the UK Government to help manufacture digital COVID-19 certificates via the National Health Service (NHS) app, according to documents released on Wednesday, July 28.
The contract is expected to be extended until mid-2023, with pricing for a two-year deal already formally established though it is scheduled to end in July of next year.
In a separate Government deal earlier this year, Entrust received £250,000 for its UK vaccine passport program project.
Entrust Inc. was repurchased for $500 million in cash in 2013 by Data Card Corp, which is 97% owned by the children of Harald Quandt, who was the stepson of Nazi Joseph Goebbels.
Harald was a biological child of the “German Industrialist” Günther Quandt and his second wife Magda Ritschel. Ritschel later divorced Günther in 1929 and remarried to Goebbels who served as Adolf Hitler’s Propaganda Minister.
BMW automobiles and Altana (chemicals), a spin-off of the VARTA manufacturing company Günther Quandt owned just after World War I was among his legacies.
Günther and several family members provided clothes for German soldiers during World War I, and this is where a large portion of his start-up funding came from.
He later bought Accumulatorenfabrik (AFA) AG, a battery factory that later became VARTA, a potash mining company, many metal-working enterprises, and significant holdings in BMW and Daimler-Benz.
In 1933, shortly after Hitler’s ascension to power, Günther became a member of the Nazi Party.
In efforts to further enforce coronavirus rules and regulations, Joe Biden is considering a vaccine mandate for interstate travel.
As reported by the Associated Press:
Still, while more severe measures – such as mandating vaccines for interstate travel or changing how the federal government reimburses treatment for those who are unvaccinated and become ill with COVID-19 – have been discussed, the administration worried that they would be too polarizing for the moment.
Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger became the latest celebrity to denigrate Americans who are tired of being told how to live by the elites.
His message to Americans who are fed up with vaccine demands, mask requirements and other coronavirus restrictions: “Screw your freedom.”
The erstwhile actor and bodybuilder joined CNN senior global affairs analyst Bianna Golodryga and the rabidly partisan star of the first impeachment proceeding against then-President Donald Trump, retired Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, on Wednesday. The purpose of the discussion was to promote Vindman’s new memoir, “Here, Right Matters.”
During the nearly hourlong segment, Schwarzenegger referenced the years leading up to World War II and how Europeans had been “lied to by a regime that was very evil.”
Naturally, he compared Adolf Hitler’s regime to the Trump administration and expressed his great relief that Trump was defeated and democracy prevailed.
From there, it was a mere hop, skip and a jump to the conservative backlash over the Biden administration’s latest round of vaccine mandates and mask requirements.
“There is a virus here. It kills people, and the only way we prevent it is to get vaccinated, to wear masks, do social distancing, washing your hands all the time and not just to think about, ‘Well, my freedom is being kind of disturbed here.’ No, screw your freedom,” Schwarzenegger said. “Because with freedom comes obligations and responsibilities.
The Mayor and Health Commissioner of Philadelphia dropped an announcement Wednesday that unvaccinated city employees will need to wear two masks while working indoors and that all new hires after September 1 will have to be vaccinated.
The Philadelphia Inquirer noted the details of Mayor Jim Kenney and acting Health Commissioner Cheryl Bettigole’s announcement.
During a remote press briefing, Bettigole demonstrated that wearing two masks is “cumbersome,” and stated that “Luckily there is something else that you could do to protect yourself: You could be vaccinated.”
Cox, who claims to be running on a platform opposed to both traditional political parties, replied to Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire earlier this week on Twitter, who suggested that COVID is here to stay and that people should just live their lives “while you can.” This was not appreciated by Cox, who launched into a violent tirade on Twitter. “Whenever anyone says ‘we all die from something’… to justify not taking precautions to help protect others in this pandemic, we should be allowed to shoot them,” Cox tweeted. “Why are you crying? We all die from something. For you, it’s that bullet in your gut.”
As the US struggles to suppress the rapidly advancing coronavirus Delta variant, new evidence has emerged that the latest Lambda mutation — ravaging parts of South America — won’t be slowed by vaccines.
In a July 28 report appearing on bioRxiv, where the study awaits peer review prior to getting published, researchers in Japan are sounding the alarm on the C.37 variant, dubbed Lambda. And it’s proven just as virulent as Delta thanks to a similar mutation making them even more contagious.
The strain has been contained in 26 countries, including substantial outbreaks in Chile, Peru, Argentina and Ecuador.
“Notably, the vaccination rate in Chile is relatively high; the percentage of the people who received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine was [about] 60%,” the authors write.
“Nevertheless, a big COVID-19 surge has occurred in Chile in Spring 2021, suggesting that the Lambda variant is proficient in escaping from the antiviral immunity elicited by vaccination,” they warn.
The Lambda variant is thought to have emerged somewhere in South America between November and December 2020, and has since turned up in countries throughout Europe, North America and a few more isolated cases in Asia, according to GISAID data.
