WaPo Fact Checker Gets Called Out to His Face Over Joe Biden Mental Decline Cover-Up

A recent interview between political journalist Mark Halperin and former Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler has reignited discussion over media bias and whether major news outlets avoided directly addressing questions about Joe Biden’s cognitive health.

The conversation, part of Halperin’s Next Up series with prominent podcasters, focused heavily on Kessler’s 2022 fact check defending Biden after several videos showing unusual public behavior gained traction in conservative media.

The clips, widely circulated at the time, depicted Biden appearing distracted, confused, or disoriented during official events.

One of the most viral moments occurred when Biden appeared to wander away during a ceremony before engaging with members of a parachute demonstration team.

Critics pointed to the footage as further evidence of mental decline, but Kessler’s fact check concluded the Republican National Committee’s framing was misleading and asserted that Biden had, in fact, been speaking with the parachutists.

Halperin pressed Kessler on the impact of such reporting.

“When you write that, people say the Washington Post is saying that video is not reflective of Joe Biden’s cognitive decline. That’s what people take from it,” Halperin told him.

GOP congressman presses to change 25th Amendment after hearing Biden-related testimony

Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., revealed Monday that there will likely be more information coming out about the autopen scandal involving President Joe Biden and a possible revamping of the 25th Amendment powers to  president who is mentally incapacitated.

The House Oversight Committee is conducting an investigation into the alleged cover-up of Biden’s cognitive decline and his use of an autopen to sign sweeping commutations and executive actions. Department of Justice records show that Biden granted more than 4,000 pardons and commutations. By contrast,, Barack Obama issued slightly less than 2,000 during his eight-year tenure, and George W. Bush issued a scant 200.

“I think what you’re going to find is that Joe Biden was a wanderer in the White House, [and] that there was no communication with anybody else of authority,” Biggs said on the “John Solomon Reports” podcast. “I’m talking about cabinet-level officials. All this is starting to be revealed there.”

Questioning authority

Biggs said that it was very likely that Biden had no idea who was using the autopen much of the time.

“What else is going to happen is you’re going to find that Joe Biden didn’t know who all was running the autopen,” he said. “I think you’re going to find out that people were doing some things with the autopen that they absolutely had no authority to do.”

Biggs, who has been sitting in on interviews with former Biden aides, said there may also be criminal culpability.

It was reported in June by Just the News that former Director of the Domestic Policy Council Neera Tanden, former Assistant to the President and Senior Advisor to the First Lady Anthony Bernal, former Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Oval Office Operations Ashley Williams, and former Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff Annie Tomasini would appear for interviews to answer questions about Biden’s health and usage of the autopen while he was president.

Biden’s former White House doctor, Kevin O’Connor, last month invoked his Fifth Amendment rights in deciding not to comply with a House subpoena to give scheduled, closed-door testimony about the former president’s alleged cognitive decline while he was in office.

In response, Biggs suggested O’Connor’s Fifth Amendment rights be obviated in order for him to testify.

Robert Mueller Living in Memory-Care Facility: Report

Robert Mueller, former FBI Director who was tapped as special counsel to investigate President Trump’s 2016 ‘collusion’ with Russia is reportedly in a memory-care facility.

The news of Mueller’s health decline comes as House Oversight Chairman James Comer issued subpoenas for those involved in the Russiagate hoax.

On Monday Comer announced the Committee issued subpoenas to a who’s who of political elites and deep state operatives.

The sweeping list includes former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former FBI Directors James Comey and Robert Mueller, and multiple former Attorneys General.

Comer said Mueller was subpoenaed to appear for a deposition on September 2.

According to RealClearInvestigations reporter Paul Sperry, Robert Mueller, 80, has been living in a memory-care facility for the past few years.

“House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Robert Mueller to appear for a Sept. 2 deposition to provide details from an FBI investigation of Jeffrey Epstein from decades ago — even though sources tell me Mueller has been living in a memory-care facility for the past few years,” Paul Sperry said.

Panicked Biden Aide Neera Tanden Now Claims “Every Time” She Used Autopen Joe Biden “Signed Off Himself”

Neera Tanden is now claiming she only used Biden’s autopen when Biden “signed off himself.”

In June, ex-Biden official Neera Tanden admitted under oath to the House Oversight Committee during a closed-door testimony on Tuesday that she controlled Joe Biden’s autopen.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer recently identified five Biden aides who were involved in the cover-up of Joe Biden’s mental decline and autopen scandal.

Director of Domestic Policy Council Neera Tanden was brought before the Committee earlier this summer and admitted she was authorized to use Joe Biden’s autopen between October 2021 to May 2023.

According to the Washington Examiner, Neera Tanden testified that she was also authorized to direct the autopen, however, she denied manipulation or abuse.

According to an Oversight Project press release, Tanden would utilize

the autopen without actually verifying from Biden himself that it was an authorized action. From the release:
“…she would send decision memos to Biden’s inner circle with no visibility of approval between sending the memo and receiving it back. Tanden’s testimony confirms that she affixed Biden’s signature onto presidential documents without direct knowledge that Biden authorized the given action.

“Given Biden’s clearly deteriorating condition and lack of capacity, it was incumbent on Tanden to actually confirm that Biden himself was capable of and actually making decisions. Instead, it appears that a close cabal of advisors were put between the autopen and the President.”

RealClearPolitics reporter Philip Wegmann interviewed Neera Tanden and she claimed that she always got a sign off from Biden before using the autopen.

No Wonder They All Covered up Biden’s Health – One Aide Was Reportedly Set to Get $4 Million Bonus if Biden Was Re-Elected

Looks like four million bucks could buy a lot of loyalty for Joe Biden — and another $4 million could buy even more.

In closed-door testimony Thursday, the former president’s top political aide told the House Oversight Committee he made a jaw-dropping $4 million working for Biden in 2024, according to a report by the politics-centric news site Axios.

And he was due to pull down another $4 million if Democrats could somehow carry the cadaver of Biden’s campaign to victory in the November election.

That kind of money might be just another Hunter Biden weekend at the strip club, but to most Americans, it’s serious cash — and it might explain a lot.

The report was written by Axios’ Alex Thompson, who co-authored the book “Original Sin,” which describes the machinations of the Biden White House to hide Biden’s declining mental condition — a mental condition that was all too obvious to Americans with eyes and functioning brains.

Thompson wrote that Mike Donilon, who served as chief strategist of Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign and in the same capacity in his aborted 2024 run, acknowledged in his opening statement that “every president ages over the four years of a presidency and President Biden did as well,” but claimed that Biden “continued to grow stronger and wiser as a leader as a result of being tested by some of the most difficult challenges any president has ever faced.”

Forget Biden’s obvious physical frailties — the halting, stiff-legged gait and the poor sense of balance that made sandbags on stages a danger to life and limb. Forget even that Biden’s  “most difficult challenges” were largely self-imposed, the work of a vainglorious political hack who thought he was leading like the next FDR but was instead being led by the nose by the progressive left and his own poisonous family.

The supposed leader of the free world’s often-glaring inability to express cogent thoughts in public, even with the aid of a teleprompter, puts the lie to that statement.

(It’s hard to even read the sentence with a straight face, much less write it as a statement of personal opinion. But if it was worth $4 million, it might get a little easier. In fact, it might get a lot easier.)

Donilon also, according to Thompson, thought the Democratic Party had “overreacted” to the disastrous Biden debate performance that ultimately ended his run for re-election. (Thompson used the word “overreacted” in his report. It wasn’t clear whether Donilon actually did.)

Maybe Biden’s chief strategist didn’t see the same debate the rest of the country did, the one where Biden claimed he “finally beat Medicare.” Or maybe Donilon saw it through glasses tinted the same green as the money he was raking in from Biden’s campaign, and the money he was going to make in return for saddling the United States with what would have amounted to a corpse in the Oval Office for at least the beginning of the next presidential term.

(That corpse would have given way to a President Kamala Harris eventually, which would arguably have been even worse, but the future of the country was clearly not the top concern.)

Biden Looks Completely Lost at National Bar Association Gala, Angrily Shouts, Trashes Trump, Stumbles Through Remarks

Joe Biden took the stage at the National Bar Association’s 100th annual gala in at the Hyatt in Chicago on Thursday night.

The 82-year-old looked completely lost as he arrived to the event. Biden had to be escorted to his seat.

This is one of Joe Biden’s rare public appearances since announcing he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer that spread to his bones.

Biden stumbled through his remarks, heavily slurred and trashed the Trump Administration in his speech to black lawyers and judges.

A Year After Pushing Biden Aside, The Fallout From Dems’ Soft Coup Continues

It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since the Democratic Party launched its soft coup against the political liability that was Joe Biden.

Thursday marked the day President(?) Joe Biden delivered a mushed-mouth Oval Office speech to further explain “his decision” to end his run for a second presidential term. He claimed, as he struggled to read the teleprompter, that he was putting the country and democracy above “personal ambition.”

What a guy.

“When you elected me to this office, I promised to always level with you, to tell you the truth,” Biden said. It was a bold statement from a man and an administration that had routinely lied to the American people for four long years.

In fact, some very powerful people in his party were not only telling him to get the hell out of the way, they were forcing the issue. You’ll recall Biden’s meltdown in his disastrous late-June debate against then-presumptive GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump. That was the “Oh, (expletive deleted)” moment for a Democrat Party in mid-implosion. George Clooney lamented in a New York Times’ op-ed that Joe Biden was a shell of his old “Big F-ing deal” self, and Nancy Pelosi performed her best Lady Macbeth behind the scenes as dozens of liberal members of Congress did the dirty work on stage.

‘He’s Talking’: Did Biden’s Former Chief of Staff Squeal to Congress?

The walls may finally be closing in on Joe Biden’s inner circle. This week, former Chief of Staff Ron Klain, who effectively ran the White House during Biden’s first two critical years, showed up for a closed-door interview with staff from the House Oversight Committee. Did the ultimate Biden insider finally confirm what millions of Americans have suspected for years: that Biden’s mental decline was no secret inside the West Wing?

The House Oversight Committee, under the leadership of Chairman James Comer, is investigating whether Biden’s inner circle deliberately hid signs of his decline, whether his top aides shielded him from public scrutiny, propped him up behind the scenes, or even signed off on executive actions without his knowledge. If any of that proves true, it would confirm what critics have long feared: that Biden wasn’t running the country. His staff was.

So far, Klain’s testimony remains sealed, but sources say both Republican and Democrat staffers pressed him hard. After all, the American public has watched Biden’s mental slide play out in real time, with constant gaffes, blank stares, and bizarre behavior that have become almost routine. Now, Congress is trying to get to the bottom of what may be the biggest presidential scandal in modern history: the attempted cover-up of Joe Biden’s cognitive decline and the disturbing questions about who was calling the shots during his failed presidency.

Klain’s testimony quickly became the focus for both sides. Reports from the first hour revealed that Klain’s demeanor was serious, measured, and, somewhat surprisingly, forthright.

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) told reporters about an hour into the closed-door interview that Ron Klain was fully cooperative and didn’t dodge any questions from Republicans.

“I found Mr. Klain to be very credible,” Khanna said. “He answered every single question. He was fully cooperative. There were times he was asked about personal conversations with the president, and he was forthcoming. I really appreciate his candor and the comprehensive way he responded.”

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) offered a more measured take, telling Fox News Digital that Klain appeared to be doing his best to answer truthfully. “Yeah, when I say credible, I think he is telling what he knows accurately. I mean, he’s trying to be accurate,” Biggs said. “In my opinion, he’s not trying to avoid the questions. He’s answering carefully, saying the things I kind of expected him to say. But he’s been answering forthrightly and in the way he sees the world.”

Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) also gave a cautious thumbs-up during a break in the session. “I think we’re having a very good transcribed interview. Mr. Klain is being fairly responsive to our questions,” Comer said.

GOP senator demands National Archives turn over all documents on Biden’s health

Senator Ron Johnson, R-Wis., is demanding the National Archives turn over all records related to former President Joe Biden’s health and cognitive decline. Johnson sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio last week, who is serving as the acting U.S. archivist. In the letter, Johnson said he is conducting an investigation into “the cover-up of Biden’s health.”

My office has been reviewing the allegations that former President Biden, cabinet members, and his staff covered up his declining mental and physical health over the course of his presidency,” Johnson wrote in the letter, first obtained by Fox News Digital.

The investigation comes just days after Biden’s son, Hunter, said on a podcast that his father was taking Ambien before his first presidential debate last year. But Biden’s publicly available medical records do not list Ambien as a medication he was prescribed.

The Autopen Presidency Controversy Is Just Beginning

Now that investigations into the autopen presidency are underway, left-leaning media and Democratic politicians are finally confronted with the truth that was right in front of our faces for years: Joe Biden was not running the country, and America was being led by an unelected, unaccountable polit-bureau.

Every week we learn more that makes the long national nightmare we endured even worse. Now, thanks to the New York Times, of all places, we learn that Joe Biden couldn’t even manage the task of signing his own name on pardons of violent and dangerous criminals, and at best, only knew of categories of those being pardoned.

President Biden was forced to bow out of his campaign after he embarrassed the political class and media elite during that fateful June 27 debate with Donald Trump – but he was NOT forced to resign from the most powerful office on Planet Earth.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer announced at the Republican National Lawyers Association policy conference in May that he was determined to conduct full investigations to get to the truth for the American people.

Thankfully, Comer is making good on his promise – but it’s not going to be easy.

On July 9, after the Trump administration released the Biden family doctor from the burden of executive privilege, Dr. Kevin O’Connor began the trend of refusing to answer the Oversight Committee’s questions and chose to plead the Fifth Amendment, presumably to protect himself from criminal self-incrimination.

Chairman Comer declares he will “continue to interview more Biden White House aides to get the answers Americans deserve,” and with former press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announcing her own forthcoming book on the heels of “Original Sin” by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, it’s expected that more will come out that further confirms Biden’s mental and cognitive incapacity.

Some legal experts have agreed that an autopen signature could be legal, but we never seriously considered signing laws using the autopen until Barack Obama signed Patriot Act extensions while he was in France in 2011. Obama left congressional Republicans questioning the validity of such use when he again used an autopen to sign the 2013 “fiscal cliff” legislation during one of his Hawaii vacations.
