Facebook, Twitter, Google, Netflix ALL BLOCK Russian News Broadcasts, Content At Direct Behest Of The European Union

Big tech has moved in lockstep to censor Russian news networks Sputnik and RT, further ensuring that westerners only receive one narrative when it comes to coverage of the conflict in Ukraine.

Facebook is restricting access to content from RT and Sputnik on both its main social media platform and Instagram following “requests from a number of governments,” according to he company’s vice president Nick Clegg.

The move comes just hours after the EU announced it will ban RT and Sputnik broadcasts across the bloc, with European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen declaring that the networks are spreading “harmful disinformation,” and that the EU is further “developing tools to ban toxic and harmful disinformation in Europe.”

Following pressure from EU officials on Google and its subsidiary YouTube to crackdown on content from the Russian news networks, the tech giant also announced that it will block YouTube channels “connected to RT and Sputnik across Europe, effective immediately”.

DEBUNKED: Corporate Media’s Top Trending Ukraine Stories Turn Out To Be Complete Fakes.

A number of popular stories chronicling Ukraine’s resistance against Russia’s ongoing invasion – including those promoted by U.S. Congressmen, media outlets, and even conservatives online – have turned out to be false, despite garnering millions of shares and likes.

The viral, fake stories come amidst social media platforms rolling out robust “fact-checking” operations, often used to swiftly censor stories counter to establishment narratives or critical of the Democratic Party. These programs, however, have routinely failed to flag the following stories as false with the same tenacity.

‘Russian Propaganda’ Is The Latest Excuse To Expand Censorship

“I’m concerned about Russian disinformation spreading online, so today I wrote to the CEOs of major tech companies to ask them to restrict the spread of Russian propaganda,” US Senator Mark Warner tweeted on Friday.

Since then YouTube has announced that it has suppressed videos by Russian state media channels so that they’ll be seen by fewer people in accordance with its openly acknowledged policy of algorithmically censoring unauthorized content, as well as de-monetizing all such videos on the platform. Google and Facebook/Instagram parent company Meta both banned Russian state media from running ads and monetizing on their platforms in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Twitter announced a pause on ads in both Russia and Ukraine.

“Glad to see action from tech companies to reign in Russian propaganda and disinformation after my letter to their CEOs yesterday,” Warner tweeted on Saturday. “These are important first steps, but I’ll keep pushing for more.”

For years US lawmakers have been using threats of profit-destroying consequences to pressure Silicon Valley companies into limiting online speech in a way that aligns with the interests of Washington, effectively creating a system of government censorship by proxy. It would appear that we’re seeing a new expansion of this phenomenon today.

Ukrainian MP Swears Allegiance: ‘We Are Fighting For the New World Order’

Kira Rudik said the quiet bit out loud during an interview with Fox News yesterday, admitting that Ukraine is fighting for the New World Order.

Asked if she is surprised by the Ukrainian response to Putin’s forces, the MP said:

I am not surprised, we have been fighting Putin for the last eight years, and we had three revolutions in our country when we did not agree with what was going on and the direction we were moving in.

But now, its a critical time because we know we do not only fight for Ukraine, we are doing this for THE NEW WORLD ORDER, WHICH IS MEANT FOR THE DEMOCRATIC COUNTRIES”.

Speaking to the BBC later that day, she elaborated on her support for the New World Order and the need for humanity to “evolve.”

Claiming that the war would precipitate a “New World Order”, she said: “There are tyrannies that need to be isolated and there are democratic countries who can help each other to evolve.

This is why it’s so important for us to stay on the bright side, and even if we feel this is a David versus Goliath situation, I am still persuaded that once it’s all gone, we will be able to build the country in a much better situation with better support with other countries.

The announcement came on the same day billionaire globalist George Soros demanded that the United States and its allies must “do whatever is in their power” to help Ukraine against Russia.

D.C.’s Foreign Policy ‘Experts’ Now Demand ‘Regime Change’ for Russia.

Ahost of foreign policy “experts” are now explicitly calling for “regime change” in Russia following Vladimir Putin invading Ukraine.

Reminiscent of the establishment’s failed calls for regime change in countries like Afghanistan and Iraq, whose military conflicts cost countless American lives and resources, the sentiment appears to be at odds with the majority of the country. Nearly three-quarters of Americans oppose playing a major role in the unfolding conflict.

Benjamin Wittes, a Senior Fellow in Governance Studies at the Washington, D.C.-based Brookings Institution, epitomized the establishment’s ultimate policy goal for Russia in a recent tweet: “Regime change: Russia.”

While the post drew significant criticism from other Twitter users, forcing Wittes to issue a Tweet for clarification of his stance, other mouthpieces for the establishment foreign policy think tank community championed Wittes’ proposal.

“This has to be the policy now,” tweeted Dr. Alina Polyakova, formerly the Founding Director for Global Democracy and Emerging Technology at the Brookings Institution, in response. Polyakova is now the President and CEO of the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), which has hosted events featuring leaders from George Soros’s Open Society Foundations.

Richard Haass, President of the Council on Foreign Relations, noted how “now the conversation has shifted to include the possibility of desired regime change in Russia” in a February 27th Tweet.
