Titanic submarine used to take tourists to see wreck goes missing sparking search

submarine used to take tourists to view a wreck of the Titanic has gone missing in the Atlantic Ocean.

A search and rescue mission is currently underway, the BBC reports. It’s currently unknown if there were any people on board the submarine at the time.

Paying tourists can take trips in small submarines to see the sunken wreck of the Titanic.

The famous wreck, which sits 12,500ft below the surface of the Atlantic, is around 370 miles off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.

After its discovery in 1985, the wreck has been extensively explored by divers and submarine crews.

Last year, it was reported that one such excursion run by OceanGate cost a group of guests $250,000 to take the submersible 2.4 miles down to where the wreckage lays on the seabed.

Last year’s mission was 10 days long, with eight of those days at sea, a tourist brochure read. Each mission has just six people on board, known as “mission specialists”.

Earlier this year, the company said it planned an expedition to the wreck for Summer 2023, which would further document the Titanic and its “rate of decay”.

Their mission plan reads: “Given the massive scale of the wreck and the debris field, multiple missions performed over several years will be required to fully document and model the wreck site.

What to Know About the Case of the Missing Missouri ER Doctor Found Dead in Arkansas

A doctor in the Missouri Ozarks went missing for over a week until his body was found in an Arkansas lake. But the case remains shrouded in mystery as investigators have released few details to his family or the public.

What’s Known So Far

Dr. John Forsyth, 49, was last seen alive on May 21, when security cameras in the parking lot of a public pool in Cassville show him getting into a vehicle, after leaving his own car unlocked with his wallet, two phones, a laptop, and other items inside. That’s according to his brother, Richard Forsyth, who said the doctor had texted his new fiancee that morning saying he would see her soon.

His car was found later that day. Investigators haven’t said who was driving the other vehicle.

A search began after the emergency room physician didn’t show up for his May 21 shift at Mercy Hospital in Cassville. There was no sign of Forsyth until a kayaker noticed his body in Arkansas on May 30, at a spot on Beaver Lake some 20 miles (32 kilometers) away from his last known location.

His body had an apparent gunshot wound, authorities in Arkansas say. Although Benton County Coroner Daniel Oxford said an autopsy was completed Thursday, the results won’t be released until the investigation is over.

Officials Investigate After Mysterious Disappearance of 30-Ton Shipment of Explosive Chemicals

More than 30 tons of ammonium nitrate shipped by rail from Cheyenne, Wyoming, to California April 12 never arrived at its destination.

The fertilizer — transported as pellets in a covered hopper car often used to ship coal — fell from the railcar on the way to a rail siding, according to a KQED report. The explosives company that shpped the hazardous material notified federal authorities May 10 about the missing material.

Timothy McVeigh used ammonium nitrate to bomb the Oklahoma City federal building where law enforcement planned the raid on the Waco, Texas, compound housing the Branch Davidians. McVeigh used approximately two tons of ammonium nitrate in the 1995 attack that killed 168 and wounded hundreds more.

Google Co-Founder Larry Page Vanishes as Authorities Try to Subpoena Him in Jeffrey Epstein Investigation

The intrigue behind the shadowy sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein somehow continues to climax, despite his untimely “suicide” in a New York jail cell almost four years ago.

Via Daily Mail:

The US Virgin Islands is unable to subpoena Google co-founder Larry Page over potential ties to Jeffrey Epstein because he cannot be physically located, federal court filings reveal.

A motion filed by the attorney general for the US Virgin Islands said investigators tried to identify a physical address at which Page, 50, could be personally summoned to appear in a court.

After identifying four possible addresses, none of which were ‘valid’, prosecutors are requesting the federal government allow Page to be summoned via Alphabet, Google’s parent company, as he is still a member of its board.

It seems there are two potential explanations for Mr. Page’s disappearing act: either he himself doesn’t want to testify because of personal fears of what crimes it might implicate him in, or someone or something else doesn’t want Mr. Page discussing what he knows about Jeffrey Epstein’s activities.

I recently made a half-serious petition for Elon Musk to slap a Twitter “red check” on all known Jeffrey Epstein associates. When this ordeal is said and done, there might be a new Silicon Valley tech overlord to add to the list.

The subpoena efforts are part of the ongoing Virgin Islands prosecution of JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, implicating the highest level of multinational banking as potential accomplices in the years-long trafficking ring.

Whistleblower Who Was Reportedly About to Reveal “Explosive” Information On the Biden Crime Family’s Corruption Has Disappeared

The Gateway Pundit reported back in February that Dr. Gal Luft, the co-director of the Washington-based Institute for the Analysis of Global Security, reportedly was going reveal explosive information on the Biden Crime Family. Now he has gone missing under mysterious circumstances.

Luft was an adviser to CEFC China Energy (CEFC), a business conglomerate with extremely close ties to the Chinese Communist Party. He served alongside Hunter Biden.

CEFC Energy paid Hunter approximately $5 million in 2017 alone to secure energy deals in the United States according to the Washington Free Beacon.

Once Joe Biden assumed power, there was every reason to keep details on his and his family’s corruption hidden from the public. According to Luft, the Regime had him arrested on bogus weapon trafficking charges in January to try to silence him.

While Luft’s claims might otherwise be easily dismissed as a bluff, his connection to CEFC China Energy suggests he likely knows something about the Bidens.

“Dr. Luft is a whistleblower,” Luft attorney Robert Henoch told the Washington Free Beacon. He asserts that prosecutors decided against pursuing Luft’s information “and are instead targeting him with trumped-up and false charges.”

“This unfortunately appears to be part of an attempt to discredit a witness with critical information about an ongoing congressional and DOJ investigation.”</blockquote

In fact, Luft’s lawyer had told Biden’s DOJ that his client would submit a letter to Congress containing information Luft previously gave to the FBI during the Trump Administration on the Bidens.

Moreover, The New York Post revealed that Luft learned about explosive information: someone was selling sealed U.S. law enforcement information to Chinese individuals.

The attorney claimed that Ye Jianming, founder and chairman of CEFC-USA, a nonprofit created by the China Energy Fund Committee, told Luft that Hunter Biden had an informant in the FBI. They paid lots of money to provide sealed law enforcement information.

This FBI mole was reportedly called “One-Eye.”

The deputy and the disappeared

One morning 19 years ago, Marcia Williams woke up praying for her son. Terrance worked two jobs, and liked reading Socrates, and had a scar on his right hand, near the thumb, from one time when he played with matches as a little boy. He was Marcia’s only child. She prayed and prayed, fighting against this inexplicable feeling that something terrible was about to happen.

A few hours later, Terrance crossed paths with a deputy sheriff. He got in the deputy’s patrol car. Then he disappeared.

The deputy said he’d given Terrance a ride to a Circle K convenience store. But there was no proof that Terrance arrived at the Circle K. And his mother never saw him again.

Eventually, Marcia learned something astonishing about this deputy sheriff.

Three months earlier, another man had also taken a ride in his patrol car.

Just like Terrance Williams, Felipe Santos had been driving illegally.

Just like Williams, he encountered Cpl. Steven Calkins of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.

And just like Williams, he disappeared right after that.

The Weird Disappearance and Mysterious Reappearance of Patricia Kopta

In the realm of mysterious disappearances we have had many people who have seemed to have stepped off the face of the earth. Such cases often go years and years without any answers, perhaps to forever remain unsolved. Yet on occasion there are those very rare cases when someone who has apparently been erased from existence resurfaces again under the strangest of circumstances. Here we will look at the bizarre case of a woman who seemingly vanished off the face of the earth, only to turn up once again decades later in some rather bizarre circumstances.

Patricia Kopta had quite a colorful and varied life in her younger years. Formerly a model and dance instructor, she was a bright, straight A student in her high school years and considered sharp and intelligent by all who knew her. She would end up working in finance at a Pittsburgh plate glass company and would attend ballroom dancing events weekly, as well as make frequent trips to Puerto Rico with her friends. After falling in love with Bob Kopta they got married in 1972 after a whirlwind romance, and although they had no children they were reportedly very happy together and very much in love decades later. However, at some point something changed in Patricia, and her life would spiral into weirdness and a strange unsolved mystery.

It began with migraine headaches. Patricia had never experienced them before, but she began to have them frequently, to the point that she was sometimes incapacitated with pain and it forced her to quit the glass company after having worked there for 10 years. The headaches were chalked up to the stress of her job in finance, and she took up work for a time as an elevator operator at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. From there her behavior became rather odd and uncharacteristic. She became paranoid, always looking out the window and expressing to her husband on several occasions that someone was pursuing her. Although she had formerly not been particularly religious, Patricia now began talking often of God and became obsessed with the Bible, and she even claimed to have seen an angel. She then started claiming that she had been chosen as “one of God’s 144,000 bond servants on Earth,” and that she had been given a holy mission to spread the word of God. It would only get weirder from there.

Strange Phenomena and Mysterious Vanishings at the El Malpais National Monument in New Mexico

Sprawled out over an expanse of withered parched desert in western New Mexico, in the Southwestern United States, is the El Malpais National Monument. Known for the dramatic volcanic field covered with a barren moonscape of treacherous sharp-edged rubble, tangled lava flows, cinder cones, pressure ridges, complex lava tube systems, caves, caverns, and other volcanic features and formations that cover much of the park’s total area, all surrounded by sandstone bluffs and mesas, the name “Malpais” itself means “badlands” in Spanish, and it is popular with hikers and cavers. It is also known for being one of the eight candidate sites considered by the Manhattan Project to test detonate the first atomic bomb, as well as for its important archeological sites surrounding the various peoples who have inhabited the area for thousands of years, to whom it was a sacred place full of spirits and magic. A lesser known and more sinister aspect of the park is that it has also had its share of strangeness surrounding it, and may possibly be hungry in a sense, drawing people in to vanish off the face of the earth.

In June of 2002, James Chatman, 46, and his daughter Crystal Tuggle, 20, came to El Malpais for a day hike among the rugged lava beds. A National Park Service archaeological team saw them late on the afternoon of June 20 going off along a simple half-mile walk that would take them from the parking area to an attraction called Big Tubes, which is composed of around 17 miles of tunnels and troughs created by the lava. It was thought to be pretty odd that they were going out there into the perilous unstable terrain without hiking boots or gear, but the trail was well worn and the destination close and so nothing much was thought of it at the time. Little did they know that this would be the last time anyone would see Chatman and Tuggle alive.

‘Mississippi Lynching’: What Happened to Rasheem Carter?

Last October, Rasheem Carter told Taylorsville, Mississippi police that he had been chased by truckloads of white men yelling racial slurs at him.

Days later, Carter was officially reported missing

His remains were found a month later, just 1 mile south of the town. In a statement posted to Facebook at the time, the Smith County Sheriff’s Office, where Taylorsville is located, said that there was “no reason to believe” that foul play was involved.

Months after Carter’s disappearance, the state Bureau of Investigation and local police still maintain that an investigation is ongoing, but have provided his family with scant information. His family thinks that Carter, a 25-year-old Black man, was murdered in cold blood and found decapitated—and that police inaction put Carter in danger and is now stalling his family’s quest for justice.

On Monday, civil rights attorney Ben Crump stood with Carter’s mother Tiffany outside of a federal court in Jackson and displayed photos from an independent autopsy, which he said showed that Carter’s head had been severed from his body and his spinal cord had been found unattached to the rest of his body.

“This was a nefarious act. This was an evil act,” Crump said. “Someone murdered Rasheem Carter. And we cannot let them get away with this.”

Cops searching for 3 missing rappers find ‘multiple bodies’

Authorities searching for three aspiring rappers who have been missing for nearly two weeks found “multiple bodies” Thursday at a vacant Detroit-area apartment building.

State police cautioned that the identities of the bodies had not been confirmed.

“Please remember all victims have families, and we don’t have the luxury of guessing on their identity and then retracting if we didn’t get it right,” state police said on Twitter. “Once information is confirmed we will update.”

Taylor Perrin, the fiancee of Armani Kelly, told the Detroit Free Press that police informed Kelly’s family about the discovery.

“Thank you for all the love and prayers during this extremely difficult time,” Kelly’s mother, Lorrie Kemp, said on Facebook.

Kelly, 27, of Oscoda, Montoya Givens, 31, of Detroit, and Dante Wicker, 31, of Melvindale were supposed to perform at a party at Lounge 31 in Detroit on Jan. 21, but the appearance was canceled. They have not been seen since then.
