Google engineer, his wife, their one-year-old daughter and dog are all found dead in remote California hiking region: Police investigate if they were poisoned by carbon monoxide in area dotted with old mines

Authorities in Northern California are trying to determine what killed a family of three and their dog who were found on a hiking trail in a remote area of the Sierra National Forest after being reported missing.  

Search teams on Tuesday discovered the lifeless bodies of all three victims – identified as John Gerrish, a British-born software engineer for Google; his wife Ellen Chung; and their one-year-old daughter, Muji – near an area known as Devil’s Gulch in the Southfork of the Merced River, the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office said. 

A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office told DailyMail.com the family of three were found out on a hiking trail, not in a tent.  

Their dog was also mysteriously dead, prompting authorities to treat the site as a hazmat scene, said Kristie Mitchell, a spokeswoman with the sheriff’s office. 

The camping area sits atop several former gold mines. 

‘It could be a carbon monoxide situation. That’s one of the reasons why we’re treating it as a hazmat situation,’ she said. 

‘There are several abandoned mines up in the area and in an abundance of caution or recovery team is taking precautions for any poisonous gases, particles in the area,’ Mitchell added. ‘So far, there has been no measurable poisons registered.’ 

Mitchell also did not rule out possible exposure to toxic algae. She noted that the bodies of the deceased showed no signs of trauma, and no suicide note was found. 

‘It is a very bizarre situation,’ she said.

Who was Trevor Moore and what was his cause of death?

According to Moore’s manager, the comedian died from an unexpected “accident”.

Moore’s wife, Aimee Carlson, released an emotional message on August 7 on behalf of her and the entire Moore family.

 “We are devastated by the loss of my husband, best friend and the father of our son.

“He was known as a writer and comedian to millions, and yet to us he was simply the center of our whole world,” the statement read. 

They continued: “We don’t know how we’ll go on without him, but we’re thankful for the memories we do have that will stay with us forever. 

“We appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone.

Third DC Metro Police Officer Who Was at Capitol on January 6 Dies by Suicide

A third DC Metropolitan Police officer who was at the Capitol riot on January 6 has taken his own life.

43-year-old Gunther Hashida committed suicide on July 29, his family announced on GoFundMe.

“On July 29, 2021, we lost Gunther Hashida, who leaves behind a loving wife, sister, 3 children, and a wonderful family. In his work as an officer with the DC Metropolitan Police Department, he worked to serve and protect the public. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. This fund will help support his memorial service and his family in the loss of his love and guidance.” the family wrote on GoFundMe.

It is unclear how Hashida killed himself and his family is not blaming the suicide on the January 6 riot.

Of all the folks ambling around the folksy-cute rock-climbing community of Squamish, British Columbia, which is about 65 miles north of the U.S. border, no one is more perplexed by the unsolved 2017 murder of a onetime neo-Nazi troublemaker lunatic named Davis Wolfgang Hawke than his last girlfriend, Eva McLennan, who knew him only by how he first introduced himself, as Jesse James, avid vegan cragsman, adventurer, technologist, futurist, nutritionist, philosopher, writer, occasional poet, ex-officer in the Israeli Defense Force, and holder of a theoretical physics Ph.D. from Stanford. If that seems like a lot to take in, just imagine how it was for her. The guy she’d been in love with was pretty much just a spectral figment of his own imagination. Even his theoretical degree was purely theoretical.

The fullness of this realization didn’t happen right away. First came the murder, him found shot inside his 2000 GMC Yukon XL, which is where he lived, off a service road outside of town, digging the peripatetic so-called vanlife, the truck then torched such that you’d never know it was once bright red. All his gear vanished in the inferno, too — his climbing stuff, two phones, two laptops, a bunch of USB drives, everything. At the time, McLennan spent her nights in a tent a short distance away and stumbled upon the scene expecting only to enjoy another day of climbing the area’s many outcroppings and crags. Their last words to each other were “Good night, sweet dreams, I love you.” Instead, chaos and upheaval and death and cops.

Jury goes inside Democratic donor Ed Buck’s ‘Gates of Hell’

Ed Buck called his apartment “The Gates of Hell,” and for two men who died there, wallpaper with red flames and skulls was likely their last vision on Earth.

On one living room wall in the lair of the Democratic donor, a mural with a huge black spiderweb across a dark purple background seemed to foretell what was to come.

This was where Gemmel Moore, 26, and Timothy Dean, 55, overdosed on methamphetamine while lying on a white mattress, witnesses testified Thursday at the trial in which Buck is charged with providing fatal doses of the drug. If convicted in either of the overdose deaths, Buck faces a minimum of 20 years in prison.

Both men were dead by the time paramedics arrived, victims of a deadly “party and play” game. A photo of Moore’s corpse was displayed on a large-screen television, his eyes staring blankly into space. A plastic tube was inserted into one nostril where a stream of blood ran out and coated the side of his head. A cross was tattooed on one shoulder and the words “Misunderstood” were on his chest.

Federal prosecutors displayed a series of photographs to jurors Thursday, showing a nightmarish sanctum in which Buck allegedly paid a stream of gay black men to participate in S&M activities. This involved shooting up methamphetamine and GHB with painful sexual activities, such as lighting genitals on fire, according to testimony.

Jurors on the third day of the trial over the two-drug deaths were able to hear the 66-year-old Buck speak for the first time in a 911 call placed for Moore in 2017.

Mystery: 3 Presidents All Died After Blocking Distribution of COVID Vaccines In Their Countries

The presidents of three different nations have ended up dead shortly after denying distribution of the experimental COVID-19 shot.

After their deaths, all three countries are now distributing COVID jabs to their citizens.

The latest was Haitian President Jovenel Moise, who was assassinated at his home in Port-au-Prince last week by a group of mercenaries.

Haiti had declined the AstraZeneca vaccine from the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Covax Facility in May, citing widespread side effects reported in Europe.

This made Haiti the only country in the Western Hemisphere not to accept the COVID shot.

Days after Moise’s murder, White House press secretary Jen Psaki announced the U.S. would be sending COVID vaccines to Haiti, in addition to $5 million in aid and a team of FBI agents “as early as next week.”

Burundi President Pierre Nkurunziza was the next to recently die, from cardiac arrest in June.

Burundi’s health minister declined the vaccines in February, claiming that “since more than 95% of patients are recovering, we estimate that the vaccines are not yet necessary” in the African nation.

Sudden death of bitcoin billionaire Mircea Popescu leaves behind controversial crypto legacy

One of the world’s biggest individual bitcoin holders, Mircea Popescu, has reportedly died in Costa Rica at the age of 41, leading to uncertainty over the $1 billion in cryptocurrency he leaves behind.

The billionaire drowned at Playa Hermosa de Garabito, Puntarenas, in Costa Rica, according to a Spanish-language publication, Teletica.com, which described the deceased as a “41-year-old foreigner.”

Popescu, a Romanian entrepreneur and blogger, launched bitcoin securities exchange MPEx in 2012,  and was something of an evangelist for cryptocurrency.
