Damning statistics reveal how ABC, CBS and NBC obsessed over January 6 but ignored Biden’s family pardons

The mainstream media spent an average of 46 minutes covering Donald Trump‘s January 6 pardons but just three minutes covering Biden’s pardoning of his own family, new analysis has found.

Between January 20 and January 22, ABC, NBC and CBS devoted 15 times as much airtime to Trump’s pardons than they did Biden’s, the analysis by The Media Research Center found.

The anchors who led the coverage included ABC’s George Stephanopoulos and CBS’s Norah O’Donnell

Biden issued a series of preemptive pardons for family members James B. Biden, Sara Jones Biden, Valerie Biden Owens, John T. Owens, and Francis W. Biden in the final hours of his administration.

He also pardoned younger brother James’ wife, Sara; his sister, Valerie; her husband, John; and his younger brother, Francis Biden, for ‘nonviolent’ actions dating back 10 years. In December, Biden pardoned son Hunter, despite vowing not to.

But newscasters barely covered it. Instead, they obsessed over the controversy surrounding Trump, the MRC found.

The study comes days as CNN and NBC recover from sweeping layoffs.

Schiff Considering Rejecting Biden Pardon For J6 Committee Amid Blowback

California Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff is considering rejecting a pardon that former President Joe Biden issued to all the people involved in the Congressional investigation into the January 6 riot, including himself.

During an interview on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Schiff spoke about potential “blowback” from accepting a pardon because he spent years claiming — when President Donald Trump was serving in his first term — that accepting a pardon was an “admission of guilt.”

“And of course President Biden did issue pardons to members of the January 6th Committee. You were on the January 6th Committee. It came after President Trump said that he thought the entire January 6th Committee should go to jail. What’s interesting, Senator, you had been quite vocal. You didn’t want President Biden to give you a pardon. You went so far as to convey that to the White House. So, what are you going to do about the fact that you’ve now been given a pardon? Are you going to accept it, or are you planning to look for some type of legal recourse to reject it?” Welker asked Schiff.

“We’re looking at it. I’m not sure there’s much to be done given that it went to the whole committee. This is also, I think, unprecedented. You know, in the first instance it was a result of the president threatening – wrongfully threatening to go after people who oversee this misconduct in a legitimate committee process. Nevertheless, we’ll have to look at this as a committee to see if there’s anything to be done,” Schiff responded.

“What does that mean, you’re going to ‘look at it’? Does that mean that you’ll make a decision collectively about whether to accept these pardons?” Welker asked.

Schiff responded: “We have tried to operate together as a committee. And I think the law is unclear because this is, frankly, uncharted territory, whether pardons of this nature are like a law in which you’re powerless to say yea or nay, or there’s something different.”

Biden Admin Quietly Spent $15 Mil To Distribute ‘Contraceptives and Condoms’ in Afghanistan—and Said Doing So Would Take ‘Some Coordination’ With Taliban

The Biden administration quietly awarded $15 million in taxpayer funds to Taliban-controlled Afghanistan to help distribute “oral contraceptives and condoms,” a non-public congressional funding notice reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon shows. In doing so, the administration acknowledged that “some coordination” with the Taliban would be “necessary for programmatic purposes.”

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) earmarked the cash infusion, which has not been previously reported, last July. It transmitted the funds to Afghanistan in August, according to the funding notice and congressional sources familiar with the matter.

The $15 million USAID and its partner groups spent to “procure contraceptives,” including “oral contraceptives and condoms” in the Middle Eastern nation was part of a $100 million package meant to support “basic rights and freedoms” and empower “women and girls” living under Taliban rule. The terrorist organization, the USAID funding notice states, does not allow “young women and girls” to go to school or work in most professional fields.

It was the Biden administration’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan three years prior that led to those restrictions. The Taliban took over Kabul even before the final U.S. military planes left the city, and they quickly banned girls from school beyond sixth grade, making Afghanistan the only country in the world with such restrictions.

Marco Rubio Exposes Biden Regime’s Cover-Up: Taliban Holds More American Hostages Than Reported — Calls for Massive Bounties on Their Leadership

Newly confirmed U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio raised alarms about the actual number of American hostages held by the Taliban—figures far greater than previously reported.

This disclosure, coming just days after the Secretary’s appointment, points to a disturbing possibility: Biden’s administration knew about the higher hostage counts but chose to hide this critical information from the public.

Marco Rubio, voicing his concerns on X, highlighted the dire situation: “Just hearing the Taliban is holding more American hostages than has been reported. If this is true, we need to immediately place a VERY BIG bounty on their top leaders, maybe even bigger than the one we had on Bin Laden.”

Rubio’s did not specify the exact number of Americans still captive.

Trump Administration Squashes Biden Plan to Ban Menthol Cigarettes

As you may recall, the Nanny State under Joe Biden was planning to ban menthol cigarettes. They first planned to do it early last year, but then decided to postpone the plan to after the election because they were afraid it would cost them votes.

Now that the election is over and Joe Biden lost, the plan was hanging in the wind.

The new Trump administration just ended the plan for good. Isn’t it nice when adults have the freedom to decide these things for themselves?

The Hill reports:

Trump FDA officially withdraws long-delayed menthol cigarette ban

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has withdrawn a rule that would have banned menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars, putting a formal end to a policy that had been indefinitely delayed under the Biden administration.

A regulatory filing showed the rule had been “withdrawn” on Jan. 21, President Trump’s second day in office. The move is a significant blow to public health groups who said banning menthol had the potential to save hundreds of thousands of lives, particularly among Black smokers.

“There is no justifiable reason to withdraw the FDA’s proposed rule to ban menthol,” said Kelsey Romeo-Stuppy, managing attorney at Action on Smoking and Health. “Tobacco industry profits should never be prioritized over American lives, but unfortunately, that’s what has happened with the FDA withdrawing the proposed rule to ban menthol in tobacco products.”

The FDA declined to comment, pointing to a newly-ordered temporary ban on public communication.

“Closer To Disinformation”: Ex-Politico Reporters Reveal How “Cowardly Editors” Helped Biden Win 2020 Election

Two former Politico reporters revealed how “cowardly editors” at their former publication carried water for Joe Biden in the 2020 election by actively working to suppress stories that were unflattering to Biden.

“Politico did that terrible, ill-fated headline: 51 intelligence agents, or former intelligence agents, say that the Hunter Biden laptop was disinformation, or bore the hallmarks of disinformation,” said Marc Caputo, now the senior politics editor at Axios. “Turns out that story was closer to disinformation because the Hunter Biden laptop appeared to be true.”

The other ex-Politico reporter, Tara Palmeri – who interviewed Caputo on her “Somebody’s Gotta Win” podcast, recalled how social media giants colluded to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story, while Caputo noted that (pre-Musk) Twitter “punished” the New York Post for its accurate reporting – locking the outlet out of its account following a pressure campaign from the Biden DOJ.

“I was covering Biden at the time,” Caputo told Palmeri, adding: “And I was told this came from on high at Politico: Don’t write about the laptop, don’t talk about the laptop, don’t tweet about the laptop.”

Caputo added that he was working on a story about Hunter Biden’s shady dealings with Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma, which Politico editors “killed” during the 2020 Democrat primaries.

Taliban Defies Trump: Will Keep $7 Billion in Military Gear Left in Afghanistan by Joe Biden During Bungled Withdrawal

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported – Joe Biden supplied the Taliban terrorist organization and their Islamist accomplices with billions of dollars worth of US weapons, armed vehicles, helicopters, ammunition, and piles of cash after Biden bungled his withdrawal from the country.

Rather than destroying the equipment before leaving the country, Joe Biden surrendered billions of dollars worth of US military equipment to the Taliban.

In fact, Joe Biden left 300 times more guns than those passed to the Mexican cartels in Obama’s Fast and Furious program.

The Taliban later released video of the weapons Joe Biden left behind and a room full of stacks of $100 bills Joe left for good measure.

The Taliban posted videos of pallets of weapons and stacks of $100 bills they had seized.

Russian President Vladimir Putin: “2020 Election Victory Stolen” From President Trump – Acknowledges Ukraine War Never Would Have Happened Under Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin has broken his silence on the 2020 Presidential Election between President Trump and Joe Biden.  In a recent interview, Putin stated the President Trump had his victory “stolen” from him and that “perhaps the crisis in Ukraine that arose in 2022 wouldn’t have happened” if he had been re-elected.

The Russian leader also called out the previous “United States administration,” presumably Joe Biden, for refusing to “communicate” with Russia, stating that he had “business-like and pragmatic” relationship with the Trump administration before.

In a clip from an interview, Putin stated:

“I’d like to say that Russia never refused to come into contact with the United States administration and it is through no fault of ours that the previous administration refused to communicate.  I always had business-like relations with the previous US President, that were very business-like and pragmatic.  But there was trust as well.

If he had been the President, if the victory wasn’t stolen from him in 2020, maybe the Ukrainian crisis that arose in 2022 would have [appeared]”

NYC Mayor Eric Adams Claims When He Complained About Illegals to Biden Admin, He Was Told to ‘Be a Good Democrat’

New York City Mayor Eric Adams recently sat for an interview with Tucker Carlson and made some revealing statements.

Adams suggests that he believes he was targeted for investigation for speaking out about the border crisis and the problems it created for New York City.

He says that he had more than one meeting with Biden administration officials, including Joe Biden himself, and that after voicing his concerns, he was told by at least one person that he should ‘be a good Democrat.’

It just goes to show how little the Biden administration cared about this issue.

The Daily Mail has more details:

Tucker Carlson stunned as NYC mayor Eric Adams reveals the outrageous five-word warning Biden gave him

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said Joe Biden’s shocking response to his demands that the White House do something about the migrant crisis was to keep quite and ‘be a good Democrat, Eric.’

The embattled ‘sanctuary city’ mayor claimed Biden’s reaction to the crisis that has wrecked havoc on his city was just one of many reasons the Democrat Party ‘left me and it left working class people’ in an interview with Tucker Carlson.

Adams, who was indicted by Biden’s Justice Department in September on bribery, wire fraud and conspiracy charges, as well as for allegedly soliciting campaign contributions from foreign nationals, spoke of his frustration with how the saga unfolded.

‘We have Venezuelan gang leaders that were coming to the city creating crimes,’ Adams said, which led to his asking Biden for help the condescending answer he received.

Guess Who Elizabeth Warren Blamed for Biden’s Family Pardons?

Elizabeth Warren, everyone’s favorite senator from Massachusetts, appeared on CNN on Monday night to talk about, I don’t know, maybe hunting and gathering? The first Thanksgiving? How the white man drove her from her land?

But at some point, Anderson Cooper asked her about the familial pardons Joe Biden issued about 15 minutes before leaving the White House and heading off to Shady Pines or wherever they sent him.

“The last-minute pardons by then President Biden to his family members, you know there were pardons earlier this morning which were reported on, but these last-minute pardons, he chose to, I mean, make it last minute when there wouldn’t be as much attention, obviously, and they wouldn’t kind of overshadow the ride to the capitol — was that a mistake?” Cooper asked.

Initially, Warren replied with a simple statement: “The president — President Biden — should answer for himself.”

Fair enough. But she couldn’t leave it at that. Not only did she not leave it for Biden to “answer for himself,” but she also went on to blame someone else for these sneaky, last-minute pardons: Donald Trump.

Warren explained that poor Biden is just a kind-hearted old family man who had no choice but to make these pardons out of fear that Trump might try to use his sweet little family against him just because Trump doesn’t like him.

But it’s a sad day in America when someone leaving office has to look around and say, ‘Am I facing a new president and a new administration who is going to come after my family just because they’re my family, that’s gonna come after the people I love just because love them? Not because they’re accused of any crimes. Not because they’ve done anything wrong. But just because they’re the people I care about.’ And ever since Donald Trump has said a big part of his argument for being president is that it would be about retribution, it would be about vengeance — and he used it today. There he is, making his speech after he’s been inaugurated as president, and it’s still full of how he was wronged and he was the one who was mistreated. Dang, guy, you were just elected president of the United States and just sworn in. Come on, enjoy the moment. But no, it’s about how he has been mistreated and he will get even. That’s not how we run a government and make it work. This is not about personal vengeance. We run a government ot make it work for people. That’s how it’s supposed to be in a democracy.

Oh, come on, Pocahontas. I’m not even sure Cooper was buying your gaslighting. And if that’s the real reason why Biden pardoned his family members, he would have done it loudly and proudly in front of the whole nation to continue his efforts to make Trump look bad, not in some kind of hush-hush last-minute backroom kind of deal.

Even Hunter Biden was pardoned out in the open, much to the dismay of both Democrats and Republicans. Given that most of us had never even heard some of the rest of these Biden family names, the whole situation left the portion of the country with any brain cells wondering what else this corrupt family was hiding.
