Epstein files reveal deeper ties to scientists than previously known

Newly released files from the investigation of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein reveal that his ties to the scientific community were deeper than previously known.

Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019 after being arrested and charged with sex trafficking, was a wealthy financier who invested millions in science projects and socialized with researchers. It was already known that, after Epstein’s initial conviction for sex crimes in 2008, some scientists continued to associate with and take money from him, prompting fallout at top research institutions. For instance, Epstein gave US$800,000 to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, which led two scientists to resign and the university to suspend another.

But last Friday’s release of more than three million files linked to Epstein — including e-mails, photographs and financial documents — has unveiled even more scientists in his orbit. Mentions of the researchers do not indicate wrongdoing or involvement in Epstein’s criminal activity, but they do shed light on how deeply he was involved in some of the science he funded. This is the largest batch of files made public by the US Department of Justice since Congress passed the Epstein Transparency Act late last year, mandating that the federal government release all documents pertaining to the financier.

Science stars

The files include new information about interactions between Epstein and scientists whose links to him were already known. For example, the documents contain correspondence from theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss, whose science-outreach organization received $250,000 from Epstein. “I thought we agreed no comment !!!!!,” Epstein wrote in 2018, as Krauss responded to media inquiries about an investigation of sexual misconduct that led to Krauss’s ousting from Arizona State University in Tempe.

Krauss explained his interaction with Epstein in an e-mail to Nature: “I sought out advice from essentially everyone I knew when false allegations about me were circulated.” He added that he had no knowledge of the “horrendous crimes” — the sex trafficking — that Epstein was later accused of. “I was as shocked as the rest of the world when he was arrested.”

Andrew’s ex-girlfriend insists she ‘doesn’t believe Jeffrey Epstein is dead’ and that paedophile is alive in ‘Israel’

Lady Victoria Hervey told LBC’s Tom Swarbrick that she believes it’s a “possibility” that Epstein could be alive somewhere.

“I don’t even think Jeffrey Epstein’s dead anymore, to be honest,” she told Tom, who pressed the former socialite on her suggestion – and to clarify her point.

“No, I don’t,” she insisted, doubling down on her assertion that the convicted paedophile was alive – and possibly in Israel.

The paedophile’s death in 2019 has long been the source of conspiracy theories online, with many believing that he didn’t die by suicide.

Andrew continues to maintain his innocence and has long denied any of the allegations against him.

An anonymous post shared on 4Chan shortly before Epstein’s death was publicly announced claimed that he had been “switched out” and implied that he had been taken away by a “trip van”. The poster said that they were a guard at the prison.

The former prince’s ex-girlfriend refers to an email released in the latest tranche of Epstein files that names the poster and confirms that it was a prison guard.

Lady Hervey told Tom Swarbrick: “I think, just, I’d seen one of those emails, one of the ones that ended up in the files, and I think that prison guard needs to be interviewed. The one that he said he saw the bodies being switched out.”

When pressed by Tom Swarbrick on where he could be, she said: “Israel”.

Lady Hervey is named in the Epstein files 23 times.

She told Tom Swarbrick that if you weren’t named in the Epstein files, then that would be an “insult” and you were “a bit of a loser”.

CBS News Pulls ’60 Minutes’ Episode After Contributor Appears in Epstein Files

It was always presumed that the fallout from the unsealing of the Jeffrey Epstein files would hit some pretty big names.

Those presumptions turned out to be rather accurate.

Now, apart from just former first couples, CBS News’ flagship program, “60 Minutes,” has become the latest entity to be unceremoniously caught up in the Epstein scandal.

Epstein was a wealthy but disgraced sex offender who had powerful friends and allegedly ran an underage sex trafficking ring to help satiate those friends.

He died in 2019 before any definitive answers could be pulled out of him.

In lieu of those answers, however, public attention recently turned to the troves of sealed government documents related to Epstein.

That hot-button issue eventually boiled over into the Congressional “Epstein Files Transparency Act,” which mandated that the Department of Justice release all the files in a searchable and downloadable format.

The unsealing of these documents has connected some major figures to Epstein — beyond just suspicion and hearsay — such as billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates, former President Bill Clinton, and countless others.

(Much to the chagrin of his loudest critics, President Donald Trump’s association with Epstein isn’t nearly as sordid as some of the other big names mentioned.)

And now these documents have connected a new CBS News contributor to the salacious situation — over 1,700 times.

“If You Want This Fight, Let’s Have It” – Hillary Clinton Challenges Comer Ahead of Public Testimony on Epstein – Comer Responds!

Twice-failed presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton lashed out at House Oversight Chairman James Comer ahead of her public testimony on Epstein.

The Clintons caved to House Oversight Chairman James Comer and agreed to publicly testify this month in the Committee’s Epstein investigation.

Bill and Hillary Clinton agreed to testify before the Oversight Committee after Chairman James Comer moved forward in holding them in criminal contempt of Congress.

“Republicans and Democrats on the Oversight Committee have been clear: no one is above the law—and that includes the Clintons,” Comer said.

“After delaying and defying duly issued subpoenas for six months, the House Oversight Committee moved swiftly to initiate contempt of Congress proceedings in response to their non-compliance,” Comer added.

“Once it became clear that we would hold them in contempt, the Clintons completely caved and will appear for transcribed, filmed depositions this month,” Comer said.

The Clintons will testify on February 26 and 27.

“For six months, we engaged Republicans on the Oversight Committee in good faith. We told them what we know, under oath,” Hillary said on Thursday.

“They ignored all of it. They moved the goalposts and turned accountability into an exercise in distraction,” Hillary said.

DOJ Files Show Jeffrey Epstein Was Reportedly About To Cooperate With Federal Prosecutors Just Weeks Before He Was Found Dead in Jail

Epstein was going to flip?

As journalists around the world dive into the 3 million new Epstein Files documents released by the US DOJ, all sorts of stories are arising about many individuals, including the late pedophile himself.

Today we learned that Jeffrey Epstein was ‘set to potentially cooperate with the feds’ in his sex-trafficking case.

The bombshell revelation comes after it was known that his lawyers and prosecutors met just two weeks before he was found dead in jail.

The New York Post reported:

“Federal prosecutors met with lawyers for the twisted pedophile financier on July 29, 2019, when his camp, ‘in very general terms, discussed the possibility of a resolution of the case, and the possibility of the defendant’s cooperation’, according to an FBI record made public in the Epstein files last week.

The 66-year-old sex offender — whose former pals ranged from world leaders to billionaires and Hollywood powerhouses — killed himself just two weeks later, as he was locked up in a Lower Manhattan jail cell awaiting trial in the bombshell criminal case, according to authorities.”

Days before Epstein died, his lawyers quietly sat down with federal prosecutors and floated the idea of cooperation.

No specifics. Just the classic “hypothetically, if our client were to help…” kind of thing.

2 weeks later, he’s dead.

“Another document in the Epstein files references the same meeting with the feds but notes, ‘Defense counsel did not make a specific proposal, and they did not indicate what the nature of Epstein’s cooperation might be, if any’.

‘It was suggested that defense counsel contact SDNY if Epstein was prepared to accept responsibility for his conduct and/or they had a specific proposal for a resolution of this case’.”

Who entered Epstein’s jail tier the night of his death? Newly released video logs appear to contradict official accounts.

Newly released Department of Justice documents show that investigators reviewing surveillance footage from the night of Jeffrey Epstein’s death observed an orange-colored shape moving up a staircase toward the isolated, locked tier where his cell was located at approximately 10:39 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2019.

That entry in an observation log of the video from the Metropolitan Correctional Center appears to suggest something previously unreported by authorities: “A flash of orange looks to be going up the L Tier stairs — could possibly be an inmate escorted up to that Tier.”

It also appears, according to an FBI memorandum, that reviews by investigators led to disparate conclusions by the FBI and those examining the same video from the Department of Justice’s Office of Inspector General.

The FBI log describes the fuzzy image as “possibly an inmate.”

The inspector general logs it as an officer carrying orange “linen or bedding,” noting it in their final report as “an unidentified [corrections officer].”

The DOJ Office of Inspector General’s analysis of video footage describes a fuzzy orange image on the stairs leading to Epstein’s cell tier as: “it is possible someone is carrying inmate linen or bedding up the stairs.”

The View TURNS on Bill Gates as Epstein Files Close In on Tech Billionaire

Something unexpected has happened on cable TV, and it’s a sign that disaster is coming for tech billionaire Bill Gates.

In the latest tranche of the Epstein Files, emails drafted by Jeffrey Epstein suggest that Gates contracted an STD from sleeping with “Russian girls” and had planned to secretly medicate his then-wife, Melinda.

Bill has denied the allegations, but Melinda interestingly did not. Instead, she expressed “unbelievable sadness” reflecting on their marriage and Gates’ association with Epstein.

When asked about this during an interview with 9 News Australia, Bill Gates said he doesn’t know what Epstein was thinking with the email, suggesting Epstein may have been trying to “attack” him in some way.

The reporter challenged Gates on why this accusation against him wasn’t true when other Epstein file revelations were accurate.

Gates sidestepped the question and asserted his own version of events.

“It’s factually true that I was only at dinners. I never went to the island. I never met any women,” he replied.

British Police Open Investigation Into Peter Mandelson Over Sharing of Confidential Documents With Jeffrey Epstein – Former Ambassador to the US Resigns From the House of Lords

Mandelson is under heavy fire for his close ties to Epstein.

The Metropolitan Police in London has launched a criminal investigation into allegations that disgraced former British Ambassador to the US, Lord Peter Mandelson, passed ‘market-sensitive information’ to Jeffrey Epstein.

This comes as the disgraced Labour peer has been forced to resign from the House of Lords.

Daily Mail reported:

“Files released by the US Department of Justice apparently showed Lord Mandelson giving material to the pedophile financier while serving as business secretary in Gordon Brown’s Labour administration as it dealt with the 2008 financial crash and its aftermath.

The Cabinet Office had passed material to the police after an initial review of documents released as part of the so-called Epstein files found they contained ‘likely market-sensitive information’ and official handling safeguards had been ‘compromised’.”

UH-OH: Whoopi Goldberg and Other Members of ‘The View’ Are Mentioned in the Epstein Files

The ladies of The View have been harping on the Epstein Files for months. Like all other members of their party, they thought that this was an effective way to attack Trump.

But would it surprise you to find out that these same idiots are actually mentioned in the Epstein Files themselves?

Kudos to Nicholas Fondacaro of NewsBusters for digging up this incredibly funny information.

As Fondacaro reports at NewsBusters, someone named Whoopi Goldberg even reached out to Epstein for help with a flight:

Whoopi Goldberg Requested Epstein Jet Fly Her to Monaco Charity Event

A NewsBusters investigation of the Epstein Files discovered that cast members of ABC’s The View were mentioned nearly four dozen times. Despite the files being a major topic of discussion on the show, as they tried to tie President Trump to criminal activity, none of the cast members addressed their names appearing in the same files. One cast member was seemingly interested in borrowing one of Epstein’s infamous private jets.

A search of the cast members’ names on the Department of Justice website returned nearly four dozen (46) references.

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg led the way with 21 references, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin clocked in with 20, Joy Behar had three, and Ana Navarro had two. Fortunately for co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines, they weren’t mentioned at all (as of the release of the latest batch of files).

The search for references did take into account Goldberg going by just her first name, Farah Griffin’s maiden name, and Hostin’s maiden name (Cummings) and real first name (Asunción; with and without the accent mark)…

The e-mail was requesting possible use of one of Epstein’s private jets to help Goldberg attend a White Feather Foundation charity event in Monaco.

“Whoopi Goldberg needs a plane to get to Monaco. John Lennon’s Charity is paying for it. They don’t want to charter so they are looking for private owners,” the e-mail began.

How funny is this?

Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize faces fresh scrutiny after Epstein files release

Former U.S President Barack Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize has come under renewed scrutiny following the latest release of documents linked to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, reopening long‑standing questions about the credibility of the award and the conduct of those who oversaw it.

In a public post on his official X account, Kirill Dmitriev, a senior Russian official and special envoy of President Vladimir Putin, has revealed that the Nobel Peace Prize Committee was connected to elites named in the Epstein files, singling out former chairman Thorbjørn Jagland and pointing to 2014 email correspondence cited in the latest document release.

Obama’s Disputed Nobel Peace Prize

The claims support earlier criticism by U.S. President Donald Trump, who for years has argued the Nobel Peace Prize is politicised and inconsistent, frequently citing Obama’s 2009 award as premature while the U.S remained at war in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Obama’s 2009 award drew immediate global debate for timing and substance, while later prizes to China’s Liu Xiaobo in 2010 and the European Union in 2012 generated diplomatic backlash.

The pressure from these debated awards led to the demotion of Jagland from the chair while retaining him on the committee in March 2015.

No Epstein link was cited at the time.

The massive 2026 document release has also pulled in Norway’s elite beyond Jagland.
