Wisconsin School District Cancels All Classes on May 1 So Teachers Can Join Anti-ICE ‘Day Without Immigrants’ Protests

The Madison Metropolitan School District in Wisconsin has officially canceled school for all students on Friday, May 1, due to a large number of teachers planning to participate in anti-ICE protests.

In a message sent to parents and posted on the district’s website, officials announced the closure due to expected low staff turnout for the “A Day without Immigrants” event, which is part of the far-left “May Day Strong” National Day of Action.

A whopping 70 percent of the district’s staff signed on to support canceling school for the protest.

The full announcement from the Madison Metropolitan School District website read as follows:

No school Friday, May 1

Our Madison Teachers Inc. (MTI) partners recently shared that they received 70% of staff signatures supporting participation in “A Day without Immigrants” as part of the May Day Strong national day of action.

After a conversation with MTI, we understand that we may experience low staff turnout and believe this will directly affect the safety of our community due to insufficient supervision and educational support for our students.

Once we were made aware of the anticipated staff absences, we reviewed options and scenarios to best support students and families. After thoughtful discussion and collaboration, it has been determined that:

  • School will be cancelled for all students on Friday, May 1.
  • There will be no after-school care.

However, all other activities, including events and athletics, will continue as scheduled.

Democrat Rep. Raskin Uses WHCD Shooting Platform to Defend SPLC as ‘Fighting Right-Wing Extremism,’ Slams DOJ Prosecution

Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin is once again under scrutiny—this time for remarks made during a Face the Nation interview following the shocking shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Instead of focusing on the immediate facts of the attack, the suspect, or the broader security implications, Raskin quickly pivoted to a familiar political narrative: gun control and systemic “political violence.”

The response follows a pattern that has become increasingly common in Washington, where major incidents are rapidly folded into broader policy arguments before the full details are even established.

During the interview, Raskin described the chaos inside the ballroom, recounting the moment guests were forced to the ground after hearing multiple loud bangs.

The scene, by all accounts, was serious and alarming. But rather than staying focused on the event itself, Raskin used the moment to draw comparisons to school shootings and broader gun violence statistics, citing daily shooting figures across the country.

That framing immediately raises questions.

School shootings, while tragic, are statistically extremely rare compared to other forms of violence, particularly gang-related crime and illegal firearm use in major cities. Yet, they are often emphasized in political messaging because of their emotional impact.

By invoking school violence in response to an incident involving a politically motivated suspect targeting Trump Administration officials, Raskin blurred the distinction between fundamentally different types of crime.

The pivot did not stop there.

In one of the more controversial moments of the interview, Raskin turned his attention to the Department of Justice’s prosecution of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

As previously reported by The Gateway Pundit, the organization is currently facing a federal indictment alleging serious financial misconduct, including fraud and the alleged diversion of donor funds.

Rather than addressing the substance of those allegations, Raskin suggested that prosecuting the SPLC could actually contribute to political extremism. That argument is difficult to reconcile with the nature of the charges.

Federal prosecutors have outlined claims that involve years of alleged financial deception and misuse of funds—issues that would typically demand accountability regardless of political affiliation.

Barack Obama Gets ROASTED for Claiming ‘We don’t Have Details’ About Motives of WHCD Shooter After Manifesto Reveals Hatred For Trump

Barack Obama on Sunday evening released a statement on yet another assassination attempt against President Trump and his officials.

31-year-old Cole Allen stormed the lobby of the Washington Hilton on Saturday evening and opened fire at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

President Trump, First Lady Melania and other Cabinet officials were rushed out of the ballroom by Secret Service Agents.

Footage shows Cole Allen sprinting past a Secret Service checkpoint as federal agents opened fire on him.

On Sunday it was revealed that Cole Allen wrote a manifesto and expressed his hatred for “pedophile, rapist” Trump.

Cole Allen said he was specifically targeting Trump and his officials.

“Turning the other cheek is for when you yourself are oppressed. I’m not the person raped in a detention camp. I’m not the fisherman executed without trial,” Allen wrote in the manifesto.

“I’m not a schoolkid blown up, or a child starved, or a teenage girl abused by the many criminals in this administration. Turning the other cheek when *someone else* is oppressed is not Christian behavior; it is complicity in the oppressor’s crimes.”

“I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes,” Allen wrote.

Barack Obama absurdly claimed we just don’t know the motives of the shooter after his manifesto specifically detailed his hatred for Trump.

“Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night’s shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy,” Obama said.

It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay,” Obama said.

NYC Neighborhood Where 70% of People Voted for Zohran Mamdani Now Suing His Administration for Locating a Homeless Shelter There

The people of the East Village neighborhood in New York City are getting exactly what they voted for and they are not happy about it.

In fact, the people of this neighborhood, who voted for Mamdani by a margin of 70 percent, are now suing his administration because they don’t like his plan to locate a new homeless shelter there.

Have they not heard about the warmth of collectivism? Isn’t this precisely what they voted for?

From the New York Post:

East Villagers sue Mamdani to stop relocation of notorious Bellevue men’s homeless shelter into their neighborhood

Enraged East Villagers sued Mayor Zohran Mamdani in a last-gasp effort to stop the relocation of hundreds of homeless men to a new shelter in their neighborhood.

The lawsuit filed Monday seeks an emergency restraining order that would prevent the “rushed” May 1 opening of the intake shelter along Third Street.

The site was selected by City Hall as one of two intake shelters in Manhattan that would effectively replace the notorious Bellevue homeless shelter — a haven for often-dangerous vagrants that Mamdani plans to close by the end of the month.

But Mamdani and city officials not only underhandedly declared an “emergency” to close the Midtown shelter, their decision to plunk its clientele into the East Village was dangerously slapdash, the lawsuit contends.

“This case is not about the City’s decision to close the Bellevue Intake Shelter,” the Manhattan Supreme Court filing states.

“It challenges only the City’s hastily made and legally invalid decision to [locate] a new citywide homeless adult male intake center at 8 East 3rd Street without following any of the legal requirements that must precede such a significant and consequential decision.”

Democrats Mock RFK Jr.’s Neurological Disorder During Senate Hearing: ‘Like a Raccoon Being Castrated’

Sicko Democrats are ripping into Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Robert F. Kennedy Jr. because of his neurological voice disorder.

During a Senate hearing on Wednesday, RFK Jr. faced questions on topics including childhood vaccines and nutrition.

However, he could also be heard breathing loudly through his microphone.

This is a symptom of his spasmodic dysphonia, a neurological voice disorder affecting speech and breathing patterns.

He has suffered from the condition for over 30 years.

The thread was started by Aaron Ruper, a prominent left-wing social media activist, who described the noises as “absolutely horrifying.”

Democrats immediately piled on to the mockery, with Rick Wilson’s Lincoln Project comparing him to “an old pug trying to walk up steps.”

Democratic strategist Keith Edwards said it sounded like a “raccoon being castrated.”

Home Education Must Be “Equivalent” to Public School: Lawmakers

Home educators in Connecticut are officially in the government’s crosshairs. In fact, under a new bill moving through the legislature, parents will need approval from child protection services to homeschool. And they will have to prove to bureaucrats that they are providing “equivalent instruction” to that offered by the government-school system.  Only about a third of children in the state’s public schools are even “proficient” in reading or math, federal data show. Suicide, mental problems, and other issues are off the charts and rising among government-educated children, too. So, it was not immediately clear why anyone would want homeschoolers to be subjected to “equivalent instruction.”

The bill purports to require that every parent must send their child to a government school. The only exception is if the parent or guardian can “show that the child is elsewhere receiving equivalent instruction in the studies taught in the public schools,” the text of the Connecticut legislation declares.

Lawmakers lambasted the provision. “What is equivalent instruction? Is it equivalent to Prospect’s education, Bridgeport, Waterbury, Greenwich, Darien, East Haddam? I don’t know,” argued Ranking Member Rep. Lezlye Zupkus, a Republican. Democrats on the committee dismissed the concerns.

To prove that parents are giving their children “equivalent instruction,” the statute purports to require that they keep records for three years. They are also required to provide a demonstration of their child’s work to government. Ultimately, the state Department of Education will provide “guidance” regarding what all of it means.

Senator Heather Somers, also a Republican, warned this was a scheme to force homeschool families to do the same thing as government schools. “By homeschooling being evaluated and really being pushed to public school standards, this bill is pressuring families to mirror the public school system,” she explained, echoing other critics.

The demands are especially ironic considering how well homeschoolers tend to do compared to their government-schooled peers. “Every single homeschooler that I’ve had the privilege of meeting, their kids are smarter,” Sen. Somers said. “They’re graduating early from high school. Some of them are taking college courses or actually getting two years of college before they even turn 18.”

The elephant in the room — the fact that the government is horrifically failing the children already in its school system — did not escape notice. “People are withdrawing their kids, they’re quitting their jobs, because they don’t feel their kids are safe in public school,” observed Representative Tina Courpas, a Republican. “To me, that is so basic.”

Lawmakers should focus on fixing the government’s schools. “If this committee did nothing else for the next two years other than make our public school safe, that would be a big win,” the lawmaker continued. “But this bill doesn’t address that problem. Instead, it cuts off people’s options to solve a problem that this state has created for them.”

Under the new legislation that has already cleared several important hurdles, the homeschooling community in the state would also need to be cleared by Child Protective Services (CPS) to obtain permission to homeschool. The Home School Legal Defense Association says this is a major change.

“One of the most troubling aspects of the proposal is the idea that parents could need permission from a child welfare agency before teaching their own children at home,” noted Ralph Rodriguez, associate attorney for HSLDA. “That represents a significant shift in how homeschooling families are treated under the law.”

Lawmakers, too, were perplexed by the decision to get the CPS involved in approving homeschooling. “The child advocate … stated publicly yesterday to me in a hearing that she agrees the real cause of these tragic events is a catastrophic failure of the Department of Children and Families,” said Education Committee Ranking Member Sen. Eric Berthel, referring to two tragic cases in which children died despite child-welfare officials being involved.

“All of this begs the question: Why would we want DCF to be involved at all in the monitoring or regulation of homeschoolers when the agency has demonstrated they cannot handle the cases they are already monitoring?” added Sen. Berthel. Other critics suggested the bill against homeschoolers was an effort to blame innocent people for the failures of government.

Pink-haired transgender lawmaker scolded anyone who dared to use her old ‘deadname’ – now her very embarrassing secret has been revealed

Minnesota‘s first transgender lawmaker has been accruing traffic citations under her former name despite being an outspoken critic of anyone who dared to call her that, court records revealed.

Democrat Representative Leigh Finke, 44, has shamed anyone who practices ‘deadnaming,’ or referring to a transgender or non-binary person by their birth name without consent.

In one instance, she wrote on Facebook that using a trans person’s deadname is an ‘expression of hate toward transgender people.’

In 2023, she told Fox 9, ‘It’s impossible to take seriously the idea that we are speaking out of turn at a time when our rights are being taken away; our lives are being belittled, mocked, dehumanized constantly.

‘Across the nation in state legislatures, in the capitol, now in DC, we are just hearing constant misgendering, deadnaming, humiliating language.’

Finke legally changed her name and sex in July 2020, court records viewed by the Daily Mail show.

She changed her name from Christopher Leigh Finke to Leigh Dawn Finke, and her sex from male to female.

However, court records also show that Finke has received at least three traffic tickets under her ‘deadname’ between 2023 and 2025.

LIE! Dem Senator Patty Murray Says ‘I’ve Not Heard One Democrat Say Defund ICE’

Democrat Senator Patty Murray of Washington state must have been living under a rock for the last two years because she recently stood before cameras and said with a straight face that she has “not heard one Democrat say defund ICE.”

It’s just amazing how easily these people can lie. The lie and lie and lie. They lie even when they know that you know that they’re lying.

Democrats have even introduced legislation to defund ICE:

Ramirez, Clarke Unveil Legislation to Defund ICE, the Melt ICE Act

Today, Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez (IL-03), joined by Congresswoman Yvette Clarke (NY-09), introduced the Melt ICE Act to end the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) funding to detain or monitor immigrants, disrupt DHS’s immigration enforcement. At a time when working families are facing a crushing affordability crisis, the legislation would also redirect funding toward wrap-around services, including housing and healthcare, for communities affected by immigration enforcement.

The legislation comes amid a national call to rein in ICE funding and as Congress announced an appropriations bill to fund DHS that includes $3.84 billion for ICE custody operations and boosts Enforcement and Removal Operations funding to $5.45 billion.

“After handing more than $150B to DHS immigration enforcement, there are those in Congress who would further expand DHS’s budget and ICE’s capacity to enact Trump’s mass deportation agenda. But we have seen what DHS can do with its unlimited resources and unchecked power. And we are saying enough,” said Congresswoman Ramirez. “Our tax dollars must not be used to terrorize our communities and violate our rights. The Melt ICE Act is a line in the sand and a declaration that we will not fuel human suffering. I am proud to join Congresswoman Clarke and advocates to send a message that we do not consent, nor will we enable DHS and ICE’s lawlessness.”

Murray’s lie is so insulting and just so typical of Democrats.

Today, news broke that, according to Law’s lawyer, he will plead guilty to ‘counseling or aiding suicide’.

In turn, Canadian prosecutors will withdraw no less than 14 murder charges filed against him.

Associated Press reported:

“’The plea will be to the charges of aiding suicide’, [lawyer Matthew Gourlay] said in an email. […] Law’s case is scheduled to return to a Newmarket, Ontario, court on Monday afternoon. Calls to Ontario’s Ministry of the Attorney General weren’t immediately answered.

New California Gubernatorial Frontrunner Caught in a Major Hypocrisy as He Releases This Outrageous Immigration Platform

The frontrunner to be California’s next governor has perhaps released the nation’s most radical immigration platform, but is not practicing what he preaches.

Radical billionaire and Democrat donor Tom Steyer, who launched a short-lived run for president in 2020, has now emerged as the person to beat after Eric Swalwell dropped out of the race due to major sexual assault allegations Steyer has already burned through over $100 million to buy the election.

On Tuesday, Steyer released an immigration platform so far to the left that he almost makes Gavin Newsom look like President Trump on the issue.

Not only does he want to abolish ICE completely and throw agents in jail, but he also wants to ensure California taxpayers pay for every dime to support legal representation for illegals.

Steyer is even vowing to ignore a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling in favor of ICE. And people have the gall to call Trump a tyrant?

Read Steyer’s immigration platform and weep:

– Abolish ICE – Put ICE agents in jail & “treat them like the mob”.

– Bring those “kidnapped & detained by ICE back home.” – Give CA AG power to imprison ICE agents & their leadership.

– Taxpayer-funded legal representation & support for illegal aliens.

– Ignore a SCOTUS ruling that allows ICE to utilize race, language, job, and location to contribute to “reasonable suspicion” for immigration arrests, and instead, “California should take matters into our own hands and extend legal protections to its residents, despite the federal government’s failure.”
