Farmer and Doctor Agree: Poultry Mass Destruction Must Stop

Here is some background on Salatin and the “Polyface Story”

In 1961, William and Lucille Salatin moved their young family to Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, purchasing the most worn-out, eroded, abused farm in the area near Staunton. Using nature as a pattern, they and their children began the healing and innovation that now supports three generations. Disregarding conventional wisdom, the Salatins planted trees, built huge compost piles, dug ponds, moved cows daily with portable electric fencing, and invented portable sheltering systems to produce all their animals on perennial prairie polycultures.

Today the farm arguably represents America’s premier non-industrial food production oasis. Believing that the Creator’s design is still the best pattern for the biological world, the Salatin family invites like-minded folks to join in the farm’s mission: to develop emotionally, economically, environmentally enhancing agricultural enterprises and facilitate their duplication throughout the world. The Salatins continue to refine their models to push environmentally-friendly farming practices toward new levels of expertise.

Gornoski does a masterful job framing the issues. Salatin believes we should let a natural immunity strategy play out and only cull the sick birds. I can tell you as a doctor, The Wellness Company did not wait for the government agencies to step in and protect farmers like Salatin. We announced the Prevent and Protect Program to supply our critical poultry and egg suppliers with bird flu kits which will help keep the workers safe as they allow flocks to develop natural immunity.

Why the Egg Industry Is Pushing for a Bird Flu Vaccine

The decision is complex because vaccination would instantly cut off more than half of the United States’ poultry exports due to trade provisions that forbid vaccination.

Even before any vaccine is approved, government officials are talking to international partners to soften the blow on the U.S. chicken export business in the eventuality that the United States deploys a vaccine.

Bird flu and the culling measures taken to attempt to stop its spread have wiped out 166 million birds in the United States since the current outbreak began in February 2022. This has driven up egg prices and triggered isolated shortages around the nation.

Over the past decade, the United States has faced two large outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza, or bird flu. The first outbreak, which occurred over the winter of 2014–15, hit the egg and turkey industries hard but was halted through the culling of sick birds, movement controls, and strict biosecurity measures.

The current bird flu outbreak has continued almost nonstop since February 2022 and the old strategy has so far failed to break the tide of the infection. As a result, both producers and regulators are considering a vaccine as a solution, even though it could cause extensive damage to the lucrative chicken export business.

Vaccination on the Table

The crisis has drawn the attention of the White House. During an address to a joint session of Congress on March 4, President Donald Trump said the price of eggs was “out of control” and called on his Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, to “do a good job” of handling the issue.

Rollins announced the first step in carrying out that objective on Feb. 26. Along with committing as much as $1 billion to fight bird flu and drive down egg prices, Rollins announced the USDA will be taking the extraordinary step of exploring “vaccines, therapeutics, and other innovative solutions to minimize depopulation of egg-laying chickens.”

Using a vaccine is a tricky subject in the poultry world because of the significant potential international trade impacts.

Greg Tyler, the president and CEO of the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council, told The Epoch Times that if the United States started vaccinating today, as much as $3 billion worth of the country’s $5.8 billion poultry export market could be instantly closed off.

A senior USDA official who spoke with The Epoch Times confirmed that the agency considers vaccination an option to fight bird flu but it hasn’t made any final decisions and won’t rush to make any.

Rollins, the official said, understands the complexity of the issue and will consult with all parties in state governments, the agriculture industry, and the international trade community before making any decision.

The official said Rollins understands that vaccination is not the only solution to the country’s bird flu problem and may well not be the best possible solution. Logistically, the official said, vaccinating birds would be difficult as the technology does not yet exist for a dose to be administered without physically injecting birds.

The USDA has not yet approved any bird flu vaccine for use in the United States.

Tyler said he’s aware of a governmental effort to present a vaccination plan to the U.S.’s major trading partners to solicit each country’s feedback and, therefore, minimize trade impacts. Previously, he said, government officials were rushing to vaccination as a “quick fix” to drop egg prices. Still, he said the education offered by the poultry industry and elected officials from states with a significant poultry industry led to a more measured approach surrounding vaccination.

Ultimately, Tyler said the U.S. poultry industry wants to move ahead with vaccination if it helps the domestic egg industry, but a solution that doesn’t interfere with the massive U.S. export business needs to be found.

Bird Flu Scam: Neither Canada nor Mexico Have Killed a Single Chicken Because Bird Flu Apparently Does Not Cross Borders

Beware of the Chicken Flu, also known as “Bird Flu,” that only happens in America because the chickens don’t have passports to travel to Canada or Mexico. No worries about the USDA or FDA visiting your chicken farm in those countries to kill off all your chickens that might have gain-of-function Fauci Chicken Flu, because it’s just an American thing right now. The Biden Regime somehow still has influence over the poultry industrial complex, and his cronies at the CDC are still pushing the sheeple to get jacked up with some neuro-destroying dirty jabs for “Bird Flu.”

It was all about decimating the food supply and driving egg prices through the roof, while fearmongering about another pandemic while injecting the masses with toxic chemicals that cause infertility, blood clots, and turbo cancer. Got questions about Bird Flu? Fake news has answers for you.

Oh yes. NBC fearmongering news would have us all believe that the only way to stop bird flu is to kill off all the diseased birds. Got to “wrangle in” that plandemic, just like Covid. Put all the birds on lockdown and mask them up ‘til we can flatten out the curve, right Fauci?

Yes, according to “federal policy,” when a bird flu “outbreak” is identified, ALL the birds must be culled. Same goes for humans, but with humans, when an “outbreak” of a lab-made virus is identified, all humans must be “culled” using mRNA jabs, kidney-killing Remdesivir, and death-in-4-days ventilators.

RFK Jr. Warns Against Vaccinating Chickens For Bird Flu

U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. advised against providing vaccines to poultry amid a bird flu outbreak that has caused a steep increase in egg prices in recent months.

In an interview with Fox News on March 11, Kennedy said his primary concern with providing shots to egg-laying chickens is that the vaccine doesn’t provide complete protection against avian influenza.

“All of my agencies advise against vaccination of birds because if you vaccinate with a leaky vaccine—in other words, a vaccine that does not provide sterilizing immunity, that does not absolutely protect against the disease—you turn those flocks into mutation factories,” he said in the interview.

It is “much more likely” to jump to other animals at that point, Kennedy said, adding that officials with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institutes of Health, and Food and Drug Administration advised against vaccinating birds.

It’s dangerous for human beings to vaccinate the birds,” he said.

Since an outbreak of bird flu in the United States started in 2022, millions of egg-laying hens have been culled to prevent the spread of the virus. Egg prices have skyrocketed as a result, increasing to $4.95 per dozen on average in January 2025, according to recent data.

“We’ve killed 166 million chickens. That’s why we have an egg crisis,” Kennedy told Fox’s Sean Hannity, adding that bird flu is not transmissible via eggs or food.

“Most of our scientists are against the culling operation. They think that we should be testing therapeutics on those flocks. They should isolate. You should let the disease go with them and identify the birds that survive, which are the birds that probably have a genetic inclination for immunity.”

The price for a dozen had consistently been about $2 for decades before the disease struck. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) said recently that it expects egg prices to rise by 41 percent in 2025.

But the USDA reported last week that egg shortages are easing and wholesale prices are dropping, which might provide relief on the retail side before this year’s late Easter, which is three weeks later than last year’s. It said there had been no major bird flu outbreak for two weeks.

Shoppers have begun to see shell egg offerings … becoming more reliable although retail price levels have yet to adjust and remain off-putting to many,” the agency wrote in a March 7 report.

As for bird flu spreading to people, the CDC has said the risk to the public remains low.

US Scours World For Egg Supplies After Biden’s “Insane Slaughter Of 150 Million Chickens”

The Biden-Harris regime’s questionable handling of the nation’s food supply chain—leading to the culling of 150 million egg-laying chickens amid the avian flu crisis—has led to nationwide supply disruptions and record-high egg prices. There were no visible countermeasures Biden officials put in place to offset the loss of domestic production, and the out-of-control culling only created an epic disaster for consumers. Now, the Trump administration is left to manage the fallout, scrambling to secure global egg supplies in an urgent effort to stabilize prices.

On Thursday, Elon Musk wrote on X, “It’s true. There was an insane slaughter of 150 million egg-laying chickens ordered by the Biden administration.”

The mass culling of chickens infected with avian flu—or at least what the prior administration claimed—was part of the USDA’s “stamping-out policy.” Whether depopulating entire commercial flocks was the right approach remains to be seen.

According to Kevin Hassett, director of the National Economic Council, the previous administration’s approach was simply “to just, you know, kill chickens.”

Speaking to CBS last month, Hassett stated, “They spent billions of dollars randomly killing chickens within a perimeter where they found a sick chicken.”

On Tuesday night, Trump told a joint session of Congress that “Joe Biden especially let the price of eggs get out of control. The egg price is out of control. And we’re working hard to get it back down.”

Trump Administration Considers Pulling Taxpayer Funds for Moderna’s Bird Flu Shot

The Trump administration is reportedly reconsidering the $590 million contract the Biden administration awarded to drug giant Moderna for an mRNA bird flu shot.

An initial report of the news at Bloomberg was critical of the move and referred to Moderna as being “known for its highly successful Covid-19 shot.”

“Robert F. Kennedy Jr., now President Donald Trump’s top health official, has been a vaccine skeptic and openly criticized Covid-19 shots,” the Bloomberg report stated. “In 2021, during the height of the pandemic, Kennedy called them ‘the deadliest vaccine ever made.’ According to the US National Institutes of Health, which now answers to Kennedy, Covid vaccines saved tens of millions of lives during the pandemic.”

The Wall Street Journal reported today that, in the wake of the news of the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) review of the Biden move to fund its mRNA shot, Moderna shares fell 3%. Reuters reported the pharmaceutical company’s shares “fell 5.5% in after-market trading.”

Professor Lockdown Ferguson returns. This time to “predict” the spread of bird flu in US cattle

Yesterday, Dr. Tom Jefferson and Professor Carl Heneghan highlighted two papers.  One is a pre-print (not peer-reviewed) paper published on 28 January 2025 and the other is a paper published in 2001:

The authors of the 2025 pre-print paper on bird flu wrote, “Our model suggests that dairy herd outbreaks [of H5N1 avian influenza] will continue to be a significant public health challenge in 2025 and that more urgent, farm-focused, biosecurity interventions and targeted surveillance schemes are sorely needed.”

What is notable about the two papers above is that Professor Lockdown, also known as Neil Ferguson, was one of the authors of both.  For those who may need reminding, who is Neil Ferguson?

Professor Neil Ferguson is an epidemiologist whose mathematical modelling of pandemics predicted huge death rates.

In 2001, as foot and mouth disease (FMD) broke out in parts of Britain, Ferguson and his team at Imperial College produced predictive modelling which was later criticised as “not fit for purpose.” At the time, however, it proved highly influential and helped to persuade Tony Blair’s government to carry out a widespread pre-emptive culling which ultimately led to the deaths of more than six million cattle, sheep and pigs. The cost to the economy was later estimated at £10 billion.

Separately, Ferguson predicted that up to 150,000 people could die from bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE, “mad cow disease”) and its equivalent in sheep if it made the leap to humans. Per 2020, there have been fewer than 200 deaths from the human form of BSE and none from sheep to human transmission. The result was an EU ban on British beef exports; and the eventual killing and incineration of over 3.7 million cattle.

In 2005, Ferguson claimed that up to 200 million people would be killed by bird flu or H5N1. By early 2006, the WHO had only linked 78 deaths to the virus, out of 147 reported cases.Neil Ferguson, Wikispooks

Ferguson’s involvement in dodgy modelling doesn’t stop there.  As Wikispooks notes, “In 2009, Ferguson and his team at Imperial College advised the government that Swine flu (H1N1) would probably kill 65,000 people in the UK. He was also one of 16 experts for the emergency committee of the WHO which recommended the declaration of the swine flu pandemic. At the time he declared consultancy fees from GlaxoSmithKline, Baxter and Roche. In the end, swine flu claimed the lives of 457 people in the UK.”

The swine flu event was a falsified pandemic declared by the World Health Organisation in June 2009.  The swine flu fraud was uncovered and exposed by Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg, a German pulmonologist, physician, epidemiologist and public health expert, who at the time of the 2009 swine flu “pandemic” was a Member of the European Parliament.  In 2010, Channel 4 aired an expose calling the swine flu “pandemic” one of the greatest medical scandals of the century.

Bird Flu Is a Rerun of the Covid Playbook

Bird flu can be very confusing. This is true because, as is so often the case with our government, those who claim to be trying to solve the problem – our so-called “public health” and “pandemic preparedness” “experts” – are actually the ones who created the problem. What is worse, they are actively seeking to perpetuate it.

In this brief article, my goal is to explain what is happening with H5N1 Bird flu in the clearest, most fundamental terms. I hope to make it so clear that all our elected officials can understand what is going on, and therefore can take action to stop it.

The key to understanding the current Bird flu panic is this: Bird flu is a complete rerun of the Covid script. There is just one twist:

Last time, with Covid, the pandemic-planning bioterrorists directly blackmailed us by taking away our civil rights, in order to coerce us to accept their unsafe and ineffective vaccines.

This time, with Bird flu, the pandemic planning bioterrorists are indirectly blackmailing us by targeting our food, in order to coerce us to accept more of their unsafe and ineffective vaccines into our food supply and those who supply it.

Here is their playbook. Learn it, and you can understand how to put an end to it.

Grocery Chains Ration Eggs After Mass Chicken Slaughter For Bird Flu

The Democrats have been running the “what about egg prices?” line of attack against Trump hot and heavy lately, making the argument that egg prices are still astronomical and growing despite Trump promising to bring them down and having a full three weeks to reverse five years of economic sabotage by his predecessor.

What they conveniently leave out of the egg price narrative is that the Public Health™ authorities have been busy slaughtering poultry by the hundreds of millions for at least three years now.

Via CBS News (emphasis added):

Whether it’s ducks or chickens, since the current strain of bird flu, H5N1, reached the United States in 2022, over 148 million birds have been ordered euthanized

“It’s a staggering number, there is no doubt,” said Jodie Guest, a professor of epidemiology with Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta. “But it is, and always has been a policy across administrations, with the USDA, that this is how they handle infections like this among poultry. And as we’ve seen bird flu move [across] species, it becomes even more important to try to contain that infection in the flocks that it’s in, so that we don’t continue to see spread.”

Now major grocers have begun limiting egg purchases due to these shortages.

Look at the deceptive framing by even allegedly conservative Fox Business.

Via Fox Business (emphasis added):

Costco, Kroger and Whole Foods are among the growing list of grocers that are putting a purchasing limit on eggs as supply shortages persist

Companies started imposing limits on the product as the shortage caused by outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI)*, or bird flu, persists, causing a frenzy among shoppers. Droves of viral videos have surfaced in recent weeks, showing shoppers stockpiling eggs. One video posted on TikTok claimed that an entire section of eggs at a Costco was gone in less than 10 minutes.

Amazon-owned Whole Foods posted signs on its shelves notifying customers that customers can only buy three cartons of eggs at one time

“We are currently experiencing difficulty sourcing eggs that meet our strict animal welfare standards,” a sign posted at one of its stores in New York City read.

*It wasn’t bird flu that killed hundreds of millions of chickens — it was the Public Health™ response to the alleged bird flu positives (scared up through inaccurate and often fraudulent PCR testing). This is the exact same scam they ran with COVID: lock everyone down, destroy the economy and society, and blame a virus instead of draconian government policy.

A Hitchhiker’s Guide to Bird Flu

Here we go again.

There has been a certain amount of news around about an outbreak of an H5N1 influenza. It’s gotten the name “bird flu” because it’s widespread in wild birds, and it’s been running wild through domestic chickens. You may have noticed egg prices. They’re not dying because the bird flu is killing them. Instead the Department of Agriculture is killing them so the bird flu won’t kill them, leading to almost 140 million birds being culled in the last year.

So, failing any other message from this article, let me say:

DON’T PANIC

(Seriously, is there a friendlier font than Comic Sans?)

Of course, not everyone has taken that advice. Governor Gavin Newsom in California has already declared an emergency, and FACT, a humane farming advocacy group, says we need “urgent action to prevent a public health crisis“.

So what is this all about?

This bird flu, or more formally avian flu, is an H5N1 influenza virus. The “H5N1” refers to specific surface proteins that affect how the virus can invade and infect cells. (Grok has a nice summary.) Basically it’s like telling you a person has blue eyes and brown hair — it’s just a description of the virus and how it interacts.
What we do know is that this particular variant of the H5N1 virus subtype — I’m just going to call it H5N1 from now on — primarily infects birds. Now a whole lot of my reporting on Covid in 2020 actually applies here, so I’m going to link you back for the details, but the high points are:

  • it’s an influenza virus. It’s the flu.
  • it’s reasonably transmissible, with an R0 of about 2.8 — worse than most flu but similar to the 1918 “Spanish” flu, comparable to Covid, not nearly as transmissible as polio or measles. (You can look back at this article for a more complete description, but basically Ris how many people are likely to catch a virus from one subject with the virus.)
