N.Y. Gov. Hochul humbled in sanctuary debate

Rep. Elise Stefanik took the sanctuary debate straight to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Thursday, leaving the Democrat struggling for answers over why illegal immigrants were running loose in communities to commit horrific crimes.

Ms. Stefanik ticked off appalling cases, including the rape of a 5-year-old, the rape of a 15-year-old and a sleeping woman lit on fire and burned alive in the subway — all of which were perpetrated by migrants shielded by sanctuary laws, the New York Republican said.

Ms. Hochul said she didn’t recall any of the cases — “I’m not familiar at this moment” — though she denounced the crimes themselves.

“These crimes are horrific,” she said. “In all of these cases, we would work with ICE to remove them.”

The exchange came during a hearing before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee with governors whose states have sanctuary policies.

One of the New York cases involved Raymond Rojas Basilio, an illegal immigrant set free by local authorities after serving a child molestation sentence.

Another involved a migrant accused of sneaking up on the sleeping woman and lighting her afire, killing her.

“ICE was told not to detain this individual, and he burned a woman alive on the subway, in Kathy Hochul’s New York,” Ms. Stefanik said.

Danish Scientist Bribed by Dr. Fauci to Say COVID Did NOT Come From a Wuhan Lab May Flee the Country Before He Is Called to Testify in DOJ Investigation

Attorneys inside the Bondi Justice Department have launched inquiries into one of the Centers for Research in Emerging Infectious Diseases or “CREID grants awarded to Scripps Research Institute scientist Kristian Andersen, by Tony Fauci in 2020.

Anderson is now in the process of fleeing the United States for a position being created for him at the University of Oslo before too many eyes are pointing in his direction.

Dr. Kristian Anderson should be worried.

In 2020, Dr. Tony Fauci bribed Anderson to change his position on the COVID lab leak as the origin of the pandemic. After his call with Dr. Fauci on February 1, 2020, Dr. Anderson was given a $1.88 million grant and $16.5 million in funding from NIAID, Dr. Fauci’s personal piggy bank.

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier in 2023 and 2024…

On January 31, 2020, Danish-born and British-educated scientist Kristian Andersen emailed Dr. Tony Fauci, saying the virus looked lab-made.

According to the email (emphasis added):

“[O]ne has to look really closely at all the sequences to see that some of the features (potentially) look engineered . . . . Eddie [Holmes], Bob [Garry], Mike [Ferguson] and myself all find the genome inconsistent with evolutionary theory.”

Conservative watchdog Judicial Watch sours on Patel, Bongino: ‘Hostages of the Deep State’

Formerly conservative heavyweights FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino are rapidly losing the confidence of at least one member of the MAGA movement, with watchdog group Judicial Watch alleging this week they have failed to deliver enough transparency on prior scandals.

In an investigative bulletin from the organization, Judicial Watch reporters highlighted their prior support for the pair, but lamented that the pair appeared to have been swept up by bureau norms.

“These days, as well, conservative insiders are alarmed by mounting signs that Patel and Bongino have been taken hostage by the Deep State consensus and are failing to bring meaningful change to the FBI,” they wrote.

FBI and DOJ officials dispute the portrayal, telling Just the News the FBI has produced tens of thousands of pages to DOJ and Congress since Patel and Bongino started on scandals ranging from Russia collusion to the JFK assassination. The officials said the documents get a secondary review at DOJ to determine which are supposed to be sent to Congress because of prior unanswered document requests and subpoenas and then are released to the public.

Officials said major public releases from DOJ from the files FBI scoured in recent weeks are due this summer, including some still this month.

Judicial Watch also took issue with Patel’s appointment of Steven Jensen, a leader of the Jan. 6 investigations, to lead the Washington Field Office.

Democrat Governors Are Rolling Back State-Funded Healthcare for Illegal Aliens – Why is the Left Not Protesting Them?

Some liberal Democrat governors are starting to roll back state (taxpayer) funded healthcare for people who are in the country illegally. Why is the left not protesting them? Could it be simply because the left gives Democrats a pass? Do they even know this is happening?

Under Gavin Newsom in California, the state is so broke that they are being forced to do this because there’s simply no money for it and the program came in costing billions of dollars more than people were told.

The same thing is now happening in Minnesota under Tim Walz and Illinois under JB Pritzker, all far left Democrats.

NBC News reports:

Democratic governors seek to roll back state-funded health care for undocumented immigrants

A trio of states with Democratic governors viewed as potential 2028 presidential candidates have taken steps in recent weeks to freeze or cut government-funded health care coverage for undocumented immigrants.

Democratic Govs. Gavin Newsom of California, JB Pritzker of Illinois and Tim Walz of Minnesota have largely attributed the proposals to budget shortfalls stemming from original plans to expand health care to immigrants without legal status.

But the moves also occur against the backdrop of broader debate within the Democratic Party over how to handle immigration, an issue that dragged it down in the last election and that President Donald Trump and the GOP have continued to try to capitalize on…

The latest development came in Minnesota on Tuesday, after both chambers of the Legislature passed a bill to end state-funded health care for undocumented adults…

Newsom’s plan in his 2025-26 budget has called for freezing enrollment for undocumented adults to receive the full scope of the state’s Medicaid program, known as Medi-Cal…

Don’t Give Obama Credit For Cooking The Books To Inflate Deportations

Amid riots in Los Angeles and other cities nationwide against immigration enforcement, some have revived the old talking point that former President Barack Obama was the “Deporter-in-Chief.” The implication is if mass deportations under Obama didn’t spark outrage, why the fury now? But the claim gives credit to Obama where credit simply is not due. Obama didn’t preside over an unprecedented crackdown on illegal immigration — he redefined deportation statistics to make it look that way.

Back in 2014, the National Council of La Raza labeled Obama “deporter-in-chief.” The label has stuck around for years, with ABC News declaring in 2016 that “Obama Has Deported More People Than Any Other President” and NPR stating “Obama Leaves Office As ‘Deporter-In-Chief’” in 2017.

Even conservatives have peddled the label in a bid to undermine the left’s opposition to Trump’s deportation plan.

“Throwback to 2014: Obama was crowned ‘Deporter-in-Chief’ for kicking out record numbers of illegal immigrants. No riots. No street chaos. No cries of ‘authoritarianism.’ Just crickets and quiet headlines. But now that Trump is enforcing the law? Suddenly the left is staging ‘spontaneous’ protests nationwide,” Texas Rep. Wesley Hunt said in a post on X.

But the label was untrue.

New Leftist Talking Point: Don’t Believe Riot Videos, It’s The Algorithms!

A new leftist directive has dropped. It’s essentially this… You might see some rioty looty kind of videos out of LA and now other cities across the US, but that’s doesn’t mean there’s lawlessness, because it’s the algorithms… or something.

So far from the legacy media we’ve been told what look like chaotic anarchic riots are actually ‘mostly peaceful’, ‘fun’, ‘joyful’, ‘pretty quiet’, ‘relatively mellow’, ‘celebratory’ and all about ‘hope and community’.

We’ve also been told that the riots, sorry, relatively mellow gatherings don’t really matter because they’re concentrated on areas where metropolitan elites don’t ever visit.

Now, NBC News Correspondent Gadi Schwartz has claimed that what people are actually seeing “depends on what your feed is putting in front of your face, a lot of it is algorithmically-controlled.”

Oh. We thought we saw mass looting, but maybe that’s just the algorithm?

Schwartz further suggested that “people are seeing what looks like lawlessness around places in Los Angeles.”

Yes. Yes it does.

Is it not that then?

Schwartz continued, “Here we saw protests that were sizable, yesterday. Today, there’s almost no one here, and yet, on the 101, we just saw some protesters shut things down.”

Ukrainian attacks on Russian planes ‘Western’ intel op – Jeffrey Sachs

Ukraine’s drone strikes on Russian military airfields earlier this month were a “Western intelligence operation” orchestrated by the CIA and MI6, American public policy analyst Jeffrey Sachs has claimed.

In an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson released on Wednesday, Sachs accused Western intelligence services of covertly working to undermine peace efforts aimed at resolving the Ukraine conflict, acting on orders from the US “deep state.”

On June 1, Ukrainian drones struck several Russian airbases in a coordinated assault across five regions – from Murmansk in the north to Irkutsk in Siberia – which Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky later called Operation Spider’s Web.

Kiev claimed that around 40 Russian military aircraft were damaged or destroyed, including long-range bombers. Moscow has dismissed the numbers and extent of damage, saying some of the aircraft were damaged, but that it was minimal and will be repaired. It added that most of the drones were intercepted.

Russia Won’t End Ukraine War Until NATO Pulls Forces Out Of Eastern Flank

A top Kremlin official was quoted in Newsweek this week warning that Russia won’t end the Ukraine war until NATO pulls its troops out of the Baltic and ‘eastern flank’ states.

Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov demanded that NATO must withdraw its troops from the Baltic region. Russia has long seen the Baltics as very near, and its sphere of influence, also given its territory of of Kaliningrad.

“The American side requires practical steps aimed at eliminating the root causes of the fundamental contradictions between us in the area of security,” he had said, originally in state TASS.

“Among these causes, NATO expansion is in the foreground,” he emphasized. “Without resolving this fundamental and most acute problem for us, it is simply impossible to resolve the current conflict in the Euro-Atlantic region.”

NATO’s ‘eastern flank’ closer to the start of the Ukraine war – forces have since grown…

“Given the nature and genesis of the Ukrainian crisis, provoked by the previous U.S. authorities and the West as a whole, this conflict naturally acts, well, if you like, as a test, a trial, which checks the seriousness of Washington’s intentions to straighten out our relations,” he said.

Ryabkov said Moscow’s position all along has been that the Western military alliance “not deploy strike weapons near Russian border.”

“In any case, reducing NATO’s Eastern European contingent would likely boost the security of the whole continent,” he concluded.

Such a broader ultimatum was actually issued just before the full-scale invasion, but was not heeded. In fact, countries like Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania have only grown more hawkish and vocal in their anti-Moscow rhetoric, and have even taken legal action against the Russian Orthodox Church in the Baltics.

A very provocative and sensational alert issued by German intelligence…

ICE advances sole source deal with Palantir for new surveillance backbone

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is preparing to move forward with a sole-source contract to Palantir Technologies for the development of the next generation of its Investigative Case Management (ICM) system, which includes biometrics for migrant identification.

The ICM is essential to ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), where it serves as the primary software environment for managing case files, exchanging intelligence, tracking investigative data across multiple agencies, and tracking people. It is intertwined with ICE’s controversial Immigration Lifecycle Operating System, ImmigrationOS, which was also developed by Palantir, much to the consternation of privacy and civil rights advocates. Palantir was co-founded by Trump supporter and Elon Musk pal Peter Thiel.

Designed to serve as the backbone of HSI’s investigative operations, ICM allows agents and analysts to create, track, and manage criminal investigations across a broad range of activities, including human trafficking, transnational crime, cybercrime, narcotics, financial offenses, and immigration violations.

ICM facilitates the documentation and organization of investigative case files, evidence, intelligence reports, and inter-agency communications, and supports advanced data analytics, link analysis, and cross-referencing of individuals, entities, locations, and events. Critically, ICM also integrates with other federal law enforcement systems, providing a shared investigative ecosystem where information can be securely accessed and disseminated across agencies in real time.

ICE describes ICM as a core operational tool that enhances decision-making, helps deconflict investigations, and enables collaboration within and beyond DHS. It is also used to generate and manage legal documents, manage leads and tips, and ensure proper chain-of-custody and evidentiary protocols for prosecutions.

ICE’s decision to pursue Palantir as its exclusive vendor was revealed in its “sources sought” notice released by ICE’s Office of Acquisition Management in collaboration with the Information Technology Division (ITD) and HSI. The notice, which invites feedback from industry stakeholders through June 20, emphasizes that ICE has already determined that Palantir is uniquely positioned to meet the agency’s technical, operational, and security needs.

This move follows several years of procurement planning and vendor evaluation, including an industry day held in June 2023 and a formal Request for Information in July 2024. More than fifty responses were received, and multiple commercial-off-the-shelf technology demonstrations were conducted. Despite the variety of participants, ICE ultimately concluded that only Palantir could meet the high-performance, high-security, and integration standards necessary to deploy the next iteration of ICM by its critical September 2026 deadline.

“Another Reason To Leave”: Top Maryland Power Official Warns Of Regular Rolling Blackouts

Democratic lawmakers in Annapolis—more focused on Marxist reparations schemes to fleece taxpayers, taxing the hell out of Marylanders, having margaritas with migrants, diverting public funds to illegal aliens, pushing radical woke agendas, attempting to install condom machines in elementary schools, and focusing on de-growth policies to neuter the state’s power grid—have finally done it.

Their chronic mismanagement, with far-left Governor Wes Moore at the helm, has steered Maryland straight into a power crisis, like the Titanic blindly drifting through an iceberg minefield. The state’s fragile grid is now teetering on the edge of crisis, paving the way for ‘net-zero‘ blackouts that could soon rival those seen in Spain or California.

A top official at Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE), a local utility with 1.3 million electric customers and 700,000 natural gas customers, warned that rolling power blackouts could soon become a regular feature in the state due to a rapidly alarming mismatch between total power capacity on the grid and soaring demand.

As per The Baltimore Sun:

Regular rolling blackouts could become reality for Baltimore-area residents if a lack of energy supplied to the power grid remains unaddressed, Baltimore Gas and Electric Company Vice President Electric Operations Steven Singh warned.

BGE has worked during the last two decades to lessen the number of short-term loads shed events, Singh said, but rolling blackouts — during which power is disconnected from some segments of the community when the grid remains viable — could be implemented if power demand continues to exceed supply.

“It’s a huge concern,” Singh said. “It’s a clear and present issue.”

At a recent round table at the University of Maryland … We have a supply and demand issue.”

Singh also shared larger concerns with energy shortages that may result as the energy transition away from coal-fired power plants continues, and electric vehicle ownership grows. He said one factor that impacts the region is an increase in data centers — reliant on huge, power-hungry server infrastructure.
