Senate Sergeant-At-Arms During Jan. 6 Found Dead; Had Suggested ‘Professional Agitators’ Were To Blame

The man who served as sergeant-at-arms for the U.S. Senate during the January 6 riot and later suggested that “professional agitators” might be to blame for the incident has been found dead, according to reports

Michael Stenger’s death comes amid the House of Representatives’ investigation of the riot at the U.S. Capitol last year. No cause of death was given for Stenger, a 35-year veteran of the Secret Service and a former U.S. Marine.

“Fox confirms that Michael Stenger, the Senate Sergeant at Arms who was in charge of Senate security the day of the Capitol riot, has died,” tweeted Fox News Channel’s Chad Pergram.

Despite a lack of details, speculation swirled on social media, in part due to Stenger’s proximity to the ongoing probe. Stenger, 71, was faulted along with former U.S. Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund in a report by the Senate Rules Committee for not requesting aid from the National Guard. Soon-to-be-Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) vowed to fire Stenger, who had held the post since 2018, if he was not ousted by January 20, 2021.

Then-Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) “requested and received the resignation” of Stenger on Jan. 7, 2021.

FBI Raids Home of Retired Texas Couple Who Attended Jan. 6 Capitol Rally

A retired Texas couple said FBI agents busted through the gate of their rural home, threw flashbangs, handcuffed them, and trained lasers on them before searching their home for evidence connected to the Jan. 6 breach of the Capitol.

Lora DeWolfe and Darrel Kennemer, who live on seven acres near San Marcos, Texas, told The Epoch Times they attended the Jan. 6 rally at the Capitol but did nothing wrong. They believe the FBI mistakenly identified Kennemer as someone else.

The FBI didn’t arrest them, they said. Agents eventually produced a search warrant saying Kennemer was suspected of “assaulting, resisting or impeding” officers and “entering restricted building or grounds.”

Both said they went no further than the Capitol steps on Jan. 6 and did not harm anyone or damage anything. They said the allegation of assault was false, and the FBI kept showing Kennemer a blurry photo of a man who looked similar but wasn’t Kennemer.

“I vacillate between feeling mad and helpless,” DeWolfe said. “I was really sad. We just wanted an honest election.”

“They’re corrupt, and they’re trying to scare us,” Kennemer said, adding he feels the FBI targeted him for just being at the rally.

Police Report Proves Plainclothes Electronic Surveillance Unit Members Were Embedded Among Jan. 6 Protesters

While there is growing speculation that federal agents and Capitol Police were involved in instigating acts of violence during the Jan. 6, 2021 protests and recording responses for the purposes of entrapment, evidence now proves that “plainclothes” members of a special Electronic Surveillance Unit (ESU) were embedded among the protesters for the purposes of conducting video surveillance. Evidence also points to a day of security deficiencies and police provocation for the purpose of entrapment.

According to a report—First Amendment Demonstrations, issued Jan. 3, 2021, by Chief of Police Robert Contee of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), Homeland Security Bureau, Special Operations Division, obtained exclusively by The Epoch Times—the MPD began to activate Civil Disturbance Unit (CDU) platoons on Jan. 4, 2021. Full activation of 28 platoons was scheduled to occur on the following two days.

According to the Department of Justice website, “A CDU is composed of law enforcement officers who are trained to respond to protests, demonstrations, and civil disturbances for the purpose of preventing violence, destruction of property, and unlawful interference with persons exercising their rights under law.

The objective of MPD was “to assist with the safe execution of any First Amendment demonstration and ensure the safety of the participants, public, and the officers.” CDU personnel and Special Operations Division  (SOD) members were to “monitor for any demonstration and/or violent activity and respond accordingly,” according to the report.

There has been speculation that federal agents and Capitol Police were involved in instigating acts of violence during the protests for the purposes of entrapment. As Red State reported in October 2021, “multiple surveillance videos show masked men opening up the doors to the U.S. Capitol Building to allow protesters to enter. In fact, one video shows them entering while Capitol Police officers simply stand around. Yet, we have no idea who those men are.”

Michigan Judge Orders GOP Candidate for Governor to Surrender Guns

Michigan Republican candidate for governor Ryan Kelley will have to surrender his guns while he awaits trial on misdemeanor criminal charges in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol breach, a judge ruled on June 16.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Robin Meriweather made the ruling even as Kelley’s attorney argued he needs to carry a concealed weapon for self-defense as he makes campaign appearances in Michigan, local media reported. The judge also said Kelley can’t leave the state while awaiting trial and must surrender his passport.

Kelley is “a bit of a high-profile candidate in Michigan” as recent polls showed that he was the front-runner among GOP gubernatorial candidates, his lawyer, Gary Springstead, said. Kelley, who has a license to carry a concealed weapon, “asked that he be permitted to carry his firearm for his own self-defense, during the campaign,” Springstead added.

About a week ago, Kelley was arrested in Michigan and charged with participating in the Jan. 6 breach of the Capitol, federal prosecutors said in a court filing in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

The complaint noted that Kelley didn’t actually enter the Capitol building on Jan. 6, and instead is being charged with entering and remaining within a “restricted building or grounds without lawful authority,” disorderly conduct in a restricted building or grounds, knowingly engaging in an act of physical violence against a person or property on restricted grounds, and willfully injuring or committing any depredation against any property of the United States government.

SOCIETY OF SPECTACLE

The Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol, whose first of six televised hearings began last Thursday, is spectacle replacing politics. There is nothing substantially new in the accusations. The committee lacks prosecutorial power. No charges have been filed by Attorney General Merrick Garland against former President Donald Trump and none are expected. The choreographed hearings, like the two impeachment trials of Trump, will have no effect on Trump voters, other than to make them feel persecuted, especially with more than 860 people already charged (including 306 guilty pleas) for their role in storming the Capitol. The committee echoes back to Trump opponents what they already believe. It is designed to present inaction as action and substitute role-playing for politics. It perpetuates, as Guy Debord writes, our “empire of modern passivity.”

The committee, which most Republicans boycotted, hired James Goldston, a documentary producer and former president of ABC News, to turn the hearings into engaging television with slick packaging and an array of pithy sound bites. The result is, and was meant to be, politics as reality television, a media diversion that will change nothing in the dismal American landscape. What should have been a serious bipartisan inquiry into an array of constitutional violations by the Trump administration has been turned into a prime-time campaign commercial for a Democratic Party running on fumes. The epistemology of television is complete. So is its artifice.

The two established wings of the oligarchy, the old Republican Party represented by politicians such as Liz Cheney, one of two Republicans on the committee, and the Bush family, are now united with the Democratic Party elite into one ruling political entity. The ruling parties were already in lock step for decades on the major issues, including: war, trade deals, austerity, the militarization of police, prisons, government surveillance and assaults on civil liberties. They worked in tandem to pervert and destroy democratic institutions on behalf of the rich and corporations. They desperately work together now to stave off the revolt by enraged and betrayed white working men and women who support Donald Trump and the far right.

Oops! Report Shows Capitol Police Received First Warning About Jan. 6 Violence 2 WEEKS BEFORE Protests! — PELOSI TURNED DOWN NATIONAL GUARD

The War Room opened their show on Thursday with John Solomon’s explosive report on Just The News that Capitol Police were first warned about possible violence at the January 6th protests TWO WEEKS before the planned rallies.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported both Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser were both warned about the security situation on January 6th and both of them turned down National Guard troops at the US Capitol that day.

Mayor Muriel Bowser turned down thousands of National Guard troops at the Capitol on January 6 for political reasons.

Chris Wray’s FBI also refused to notify the Trump administration and his cabinet secretaries that they believed there could be a situation like the mass protests at the Capitol that took place.

Capitol Police Chief Debunks J6 Committee Conspiracy Theory

As the Democrat-run January 6th Committee goes to great lengths to present their unifying theory of insurrection surrounding that fateful day in 2001, Capitol Police Chief J. Thomas Manger has debunked a Democrat allegation that a GOP lawmaker, Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), ran a reconnaissance mission inside the Capitol one day before the riot.

There is no evidence that Representative Loudermilk entered the U.S. Capitol with this group on January 5, 2021,” Manger wrote in a Monday letter to Rep. Rodbey Davis (R-IL), ranking Republican on the House Administration Committee, after reviewing security footage of Loudermilk giving people a tour of congressional office buildings.

“We train our officers on being alert for people conducting surveillance or reconnaissance, and we do not consider any of the activities we observed as suspicious,” the letter continues (via Just the News).

J6 Committee Democrat Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and RINO Liz Cheney (R-WY) made allegations against Loudermilk in a letter to the media last month, demanding to know why Loudermilk explain why he was giving a tour of the Capitol the day before the riots – implying that he may have been doing reconnaissance for the next day’s riot.

J6 Committee Spent Half of Budget on Salaries. Staffers Earning Almost $16K/month

The House committee that is investigating the mostly peaceful protest at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 appears to be a get-rich scam for the staffers.

The Select Committee, which is trying to criminalize opposition to the Biden administration and the Democratic Party, paid more than $500,000 in salaries in April, with some staffers earning more than $15,000 a month — almost $200,000 annually.

And more than half the committee’s $3.8 million budget has gone to salaries.

April’s report shows 51 staff members who pulled down $528,769, an average of $10,368 per month per employee. Annual salary at that rate would be $124,416.

Timothy Heaphy, a federal prosecutor who exposed the corruption inside Charlottesville, Virginia’s, police department that led to violence at 2017’s Unite the Right Rally, earns $15,666.67 per month, or $188,000 annually.

Two stop staffers earn $15,666, while another earns $15,416.

Another two earn $14,491, two earn $14,166, and so on.

Year to date, the staffers have earned $1.99 million and change. That’s 52 percent of the committee’s $3.8 million budget.
