Mystery: Police Still Searching For Suspect After Dentist and Wife Gunned Down in Their Columbus, Ohio, Home

A dentist and his wife were gunned down in their Columbus, Ohio, home earlier this week and police still have not identified a suspect.

Dr. Spencer Tepe, 37, and his wife Monique Tepe, 39, were found shot to death in their home Tuesday morning after police conducted a welfare check.

Their two children were found in the home crying but were not physically harmed.

Police were called to conduct a welfare check after Dr. Tepe, who was known for being punctual, failed to show up to work at Athens Dental Depot.

Athens Dental Depot owner, Dr. Mark Valrose told 911 dispatchers that Dr. Tepe always shows up to work on time.

“He is always on time and he would contact us if there was any issues,” Dr. Valrose told dispatchers, according to WSYX. “I don’t know how else to say this but we are very very concerned. This is very out of character for him. We can’t get in touch with his wife which is probably the more concerning thing.”

Police said there was no sign of forced entry and no weapon was found at the scene of the crime so they don’t believe it was a murder-suicide.

Dr. Tepe was shot multiple times and his wife suffered one gunshot wound to the chest.

Police cameras posted on a utility pole near the Tepe’s home may have captured the killer, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

Athens Dental Depot announced they will be closed for the remainder of the week.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of our dear colleague and friend, Dr. Spencer Tepe, as well as his wife Monique. He will be deeply missed by our team and the many patients he cared for over the years. Our thoughts and sincerest condolences are with their families and loved ones during this very difficult time,” Athens Dental Depot wrote on Facebook.

“Our practice will be closed for the remainder of this week. If you have an urgent dental concern, please leave us a message on our emergency line and we will follow up as soon as possible,” the dental practice said.

“We will assess our availability for next week’s appointments and be in touch shortly,” they said. “We ask for your continued patience, support, and privacy as our team mourns these terrible losses,” they said.

While Ohio taxpayers are being told to accept daycare fraud as merely “the cost of doing business,” a stunning new report has surfaced that raises serious questions about who has been operating inside the state’s taxpayer-funded welfare ecosystem and how far those connections now extend onto the global stage.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, RINO Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s office has brushed off mounting concerns over potential large-scale fraud in taxpayer-funded daycare centers—particularly in Columbus, home to the second-largest Somali population in the United States—as merely “the cost of doing business,” even after two independent journalists uncovered disturbing evidence of potential ghost daycare operations in Columbus, Ohio.

Speaking to the Columbus Dispatch, DeWine spokesman Dan Tierney openly acknowledged that daycare fraud has been “known to the state for decades,” suggesting that outrage from taxpayers is simply the product of naivety.

“If people are out there who could not contemplate that people were trying to defraud the public through day care centers, I understand it’s new to them … but it’s been known to the state for decades,” Tierney said. “So therefore, we have robust anti-fraud measures to try and stop this, this is something that is unfortunately the cost of doing business.”

A new bombshell report now reveals that Somalia’s sitting ambassador to the United Nations once worked inside Ohio’s Medicaid bureaucracy, and later ran or represented a healthcare company reportedly placed on a federal fraud exclusion list.

Abukar Dahir Osman, often referred to by the nickname “Baale,” currently serves as Somalia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, a post he has held since 2017.

As of this month, Osman holds one of the most powerful rotating positions in global diplomacy: President of the UN Security Council.

In that role, he:

  • Oversees Security Council meetings
  • Sets the Council’s agenda
  • Manages resolutions and presidential statements
  • Speaks for the A3+ bloc (African nations plus Caribbean representation) on issues like Afghanistan and Yemen

But before assuming global authority in New York, Osman spent years embedded inside Ohio’s public welfare system.

Osman relocated to the United States in the late 1980s and built his career in Ohio’s taxpayer-funded social services apparatus.

From 1999 to 2012, he worked at the Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services, serving as:

  • Case Manager
  • Social Program Specialist

Osman was also a supervisor for the Medicaid office in Franklin County, Ohio, from 2007 to 2012.

Mr. Osman also founded Beacon Educational Services, according to his profile on the UN.  He served as a consultant for the organization from 2007 to 2010.

The most alarming revelation involves Progressive Health Care Services Inc., an Ohio-based home healthcare company linked to Osman.

Born in Somalia but building a life in the U.S., Ali established Ritechoice Healthcare Services LLC in Toledo, Ohio, over a decade ago. Shockingly, two additional healthcare companies operate out of the same office suite.

The company specializes in home health care, providing services such as nursing aides and therapy to vulnerable populations, including the elderly and disabled.

These operations have reportedly received substantial funding from U.S. government programs like Medicaid and Medicare, which reimburse providers for caring for low-income patients.

But the plot thickens with Ali’s business partner, Abdul J. Surey, who was listed as president of Ritechoice Healthcare Services LLC, according to LibsofTikTok.

RINO Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s Office Dismisses Daycare Fraud Allegations as ‘Cost of Doing Business’

RINO Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s office has brushed off growing concerns about potential massive fraud in taxpayer-funded daycare centers, particularly in Columbus, which boasts the second-largest Somali population in the United States, as simply “the cost of doing business.”

Citizen Journalist Descends On Ohio, Immediately Finds ‘First Signs Of Potentially Massive Somali Fraud’

The “Nick Shirley Effect” has begun, with Muckraker founder Anthony Rubin on the ground in Columbus, Ohio, home to the second-largest Somali community in the U.S., investigating daycare centers. This development comes less than a day after Ohio attorney Mehek Cooke said federal investigators are examining allegations that elements within Ohio’s Somali community defrauded millions of dollars from the state’s Medicaid system.

Ohio Activists Submit Signatures For Referendum To Block Lawmakers’ Move To Roll Back Marijuana Legalization And Restrict Hemp

Ohio activists announced on Monday that they’ve met an initial signature requirement to launch a campaign aimed at repealing key components of a bill the governor recently signed to scale back the state’s voter-approved marijuana law and ban the sale of consumable hemp products outside of licensed cannabis dispensaries.

Ohioans for Cannabis Choice said they’ve submitted a batch of 1,000 signatures to get the referendum process started. If the signatures are certified by the secretary of state, the campaign will then need to submit a total of about 250,000 signatures to make the ballot.

The proposed referendum would repeal the first three core sections of SB 56, a controversial bill that Gov. Mike DeWine (R) signed into law earlier this month that he says is intended to crack down on the unregulated intoxicating hemp market. But the legislation would do more than restrict the sale of cannabinoid products to dispensaries.

The law also recriminalizes certain marijuana activity that was legalized under the ballot initiative voters approved in 2023, and it’d additionally remove anti-discrimination protections for cannabis consumers that were enacted under that law.

The governor additionally used his line-item veto powers to cancel a section of the bill that would have delayed the implementation of the ban on hemp beverages.

“We’re saying no to SB 56 because it recriminalizes the cannabis industry,” Wesley Bryant, a petitioner with the referendum campaign who owns the cannabis company 420 Craft Beverages, said. “SB 56 is a slap in the face to voters who overwhelmingly voted to legalize cannabis in 2023.”

Advocates and stakeholders strongly protested the now-enacted legislation, arguing that it undermines the will of voters who approved cannabis legalization and would effectively eradicate the state’s hemp industry, as there are low expectations that adults will opt for hemp-based products over marijuana when they visit a dispensary.

The pushback inspired the newly filed referendum—but the path to successfully blocking the law is narrow.

If activists reach the signature threshold by the deadline three months from now, which coincides with the same day the restrictive law is to take effect, SB 56 would not be implemented until voters got a chance to decide on the issue at the ballot.

“In filing our petitions today, we are taking a stand for Ohioans against politicians in Columbus and saying no to the government overreach of SB 56,” Bryant said.

A summary of the referendum states that “Sections 1, 2, and 3 of Am. Sub. S. B. No. 56 enact new provisions and amend and repeal existing provisions of the Ohio Revised Code that relate to the regulation, criminalization, and taxation of cannabis products, such as the sale, use, possession, cultivation, license, classification, transport, and manufacture of marijuana and certain hemp products.”

“If a majority of the voters vote to not approve Sections 1, 2, and 3 of the Act, then the enacted changes will not take effect and the prior version of the affected laws will remain in effect,” it says.

‘Her legs turned blue’: Nuclear plant radiation led to 12-inch blood clot in teen’s hip and deadly complications after she played in nearby creek, lawsuit says

An Ohio teenager died from complications of a bone marrow transplant after developing a “rare” genetic condition caused by radiation from a nuclear plant she lived by, her mother says in a lawsuit. The teen was diagnosed with a 12-inch blood clot in her hip and blood clots in her lungs before she died.

“Cheyenne Dunham, from birth until she was a teenager, regularly consumed food grown in a garden within close proximity to [the nuclear plant], including corn, tomatoes and beans,” lawyers for Cheyenne’s mother say in a 52-page legal complaint. “Cheyenne Dunham lived from age 4 or 5 until she was a teenager … in close proximity to [the nuclear plant]. At this home, Cheyenne Dunham played in a creek and ingested creek water.”

Cheyenne’s mother, Julia Dunham, is suing Centrus Energy in a wrongful death case for her 19-year-old daughter’s death in 2015. Julia became the administrator of Cheyenne’s estate in October and filed her complaint against Centrus Energy in late November. She says radiation from the company’s Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant, referred to as PORTS, led to Cheyenne’s condition and health problems.

Officials shut down the plant in 2001 due to environmental concerns, including the proximity of a school just two miles away and numerous nearby homes.

On May 13, 2019, Zahn’s Corner Middle School in Piketon was “suddenly closed” after “enriched uranium” was detected inside the building, according to Julia Dunham’s complaint. Cheyenne was a student there for three years, from fourth through sixth grade.

“While at Zahn’s Corner, Cheyenne was exposed to radionuclides in excess of federal regulatory limits,” the complaint alleges. “She was also exposed to radionuclides in the Piketon community.”

An independent journalist in Ohio has uncovered elaborate fraud schemes allegedly involving Somali immigrants exploiting the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) system.

The investigation, detailed in a video that has gone viral on social media, highlights how some individuals are using welfare benefits to subsidize their businesses while evading taxes.

The video, posted on X by @WallStreetApes, shows the journalist touring Columbus neighborhoods and explaining the mechanics of the scheme.

He describes how Somali-owned restaurants are often attached to grocery stores, allowing owners to use EBT cards to purchase bulk ingredients for their eateries.

“Every single Somali restaurant has a grocery store right next door or within eye shot of the restaurant,” the journalist states. “They can just order everything they need to their grocery store that’s right next or attached to the restaurant that they also own and never have to fill a single cart.”

According to the investigator, these grocery stores are likely to report significant losses annually, which are used as tax write-offs, while the restaurants operate on cash, funneling the government-funded goods into profitable ventures.

The journalist also points out the role of polygamous marriages in the community, noting that multiple wives can claim benefits as single mothers, further maximizing welfare payouts.

“If you have two or three wives that don’t claim, these women can go work at Wal-Mart full time for $15 an hour and still qualify for food stamps as long as they have a couple kids,” he explains.

The journalist references Minnesota, where 88% of the Somali community is reportedly on social services, suggesting the fraud in Columbus could be equally pervasive.

This follow-up investigation builds on an earlier report by Columbus resident Nakia Deon, who first brought attention to similar scams in a video shared on X.

Deon described Somali men owning businesses like markets, with their wives using EBT cards exclusively at those stores, leading to massive fraud through hidden polygamous marriages and money laundering.

Top Democrats in Columbus, Ohio, Warn Illegal Aliens That ICE Is in Town

The far-left Democrats who run Columbus, Ohio, are attempting to protect illegal aliens from arrest by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Mayor Andrew Ginther and homosexual council President Shannon Hardin warned city dwellers, including the illegals, that ICE is on the prowl in the city, where almost 20 percent of residents are foreign-born.

The pair of subversives sounded the anti-ICE alarm bells likely because the agency recently arrested a number of illegal-alien thugs and goons — the worst of the worst.

That, apparently, might “scare” the “law-abiding” illegal aliens.

Last week, The Columbus Dispatch reported, Ginther and city officials spoke at the usual news conference to prattle about diversity and “who we are”:

“While some (agents) say they’re here to keep us safe, the fact is we’re already safe,” Ginther said as he rattled off several statistics highlighting a decrease in homicides, shootings, felonious assaults and burglaries.

“These statistics are important because it shows our city is the safest it’s been in years,” Ginther said. He also said immigration enforcement could “undermine the hard-earned trust” the city and police have been working to rebuild. …

Ginther pleaded with concerned citizens who are sharing reports, photos and videos of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations to make sure they are sharing accurate information. Unverified photos and videos can lead to increased anxiety and confusion, he said. “Our city will not be a vehicle for fear,” Ginther said.

Maybe, but Ginther’s roseate view of the city’s crime rate ignores data that show Columbus is substantially more dangerous that Ohio as a whole, and also more dangerous than the United States.
