Federal and State Officials in Talks to Close Down Florida’s Alligator Alcatraz

Federal and state officials are in talks to close down Alligator Alcatraz in Florida.

Alligator Alcatraz is a detention center for illegal aliens, many of whom are rapists, murderers, and designated foreign terrorists.

The facility, which opened over the summer at the direction of Governor Ron DeSantis, is surrounded by Florida’s natural defenses, including alligators, pythons, and dense swampland in the Florida Everglades.

On Thursday it was reported that federal officials are working with Florida officials to close down Alligator Alcatraz.

The New York Times reported:

Florida is in talks with the Trump administration to shut down a high-profile immigration detention center that opened last summer in the Everglades and has cost the state hundreds of millions of dollars to operate, according to a federal official, a former Immigration and Customs Enforcement official, and a person close to the administration of Gov. Ron DeSantis.

The shutdown talks are preliminary, the people said. But officials at the Department of Homeland Security have concluded that it is too expensive to keep operating the center, known as Alligator Alcatraz. Homeland security officials have also come to consider the center ineffective, the federal official said. All three people spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal talks.

The DeSantis administration has been spending more than $1 million a day to run the center, which is in a swampy, isolated area between Miami and Naples. Some private vendors hired by the state to operate it have been struggling to front costs, according to the person close to the DeSantis administration.

Fox News confirmed reporting from The New York Times:

“Since its inception, Alligator Alcatraz has processed over 21,000 illegal aliens for deportation. The facility’s purpose was to provide Florida and the Trump administration with a rapid, temporary solution to four years of Biden’s open border invasion. Needless to say, Alligator Alcatraz was a massive success.

President Trump secured record funding from Congress to set up permanent sites for detaining and deporting illegal aliens. As those sites come online, the need for Alligator Alcatraz as a holding area will wane, while its 2.5-mile runway will remain available and used for large flights from neighboring ICE facilities.

We are glad to see DHS rebuilt under President Trump. We continue to fully support the mission, and when it’s no longer required, Alligator Alcatraz will return to the Everglades with Florida’s commitment that it will never be developed. We also appreciate the federal government’s commitment to reimbursing Florida for its immediate efforts to step in and help with this mission.”

Biden-Paroled Illegal Alien Charged With Sexually Assaulting Elderly Women at Wisconsin Nursing Home

An illegal alien from Nicaragua has been charged with sexually assaulting elderly women at a Wisconsin assisted living facility where he worked.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged a detainer against Julio Cesar Morales Jarquin, who entered the U.S. through the Biden administration’s parole pipeline in 2023.

According to local officials, Morales Jarquin was employed at an assisted living facility in Dane County, Wisconsin, when he allegedly sexually assaulted elderly female residents.

He has been charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault of an elderly victim.

ICE is urging local officials not to release Morales Jarquin back into the community.

“This illegal alien is charged with two counts of sexual assault of an elderly victim at an assisted living facility,” Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Lauren Bis said.

“This dirtbag was released into the country by the Biden Administration.”

“DHS is calling on sanctuary politicians in Dane County, Wisconsin to not release this criminal from jail back onto the streets to commit more crimes.”

“We need Wisconsin sanctuary politicians to cooperate with us to remove criminals from our country,” she added.

Porter lashed out at a masked staffer who could be seen in the background.

“Get out of my f*cking shot!” Porter shouted as the staffer tried to correct something she said about electric vehicles.

“You also were in my shot before that. Stay out of my shot,” Porter said as she pounded her fists on a table.

An illegal alien from Honduras beat a man unconscious and raped him behind a dumpster.

Jose Ignacio Bonilla-Garcia was charged with assaulting a man, dragging his unconscious body behind a dumpster, and raping him in Suffolk County, New York.

The victim was intoxicated and collapsed after leaving the Esperanza Deli Café on March 27.

Jose Ignacio Bonilla-Garcia, a three-times deported illegal alien, fled to Texas and tried to escape to Mexico after committing the heinous crime.

“This is one of the most egregious criminal offenses that I’ve come across in my entire career and another example of why it’s vital for law enforcement at all levels to work together in the interest of public safety,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston acting Field Office Director Gabriel Martinez.

“Following the alleged assault, Bonilla-Garica traveled to Texas in a suspected attempt to flee to Mexico to evade prosecution for his alleged crimes,” Martinez added.

“With a limited amount of time to work with, and a lot of ground to cover, the law enforcement community quickly came together to help track down this dangerous fugitive and he was safely taken into custody by the U.S Marshals Service’s Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force before he could leave the country,” he said.

“Without teamwork and collaboration between law enforcement at all levels, the outcome would have likely been very different,” he added.

It Just Never Ends: Another American Dead At The Hands Of An Illegal Alien

Another American life senselessly erased. Michael Sharpe, a 47-year-old beloved husband and father of two young children, was killed in a head-on collision last Friday in Effingham County, Georgia.

The man behind the wheel was a 27-year-old Colombian national who entered the United States illegally in December 2023 under the Biden administration, ignored his immigration proceedings, and was under a final order of removal issued on April 17, 2026.

Deiby Jhonatan Janamejoy Jansasoy crossed the centerline on Old Augusta Road South, slamming into Sharpe’s Chevy Silverado. Sharpe was trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by fire crews before being rushed to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Jansasoy faces charges including first-degree homicide by vehicle, DUI, reckless driving, and driving without a license. He even tried to flee the hospital before authorities arrested him.

Sharpe’s wife, Crystal, was on the phone with him when the crash happened. Now she’s left to raise their two small children without their father.

The family has set up a GoFundMe to cover funeral costs and provide some stability in the devastating aftermath.

Connecticut Dem Says ICE Is Jim Crow. DHS Replies With List of Illegal Alien Thugs

After the Democrat governor of Connecticut compared immigration enforcement to Jim Crow oppression — ironic considering Jim Crow was the Democrats’ regime — the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) replied with a disquieting list of illegal alien criminals arrested in Connecticut.

CT Mirror celebrated a gubernatorial bill signing May 4, claiming it would require federal agents to display their names or badge numbers — facilitating the already out-of-control doxxing against ICE — persecute ICE for defending themselves with lethal force, and prevent arrests at schools and churches. It appears that Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont might have made his disgusting accusations at his bill signing, when he claimed Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are “brutal,” criticized Trump for referring to criminal illegal aliens as “criminal aliens,” and compared immigration enforcement to the historical Know-Nothing party, anti-Catholic laws, and “Jim Crow laws.” “Never before…has it been led by the White House,” he pontificated, ignoring the numerous Democrat presidents who explicitly aligned themselves with the KKK and political violence.

DHS was quick to respond to Lamont’s propaganda with a list of the despicable illegal alien criminals who were living in — and quite possibly receiving taxpayer-funded benefits in — Connecticut before ICE arrested them. The aliens’ crimes include murder, pedophilic sexual assault, and child abuse.

Biden DEI Judge Orders ICE to Release Illegal-alien Murder Suspect; Other DEI Appointees Block Arrests, Deportations

Yet another federal judge appointed in the name of diversity, equity, and inclusion has freed yet another illegal-alien thug whom Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested.

Melissa DuBose, appointed to the U.S. District Court for Rhode Island by President Joe Biden, freed Bryan Rafael Gomez, who isn’t just an illegal-alien criminal. He is also the subject of an Interpol warrant for murder.

DuBose isn’t the first — and certainly won’t be the last — far-left judge to side with criminals over Americans. She is the third Biden DEI appointee to interfere with immigration enforcement in favor of an illegal alien.

Red Notice

Yet another illegal released into the country in 2022 at the border by the Biden administration, Gomez is a fairly typical illegal-alien thug.

“On April 4, 2026, the Worcester [Massachusetts] Police Department arrested Gomez, a criminal illegal alien from the Dominican Republic, for assault and battery,” the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported. “The detainer was honored, and after he was released on $500 bail,” ICE arrested him.

But Gomez is more than just a “criminal,” DHS continued:

On January 24, 2023, the Coordination of the Courts of Instruction of the National District of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, issued a criminal arrest warrant for Bryan Rafael Gomez for homicide.

So, of course, DuBose — the black female DEI judge — had to set him loose despite a removal order, perhaps to kill an American.

Fox News’ Bill Melugin explained on X that Gomez had not only a valid deportation order, but also an “Interpol Red Notice arrest warrant for murder in his home [country].”  

“DuBose ordered Gomez be released from ICE custody on the grounds of ‘continuous unlawful detention,’ while ICE argued that Gomez was subject to mandatory detention due to having an international arrest warrant for homicide,” Melugin wrote.

Conn. governor signs bill into law limiting ICE actions

Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont has signed Senate Bill 397 into law, limiting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents’ moves and permitting Connecticut residents access to new legal tools should they believe their rights were violated.

Just days before the legislative session concluded, the legislation passed the House and was sent to the governor’s desk.

Dozens of elected officials and advocates attended Monday’s ceremony in front of the state Supreme Court, across the street from the State Capitol, where the governor signed the bill.

“We are sovereign in this state, this is the sovereign state of Connecticut. That is why we have a Supreme Court. That is why we have state laws. That’s why we have a Capitol,” said Attorney General William Tong, gesturing over his shoulder.

“The bill is rooted in the concept that no one is above the law. Here in the Constitution State, the Constitution applies to everyone,” added Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz.

LA Democrats Move to Use Illegal Aliens to Erase Citizens from Their Own Elections

A proposal introduced by Los Angeles City Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martínez would ask voters to grant the City Council authority to allow noncitizens to vote in local elections, including races for mayor, City Council, and the Los Angeles Board of Education.

Soto-Martínez, who represents a district spanning Echo Park to Hollywood, released the proposal on Wednesday.

If advanced, the measure would be placed before voters in the Nov. 3 election.

The proposal must first receive approval from the City Council to appear on the ballot.

If voters approve the measure, the council would then need to pass an ordinance revising city election laws to implement the change.

The proposal has been signed by Councilmember Ysabel Jurado and is scheduled to move to the council’s rules committee for consideration.

Soto-Martínez said the measure is intended to address concerns within immigrant communities.

He referenced his own family background while explaining the proposal.

Man With Immigration Detainer Hold Charged in Alleged Kidnapping of 12-Year-Old Baltimore Girl

A 12-year-old girl was abducted in Cockeysville, which is in the Baltimore area of Maryland. The alleged kidnapper has an immigration detainer hold.

34-year-old Oscar Bladimir Argueta was charged with assault and kidnapping a middle school girl.

Argueta was denied bail at his court hearing on Friday. The alleged kidnapping took place this past Thursday.

Authorities responded Thursday morning after a female student said that she had been abducted.

CBS News Baltimore Reported:

A man is facing charges after Baltimore County police said he abducted a middle school student on Thursday, April 30.

Oscar Bladimir Argueta Argueta, 34, was charged with kidnapping and assault after the alleged incident in the Vintage Court and Cranbrook Road area of Cockeysville, officials said.

A judge denied Argueta bail Friday afternoon.

Police were called to Cockeysville Middle School around 7:50 a.m. after a student reported that she had been abducted.

“The student told officers that she was walking to school when a man approached, identifying himself as a family friend who had recognized her from church. He persuaded her to get into his gray Toyota Camry, telling her that her family sent him, according to police.” CBS News Baltimore reported.

After the girl got into the car, the accused took her to several locations before dropping her off at school. That is when she reported what happened to her.

After the police interviewed the girl’s mother, she said no one was permitted to pick up her daughter.

Argueta took her to a park and even stopped at a cemetery before the girl demanded he take her to school. He eventually listened to her and dropped her off at school.

According to the police, the suspect touched the girl inappropriately. He even climbed into the back seat and asked her, in Spanish, if she had a boyfriend. He even asked to kiss her.

After cursing at him and demanding to be taken to school, he complied. He also said he was sorry and told her not to tell anyone.

Argueta is being represented by a public defender and is looking at up to 40 years in prison if convicted of second-degree assault and kidnapping a minor.
