NBC’s Story About ICE’s Detainment of a Russian-Born Harvard Scientist Backfires

One of the most significant benefits of the second Trump Administration is how quickly they have been able to blow up fake news stories pushed by the corporate media. One great example is a sob story about a Russian-born Harvard scientist written today that would have gone unchecked in previous years.

NBC ‘News’ yesterday published an article attempting to show the ‘consequences’ of President Trump’s no-nonsense illegal immigration policy relating to researchers at our universities. ICE detained 30-year-old scientist Kseniia Petrova back in February, and she is now battling to avoid being deported back to Russia.

Petrova was supposedly on the cusp of potentially unlocking major breakthroughs in cancer research and detection, which could save millions of lives. Moreover, Petrova fears that she will be punished for protesting the Ukraine-Russia war and is trying to claim asylum.

Here is how the Peacock channel ‘reported’ on the situation:

A groundbreaking microscope at Harvard Medical School could lead to breakthroughs in cancer detection and research into longevity. But the scientist who developed computer scripts to read its images and unlock its full potential has been in an immigration detention center for two months — putting crucial scientific advancements at risk.

The scientist, the 30-year-old Russian-born Kseniia Petrova, worked at Harvard’s renowned Kirschner Lab until her arrest at a Boston airport in mid-February. She is now being held at ICE’s Richwood Correctional Center in Monroe, Louisiana, and fighting possible deportation to Russia, where she said she fears persecution and jail time over her protests against the war in Ukraine.

“I would call it a grinding machine,” Petrova, who spoke with NBC News from the Louisiana facility, said about being detained. “We are in this machine, and it doesn’t care if you have a visa, a green card, or any particular story. … It just keeps going.”

Silent On Tesla Attacks, Shapiro Calls For ‘Moral Clarity’ On Arson At His Mansion

When a man threw two Molotov cocktails into the Pennsylvania governor’s mansion April 13, torching several rooms as Gov. Josh Shapiro and family slept upstairs, it set off a nonstop parade of national media appearances where Shapiro admonished the general public about political violence.

“This type of violence has no place in our society,” Shapiro said in a piece for The New York Times this week. He has repeated that sentiment almost verbatim in interviews and press conferences.

He called for “this type of violence” to be “universally condemned,” during a sit-down interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos filmed in the charred mansion’s dining room. “I think every single leader has a responsibility to speak and act with moral clarity and condemn this kind of violence,” Shapiro told Stephanopoulos.

But moral clarity gets fuzzy for Shapiro and the left when victims are on the right, or the criminals are loved by the left.

Who on the left has condemned the attacks on Tesla vehicles and dealerships? Not Shapiro, even as protest rhetoric gets more fervent and participation curtails business operations. The left has either participated in such events or cheered it on.

Where is the condemnation of the February incident at Pennsylvania state Rep. Alec Ryncavage’s office? A man was caught on a surveillance camera throwing two “firebomb-like devices,” at the Republican’s legislative district office. A spokeswoman for Ryncavage’s office confirmed Shapiro never reached out to him over the incident.

Shapiro likes to remind everyone that he condemned violence when President Donald Trump was shot in the head while on the campaign trail in Butler. And he did.

Sanctuary State California to Free Illegal Alien from Prison After He Killed Two Teens in Drunk Driving Crash

The sanctuary state of California is set to release from prison a twice-deported illegal alien who was convicted of killing two American teenagers, 19-year-olds Anna Varfolomeeva and Nicholay Osokin, in a 2021 drunk driving crash.

Varfolomeeva and Osokin, who were dating, were killed in November 2021 in Orange County, California, by Ortega-Anguiano who was drunk, high, and driving 100 mph on the 205 freeway at the time. The teens were burned alive in the crash.

The following year, Ortega-Anguiano was convicted on two counts of vehicular manslaughter while drunk and sentenced to just ten years in prison for killing Varfolomeeva and Osokin. Before the conviction, Ortega-Anguiano already had numerous felony convictions and served time in California’s state prison system.

A new report from Fox News’ Bill Melugin reveals that California officials plan to release Ortega-Anguiano from prison in July of this year, ensuring that he has served less than half of his sentence.

“The victims’ families felt that was already a weak sentence, but they tell me they were notified by the CA Department of Corrections on Easter Sunday that Ortega-Anguiano is scheduled for an early release on July 19th, 2025, only a little more than 3 years into his sentence, leaving the victims’ families shocked, and outraged given the seriousness of the crime and his prior criminal history,” Melugin posted to X.

FBI Says Venezuelan Officials ‘Likely Using’ Tren de Aragua Gang

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) says Venezuelan government officials may be using Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang members, according to a Fox News report.

A “senior” Trump administration official shared with Fox News, “unclassified portions” of an FBI assessment, which found that officials within Venezuelan Dictator Nicolas Maduro’s regime, were using TdA gang members “as proxies for the Maduro regime in an effort to destabilize” countries such as the U.S., Chile, Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia, according to the outlet:

Fox News Digital has learned that the FBI assesses that some Venezuelan government officials are likely using Tren de Aragua members as proxies for the Maduro regime in an effort to destabilize Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia and the United States. The official said the FBI assesses that this demonstrates Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s willingness to violate the territorial sovereignty of Venezuela’s neighbors to advance his regime’s policies.

FBI officials have reportedly assessed that within “six to 18 months,” Venezuelan government officials will try to “leverage” TdA gang members in the U.S. to act as “proxy actors to threaten, abduct and kill members of the Venezuelan diaspora” who have been “vocal critics of Maduro,” according to the outlet.

The report comes as President Donald Trump and his administration have faced legal challenges from several judges in response to the deportations of Venezuelan migrants who are suspected of being TdA members under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act.

Sweden’s Murder Rate Now Higher Than El Salvador’s After Years of Globalist Mass Migration Policies—Half of Older Swedes Want to Flee the Country

Sweden, once hailed as a beacon of safety and “progressive utopia” of Europe, is now facing a grim and unthinkable reality: its murder rate has climbed higher than that of El Salvador, long infamous for gang violence, and a nation that, until recently, was considered one of the most dangerous places on Earth.

The shocking revelation, confirmed by multiple sources, highlights the catastrophic consequences of decades of open-border, globalist immigration policies championed by Sweden’s out-of-touch left-liberal establishment.

According to data from early 2025, Sweden has reported 32 murders just in the first 110 days of the year. By comparison, El Salvador, after a massive anti-gang crackdown led by President Bukele, has reported only 20. That means Sweden now has over 50% more murders than the former gang warzone.

The Central American country’s dramatic turnaround is largely credited to President Nayib Bukele’s zero-tolerance strategy against gangs like MS-13 and Barrio 18, involving mass arrests and long prison sentences.

Meanwhile, Sweden reels from deadly shootings and bombings carried out by criminal migrant gangs that flourish in the country’s increasingly ‘diverse’ urban enclaves.

The first quarter of 2025 alone saw 19 firearm-related homicides in Sweden, alongside 13 other murders and suspicious deaths under investigation. And that’s just the cases where suspects have been identified or arrested—another 20 unexplained deaths weren’t even included in the official count, suggesting the real numbers could be worse.

In January, Stockholm was rocked by 32 bombings, a brutal indication of how deeply embedded organized criminal networks have become in Swedish society. The violence isn’t isolated either—it’s spreading from no-go zones in major cities to the country’s quieter suburbs and towns.

Tragically, Sweden, once one of the safest and most peaceful countries in the world, is being eaten alive from the inside out by violent criminal networks that globalist politicians have imported under the guise of “compassion” and “diversity.”

Voluntary Remigration: Sweden Offers Migrants $61K Incentive to Leave Europe

Sweden’s center-right coalition government—supported by the national-conservative Sweden Democrats—is set to roll out a sweeping new plan that will dramatically increase financial incentives for migrants who voluntarily leave the country, marking one of the most generous “return grant” programs in Europe.

Unveiled on Wednesday, the proposed policy would offer up to SEK 600,000 ($61,134) to migrant families who choose to repatriate or resettle outside the European Union and select neighboring countries.

Individual adults could receive SEK 350,000 ($35,974), while couples may qualify for up to SEK 500,000 ($50,933). Families would also be eligible for an additional SEK 25,000 ($2,490) per child under 18, capped at the SEK 600,000 total.

“This is about giving people who feel excluded or who haven’t found a place in Swedish society the opportunity for a dignified return and a new beginning elsewhere,” Migration Minister Johan Forssell said in a statement to the Swedish TT news agency. “But this won’t be a free ticket. If they return to Sweden, they’ll be required to pay the money back.”

The plan comes in response to the country’s ongoing challenges with migrant integration, particularly for those with permanent residency who remain outside the workforce or social mainstream.

Migrants—primarily from Islamic countries—not only rely on Sweden’s generous welfare system at disproportionately high rates compared to native-born Swedes, but are also significantly overrepresented in violent crime statistics.

46 Honduran nationals working for Sinaloa Drug Cartel arrested on drug trafficking charges in Portland, Oregon

Federal and local law enforcement agencies arrested 46 Honduran nationals on drug trafficking charges in Portland, Oregon, following an extensive joint operation to disrupt open-air drug markets in Multnomah County. Authorities seized an array of illicit drugs, firearms, and cash. The Honduran nationals were reportedly working on behalf of the Mexican Sinaloa Drug Cartel, a designated foreign terror group, according to a press release.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Seattle Field Division said that the apprehended “Honduran drug traffickers” flooded the Portland area with “deadly fentanyl and other drugs.” The enforcement operation that netted 46 arrests occurred in the first four months of 2025.

In total, authorities seized 44 pounds of fentanyl powder; 2,507 fentanyl pills; 22 pounds of methamphetamine; nine pounds of cocaine; two pounds of heroin; 20 firearms; and $204,007 in cash, according to the DEA.

“The fentanyl seized by our team in this case could have yielded over 1.5 million lethal doses – enough to kill everyone in Portland twice,” said David F. Reames, Special Agent in Charge, DEA Seattle Field Division. “I am proud that DEA could help our partners bring this surge to a successful conclusion, saving lives here in Portland and throughout Oregon.”

According to the DEA, nearly 70 percent of all drug poisonings and overdose deaths involve fentanyl, and just two milligrams of fentanyl is considered a potentially deadly overdose.

Portland, a self-declared sanctuary city for illegal immigrants, is among the highest in the nation for fentanyl overdose deaths, as stated in a 2024 CDC report. The operation comes after the state of Oregon re-criminalized illicit drug possession last year following a failed 2020 drug decriminalization ballot measure that resulted in an increase in overdose deaths and open-air drug use on city streets, according to data.

New England serial killer fears heighten after eighth idyllic town rocked by gruesome discovery

Southern California judge found guilty of murdering his wife in 2023

A California jury convicted a judge of fatally shooting his wife following a drunken argument at their Anaheim Hills home in 2023, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors accused Orange County Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Ferguson of intentionally killing his wife, Sheryl Ferguson, 65, in their Anaheim, California, home in August 2023. During the trial, Jeffrey Ferguson admitted to shooting his wife but maintained that it was an accident.

Jurors rejected Jeffrey Ferguson’s testimony that he accidentally shot his wife and convicted him of second-degree murder as well as a felony gun enhancement on April 22, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. He faces a maximum sentence of 40 years to life in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced on June 13.

Unhinged Woman Is Dragged from Idaho Town Hall After She Won’t Stop Screaming – Bites a Man – Then Sues 6 Men after Her “Right to Free Speech” Is Violated & Raises $330K on GoFundMe

When was it exactly that the “right to free speech” included interrupting meetings, screaming nonstop, and harassing people at public meetings?

Screaming leftist Teresa Borrenpohl was removed from her seat at a public legislative meeting back in February in Idaho after she would not stop screaming and interrupting the meeting.

Private security officers from Lear Asset Management dragged the crazed woman out of the auditorium. On the way out she bit one of the men. The security officials tried to tie her hands with zip ties. Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris recorded the incident, and encouraged the belligerent woman’s removal.

Teresa was screaming about women dying following the Roe v. Wade reversal by the Supreme Court.

On Monday, prosecutors in Coeur d’Alene filed misdemeanor charges against the men who dragged Teresa from the meeting.

Teresa is also planning on suing the officials.

You just can’t make this up.
