Australian Spy Agency Collected “Signals Intelligence” On China COVID Origins: Former State Department Investigator

David Asher, a Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute and the lead investigator of the State Department’s Covid-19 origins investigation during President Trump’s first term, appeared on Sky News on Tuesday. Asher disclosed that Australian spy agencies had previously collected signals intelligence concerning the origins of the virus in Wuhan, China.

What Asher means by signals intelligence is the interception of voice, text, and other communications (e.g., phone calls, emails, and radio transmissions). Australian spy agencies conducted much of this in Asia, which the CIA later obtained.

“I never thought the intel picture based on human intelligence, which is what the CIA has, but it was reasonably clear based on the reactions of senior Chinese leaders that something terrible had gone wrong inside Wuhan, specifically inside the Wuhan Institute of Urology and perhaps also the Wuhan University and the CDC … they shared certain programs together,” Asher told Sky News host Sharri Markson.

He said, “I think there will be much more coming out – with CIA Director John Ratcliffe – who you interviewed previously – is adamant about declassifying information or releasing information that is already declassified. There is going to be signals intelligence and how much of that makes its way out – just trust me – there was a lot of it.”

Sky News Markson asked Asher: “What do you mean by signals intelligence that hasn’t come out yet?”

“Just picking up phone calls, picking up the emails, things like that … just messages between different people, I can’t comment on what they are, but it’s no secret we do this. Much of our collection is actually done in Australia, as you know,” Asher responded.

He continued: “So your government is fully aware, which is another reason why they are really puzzled and dismayed that the Australian government, which has the same information … as we do, has been so passive, especially given the fact that your Prime Minister originally came out and said that we had to have an investigation.”

“It’s just sort of pathetic if you ask me,” Asher noted, who was referring to Western governments burying the Covid lab leak theory during the Biden-Harris administration.

Asher’s interview with the Australian media outlet came shortly after the CIA released an assessment identifying the Wuhan lab as the most likely origin of Covid. It only took a change in administration for this conclusion to be made public. Our view is that the CIA knew all along – with high confidence – about lab origins. Meanwhile, former FBI Director Christopher Wray stated in 2023 that the virus “most likely” originated from the Wuhan lab.

Yet during President Biden’s first term, the radical leftists in the administration deployed the taxpayer-funded censorship blob to combat lab origins and maintain the official gov’t narrative that Covid originated naturally.

The Biodefense Oligarchy And Its Demographic Defeats

Some years back, in calmer times before the storm, we officers at sea held the wardroom mess in accordance with that classic naval tradition. It was modernized and conducted over secure video, so those of us in the Med studied with those in the Gulf and those in the BAM,1 but it was all the same. Our study was Thucydides.

The Peloponnesian War is too large for a deployment’s worth of weekly studies to cover, so after each session, I filled my evening with further reading. As the Oak Hill2passed Sicily, I was drawn to the history of the Sicilian Expedition. History is studied to draw lessons for present times. Athens’ lessons are abundant for ours.

In the midst of the 30-year Peloponnesian War, factions of Athens deemed an invasion of Sicily critical to overall victory. Inherent to their argument was the reality that Sicily would be impossibly lucrative if victorious. So it was then, so it is now: potential profit often clouds sound judgment.

The opposition lost and the attack proceeded. It took the entire fleet and all its citizen manpower and it was entirely defeated. During the multi-year effort, the factions that drove it fused into an oligarchy that perpetuated itself and its war until its incompetence and complete defeat undermined its despotism. It still took the Demos physically overthrowing the Oligarchy for democracy to be restored in Athens.3

Athens could rebuild the ships. But it could not rebuild the men. Thirty thousand citizen sailors were lost in the expedition – the heart of Athens’ civilizational power. The demographic catastrophe is considered a cause of Athens’ eventual defeat in the war and its civilizational decline.4

Two decades ago, factions argued that biowarfare threats were so significant that biodefense responsibility needed to be removed from the purview of the uniformed military and placed within NIAID under NIH and under HHS. There were structural and efficiency reasons to do this but the intangible reason was that the uniformed military officer corps would not stain its honor with biowarfare. It had held the line with the bioweapons convention since Nixon axed the US bioweapons program, so it had to be removed from the picture for the factions to proceed.

Covid was made in a US lab

What the CIA said is true: this virus came out of a lab. What they didn’t tell you? It was almost surely made in a US lab (UNC) but tested in a Chinese laboratory.

Columbia professor Jeff Sachs noted the Chinese horseshoe bats, which are exclusive to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Ralph Baric from UNC was fascinated by that species of bat, as they were the source of SARS1 in 2003.

To be specific, Baric wanted to test his “human codon optimized” HKU3-Smix in bats.

Russian Defense Ministry accuses Bill Gates of funding bioterrorism for population reduction in Africa

In a startling press briefing, the Russian Ministry of Defense (MOD) has accused billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates of funding bioterrorism-related activities with the alleged goal of reducing global populations. Major General Aleksei Rtishchev, Deputy Chief of Russia’s Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops, delivered the explosive claims, asserting that the Gates Foundation is a primary sponsor of U.S. biological research in Africa. The allegations, which also implicate the Clinton Foundation, come amid growing scrutiny of Gates’ controversial experiments in developing nations, including his recent admission of using India as a “laboratory” for vaccine trials. The Russian MOD’s claims, if proven, could have far-reaching implications for global health governance and the ethical boundaries of scientific research.

The Russian MOD’s briefing painted a grim picture of U.S. biological activities in Africa, alleging that the continent is being exploited as a testing ground for dangerous pathogens and experimental drugs. Major General Rtishchev claimed that American specialists are actively enhancing the pathogenic functions of microorganisms, raising concerns about the potential for bioterrorism. “The U.S. administration views the region as an unlimited natural reservoir of dangerous infectious agents and a testing ground for experimental medical drugs,” Rtishchev stated.

The Russian military leader also accused the Gates Foundation and Clinton Foundation of sponsoring these activities, which he claims are part of a broader strategy to manage biological risks. According to Rtishchev, the U.S. has established a network of biological laboratories across Africa, including in Nigeria, Kenya, Senegal, Ghana, and Djibouti. These facilities, he alleges, are part of a Pentagon-backed initiative to monitor and manipulate infectious diseases, with potential consequences for global health security.

CIA Finally Cops to Likely COVID Lab Leak Reality: Report

Five years late to the party, the Central Intelligence Agency joins noted other conspiracy theorists — i.e., anyone with common sense — by acknowledging what was plain to see for anyone not privy to classified intelligence from the start: COVID emerged from a dingy communist lab in Wuhan, China, which was bankrolled by Anthony Fauci’s NIAID through grants for gain-of-function research awarded to “nonprofit” EcoHealth Alliance, run by Anthony Fauci’s close friend, Peter Daszak.

Via The New York Times (emphasis added):

The C.I.A. has said for years that it did not have enough information to conclude whether the Covid pandemic emerged naturally from a wet market in Wuhan, China, or from an accidental leak at a research lab there.

But the agency issued a new assessment this week, with analysts saying they now favor the lab theory.

There is no new intelligence behind the agency’s shift, officials said. Rather it is based on the same evidence it has been chewing over for months.

The analysis, however, is based in part on a closer look at the conditions in the high security labs in Wuhan province before the pandemic outbreak, according to people familiar with the agency’s work.

What curious and serendipitous timing that the CIA changes its official position on COVID origins just as Trump takes office!

CIA Director Ratcliffe Vows to Uncover COVID Origins, Combat Chinese Influence.

Newly confirmed Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director John Ratcliffe is launching a probe into what the United States intelligence community knew regarding the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, Radcliffe is directing investigators to review evidence held by the CIA and others that indicated the virus leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.

The CIA has faced scrutiny regarding its analysis of COVID-19’s origins. Allegations surfaced that agency analysts were influenced to dismiss the possibility of a lab leak. While the virus’s emergence in China is undisputed, the lab-origin theory has gained renewed attention.

Ratcliffe, who was sworn in after his confirmation on Thursday, also slammed his predecessor, John Brennan, for leading the agency astray during President Barack Obama’s tenure. “It would be fair to say his tenure was one of the worst things that has ever happened to the agency,” the new CIA director said.

Threats posed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) will also be a top priority under Ratcliffe. He highlighted, referencing conversations with President Donald Trump, the significance of understanding the origins of COVID-19, which he believes are linked to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Ratcliffe has committed to addressing this issue transparently and promptly.

Trump to Halt Gain-of-Function Viral Research Via Executive Order, Per Report

Of course, the big news comes with possibly an even bigger caveat: according to the WSJ’s source, bird flu might be exempt from the temporary ban, which would beg the question: why?

If the gain-of-function pause should apply to anything, it should be to the virus that the public health authorities have promised over and over and over would be the trigger for pandemic 2.0.

This is not a permanent ban, and ostensibly it does not apply to private-sector actors.

But let’s not look a gift horse in the mouth.

Via Wall Street Journal (emphasis added):

The Trump administration is preparing an executive order that would halt federal funding, at least temporarily, for a risky and controversial kind of research into viruses that makes the pathogens more dangerous or contagious.

The goal of the order would be to stop scientists with U.S. funding from conducting “gain-of-function” research on viruses that could endanger human health, people familiar with the plans said.

Some viruses, such as the H5N1 bird-flu pathogen, might be exempt from the order, one of the people said.

The order hasn’t been finalized, and its specifics are a work in progress, the person said.

*Some Republicans have blamed the Covid-19 pandemic on gain-of-function research. Defenders say it helps scientists assess the potential of pathogens to infect humans and find ways to combat them.

“Some Republicans” blame COVID-19 on gain-of-function research? How about various American spy agencies, the House Oversight Committee that did a two-year investigation into the issue, and “anyone with common sense”?

WHO Top Scientist Was ‘Primary Collaborator’ of Peter Daszak — the Researcher Under HHS Scrutiny for Coronavirus Experiments in Wuhan

Jeremy Farrar — chief scientific officer of the World Health Organization (WHO) and a central figure in efforts to suppress speculation about a possible lab origin of COVID-19 — collaborated on a viral discovery project in Southeast Asia involving Peter Daszak, a scientist at the center of that speculation, according to grant documents.

A 2010 National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant proposal describes Farrar as the “primary collaborator” in Vietnam of a controversial organization that has come under scrutiny for its work on novel coronaviruses with the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The organization was then called the Wildlife Trust, but would soon be renamed EcoHealth Alliance.

At the time of the 2010 grant proposal, Daszak was the president of the Wildlife Trust, while Farrar helmed the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where he had worked as a clinician since 1996.

The Oxford team was slated to ship its samples to a lab at Columbia University, not to Wuhan.

Still, the apparent connection between Farrar and Daszak — who faces possible debarment from U.S. tax dollars — could present a previously unknown conflict of interest on the pandemic origins question at the highest levels of the WHO.

Both Daszak and EcoHealth are under debarment proceedings by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for inadequate oversight of high-risk coronavirus research in Wuhan.

The revelation comes at a time of uncertainty about the future of the U.S. relationship with the WHO. The Financial Times reported that the incoming Trump administration could announce a withdrawal from the organization as early as day one. Farrar became the chief scientist at the WHO in May 2023.

A second WHO investigation into the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic — launched after Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said publicly that the first investigation’s findings, including that a lab origin was “extremely unlikely,” had been inadequate — has been delayed for years.

Reached for comment, WHO spokesperson Tarik Jasarevic did not respond to questions about the apparent Farrar-Daszak partnership.

On the future of the U.S. relationship with the WHO, Jasarevic pointed to comments Tedros made in early December 2024 stating that “I think it would be good to give them some space for the transition and I hope, I believe they will do the right thing.”

On the second phase investigation, Jasarevic said that the group of global scientists charged with the report, the Scientific Advisory Group for the Origins of Novel Pathogens, “is currently working on an independent assessment of the origins of SARS-CoV-2 … We don’t know when it will be completed.”

Farrar and Daszak did not respond to emailed questions.

HHS Cuts Federal Funding to EcoHealth Alliance, ‘Nonprofit’ That Bankrolled Wuhan Lab

Ahead of Trump taking office, it looks as if the Department of Health and Human Services might be in a little bit of a burn-the-records-and-clean-house-before-the-SHTF mode, if for no other purpose than to give the appearance, at the eleventh hour, that it takes its fiduciary responsibilities seriously — which, of course, it doesn’t, and hasn’t for a very long time, including the last four years under the Biden regime.

Peter Daszak, COVID arch-villain and close confidant of Anthony Fauci, through whom Fauci funded government cash to the Wuhan lab that almost certainly sparked the global pandemic, is now officially cut off from receiving federal funds for at least five years, as well as EcoHealth Alliance, his “nonprofit.”

Via House Oversight Committee (emphasis added):

Today, after an eight-month investigation, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) cut off all funding and formally debarred EcoHealth Alliance Inc. (EcoHealth) and its former President, Dr. Peter Daszak, for five years based on evidence uncovered by the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. In a new letter, HHS states “that a period of debarment for Dr. Daszak is necessary to protect the Federal Government’s business interests.” This letter also confirms that EcoHealth terminated Dr. Daszak’s employment effective January 6, 2024. EcoHealth and Dr. Daszak facilitated gain-of-function research in Wuhan, China without proper oversight and willingly violated multiple requirements of its multimillion-dollar National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant.
