Scientists probing ‘alien’ mummies make shocking discovery inside womb of corpse

The mystery surrounding the bizarre ‘alien‘ mummies found in Peru has deepened after scientists claimed they discovered a fetus inside the womb of one of the ‘corpses’.

Dozens of mummified bodies were found in the Nazca desert in 2017 by a local named Leandro Rivera, sparking years of investigation into their origins.

The other-worldly figures were later found to have metal implants in their three-fingered hands and elongated heads.

However, other scientists who claimed to have analyzed the specimens determined the ‘mummies’ were dolls made from animal bones fused with modern glue.

But Dr David Ruiz Vela, a lead expert investigating the alleged remains, has now revealed that his team discovered a fetus inside a mummy named Montserrat while analyzing the remains at a radiology center in Lima.

Dr Ruiz Vela believes Montserrat died 1,200 years ago.

CT scans captured the ‘fetus’ lying on its back, with its head down near the belly area and chest with its arms closer to the pelvic region.

Scientists suggested its bones were still soft, just starting to harden, when Montserrat died, leaving parts of the spine and ribs unable to fuse together.

‘Sacred’ pyramid built by forgotten civilization in Amazon rainforest may be world’s tallest ancient structure

A strange peak in the middle of the Amazon rainforest may actually be the largest pyramid ever built in the ancient world.

Known as Cerro El Cono, this massive, pyramid-shaped formation is cloaked in mystery due to both its striking structure and the extreme difficulty of reaching it.

The 1,310-foot-tall, pyramid-shaped hill sits in Peru’s Sierra del Divisor National Park, near the Ucayali River in the Amazon.

Unlike other mountains, however, this extremely steep peak has a set of distinct flat surfaces – like the Great Pyramid of Giza – which have been covered by vegetation over the centuries.

Moreover, this one great peak sticks out from the completely flat rainforest around it, adding to the speculation that Cerro El Cono may not be a natural formation.

While scientists believe the giant hill is just a geological oddity, possibly a volcano or natural rock formation, local Indigenous tribes revere Cerro El Cono as a sacred mountain spirit which protects their communities, calling it ‘Andean Apu.’

This ancient tradition of worshipping mountain spirits dates back to a time before the Inca Empire, between 500 and 1000 CE, but another theory surrounding Cerro El Cono predates even these ancient myths.

Although the few studies of this area have yet to find evidence to prove it, local legends claim that Cerro El Cono sits on the ruins of an ancient pyramid built by a long forgotten civilization that lived in the Amazon.

Archaeologists Unearth 5,000 Year-Old Tomb That’s Challenging Beliefs About Ancient Society

Buried for five millennia and forgotten beneath what was once a coastal dump, the tomb of a powerful woman from Peru’s ancient Caral civilization has just resurfaced—and it’s rewriting the script on who held status at the dawn of American civilization. This discovery offers fresh insight into a society that may have valued women’s roles far more than history has given credit for.

“This is an important burial because it has elements that correspond to a woman of high status,” archaeologist David Palomino told Reuters. The find was made in Áspero, a site once used as a municipal dump just 112 miles north of Lima, along the Pacific coast. A video of the tomb and women’s findings was shared via @ntc’s Instagram Post.

Far from an ordinary burial, the woman—believed to have died between the ages of 20 and 35—was wrapped with extraordinary care, her body still preserving traces of skin, hair, and even fingernails. She was covered in a mantle woven with blue and brown feathers, possibly from Amazonian macaws, and buried alongside baskets filled with offerings, vases, gourds, and even a toucan’s beak.

Palomino believes the details of the tomb point to more than just individual status—they hint at broader cultural values. “Not only men had an important association in this civilization,” he said, “but this was also complementary with that of women.”

The Caral civilization, active around 3000 B.C., thrived in isolation at the same time as the Egyptian pyramids were rising and Mesopotamia was inventing writing. But unlike those ancient giants, Caral developed without influence from other parts of the world. That makes this discovery all the more fascinating: it suggests gender roles may have been more balanced than previously assumed in one of humanity’s earliest urban experiments.

The site of the tomb—once a forgotten dump—now tells a much older, richer story. And it’s one that might just shift the way we think about power, prestige, and the role of women at the dawn of civilization. The artifacts below were found alongside the burial site at Aspero and serve as physical proof of that the oldest city in the Americas was more advanced than some countries in modern day today.

U.S. Embassy Warns Americans Not To Use Traditional Psychedelics In Peru, Including Ayahuasca

The U.S. embassy in Lima, Peru, is warning Americans against a traditional psychedelic known as ayahuasca, cautioning that the mixture “is a psychoactive substance containing dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a strong hallucinogen that is illegal in the United States and many other countries.”

Officials argued that using ayahuasca or kambo—a psychoactive substance derived from some frogs—can cause negative health effects and increase risks of sexual assault, robbery and other hazards.

“These dangerous substances are often marketed to travelers in Peru as ‘ceremonial’ or ‘spiritual cleansers,’” embassy officials wrote in a late January health alert to U.S. citizens, adding: “Facilities or groups offering ayahuasca/kambo are not regulated by the Peruvian government and may not follow health and safety laws or practices.”

As for ayahuasca—a mixture of botanical ingredients that contains DMT—the alert says the substance “can cause several negative health effects, including nausea, vomiting, increased heart rate, and even death.  Some of the long-term effects include psychosis, difficulty sleeping, neurological diseases, and ongoing hallucinations.”

“In 2024, several U.S. citizens died or experienced severe illness, including mental health episodes, following consumption of ayahuasca,” it continues. “These incidents often occur in remote areas near or within the Peruvian Amazon, far away from modern medical facilities. The limited connectivity and limited access to emergency services and hospitals increases the risks.”

Scientists studying ‘alien mummies’ from Peru claim bodies are ‘100% real’ after new details emerge

The ‘alien mummies’ discovered in Peru have largely been dismissed as a hoax by the scientific community, but researchers studying the specimens believe otherwise.

Dr José Zalce, former director of the Mexican Navy Medical Department, has analyzed 21 of the strange bodies, finding ‘fingerprints, bone wear, dental formations, muscular features and internal organs – proving they’re 100 percent real biological organisms.’

He even claimed some were pregnant, ‘making them impossible to fake or replicate fraudulently,’ said Zalce who has testified under oath that the mummies are real following his six years of work with them.

Recent scans of a ‘pregnant’ mummy revealed what appeared to be an intact fetus that had the same physical characteristics of the corpses, which the team said was proof of authenticity.

The mummies first exploded on the scene when controversial UFO enthusiast and journalist Jaime Maussan ushered two small beings into Mexico Congress in 2023.

He claimed they were not part of ‘our terrestrial evolution’, with 30 percent of their genetic composition still ‘unknown.’

Dr Zalce and his team, however,  have performed X-rays, CT scans with 3D reconstruction, fluoroscopy, DNA analysis, forensic fingerprinting and tissue sample examinations on each body for the last six years.

‘These confirm with 100 percent certainty their organic, biofunctional, and skeletal anatomical authenticity,’ Dr Zalce told DailyMail.com.

Huge Ancient Inca Underground Labyrinth Discovered Beneath Cusco, Starting At Sun Temple

After centuries of rumor and speculation, archaeologists have finally confirmed the existence of a colossal underground tunnel system beneath the Peruvian city of Cusco. Built by the ancient Inca, the labyrinth – or Chincana – radiates outwards from the Temple of the Sun, extending for more than a mile towards a fortress on the edge of the city.

The discovery was announced at a press conference during which researchers explained how they located the subterranean passages in three stages. The first of these involved studying historical texts from the 16th to 18th centuries in search of references to the Chincana and its whereabouts.

Among the most enlightening accounts was one written by an anonymous Spanish Jesuit in 1594, who explained that the main tunnel ran beneath the bishop’s houses behind Cusco Cathedral. The same text indicated that the passageway began at the Temple of the Sun – or Coricancha – and ended at the citadel of Sacsahuaman, some 1.75 kilometers (1.1 miles) away.

Experts dissecting ‘alien mummies’ from Peru make bizarre discovery — as legitimacy questions swirl

Experts have begun dissecting humanoid, three-fingered “alien mummies” found in Peru last year — uncovering what they say could be a metallic “alien implant” wedged onto the specimen’s hand, according to a report.

Dr. Jose Zalce Benitez, a Mexican Navy forensic doctor, removed the “light metal” implant from the specimen, referred to as the “Nazca Tridactyls” after the Peru region where they were believed to have been taken from, according to the Daily Mail.

Video shows the physician removing the apparent implant from the mummified three-fingered hand, revealing two of its metacarpal, or palm bones.

“It is a very complex metal alloy that requires special knowledge and techniques to be able to achieve it with such quality and purity,” Dr. Zalce told the outlet.

The expert said he identified elements including aluminum, tin, silver, copper, cadmium, and osmium in the metal implant.

“This tridactyl hand, from which I obtained the metal, does not belong to any of the bodies presented at the Mexican Congress,” Dr. Zalce told the outlet.

‘Knife-wielding orca’ and alien-looking figures among 300 Nazca Lines discovered in groundbreaking AI study

Scientists have discovered more than 300 never-before-seen Nazca Lines in Peru — including alien-looking humanoid figures, decapitated heads, potential historic ceremonies and a surprisingly well-armed orca.

The staggering new haul was unearthed in just six months with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) and almost doubles the number of known geoglyphs in the region.

The Nazca Lines are a group of large human-carved geoglyphs located in a roughly 170-square-mile (440 square kilometers) area of Peru’s Nazca Desert. The ancient artworks were likely created between 200 B.C. to A.D. 500 by members of the pre-Incan civilization, known as the Nazca (or Nasca), who removed the upper layers of the desert’s red-tinged surface pebbles to reveal sections of lighter soil in a wide range of different shapes and sizes.

Researchers had already found around 430 Nazca Lines since the mysterious shapes were rediscovered by airplane passengers in the 1920s. Most of these geoglyphs were identified in the last 20 years thanks to advancements in satellite imagery. However, the rate at which new lines are being discovered has started to slow, and researchers suspect that any remaining shapes are too faint to be easily spotted by the human eye.

US Congress to investigate controversial Peru ‘alien’ mummies amid fears they could be linked to UFOs

Peru’s famous ‘alien mummies’ are set for the US, where Congress has pledged to crack the mysterious cases once and for all.

Republican Tim Burchett, known for his outspoken criticism of the US government’s UFO secrecy, vowed to assemble ‘the most important people in the world’ to examine the bodies, which some scientists claim harbor ’30 percent unknown’ DNA.

The congressman said he would initiate this new analysis at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in his home state.

The team at Tennessee have obtained half-a-million dollars from the Department of Justice late last year to better understand skeletal remains and ‘relic DNA.’

Though Rep. Burchett has not called the bodies ‘alien‘ yet, his plan is sure to spark furor akin to the firestorm that accompanied the mummies’ debut before Mexico’s Congress last September.

Legal experts also told DailyMail.com that, despite Rep. Burchett’s best efforts, US treaty agreements with Peru could delay transnational shipping of the eerie remains.

The Republican lawmaker made his pledge to veteran Mexican broadcast journalist and prolific UFO researcher Jaime Maussan in a new interview, which aired Monday.

‘I will gladly help you,’ Rep. Burchett said during his appearance on Maussan’s ‘No Humano’ (‘Non-Human’), ‘help you find someone that would analyze them.’

‘I would also be interested in getting some people to analyze those bodies that are independent of the federal government,’ the congressman added, echoing myriad past comments in which he has accused federal officials of a UFO ‘cover up.’

‘We will look for the most important people in the world,’ Rep Burchett said, in the Spanish-translated interview, ‘right here in Tennessee.’

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville — the school that the congressman referenced as a likely candidate for this work — is home to an internationally recognized center for the forensic examination of human remains: the ‘Body Farm.’

Last December, the US Department of Justice’s R&D agency, the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), awarded two grants to the Farm, more formally known as UT’s Forensic Anthropology Center, totaling more than $580,000.

Mystery around controversial Peru ‘alien mummies’ deepens after new fingerprint analysis indicates they’re NOT ‘HUMAN’

Bizarre diagonal grooves along the fingertips and toes of one of Peru’s eerie and hotly debated ‘alien mummies’ points to a nonhuman origin for these odd remains.

Worldwide controversy has followed the small peculiar specimens since September, when veteran broadcast journalist and prolific UFO researcher Jaime Maussan first presented two alleged ‘alien’ corpses to Mexico’s congress last year.

Now DailyMail.com has spoken to a former Colorado prosecutor and current defense attorney, who has examined one of the over half-a-dozen ‘alien’ specimens with the help of three independent forensic medical examiners from the United States.

‘These were not traditional human fingerprint patterns,’ that attorney, Joshua McDowell, told DailyMail.com.

The use of fingerprints — or what are technically known as ‘friction ridge’ skin impressions — dates back as far as 300 BC in China according to the US Department of Justice’s Fingerprint Sourcebook.

And criminal forensic investigators in America have long systematized the hunt for unique features ever since these patterns first came into use by US law enforcement in 1902, beginning with three broad types of fingerprint: arches, loops and whorls.

But ‘María,’ the so-called ‘alien‘ mummy that McDowell and his forensic doctors examined, appeared to have fingerprints that matched no known human pattern.

‘We did not see any loops or whorls on the prints of the fingers or on the toes,’ McDowell, now principal at the McDowell Law Firm, told DailyMail.com.

‘I’m a former prosecutor. I’m a criminal defense attorney. I’ve seen lots of fingerprints. And these were not classic fingerprints,’ the attorney added.

‘María’s fingerprints weren’t consistent with human prints.’
