New York Times Admits Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz Oversaw ‘Staggering’ Levels Social Security Fraud — Over $1 Billion Stolen by Somali Migrants

The left-wing New York Times has admitted that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz oversaw a “staggering” level of fraud across the state’s social services.

In a piece published on Saturday, the Times argued that Walz, who last year became one of the least successful vice-presidental nominees in living memory, had overseen a level of fraud “staggering in its scale and brazenness,” largely by the state’s Somali community.

Their report states:

Over the last five years, law enforcement officials say, fraud took root in pockets of Minnesota’s Somali diaspora as scores of individuals made small fortunes by setting up companies that billed state agencies for millions of dollars’ worth of social services that were never provided.

Federal prosecutors say that 59 people have been convicted in those schemes so far, and that more than $1 billion in taxpayers’ money has been stolen in three plots they are investigating.

That is more than Minnesota spends annually to run its Department of Corrections. Minnesota’s fraud scandal stood out even in the context of rampant theft during the pandemic, when Americans stole tens of billions through unemployment benefits, business loans and other forms of aid, according to federal auditors.

Outrage has swelled among Minnesotans, and fraud has turned into a potent political issue in a competitive campaign season. Gov. Tim Walz and fellow Democrats are being asked to explain how so much money was stolen on their watch, providing Republicans, who hope to take back the governor’s office in 2026, with a powerful line of attack.

However, Walz is unwilling to confront the issue over his fear of losing Somali voting base, who may seek to replace him with an even more radical candidate of their own, most likely in the style of Congesswoman Ilhan Omar.

‘We Are Being Forced to Fund Our Own Destruction’: The Massive Amount of Taxpayer Dollars Behind Afghan Resettlement Program That Brought National Guard Shooter to U.S.

The two West Virginia National Guard members were ambushed and shot near the White House on Wednesday by an Afghan national who was resettled in the United States through a Biden-era program funded entirely by American taxpayers.

Spc. Sarah Beckstrom, 20, succumbed to her injuries on Thanksgiving, while Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains in critical condition.

This incident underscores a harsh reality: billions in U.S. tax dollars have been poured into resettling tens of thousands of Afghans, some of whom pose a direct threat to American lives and security.

Author and political commentator Mike Cernovich shared a post breaking down the cost and wrote, “We are being forced to fund our own destruction.”

The shooter, 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal, entered the U.S. in September 2021 under Operation Allies Welcome (OAW), a hasty resettlement initiative launched by the Biden administration following the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal.

Lakanwal, who had previously worked with the CIA and Afghan partner forces in Kandahar, drove cross-country from his home in Bellingham, Washington, to carry out what authorities describe as a targeted ambush.

Since 2021, the U.S. government has spent over $14 billion on Afghan evacuees, including $8.7 billion specifically for OAW through the Departments of Defense, Health and Human Services, and Homeland Security.

An additional $5.3 billion went to its successor, Enduring Welcome.

A 2021 Department of Defense contract awarded nearly $974 million, with $888 million outlayed, to URS Federal Services International for OAW refugee support at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.

White House Debunks Critiques With Immigration Law

After President Donald Trump announced a pause on immigration from Third-World countries and particularly Afghanistan, leftists blew their tops. But Trump has the law on his side.

Trump’s White House fired back at critics not with a lengthy diatribe, but by simply quoting from the Immigration and Nationality Act, Section 212(f). This explicitly allows the president of the United States to suspend entrance of a group of aliens deemed dangerous to national security and national interests.

The section above-mentioned, and posted on X by the White House, says:

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

It is striking that many leftists are raising a greater furor over the restrictions on immigration than they did over an Afghan migrant illegally present in America murdering a National Guardsman in a targeted attack. Yet one more proof of the fact that Democrats hate American citizens, and enthusiastically side with terrorists and murderers.

Trump shared an article from Just the News about the massive vetting failures of Operation Allies Welcome, though which the Afghan murderers entered America. Just the News explained:

The program was widely criticized by members of Congress for allowing as many as 85,000 Afghans to come into the country quickly without complete vetting, and officials said Lakanwal was among those to enter during that timeframe.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stated, “The suspect who shot our brave National Guardsmen is an Afghan national who was one of the many unvetted, mass paroled into the United States under Operation Allies Welcome on September 8, 2021, under the Biden Administration.”

ICE Deports Dallas Muslim ‘Leader’ Over Hamas-Linked ‘Donations’

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has deported a prominent Dallas Muslim leader for funneling donations to a Hamas-linked nonprofit, marking another strike in the Trump administration’s war on terror financing amid broader immigration overhauls.

The DHS notes that “this individual presented a threat to public safety and national security,” citing Marouf’s donations to the Holy Land Foundation, a group that was designated as a “terrorist organization” by the Bush Administration in 2001.

Economic Doom Loop: Leftist UK Gov’t to Raise Taxes to All Time High, While Increasing Welfare and Migration Handouts

The leftist Labour Party government in Britain announced £26 billion in tax hikes as a part of its autumn budget, which will take the tax burden to an all time high over the next five years.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves, the Labour government’s top cabinet minister on the economy, unveiled Wednesday her long-anticipated budget, which will see millions of Britons see their taxes increased despite the leftist party’s promise to focus on growth and to protect workers from paying more in tax.

While Reeves did not technically raise income taxes — as it would have been a direct contradiction of the party’s 2024 election manifesto — her budget extends the income tax threshold freeze, resulting in what is known as fiscal drag, a process by which workers are brought into higher tax bands as a result of inflation or pay growth.

According to the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR), which controversially leaked the details of Reeves’ plan prior to the announcement, the extension of the freeze announced on Wednesday will see an estimated 920,000 more workers paying the 40 per cent income tax rate by 2029-30 compared to projections in March. Similarly, some 780,000 more people will be forced into paying income tax for the first time at the lowest 20 per cent rate, The Times reported.

As a result, income tax will increase from 10.5 per cent of GDP to 11.8 per cent by 2030-31. In total, the overall tax burden will climb from 34.7 per cent to an all time high of 38 per cent of GDP by 2031 after the £26 billion in tax hikes are factored in.

The government attempted to ameliorate anger over the cost of living by announcing q £150 reduction in energy payments, and an increase to the national minimum wage, which critics warn may hurt employment numbers. In a further populist measure, the government will introduce a so-called “mansion tax” on properties worth over £2 million. However, some have warned that this will further exacerbate the exodus of millionaires from the country.

Radical Democrat judge Sarah West, appointed by former Democrat Governor Mark Dayton, has tossed out a jury’s unanimous guilty verdict, setting free Abdifatah Yusuf, a Somali immigrant convicted of masterminding a massive Medicaid fraud ring that siphoned off $7.2 million from taxpayers.

A jury had found Yusuf guilty in August on six counts of aiding and abetting theft by swindle, following evidence that his home-healthcare company billed Medicaid for hundreds of thousands dollars in “phantom” care, padding bills for services never delivered.

Prosecutors documented that many of those funds were funneled into luxury cars, high-end clothing, and other extravagant personal purchases.

But Judge West, rather than upholding the jury’s verdict, claimed the case hinged on circumstantial evidence and offered “other reasonable inferences” for the billing irregularities, arguing prosecutors failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Yusuf was personally responsible for the fraud. She issued a judgment of acquittal.

Jurors, prosecutors, and state lawmakers were stunned. One juror told reporters he believed the evidence demonstrated “obvious guilt.” The state’s Attorney General has already filed an appeal, warning the decision undermines public trust.

Essen itself went from expecting a tiny surplus to a €123 million black hole in a single year—proof that globalist open-border policies, combined with Germany’s exceedingly generous social welfare programs, have destroyed the nation’s finances overnight.

The main culprit? The unrelenting stream migrants, the majority of whom are welfare-dependent military-aged men. So-called ‘refugee’ housing, welfare, and integration efforts alone devour at least €50 billion a year nationwide, and that’s the official low-ball figure.
