Federal judge blocks Trump from requiring Americans to provide proof of citizenship to vote

Afederal judge in Washington, D.C., on Friday blocked a part of one of President Donald Trump’s executive orders that required voters to show proof of citizenship through passports or other documents before voting.

The ruling comes in response to a controversial March executive order that intended to overhaul federal elections. Multiple lawsuits have been filed to block different aspects of the order, including a part that bars states from counting mail-in ballots received after Election Day.

U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly declined to block the part related to counting the mail-in ballots, but did permanently block the proof of citizenship aspect, which was brought by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

The judge ruled that the portion was illegal because the U.S. Constitution gives states, not the president, the power to oversee elections, according to Reuters.

“While we celebrate this victory, we remain vigilant and will keep fighting to ensure every eligible voter can make their voice heard without interference or intimidation,” ACLU’s Sophia Lin Lakin said. “No president can sidestep the Constitution to make it harder to vote.”

The White House and Trump have not yet commented on the ruling.

Sanctuary State Illinois: Illegal Alien Accused of Killing GOP Elected Official and His Wife in Fatal Crash

In the sanctuary state of Illinois, where Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) has attempted to impede federal immigration enforcement, an illegal alien is accused of killing a Republican elected official and his wife in Coles County.

Police say that 34-year-old illegal alien Edwin Pacheco-Meza of Honduras was driving a van on Oct. 24 when he crossed the center lane and struck 71-year-old Michael Clayton and his wife, 66-year-old Gail Clayton — killing them instantly.

Michael Clayton was a Republican elected official who served on the Coles County Board.

“Mike and Gail were a team in every sense. Together, they lived their lives with strong values, unwavering love for family, and a deep dedication to their hometown,” the couple’s obituary reads:

They believed in supporting the Charleston community and keeping their business local whenever possible. Whether it was groceries, gifts, or meals, they always chose local shops and markets, proudly supporting small businesses and encouraging others to do the same. They were familiar faces at the Charleston Farmer’s Market, always taking time to visit with neighbors and friends.
[Emphasis added]

Pacheco-Meza, who crossed the southern border as an unknown got-away, was in his vehicle with 18-year-old illegal alien Juan Morales-Martinez of Guatemala, who crossed the border in December 2023 and was released into the United States interior by the Biden administration.

The illegal aliens were found with an extended magazine, firearm ammunition, drugs, and an open container of alcohol in their vehicle, police say.

Pacheco-Meza was charged with reckless homicide and drunk driving, while Morales-Martinez was charged with drug possession and weapons violations.

After they were arrested, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged detainers against the illegal aliens, seeking custody of them, but the detainers were ignored by the Clark County Jail thanks to Pritzker’s sanctuary state policy.

Still, ICE agents waited for Morales-Martinez to be released from jail and arrested him outside of the jail. Pacheco-Meza remains in Clark County Jail.

London Police Suggest Sharing Afghan Migrant MURDER Video Is “MISINFORMATION”

Following the brutal and senseless murder of a man out walking his dog in West London by an Afghan illegal migrant, London police are urging the public not to share footage of the incident.

As we highlighted, this latest horrific attack was carried out seemingly completely randomly.

While many reacted to the incident with anger, others expressed a feeling of abandonment and total fear to step out their front doors.

Because video of the barbaric attack was captured and shared online, it has only heightened these concerns.

Now London’s Metropolitan Police are suggesting that everyone sharing the video is encouraging the spread of “misinformation.”

In a statement, Chief Superintendent Jill Horsfall said “I am aware of footage circulating online that relates to yesterday’s incident in Uxbridge. I would urge people to stop circulating this on social media.”

The reason they don’t want people to see it?

“In order to avoid speculation and further misinformation, we can confirm that the suspect lived in a private residential address.”

So not in a migrant hotel. Right, but why does that mean people shouldn’t see what this crazed savage who arrived in the country illegally did?

The statement continues, “Our priority is securing justice for the man who sadly died and the others who were injured during this incident. Sharing this footage could impede future court proceedings and cause further distress to those directly impacted by these events, as well as their loved ones.”

“Please be considerate with what you are sharing online, and keep up to date with our news website for any accurate updates on this incident,” the statement concludes.

Appeals Court to Lefty Judge and Her Insane Border Patrol Ruling: Lady, You’re Not Doing This Right Now

A federal appeals court ruled that a lunatic judge’s ruling for the Border Patrol can be ignored at this time. Judge Sarah Ellis decided that she had appointed herself the chief of operations for immigration enforcement at the Department of Homeland Security with her silly ruling about mandatory body cameras for ICE agents. On this ruling, she ordered Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino to meet with her daily. Luckily, the Seventh Circuit put the kibosh on that, at least for now (via CBS News).

A federal appeals court granted a request from the U.S. Department of Justice for an administrative stay pausing an order that requires Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino to meet in person with Judge Sara Ellis each day.

Judge Ellis ordered the meetings after a hearing on Tuesday in federal court over alleged violations by Bovino and other federal agents of her temporary restraining order largely prohibiting the use of tear gas and other riot control measures on journalists, protesters and clergy during Operation Midway Blitz in Chicago.

In response to numerous filings regarding violations of that order, Ellis instructed Bovino to meet with her every weekday evening to go over the events of the day until a preliminary injunction hearing on Nov. 5.

In their filing to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, lawyers for the government argue the order “far exceeds the recognized bounds of discovery” and “significantly interferes” with Bovino’s function, which the government argues is “ensuring the Nation’s immigration laws are properly enforced.”

They also argue the meetings are “untethered to the plaintiffs’ underlying claims” and go beyond reasonable necessity to comply with the court orders already in place.

“Petrified” Woman Details Brutal Reality Of Lawless, Borderless Britain

A clip of a TalkTV caller from London has gone viral after she expressed her extreme distress over rising violence in her area, particularly stabbings, in the wake of yet another horrific incident Tuesday.

As we earlier highlighted, an innocent man walking his dog in West London was brutally stabbed to death for no reason whatsoever by an illegal Afghan migrant, with two others being seriously injured by the knife wielding maniac.

It was quickly ascertained that the suspect arrived into the country completely illegally on the back of a lorry, yet was granted leave to remain in 2022.

The caller, a woman named Sarah, was explained that she lives near Hillingdon, the area where the attack yesterday was carried out.

She noted that since moving into her house in 2019, her local shop has experienced three stabbings and one murder.

“My friend was murdered last year up on The High Street. A girl that I know was murdered in South Ball Park. Government are failing us. We’re scared for our children,” the caller urged.

“I have a 22-year old son and I’m begging him to move out of this country,” she continued, adding “What are these politicians doing to us? They’re putting our children in so much danger. They put everyone in danger and they’re doing nothing to help us.”

MAJOR FAFO: DOJ Announces Federal Charges Against 10 Anti-ICE Protestors Who Ambushed Law Enforcement During Raid on California Pot Farm

The Justice Department on Wednesday announced federal charges against 10 anti-ICE protestors who ambushed law enforcement officers during a raid on a California pot farm over the summer.

Federal agents descended on two marijuana farms in Ventura County owned Glass House Farms located in Camarillo and Carpinteria in Southern California over the summer.

According to reports, anti-ICE protestors were tipped off to the raid after federal agents obtained a search warrant on the marijuana farm.

Amid the chaos, a protestor was caught on video shooting at federal agents. No one was struck by the gunfire.

The anti-ICE rioter who fired shots at federal agents is still at large.

Per the DOJ:

Law enforcement has arrested a total of 10 defendants federally charged in three criminal complaints with engaging in violence and civil disorder against law enforcement officers and property during immigration enforcement actions in Southern California earlier this year, the Justice Department announced today.

Ten defendants are in federal custody. One defendant is in state custody and is expected to be handed over to federal authorities. One defendant is a fugitive. All 12 defendants are charged with federal crimes alleging they committed violence against law enforcement authorities and property.

Illegals vs. the Deserving American Poor

The other day I was driving on a small mountain road and came upon a road construction project. At both ends of the work the flag crew consisted of two older women bundled up against the cold — yes, it’s starting to get cold in the Colorado mountains.

What struck me was their age. They were surprisingly old. I have never met these women in my life, but I’d bet a lot of money they were out working on this job not because they like the fresh air but because they need the money.

You see the same thing in Walmart, grocery, and other retail stores, and in thousands of other unseen occupations. Older workers struggling to get by, doing whatever jobs are open to people of their age and ability.

And it annoys me beyond belief. I would also bet a lot of money that the vast majority of these people either personally bled for this country or have relatives who have — far too many actually giving their lives for this great country.

What greater sacrifice can one make for their country? I can think of none. Yet these people are kicked to the curb by our government and the elites while money that could go to them is instead showered as free stuff for illegal aliens.

Remember, that’s what the illegal part is all about — they shouldn’t have been allowed in the country in the first place.

What could Social Security payments and others be if all this money went to only U.S. citizens? A few hundred a month could make a huge difference in these citizens’ lives. Perhaps big decreases in health insurance costs for the average working schmoe?

Is there a greater insult a country could send to its citizens than this? You or your kin gave blood and sometimes lives for this country, but when in need, the sacrifice is ignored and non-citizen criminals — they broke the law coming here and they break it every day they remain — are placed ahead of you.

Indian Illegal Involved in Triple Fatality Crash Had REAL ID CDL; Needed Interpreter in Hearing

The Indian illegal-alien charged in the vehicular homicide of three motorists in California not only had a commercial driver’s license despite not speaking fluent English, but also had a REAL ID, which is not available to illegals.

Jashanpreet Singh, the beturbaned Third World Biden “migrant” who is charged with manslaughter while driving intoxicated, had both. He needed an interpreter in his first court hearing.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said that California ignored his order to enforce federal regulations regarding CDLs. On Friday, the department detailed the state’s refusal to keep Singh off the road in defiance of those regulations.

California Admits Error

Answering Fox News reporter Bill Melugin’s inquiry, the state admitted that it gave the REAL ID CDL to Singh because the federal government authorized it.

The state transportation agency claims that Singh received federal employment authorization that is valid until August 30, 2030.

“The DMV confirmed Mr. Jashanpreet Singh’s documents using the federal SAVE system,” the agency told Melugin. As well, “Singh’s commercial driver’s license is a federal REAL ID which he was entitled to receive given the federal government’s confirmation of his legal status,” the state continued. Thus, “California followed all federal and state laws in reviewing and granting him a California commercial driver’s license.”

SAVE is an online system that verifies “immigration status and U.S. citizenship of applicants seeking benefits or licenses,” its website says. However, SAVE “does not determine an applicant’s eligibility for a specific benefit or license.”

Continuing his X report, Melugin said he “asked them to clarify what they mean by the Feds’ confirmation of his legal status, as he is still in the U.S. illegally even if granted federal work authorization while his asylum case plays out.”

The answer appears to have been a canned reply, or something created by artificial intelligence that scraped the internet for state law.

Insult to Injury: Far-Left Illinois Congressional Candidate Who Got Wrecked by ICE Agent During Rowdy Protest Is Indicted by the Department of Justice

A far-left Illinois Democrat candidate has now received a double-dose of FAFO after trying to foolishly stop ICE agents from deporting illegal aliens.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Katherine Abughazaleh, who is running for Congress in Illinois’s 9th Congressional District, joined other anti-ICE protesters in Broadview last month to block a processing facility used by the agency.

Things quickly got out of control when an ICE agent lost a tear gas canister, which a protester picked up and threw in the direction of NewsNation reporter Ali Bradley.

Chaos continued to unfold when Abughazaleh decided to mess around with ICE. But one brave ICE agent stepped in and promptly took care of Abughazaleh.

As the video below shows, he forcibly dragged her away and proceeded to body slam her onto the ground. She ends up landing hard on her rear.

California Allows Illegals to Not Only Vote but Also Oversee Elections

In small local elections, illegal aliens are already allowed to vote. In larger, statewide elections such as the gubernatorial race, citizenship is verified through an affidavit system—essentially an honor system. Now, California Governor Newsom has signed a bill into law that will allow illegal aliens to oversee elections. The Democratic counterargument is: “No, that’s a myth. This legislation makes elections more secure.”

In July 2018, San Francisco began allowing noncitizens, including those without legal status, to register and vote in local school board elections. The measure, approved by voters in a 2016 referendum, permits only parents, legal guardians, or caregivers of children under 19 to vote in school board races. The program, set to expire after 2022 unless renewed, was justified by supporters who noted that about one-third of children in San Francisco’s public schools have foreign-born parents.

Opponents, including Republican officials, argued that voting should remain an exclusive right of citizens. Newly eligible voters must use a separate registration form warning that their information may be shared with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and advising them to consult an immigration attorney before registering, a requirement that may deter participation. The issue also surfaced in the California governor’s race, drawing national attention and criticism from politicians who said it undermined the principle that only citizens should vote.

Similar initiatives exist in other U.S. municipalities. Takoma Park, Maryland, has allowed noncitizen voting for over two decades, and several neighboring communities have adopted comparable policies. Advocates say these measures give immigrant families a voice in education decisions; however, in the U.S., the right to vote is restricted to citizens, not green card holders and not illegal aliens.

In California, San Francisco remains the only city where noncitizens can currently vote in limited local elections. Proposition N, passed in 2016 with 54 percent support, allows noncitizen parents or caregivers with children in the San Francisco Unified School District to vote in school board elections only. Oakland voters approved a similar measure in 2022 with 67 percent support, but as of late 2024, it had not yet been implemented. Santa Ana voters, however, rejected Measure DD in November 2024, which would have permitted noncitizens to vote in all municipal elections.

Important clarifications: San Francisco’s law applies only to school board elections, and noncitizen voters must complete a separate registration process. Their information is maintained in an entirely separate voter file, there is no mixing with state or federal voter rolls.

For presidential and gubernatorial elections in California, state law limits voting to U.S. citizens, but the system operates entirely on the honor system. Under California Elections Code Section 2111, a person proves citizenship by signing an affidavit of registration under penalty of perjury. In practice, this means voters simply check a box and sign. There is no verification of actual citizenship status.

A Santa Barbara County grand jury investigation confirmed that neither the state nor the counties require proof of citizenship to register. “We uncovered that there’s no requirement to provide proof of citizenship. You just sign off that line in the ballot that informs you of the potentials of felony perjury if you’re not eligible to register to vote,” said grand jury foreman Andrew Brown.

California ID numbers are matched with DMV records, and Social Security Numbers are checked against Social Security Administration records. However, citizenship itself is not verified. The system only confirms that the ID or SSN exists and matches the name and birthdate. It does not determine whether the registrant is actually a U.S. citizen.

California’s voter registration system functions entirely on self-declaration, an “honor system.” Registrants attest under penalty of perjury that they are citizens, but this statement is never cross-checked against any citizenship database. The only verification performed is that their identifying information exists in government systems. These rules apply to all elections in the state, including federal, state, and local races.

Section 2111 defines an affidavit of registration as proof of citizenship for voting purposes, allowing a signed declaration to serve as legal verification. County officials admit that while perjury is a felony, the process effectively depends on the honor system.

Legislative efforts such as AB 25 seek to repeal Section 2111 and require documented proof of citizenship to register. Liberal lawmakers have labeled the bill “Hitler” and “fascist” and, as expected, are dramatically opposed to passing it.
