Eric Swalwell to RESIGN from Congress after scathing sexual assault allegations as he admits ‘mistakes’

California Congressman Eric Swalwell has announced his intent to resign from Congress.

‘I am deeply sorry to my family, staff, and constituents for mistakes in judgment I’ve made in my past. I will fight the serious, false allegation made against me. However, I must take responsibility and ownership for the mistakes I did make,’ Swalwell wrote in a statement released Monday afternoon.

‘I am aware of efforts to bring an immediate expulsion vote against me and other members. Expelling anyone in Congress without due process, within days of an allegation being made, is wrong. But it’s also wrong for my constituents to have me distracted from my duties. Therefore, I plan to resign my seat in Congress,’ he added.

‘I will work with my staff in the coming days to ensure they are able, in my absence, to serve the needs of the good people of the 14th congressional district,’ he concluded.

Swalwell was set to face a new fight on Capitol Hill after being slapped with a fresh investigation following bombshell ‘sexual misconduct’ allegations.

The Ethics Committee opened an investigation into the top Democrat earlier on Monday, and pledged to ‘gather additional information regarding the allegations that Representative Eric Swalwell violated the Code of Official Conduct.’

The complaint states the investigation covers ‘allegations that he may have engaged in sexual misconduct, including towards an employee working under his supervision.’

The Committee also added ‘that the mere fact that it is investigating these allegations, and publicly disclosing its review, does not itself indicate that any violation has occurred.’

Billionaire kicks Eric Swalwell out of his mansion and wants $1M back after heinous sex allegations

Lefty billionaire Stephen Cloobeck dramatically cut ties with Eric Swalwell and revealed he has kicked him out of his mansion — hours before the congressman dropped his run for California governor.

“I am no longer supporting Eric,” Cloobeck told The Post in an exclusive interview. “F—ing tell everyone I’m a libertarian. F— you, Democrat Party. I’m a libertarian now.”

The ugly breakup between the timeshare mogul and Bay Area congressman — who pulled out of the governor’s race late Sunday — marks yet another stunning point in Swalwell’s cratering political career.

Following public allegations Friday of rape, sexual assault and other sexual misconduct made from several women who knew or worked for Swalwell, the Bay Area congressman lost most of his endorsements, he’s potentially facing expulsion from Congress and become the subject of a criminal investigation.

Cloobeck spent more than $1 million supporting Swalwell’s candidacy, and the embattled congressman filmed a denial video Friday from inside the billionaire’s palatial Beverly Hills mansion.

“Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli Obtains SHOCKING Video of Rep. Eric Swalwell Getting Intimate with Mystery Woman Who Is NOT His Wife

In yet another devastating blow to the already-imploding campaign of far-left California Rep. Eric Swalwell, American former pharmaceutical executive and hedge fund manager dubbed “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli has obtained explosive video footage showing the married Democrat congressman getting intimate with a mystery woman who is clearly not his wife.

The video captures Swalwell in a compromising situation that directly contradicts the image the sleazebag Democrat has tried to project while running for California governor.

Shkreli publicly reached out to Swalwell’s campaign on X (formerly Twitter) Saturday, stating he had received the video and was giving them a chance to comment before releasing it to the public.

Twenty minutes later, Shkreli posted the video of Swalwell getting intimate with an alleged sex worker.

Eric Swalwell paid illegal Brazilian live-in nanny under the table with campaign funds, complaint alleges

Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell — a frontrunner in the California governor’s race — has been accused of violating immigration and employment law to keep his illegal live-in Brazilian nanny in the country, according to a pair of recently filed complaints.

When his South American babysitter’s temporary work authorization was about to expire in 2022, he and wife Brittany Swalwell lied to the feds to keep Amanda Barbosa working for them, a new complaint filed Tuesday with the Department of Labor claimed.

Another complaint, filed to the Department of Homeland security in February and previously unreported, accuses Swalwell of paying the nanny under the table with campaign funds for a period of two years when she didn’t hold valid work authorization.

Barbosa appears in numerous social media photos with the Swalwell family throughout 2023 and 2024, indicating continued close association and ongoing childcare responsibilities despite the absence of known lawful work authorization,” the complaint to DHS, dated Feb. 16, alleged.

The embattled California gubernatorial hopeful first hired Barbosa, 33, in the fall of 2021 to look after his three children.

Creepy Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell is going down in flames.

Swalwell is currently running as a Democrat in California’s gubernatorial race.

Swalwell campaign imploding after new sexual assault allegation

Rep. Eric Swalwell’s campaign for governor was reeling Friday after two news reports detailed accusations of sexual assault and misconduct, with multiple staffers resigning and both prominent allies and rival candidates calling on the California Democrat to exit the race.

The exodus, which began just before the San Francisco Chronicle published a report detailing a former staffer’s claims, jolted California’s marquee race just weeks before ballots start landing in voters’ mailboxes. The former staffer told the newspaper that Swalwell had sexual encounters with her while working for him, and that he sexually assaulted her twice when she was too drunk to consent.

Hours later, CNN reported on that ex-staffer and three additional women who accused Swalwell of making sexual advances and sending explicit photos and messages. And POLITICO reported that a former Swalwell employee had signed an agreement over an employment discrimination claim that included confidentiality and non-disparagement clauses, despite his campaign saying no one on his staff signed an NDA during his tenure.

The dominoes tumbled quickly. Top staffers departed the campaign shortly before the Chronicle story published. Major endorsers began rescinding or pausing their support. And a pro-Swalwell independent expenditure committee said it was suspending operations.

Swalwell’s two campaign co-chairs, Reps. Jimmy Gomez and Adam Gray, called on Swalwell to drop out — a stunning rebuke from key surrogates who had helped introduce Swalwell to power players in Sacramento, where both served in the state Assembly.

“Today I learned shocking information about Eric Swalwell containing the ugliest and most serious accusations imaginable,” Gomez said in a statement. “My involvement in any campaign begins and ends with trust. I cannot in good conscience remain in any role with this campaign, and I am stepping down from it effective immediately.”

Far-left CBS News Runs Desperate Story to Shield Eric Swalwell

CBS News embarrassed itself Thursday by running a laughably desperate story to shield the creepy, fang-fanging, serial lying Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) from a whisper campaign about sexual misconduct allegations that are supposedly coming soon.

First, some background…

Several left-wing activists, led by Gen-Z for Change’s Cheyenne Hunt,  have spent the better part of a week claiming that a number of women are about to come forward to accuse California gubernatorial candidate Swalwell of various forms of sexual misconduct.

“The number of credible women who have come forward since I posted my video is pretty shocking, and connecting them with the investigative reporting teams who have been working on breaking this for years has greatly expedited this process,” Hunt claims. “I am confident this story will break soon.”

An important point here is that, according to Hunt, Swalwell’s office requires staffers to sign nondisclosure agreements, or  NDAs…

“It appears that others may have stayed quiet due to a belief that non-disclosure agreements required them to keep this secret,” Hunt wrote. “While it is true that most NDAs would be unenforceable under these circumstances, most people don’t know that until they speak to a lawyer.”

Other left-wing activists have chimed in to back up the allegation that allegations will soon be alleging these alleged allegations…
