Court Postpones Arraignment in Federal Case Against Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver, Gives Her Permission to Travel Internationally

A court on Friday postponed the arraignment in the case against Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver to June 25.

McIver’s arraignment was originally scheduled for June 16.

The court also gave LaMonica McIver permission to travel internationally after a judge previously ordered her to surrender her firearms and said she cannot travel outside of the US.

Earlier this week a federal grand jury returned a 3-count indictment charging Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver with forcibly impeding and interfering with federal law enforcement officers at the Delaney Hall detention center in Newark last month.

McIver is facing a maximum of 17 years in prison for all three counts.

California Democrats Dumped $73M into Migrant NGOs Opposing ICE

California’s Democrat-controlled state legislature has pushed tens of millions of tax dollars into the hands of non-governmental organizations that work to thwart deportation and out ICE agents, according to a report.

Five of these far-left, pro-illegal alien organizations have received $73.6 million in state tax dollars since 2023, according to a report by budget watchdog group Open The Books.

According to the review of state spending, the notorious group Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) was the biggest recipient of state funds, with handouts of a whopping $35,226,566 during 2023 and 2024.

CHIRLA has reportedly been at the center of efforts to track where ICE agents are working in Los Angeles so that activists can be dispatched to the area, often followed by rioters and agitators. The group has set up a tip line for members of the public to out ICE agent activity, as well.

“Aside from their current activities fomenting unrest in L.A., CHIRLA runs many different campaigns and programs as a part of their regular operations, including the ‘Wise Up!’ program to teach high schoolers how to become activists,” Open The Books reported. “The CHIRLA website states this program is an ‘initiative to organize high school students—both undocumented and allies—around immigrant rights, and full access to educational opportunities.’ The website further states WiseUp! ‘activates students’ by ‘engaging them civically to fight in the legislative arena and the public square for measures that ease their access to education and citizenship.’”

The longest-serving legislative leader in US history will be sentenced on corruption charges

Michael Madigan’s stunning political collapse is expected to culminate Friday when the longest-serving legislative leader in U.S. history is sentenced on federal bribery, conspiracy and wire fraud convictions tied to a scheme to push legislation in exchange for jobs and contracts for his associates.

The former Illinois House speaker was convicted in February on 10 of 23 counts in a remarkable corruption trial that lasted four months. The case churned through 60 witnesses and mountains of documents, photographs and taped conversations.

Madigan will appear in U.S. District Court Friday in Chicago, where Judge John Robert Blakey will determine his sentence.

Federal prosecutors are seeking a 12 1/2-year prison term. Madigan’s attorneys are seeking probation, contending the government’s sentence would “condemn an 83-year-old man to die behind bars for crimes that enriched him not one penny.”

During a legislative career that spanned a half-century, Madigan served nearly four decades as speaker, the longest on record for a U.S. legislator. Combined with more than 20 years as chairperson of the Illinois Democratic Party, he set much of the state’s political agenda while handpicking candidates for political office. More often than not, he also controlled political mapmaking, drawing lines to favor his party.

Meanwhile, prosecutors said, the Chicago Democrat built a private legal career that allowed him to amass a net worth of $40 million.

“I Am Senator Alex Padilla!”: Democrat Lawmaker Deported From DHS Press Conference, Placed In Handcuffs

Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) was physically removed from a DHS press conference and placed in handcuffs on Thursday, after reportedly lunging at Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem during a press conference in Los Angeles.

As Axios reports;

In a video posted to X by Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, Padilla was seen being grabbed and pushed out of the press conference while saying he had “questions for the secretary.”

  • “I am Senator Alex Padilla,” Padilla said in the video. He was then grabbed by multiple men and shoved out of the room.
  • Further video showed Padilla being handcuffed and detained in the hallway outside the room.
  • “He is not currently detained, and we are working to get additional information,” Padilla’s office said in a statement on Thursday.

Noem subsequently said she would contact Padilla and “try to have a conversation,” NBC News reported.

“STOLEN VALOR!” – Minnesota Rep. Pete Stauber GOES OFF, Screaming at Gov. Tim Walz for False Military Service Claims and Lawless Sanctuary State Policies in House Hearing

After seven hours of grueling testimony in an explosive House Oversight Committee hearing on Thursday, Rep. Pete Stauber (R-MN) called out his Governor, Tim Walz, for disastrous pro-BLM and sanctuary city policies, his statements comparing ICE agents to the Gestapo, and stolen valor claims.

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, sparks flew when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Chairman James Comer had a confrontation with far-left Democrat Florida Rep. Maxwell Frost when he disrupted the hearing, demanding the committee subpoena DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. Her crime: being accosted aggressively by another Democratic Senator who was thrown to the ground and arrested.

In Rep. Stauber’s fiery exchange with Tim Walz, the Congressman brought a photo of rioters in Minneapolis, Minnesota, burning a police station during the 2020 George Floyd riots. “It’s a precinct burning down because of your decision! Was this a peaceful protest?” Stauber said as Walz refused to admit the riots in Minneapolis were not peaceful protests.

Stauber told the Governor, “As I watched lawless devestate Los Angeles this past week, I was reminded of your failure to protect Minnesota from similar riots.”

The Congressman further slammed the Governor for refusing to apologize or walk back previous statements he was asked about at least four times throughout the hearing, comparing ICE officers to Nazis and calling them the “Gestapo,” which he refused to do once again in the seventh hour of the nearly eight-hour long hearing.

He then took aim at Minnesota’s record of welcoming and protecting illegal aliens, as a befuddled Walz fumbled answers to Minnesota’s harboring of Al-Shabaab terrorists, child predators, and whether or not the officers who arrested them are Nazi Gestapo. He kept referring to “the tactics of wearing masks,” which is done to protect the agents and officers from foreign enemies, gangsters, and murderers.

“Why did you tell us that they were the Gestapo? You believe that any of the violent illegal immigrants I have mentioned have a right to be in this country?” the Congressman exclaimed. Walz replied disgracefully, “I don’t know what their immigration status was.”

Eventually, after tearing Walz to shreds on his sanctuary state record, the Congressman started his war on Walz’s military service records and accusations of stolen valor against the failed Vice Presidential candidate, asking him, “What weapons did you carry in war?” When Walz began to answer with a lie about the weapons he carried in a war he never fought in, the Congressman cut him off, and Walz began questioning what weapon Stauber, who was a police officer, carried in war.

“Governor, you’re barking down the wrong tree, okay? You lied to the Minnesotans. You said that you carry weapons in war,” Stauber shouted. “Stolen valor! You didn’t carry weapons in war!”

Historically Ignorant Chicago Mayor Says Trump is What Country Would Look Like if the Confederacy Had Won the Civil War

If you need further proof that many of our cities and states are being run by first-class morons, look no further than Chicago’s Democrat Mayor Brandon Johnson.

While offering some recent comments about the Trump administration and the actions being carried out by ICE, Johnson suggested that this is what the country would look like if the Confederacy had won the American Civil War.

The mayor is apparently unaware that the Confederacy was a creation of members of his party and that the Republican party was founded to end the practice of slavery in the United States. Is he even aware that President Abraham Lincoln and General Ulysses S. Grant were Republicans?

Breitbart News reports:

Chicago Mayor: Trump Is ‘What U.S. Would Have Looked Like if the Confederacy Won’

Chicago’s radical, progressive, Democrat Mayor Brandon Johnson told the media on Wednesday that the Trump administration is “what our country would look like had the Confederacy won.”

The race-obsessed, left-wing mayor railed against the Trump administration after hundreds of protesters flooded the streets of the Windy City in opposition to the president’s lawful immigration enforcement policies. Johnson by turns called Trump a “terrorist” and a “racist” in his comments to the press.

The mayor with the single worst approval rating in the entire country also reminded the media that he recently said that Trump’s immigration policy is “what terrorism looks like.”

Earlier, Johnson said, “Federal agents should never be allowed to come into our city and assault elected officials or any Chicagoan. All residents have the right to due process under the Constitution, any action to the contrary is unconscionable,” in a statement after an ICE raid was protested last week.

Civil War 2.0?

Democrats have a long history of inciting violence. Examples abound, from starting the Civil War, to forming the KKK, to violently resisting school integration, to the Michael Brown and George Floyd riots, to the current anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles. Democrat-run cities are typically the most dangerous, poorly run environs in the U.S., and when you push the oppressor/victim narrative across the media landscape, violence gets put on the menu.

Their rhetoric ramped up during Trump 45’s administration when Democrat politicians and celebrities openly called for violence against President Trump and Republicans, even while accusing Republicans of being aggressors. And when their unhinged followers heed their suggestions, Democrats always claim to abhor violence. I heard it myself last night. I mentioned the protestors throwing bricks at federal officers, and a dinner companion said, “Well, you can only push people so far.”

Perhaps we should ask the parents of Laken RileyKate SteinleRachel Morin, and Jocelyn Nungaray how far they’ve been pushed.

The unrest in L.A. began when ICE arrested 40 individuals who were wanted on various charges. This prompted protests that quickly escalated into violence, including attacks on federal officers. One report suggested that the riots might be government-funded, pointing to ties with radical, left-wing organizations and NGOs, some of which allegedly receive taxpayer dollars. This seems plausible, as the Democrat party leadership has a historical opposition to ICE and openly supports sanctuary city policies.

Nicole Shanahan, RFK Jr.’s vice-presidential pick, echoed this sentiment, alleging a “CIA/Deep State” involvement in using violent migrants to target federal law enforcement, a claim that aligns with narratives of orchestrated chaos.

LA mayor Karen Bass and California governor Gavin Newsom have been labeled as “incompetent” as they remained inactive while riots persisted. This possibly suggests a tacit endorsement of the protests, perhaps as a way to challenge federal authority under a Republican administration.

Democrat Governors Are Rolling Back State-Funded Healthcare for Illegal Aliens – Why is the Left Not Protesting Them?

Some liberal Democrat governors are starting to roll back state (taxpayer) funded healthcare for people who are in the country illegally. Why is the left not protesting them? Could it be simply because the left gives Democrats a pass? Do they even know this is happening?

Under Gavin Newsom in California, the state is so broke that they are being forced to do this because there’s simply no money for it and the program came in costing billions of dollars more than people were told.

The same thing is now happening in Minnesota under Tim Walz and Illinois under JB Pritzker, all far left Democrats.

NBC News reports:

Democratic governors seek to roll back state-funded health care for undocumented immigrants

A trio of states with Democratic governors viewed as potential 2028 presidential candidates have taken steps in recent weeks to freeze or cut government-funded health care coverage for undocumented immigrants.

Democratic Govs. Gavin Newsom of California, JB Pritzker of Illinois and Tim Walz of Minnesota have largely attributed the proposals to budget shortfalls stemming from original plans to expand health care to immigrants without legal status.

But the moves also occur against the backdrop of broader debate within the Democratic Party over how to handle immigration, an issue that dragged it down in the last election and that President Donald Trump and the GOP have continued to try to capitalize on…

The latest development came in Minnesota on Tuesday, after both chambers of the Legislature passed a bill to end state-funded health care for undocumented adults…

Newsom’s plan in his 2025-26 budget has called for freezing enrollment for undocumented adults to receive the full scope of the state’s Medicaid program, known as Medi-Cal…

Union Chiefs, Jayapal, Pledge ‘Solidarity’ with Illegals, not Americans

Progressive union leaders are ditching ordinary Americans as they embrace illegal migrants in Los Angeles, just eight months after voters elected a president who declared his solidarity with ordinary Americans.

“In the labor movement, we were built on this word, and that word is ‘Solidarity,’” union leader Liz Shuler announced Monday at a raucous rally on Capitol Hill, adding:

Solidarity is what our brother David Huerta was showing up for last Friday, when he stood up for [illegal] immigrant workers in his community [Los Angeles] and when he was legally exercising his constitutional rights … That’s why I’m here, bringing the voices of 15 million working people in the AFL-CIO standing strong together to … end these unjust ICE raids right now! Ahora! [Today]

The arrested migrants “are our neighbors, our co-workers, these are people who are looking for a better life and are contributing to our economy,” Shuler told HuffPost.

But Americans’ wages are forced down when migrants can cross the border into Americans’ workplaces, just as strike breakers cross a picket line by striking workers at a workplace.

David Huerta is the head of the SEIU-United Service Workers West, which includes many illegal migrants. He was arrested during Friday’s chaotic blockade of a federal building in Los Angeles and faces several years in jail. He said in a Friday statement:

Hard-working people, and members of our family and our community, are being treated like criminals. We all collectively have to object to this madness because this is not justice. This is injustice.

Former Dem ‘super mayor’ pleads the Fifth after failing to produce public records in court

Chicago suburb’s former Democratic “super mayor” is facing yet another legal hurdle after failing to produce public records from her time in office after being held in contempt of court earlier this month.

In a hearing on Friday, Tiffany Henyard’s attorney Beau Bridley pleaded the Fifth on his client’s behalf after she was ordered to hand over public records from her time in office.

“The smear campaign against Tiffany Henyard, which began while she was in office, continues even now that she is out of office,” Bridley said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

Bridley conceded that the former mayor does not have the requested document, with an Illinois judge allowing Henyard’s legal team to submit an affidavit in its place.

“The mayor has no document that the plaintiff seeks,” Bridley said. “This matter is going to be resolved with a simple affidavit. The whole hearing was much ado about nothing.”

The hearing stems from a lawsuit filed by the Edgar County Watchdogs Inc., after the organization sued Henyard and the Village of Dolton for failing to produce financial records after the documents were requested under the Freedom of Information Act.
