Harris Releases Economic Plans

Vice President Kamala Harris described her economic agenda Friday in a North Carolina campaign speech. Harris’s proposals were widely described as “populist,” and also drew criticism from across the political spectrum.

Mirroring a policy championed by conservatives and pro-natalists such as Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), Harris also announced support for a child tax credit of $6,000 for newborns, and otherwise raising the tax credit for families to $3,000, where it was temporarily during Covid, from $2,000.

In another populist policy duplicating a proposal from the Trump campaign, Harris advocated ending taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers. 

On housing, Harris intends for the government to create a $40 billion fund for boosting construction, and for the construction of 3 million new housing units over the next four years. Harris also intends to provide $25,000 of assistance to first-generation homebuyers and tax-credits for first-time homebuyers.

One of the most controversial parts of Harris’s economic proposals came when she announced that, if elected president, she intends to use the Federal Trade Commission to impose “harsh penalties” on companies that are engaging in price gouging. Many have interpreted this as a call for price controls, a task possibly beyond the legal powers of the FTC

RFK Jr. Blocked from Testifying at Court Hearing on Pennsylvania Ballot Eligibility

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was effectively silenced by Democrat operatives during a crucial court hearing in Pennsylvania—a state that’s a must-win for anyone eyeing the presidency.

The Democrats’ latest stunt? Preventing Kennedy from testifying on his own behalf as they attempt to bar him from the ballot, claiming that his candidacy paperwork includes a bogus home address.

The allegation, which reeks of desperation, is part of a broader smear campaign aimed at keeping RFK Jr. out of the running.

Kennedy’s lawyer expressed outrage over the judge’s decision to proceed without allowing Kennedy to testify after his flight was canceled.

“This is the first that I’m hearing about this,” Commonwealth Court Judge Lori Dumas said, showing little concern for the unforeseen travel issues that led to Kennedy’s late arrival.

The hearing was scheduled to be in Philadelphia, but the last-minute change to Harrisburg severely limited Kennedy’s travel options—a fact the judge seemed all too eager to ignore.

“He was late through no fault of his own,” said RFK Jr.’s attorney, Paul Rossi. “We don’t control the airlines, and when the airline cancels the flight into Harrisburg, as you know, flights into Harrisburg are far and few between, unlike Philadelphia, where this, where this hearing was originally to be scheduled.”

At DNC, Bernie Sanders Says Rich Donors Shouldn’t be Allowed to Buy Primary Elections – Yet That’s What Democrats Just Did!

Bernie Sanders spoke at the Democrat National Convention tonight and decried big money in politics, even going so far as to say that rich donors should not be allowed to buy primary elections.

That’s funny, considering that is exactly what just happened. After Biden’s disastrous debate performance, rich, Hollywood, Democrat donor George Clooney wrote an op-ed for the New York Times in July, calling on other big donors to withhold cash from the Democrat party unless and until they replaced Joe Biden with someone else.

In the days that followed, almost all of the big Democrat donors basically starved Joe Biden out of the race. These donors caused the party to cast aside the 14 million primary votes that had gone to Joe Biden over many months and installed Kamala Harris as the nominee.

And yet, Bernie Sanders can stand in front of the crowd at the DNC and say this with a straight face.

Pittsburgh diners fume over ‘staged’ Harris campaign stop as popular restaurant cleared: ‘Mind-boggling’

Patrons at a Pittsburgh culinary landmark were outraged Monday after they claimed they were forced to leave the premises before Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz arrived for a weekend campaign stop.

Several people who had been enjoying food, drinks and the Pittsburgh Pirates game on TV at Primanti Bros. in Moon, Pennsylvania, on Sunday said they were all forced out of the restaurant promptly at 4 p.m.

Mark Dodson of Collier, who said he was just in the area to enjoy “the Bucs” – as the Pirates are nicknamed – simply wanted a quiet day.

“I wanted to watch some sports and enjoy an afternoon lunch,” said Dodson, as Primanti is known for its signature Pittsburgh-style sandwiches piled high with sliced meats and french fries – a Steel City custom.

Humiliating Mistakes Quickly Spotted as Democrats Release 2024 Platform: ‘They’re Accidentally Telling the Truth’

Vice President Kamala Harris is a cut-and-paste nominee. If you’ve ever questioned it, you needn’t do so any longer.

The Democrats confirmed it through several humiliating mistakes found in their 2024 platform for the Democratic National Convention.

In short: Simply expect more of the same. The familiarly odious platform will be voted on this week during the Democratic convention.

At least five references in the platform identified President Joe Biden as the Democratic party’s 2024 presidential candidate in the document. The lack of astute editing became the tell-all component of the forced switch from Biden to Harris. Harris was obviously inserted when Biden gave in to his hastily orchestrated exit.

Senior editor of The Federalist, John Daniel Davidson, shed light on the truth shared accidentally in a comment on social media platform X, when he re-posted some choice screen shots from reporter Greg Price.

“They’re accidentally telling the truth here,” he posted to X. “A Harris administration would simply be a second Biden term, which in fact would be rule by the deep state/administrative bureaucracy that has been running the country since Biden took office as an empty figurehead.”

SOCIALISM 101: Kamala Harris Confirms Plan For Massive Tax Hikes, Will Roll Back Trump’s Signature Legislation

Kamala Harris is planning massive tax hikes for corporate America that will inevitably impact the lives of ordinary Americans, her campaign has confirmed.

In a statement provided to NBC News, campaign spokesman James Singer, confirmed she would push for a 28 percent corporate tax rate, calling it “a fiscally responsible way to put money back in the pockets of working people and ensure billionaires and big corporations pay their fair share.”

“As President, Kamala Harris will focus on creating an opportunity economy for the middle class that advances their economic security, stability, and dignity,” said Singer.

While supporters of corporate tax rises will claim that they will not impact ordinary Americans, they will contribute to the continued decline of the American economy, with some companies inevitably moving their operations abroad.

Such a move would also lead to the continued squeezing of small business, higher inflation and consumer prices and less economic opportunity for all.

It would, however, temporarily increase the tax revenue toward the federal government, with which Harris and the Democratic Party will continue to grow the already unsustainable national debt.

Radical Far-Left Violence an Imminent Threat in Chicago – Activist Group Calls to ‘Shut Down the DNC for Gaza” and Promises to “Make 2024 as Great as 1968!”

The Democrat National Convention has come to Chicago and the scent of nostalgia permeates the air. References to the 1968 convention have spread like wildfire throughout myriad news outlets across the internet in recent weeks. Chicago is sure to become a hotbed of chaos and protest. As WGN in Chicago reports, 100K Pro-Palestenian protesters are expected to be in Chicago for the Democrat National Convention.

The recent assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump and the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy in 1968 draw parallels to the heightened political tensions of both 1968 and 2024. Ironically, the Democrats find themselves in a similar political quandary as they will nominate a candidate that the people have not chosen just as they did after the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy following his California primary victory in 1968.

As was the case in 1968, the country seems to be growing weary of the war-industrial complex. A recent poll from The Chicago Council on Global Affairs shows a majority of Americans oppose using U.S. troops to defend Israel. Another poll from CNN in August 2023 showed a majority of Americans oppose U.S. aid to Ukraine. Seemingly, the Democrats have supplanted the Neocons as the war party after Donald Trump labeled himself the peace negotiator-in-chief. This will be a delicate political landscape to navigate as the radical left of their party is dogmatically supportive of Palestine and an anti-war footing.

As in 1968, a radicalized anti-war element is poised for political fervor that will likely bring violence and destruction to the city of Chicago this week. Chicago, a Democrat stronghold since the first Mayor Richard Daley of the 1960s, (the city has not had a Republican mayor since 1931) has long been considered one of the most politically corrupt cities in the country. The radicalism of the left is no stranger to the city of Chicago. Operating as a sanctuary city, Chicago’s open-door policy to the illegal immigration population has brought chaos that has led to a 2024 tax increase of over $1B.

Chicago Police Boss: No Repeat of 1968 Violence as Protesters Descend on DNC

The head of the Chicago Police Department said that his law enforcement agency is ready for potentially thousands of protesters descending on the Democratic National Convention (DNC), slated to be held this week in Chicago.

“It’s not 1968. Our officers are trained differently,” Police Supt. Larry Snelling told Chicago-area station WMAQ-TV in reference to the infamous 1968 demonstrations and riots at the DNC against the Vietnam War.

“The department has evolved. Our officers have evolved. We’ve been training for this event for over a year, so the preparedness is what’s important,” he said.

Roughly 50,000 people are expected in Chicago for the convention, including thousands of anti-Israel war activists who plan to demonstrate near the United Center where Vice President Kamala Harris will officially accept the party’s nomination, officials have said.

The largest group, the Coalition to March on the DNC, has planned demonstrations on the first and last days of the convention. Organizers with that group say they expect at least 20,000 people, including students who protested the Israel–Hamas conflict on college campuses.

“The people with power are going to be there,” said Liz Rathburn, a University of Illinois Chicago organizer of protests. “People inside the United Center are the people who are going to be deciding our foreign policy in one way or another.”

First Rule of Famine Club

One of the worst things governments can do when things go badly — but always seem to do — is make price controls. Gas on fire.

In case of actual food emergency, police military, thugs, and hungry people, go house to house, warehouse to warehouse, farm to farm — and seize food. People become expert at hiding food.

Farms often are picked over by plagues of locust-people. Farmers stop farming…

Hoarders, speculators, and preppers are different sorts, but they all get blamed as if they are hoarders.

Hoarders who buy everything they can get at last minute are a problem.

Preppers actually REDUCE the problem because they are not starving and stressing the supplies, but preppers get blamed as if they are hoarders.

Speculators, as with preppers, often buy far in advance of the problems and actually part of the SOLUTION. They buy when prices are lower and supplies are common.

Speculators can be fantastic. When prices skyrocket, speculators find a way to get their supplies to market even when they must travel far even to another country. But dirty governments run by dimwits will often call speculators “hoarders” and arrest them and seize their supplies.

Governments who often cause food emergencies always blame farmers, distributors, retailers, for price gouging and hoarding. Government price fixing, seizures, crime from government, and street thugs, causes actual production and distribution to plummet. That’s when the REAL problems start — and potatoes are worth far more than gold.
