Trump Goes Off Following Liberal Think Tank’s Report that DC National Guard Deployment Did Not Curb Crime, Says Lawsuit Already in the Works

President Trump went off on reporting from the “foolish Center for American Lack of Progress” that the National Guard deployment in Washington, DC, and other cities across the nation had “no effect” on crime. 

Chandler Hall, Associate Director for Public Safety at the liberal think tank, Center for American Progress, wrote in July that “costly National Guard deployments have failed to reduce violent crime despite its claims of success.”

“The second Trump administration is trying to take credit for the historic drop in violent crime across America despite the fact that this trend began before it took office, and it is using these declines to justify expanding policies that are unpopular, ineffective, and costly,” the article reads, claiming that data “clearly show” crime was already declining under Biden and labeling Trump’s policies as “extreme.” Chandler further claimed that Trump’s first National Guard deployment in Los Angeles to curb violent anti-ICE riots was a “road map for subsequent authoritarian power grabs.”
