Minnesota: ‘Nearly Every’ Somali Household with Children Is on Welfare

More than 8-in-10 households headed by Somali refugees in the state of Minnesota are on one or more forms of American taxpayer-funded welfare, new data published by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) reveals.

The data, based on 10 years of data from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey (ACS), shows drastic disparities between native-born American households and Somali-born households in Minnesota, where nearly 80,000 residents have Somali ancestry compared to zero who had Somali ancestry in 1990.

In particular, the data shows that 81 percent of Minnesota households headed by Somali refugees are on one or more forms of welfare, including 27 percent who are on cash welfare, 54 percent who are on food stamps, and 73 percent who are on Medicaid.

Compare this massive welfare use to native-born Americans residing in Minnesota, only 21 percent of whom are on one or more forms of welfare, including just 6 percent who are on cash welfare, 7 percent who are on food stamps, and 18 percent who are on Medicaid.

MEMO: Joe Biden Was Warned His Immigration Policies Would Cause Chaos at the Southern Border – He Did it Anyway

As much as it seems like Joe Biden was not mentally present throughout his presidency and did not really have any idea what was going on, he apparently did get some warnings at the beginning.

In a newly unearthed memo, Biden was reportedly warned that his stance on immigration would cause chaos at the southern border and it certainly did.

We will likely be feeling the effects of Joe Biden’s awful presidency for years to come.

The New York Post reports:

Biden was warned his soft-on-immigration proposals would cause ‘chaos’ — but he ignored it, damning memo reveals

President Joe Biden was warned by advisers that his immigration plans could lead to “chaos” at the US border — but he ignored them, a newly uncovered memo reveals.

His team doled out the advice to Biden when he was still campaigning against President Trump back in 2020, the New York Times reported.

“A potential surge could create chaos and a humanitarian crisis, overwhelm processing capacities and imperil the agenda of the new administration,” Biden’s advisers wrote.

The memo warned that a huge influx was possible given Biden’s approach, a backlog from the Trump administration, and COVID hardships.

His team offered up steps that Biden, now 83, could take to thwart an influx of illegal migrants — including ways to reject immigration claims more easily, potentially holding asylum seekers in “reception centers” until their cases could be heard and transferring them to other countries.

Biden, however, opted to ignore the advice.

When Biden took office just months later, his policy advisers continued to urge the administration to crack down on border crossings and increase border enforcement.

Trump was elected in part to handle this problem and did he ever.

A new CBP report confirms that. House Speaker Mike Johnson recently tweeted about it.

Second Dem-run state hit by accusations of widespread Somali fraud… with woke lawmaker giving vile answer to voter who asked him about it

A second Democrat-run state has been hit by accusations of fraud within the Somali community, prompting a vile response from one lawmaker who was quizzed about it by a constituent.

As Minnesota grapples with one of the biggest fraud scandals in US history, a whistleblower in Maine has now stepped forward alleging state taxpayers have been defrauded out of funds meant for social services.

Christopher Bernardini told NewsNation he worked as a ‘billing guru’ for Portland-based Gateway Community Services for seven years until April 2025 – while they were allegedly defrauding Maine’s Medicaid program.

The company’s founder and CEO, Abdullahi Ali, is a Somali-American who ran for president of Jubaland, a state in Somalia, last year while juggling his role as executive director.

He came under fire at the time amid reports from The Maine Wire that he had boasted of funding the militia to ‘help the troops buy weapons, bullets and food’ while he was in America.

The comments sparked concerns about whether any of the $28.8million in payments his LLC received via MaineCare had been misappropriated.

The Daily Mail has contacted Gateway Community Services for comment.

Ali wrote on X: ‘I make no apologies for building a successful business in Maine, working hard to earn a living, earning my PhD, giving back to my Maine community, and running for office in Jubaland.

‘I am proud to contribute my hard-earned $ to support my people back home. America is a nation of laws—you cannot change facts by fabricating false stories. I am proud Somali-American.’

Former TSA Agent Says $1 Billion in Cash Was Flown Out of Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport by Somali Men!

Liz Collin, an investigative journalist from Minnesota who was threatened by Antifa at her home and was fired from her TV job for her reporting during the Derek Chauvin scandal in 2020, is now independent on Youtube.

Collin has posted an interview with Liz Jackson, who worked for the TSA from 2016 – 2021, and witnessed “suitcases filled with millions of dollars of cash. And the couriers were always Somali men traveling in pairs and they got through the checkpoint.” She said that law enforcement would check their identification, so a trail of the exportation of the money should exist. She said that the transport scheme occurred about once per week and estimated that $1 billion was shipped out of the US. She believes it was delivered to the Somali terror group al-Shabaab.

Liz Collin breaks down her investigation into Somali fraud rings that are linked to Democrat politicians like Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, Governor Tim Walz, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey. The social service scams under investigation include the ‘Feeding Our Future’ program that claimed to provide meals using COVID funds, the dramatic increase in autism funding in the Somali community and the alleged Medicaid fraud in a Housing Stabilization program for the disabled.

OUTRAGEOUS: Woke Nashville Judges Demand “Heightened Security” After Being Called Out for Releasing Migrant Criminal — Attack Rep. Andy Ogles While Ignoring Brutal Rape and Murder of Young Woman

The judges of the Davidson County General Sessions Court have launched a full-scale PR panic, issuing formal letters and a public statement after Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) called out the court’s catastrophic failure that led to the horrific rape and death of a young Nashville woman, a crime committed by a “dangerous migrant criminal” who had been released more than a dozen times under their watch.

Instead of apologizing to the victim’s family, instead of taking responsibility, instead of acknowledging the deadly consequences of their open-borders judicial philosophy, the judges are now attacking Congressman Ogles and demanding heightened security at the courthouse.

Their complaint? Ogles posted the truth and warned Tennesseans that, “we are at war” with woke officials whose soft-on-crime extremism is killing innocent people.

The judges immediately rushed to portray themselves as victims.

On December 5, Rep. Andy Ogles publicly released the photos and names of multiple Davidson County General Sessions Court judges in posts on Facebook and in a thread on X.

His message referenced a brutal case in which Mohamed Mohamed was arrested for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman near a church in Nashville’s Woodbine neighborhood back in August.

Ogles asserted that the suspect had been taken into custody “more than a dozen times,” yet every single one of those cases had been dismissed by the very judges he called out.

Tom Homan Looking at Ilhan Omar’s Immigration Files Over Alleged Fraudulent Marriage to Her Brother

Trump administration Border Czar Tom Homan said in an interview Monday night on Newsmax that he had asked for the immigration records of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) to be pulled for his review over allegations the Somali refugee married her brother to help him gain residency in the United States.

President Donald Trump brought up the allegation against Omar while speaking to reporters in the Oval Office last week.

Omar appeared on CBS’ Face the Nation on Sunday but was not asked about the allegation of immigration fraud.

Beyond the Pale: Ilhan Omar Says Somalis Are the Actual Victims of the Massive Somali Fraud Scandal

Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar tried to play the victim when questioned Sunday about the massive fraud perpetrated by those of Somali descent in her state and district, but her argument rings hollow.

CBS News “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan introduced the subject, noting that the Justice Department uncovered and prosecuted more than $1 billion in fraudulent payments, mostly going to those from the Somali community in Minnesota.

“Of the 87 people charged, all but eight are of Somali descent, and that has added to the spotlight being put specifically on your community,” Brennan said.

“Why do you think this fraud was allowed to get so widespread?” the host asked.

“I want to say, you know, this also has an impact on Somalis, because we are also taxpayers in Minnesota,” Omar replied.

“We also could have benefited from the program and the money that was stolen. And so it’s been really frustrating for people to not acknowledge the fact that we’re also — as Minnesotans, as taxpayers — really upset and angry about the fraud that has occurred,” she said.

Somalia’s Average IQ Score Meets the U.S. Standard for Intellectual Disability

Minnesota’s Somali community has been treated for years as a political talking point rather than a population that deserves honest evaluation. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz insists the community poses no financial or public-safety burden. Democrats frame all criticism as racism.

But the numbers tell a different story—one that Minnesotans have been asked to ignore even as the state confronted one of the largest welfare-fraud schemes in U.S. history.

Federal prosecutors uncovered a $250–$300 million network of falsified child-nutrition and Medicaid claims, much of it operating through organizations rooted in Somali enclaves.

The total fraud is now estimated by some to exceed $1 billion. The scandal reflects deeper structural problems tied to human-capital realities that Democrats refuse to acknowledge.

Minnesota has a population of about 5.7 million, including approximately 107,000 Somali-born or Somali-American residents—roughly 1.5% of the state.

Yet according to state data, about 58% of Somali Minnesotans live in poverty, or roughly 62,000 people, compared with 530,000 Minnesotans overall. That means the Somali community represents nearly 12% of the state’s total poverty population despite making up less than 2% of its residents.

This imbalance translates into real fiscal consequences.

Minnesota spends billions annually on welfare-related programs. Using per-capita calculations, the Somali poverty footprint represents an estimated $2.8 billion in yearly public-assistance obligations.

That burden falls on taxpayers—many of whom were never told the scale of the dependency they were financing.

State leaders also insist Somali Minnesotans do not disproportionately contribute to crime. Governor Walz has repeatedly made that claim without supplying data to support it.

The federal record tells a different story.

Across the United States, Black migrants make up 5.4% of immigrants, yet account for 20.3% of immigrants facing removal because of criminal convictions. That category consists mostly of East Africans, including Somali nationals.

The Minnesota Fraud Scandal Just Got a Whole Lot Worse for Walz and Omar

Earlier this month, over 400 Minnesota Department of Human Services employees accused Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz of being “100% responsible” for the massive fraud in Minnesota. I wrote at the time that the Minnesota Somali fraud scandal could take down Walz, and every day it looks even more likely. And what do you know, the scandal just got significantly worse for Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar. Newly surfaced photographs show both Democrats smiling alongside Abdul Dahir Ibrahim, a Somali national and convicted fraudster who spent decades in America as an illegal immigrant before Immigration and Customs Enforcement recently arrested him.

Ibrahim’s rap sheet stretches back to Canada, where he was convicted of asylum and welfare fraud before slipping into the United States through New York in 1995, following his deportation from Canada. Despite his history, Ibrahim managed to remain in the country for roughly 30 years, accumulating at least a dozen traffic and parking violations along the way. In 2002, he was arrested for driving without a valid license and for providing false information to law enforcement, earning him a fine and one year of probation. An immigration judge ordered his removal on April 3, 2004, citing significant fraud associated with him. Yet Ibrahim wasn’t arrested until 2025, a staggering 21 years after that deportation order was issued.

Small Business Administration Uncovers $1M Somali Community Fraud in Minnesota

The Small Business Administration has discovered that the fraud among the Somali community in Gov. Tim Walz’s Minnesota is still growing with its finding of one million dollars in PPP loan fraud.

Trump-appointed Small Business Administrator Kelly Loeffler took to her X account to report finding the massive fraud of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) that was launched to save businesses struggling to survive the oppressive government policies meant to address the COVID crisis in 2020.

“Numerous individuals and nonprofits indicted in the $1 billion Minnesota COVID fraud scandal, including Feeding Our Future, received SBA PPP loans in addition to other state and federal funding,” Loeffler wrote. “I have ordered an investigation into the network of Somali organizations and executives implicated in these schemes.”

“Despite Governor Walz’s best efforts to obstruct, SBA continues to work to expose abuse and hold perpetrators accountable, full stop,” she said.
