Ilhan Omar Chuckles Nervously When Asked if She Married Her Brother, Says “Not to My Knowledge”

Rep. Ilhan Omar gave a weird response when asked if she married her brother in an interview on Wednesday, suggesting she’s unsure of the answer in an awkward, apparent attempt at sarcasm.

This comes as feds have obtained Omar’s DNA, which could be used to prove that she married her brother to commit immigration fraud. However, the probe appears to be focused on Ilhan Omar’s own fraudulent naturalization and other crimes involving her finances.

During an interview with MS Now’s Chris Hayes on Wednesday, her first since the raid on her Washington, DC, home last Monday, the two spoke about Omar’s marriage to her biological brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. The claim was first reported by a Somali website called Somalispot.

She continued, “And they just kind of went and like found random people who were like, she introduced us, you know, ‘she introduced him to us and said he was her brother,’ which is, you know, insane. I mean, I don’t, I don’t know those people that they talk about.”

Hayes then asked, “You were not related to him at all? There’s not some weird kernel of truth?”
